Predictive tests for the identification of contact sensitizing chemicals have been developed. We measured the sensitization potential with three predictive tests, the in vitro and the in vivo Local Lymph Node Assay(LLNA), ELISA to detect interferon-gamma(IFN-${\gamma}$) from supernatant and flow cytometry to detect change of cell surface proteins, using draining lymph nodes of mice. BALB/c mice were exposed to various chemicals or vehicles on the ears daily for 3 consecutive days in all experiments. With some exceptions of propyl paraben, neomycin sulfate, the in vivo LLNA was able to detect the sensitizing capacity of test chemicals and was more sensitive than the in vitro LLNA for chemicals used in the present study. In another experiment, contact sensitivity was assessed by the ELISA to detect IFN-Υ from the supernatants of the cultured LNCs after sensitization with chemicals. There was a good correlation between the LLNA and the IFN-Υ production for test chemicals. We also examined the change of cell surface proteins on LNCs after sensitization by flow cytometry for some cell adhesion molecules(ICAM-1, E-cadherine, B7 molecule), T cell markers(CD3, CD4, CD8, T$\alpha$$\beta$,T${\gamma}$$\delta$) and B cell markers(LR1, CD45R, I-Ad). The number of ICAM-1 positive cells and B cells in LNCs were increased after sensitization with DNCB, TNCB, isoeugenol and 25%, 50% cinnamic aldehyde compared with that of vehicle as a control. In conclusion, the in vivo LLNA could provide more sensitive screening test for moderate to strong sensitizers and some weak sensitizers including cosmetic raw materials than the in vitro LLNA. The production of IFN-Υ by allergen-activated LNCs might be a values indicators without radioisotopes for the identification of contact allergens. Detection of allergens by testing the increase of ICAM-1 positive cells and B cells in LNCs by flow cytometry might be used as a test method to detect allergens.
L1 cell adhesion molecule (L1CAM) is a cell surface molecule to initiate a variety of cellular responses through interacting with other cell adhesion molecules in a homophilic or heterophilic manner. Although its expression was found to be upregulated in some tumor cells, including cholangiocarcinomas, and ovarian cancers, and many studies have investigated the role of L1CAM in these cancers, its role in inflammatory responses has been poorly understood. In this study, we explored the role of L1CAM in macrophage-mediated inflammatory responses. L1CAM significantly suppressed the production of nitric oxide (NO), but induced cell proliferation in RAW264.7 cells. L1CAM expression was detectable, but its expression was markedly decreased by lipopolysaccharide (LPS) in RAW264.7 cells. In addition, the expression of pro-inflammatory genes, such as tumor necrosis factor (TNF)-${\alpha}$, cyclooxygenase (COX)-2, and inducible nitric oxide synthase (iNOS) induced by LPS was dramatically suppressed by L1CAM in RAW264.7 cells. L1CAM inhibited the transcriptional activities of NF-${\kappa}B$ and AP-1 while its cytoplasmic domain deletion form, $L1{\Delta}CD$ did not suppressed their activities in RAW264.7 cells. Moreover, L1CAM suppressed nuclear translocation of p65 and p50 as well as c-Jun, c-Fos and p-ATF2 which are transcription factors of NF-${\kappa}B$ and AP-1, respectively. In conclusion, L1CAM suppressed inflammatory responses in macrophages through inhibiting NF-${\kappa}B$ and AP-1 pathways.
Hydrobromic acid salts of new N, N, O tridentate ligands containing phenol, 2-[(2-Methylamino- ethyl- amino)-methyl]-phenol(H-MMP. 2HBr), 5-Bromo-2-[(2-Methylamino-ethylamino)-methyl]-phenol (Br- MMP. 2HBr), 5-Chloro-2-[(2-Methylamino-ethylamino)-methyl]-phenol(Cl-MMP. 2HBr), 5-Methyl-2-[(2-Methylamino-ethylamino)-methyl]-phenol(Me-MMP. 2HBr), 5-Methoxy-2-I(2-Methylamino-ethylamino)- methyl]-phenol(MeO- MMP. 2HBr) and. 1-[(2-Methylamino-ethylamino)- methyl]-naphthalen-2-ol(Nap- MMP. 2HBr) were synthesized. The synthesized ligands were confirmed by C. H. N. atomic analysis, UV-visible and IR spectroscopies, $^1$H NMR, $^{13}$C NMR and mass analysis. The potentiometry study revealed that the proton dissociation constants(logK$_n^H$) of the synthesized ligands and stability constants (logK$_{ML}$, logK$_{LM2}$) of transition metal complexes of Co(II), Ni(II), Cu(II), Zn(II), Cd(II) and Pb(II) ions occurred in three steps and the order of the calculated overall proton dissociation constants(log$\beta_p$) and stability constants (logK$_{ML}$) of ligands was Br-MMP. 2HBr < Cl-MMP 2HBr < H-MMP. 2HBr < Nap-MMP. 2HBr < Me-MMP. 2HBr < MeO-MMP. 2HBr. The order showed a similar trend to that of Hammett substituent constants($\delta_p$). The synthesized ligands usually form 2:1(ML$_2$) complexes with transition metal ions. The order of the stability constants of each transition metal ions was Co(II) < Ni(II) < Cu(II) ;> Zn(II) ;> Cd(II) ;> Pb(II).
New CCD photometric observations of GX Aur have been made between 2004 and 2015. Our light curves are the first ever compiled and display the variable O'Connell effect. The light variations are satisfactorily modeled by including time-varying cool-spots on the component stars. Our light curve synthesis indicates that the eclipsing pair is an A-type contact binary with parameters of i = 81.1 deg, ${\Delta}T=36K$, q = 0.950 and f = 46%. Including our 25 timing measurements, a total of 83 times of minimum light spanning about 66 yr were used for a period study. It was found that the orbital period of GX Aur has varied due to two periodic oscillations superposed on an upward-opening parabolic variation. The long-term period increase rate is deduced as $+9.636{\times}10^{-10}d\;yr^{-1}$, which can be produced as a mass transfer from the secondary star to the primary at a rate of $3.136{\times}10^{-6}M_{\odot}\;yr^{-1}$, among the largest rates for contact systems. The periods and semi-amplitudes of the two periodic variations are about $P_3=8.7yr$ and $P_4=21.2yr$, and $K_3=0.011d$ and $K_4=0.017d$, respectively. The most reasonable explanation for both cycles is a pair of light-travel-time effects driven by the possible existence of an unseen third and fourth components with projected masses of $M_3=0.91M_{\odot}$ and $M_4=1.09M_{\odot}$ in eccentric orbits of $e_3=0.13$ and $e_4=0.73$. Because no third light was detected in the light curve synthesis, each circumbinary object could be a compact star or a binary itself.
In this study, fatigue properties and crack growth characteristics of a polycarbonate (PC) were examined during cyclic loading at various mean stress (${\sigma}_{amp}$) and stress amplitude (${\sigma}_{mean}$) conditions. Different S vs. N and da/dN vs. ${\Delta}K$ relations were obtained depending on the loading condition. The higher fatigue strength and the higher resistance of crack growth are seen for the PC samples cyclically loaded at the higher mean stress and lower stress amplitude due to the low crack driving force. Non-linear S - N relationship was detected in the examination of the fatigue properties with changing the mean stress. This is attributed to the different crack growth rate (longer fatigue life): the sample loaded at the high mean stress with lower stress amplitude. Even if the higher stress amplitude, the low fatigue properties are obtained for the sample loaded at the higher mean stress. This was due to the accumulated strain energy to the sample, where severe plastic deformation occurs instead of crack growth (plasticity-induced crack closure). Shear bands and discontinuous crack growth band (DGB) are observed clearly on the fracture surfaces of the sample cyclically loaded at the high stress amplitude, where the lower the ${\sigma}_{mean}$, the narrower the shear band and DGB. On the other hand, final fracture occurred instantly immediately after the short crack growth occurs in the PC sample loaded at the high mean with the low ${\sigma}_{amp}$, i.e., tear fracture, in which the shear bands and DGB are not seen clearly.

The 3 ${\mu}{\textrm}{m}$-thick PVDF (polyvinylidene fluoride) thin film have been prepared using physical vapor deposition with electric field, and its FT-IR spectrum, dielectric property and electric conduction phenomenon have been investigated. Since the characteristic peaks are detected at 509.45 [$cm^{-1}$ /] and 1273.6 [$cm^{-1}$ /]in the FT-IR spectrum, we are confirmed that the $\beta$ -phase is dominant in the PVDF thin film. In the results of dielectric properties, the PVDF thin film shows anomalous dispersion, i.e. gradual decrease of dielectric constant with increase of frequency, and also that the dielectric absorption point changes from 200 Hz to 7000 Hz with increasing temperature of thin film, which is consistent with the Debye's theory. The activation energy ( $\Delta$H) obtained from temperature dependence of dielectric loss is 21.64 ㎉/mole. We confirm that the electric conduction mechanism of PVDF thin film is dominated by ionic conduction by investigating the dependence of the leakage current of the thin film on the temperature and the electric field.
We have built a near-infrared imaging camera with a PtSi array detector manufactured by the Mitsubishi Company. The PtSi detector is sensitive in the wavelength range 1 to $5{\mu}m$. Quantum efficiency of PtSi is much lower than that of InSb and HgCdTe types. However, the PtSi array has advantages over the latter ones: (i)The read-out noise is very low; (ii)the characteristics of the array elements arc uniform and stable; (iii)it is not difficult to make a large PtSi array; and (iv) consequently the price is affordably low. The array used consists of $512{\times}512$ pixels and its size is $10.2\;mm{\times}13.3\;mm$. The filter wheel of the camera is equipped with J, H, K filters, and an aluminum plate for measuring the dark noise. The dewar is cooled with liquid nitrogen. We have adopted a method of installing the clock pattern and the observing softwares in the RAM, which Gill he easily used for other systems. We have developed a software with a pull-down menu for operating the camera and data acquisition. The camera has been tested by observing $\delta$ Orionis.
We report the solid-liquid phase equilibria on the $GdBa_2Cu_3O_{7-{\delta}}$ (GdBCO) stability phase diagram in low oxygen pressures ($PO_2$) ranging from 1 to 100 mTorr. On the basis of the GdBCO stability phase diagram experimentally determined in low oxygen pressures, the isothermal sections of three different phase fields on log $PO_2$ vs. 1/T diagram were schematically constructed within the $Gd_2O_3-Ba_2CuO_y-Cu_2O$ ternary system, and the solid-liquid phase equilibria in each phase field were described. The invariant points on the phase boundaries include the following three reactions; a pseudobinary peritectic reaction of $GdBCO{\leftrightarrow}Gd_2O_3$ + liquid ($L_1$), a ternary peritectic reaction of $GdBCO{\leftrightarrow}Gd_2O_3+GdBa_6Cu_3O_y$ + liquid ($L_2$), and a monotectic reaction of $L_1{\leftrightarrow}GdBa_6Cu_3O_y+L_2$. A conspicuous feature of the solid-liquid phase equilibria in low $PO_2$ regime (1 - 100 mTorr) is that the GdBCO phase is decomposed into $Gd_2O_3+L_1$ or $Gd_2O_3+GdBa_6Cu_3O_y+L_2$ rather than $Gd_2BaCuO_5+L$ well-known in high $PO_2$ like air.

This study proposes the suggested amount of clothing (SAC) and examines the preferred amount of clothing (PAC) for thermal comfort in mild cold conditions. Six male and nine female college students were systematically exposed to mild cold conditions by reducing the amount of clothing (Step I, 1.2clo ${\rightarrow}$ Step II, 1.0clo ${\rightarrow}$ Step III, 0.8clo ${\rightarrow}$ Step IV, 0.7clo). The subjects were then asked to adjust the amount of clothing to attain overall thermal comfort until they maintained thermal comfort for 10 minutes without changing the amount of clothing (Step V). The experiment was carried out in a climatic chamber at $19.5^{\circ}C$, 50%R.H. Body composition was measured and individual cold climate adaptability was surveyed before starting the experiment. Rectal temperature ($T^{re}$), skin temperature ($T_{sk}$), and oxygen consumption ($\dot{V}O_2$) were measured and the overall thermal sensation was voted in each step. PAC was obtained from the garments weight selected by each subject in Step V. SAC was proposed based on the change of oxygen consumption (${\Delta}\dot{V}O_2$). As a result, males showed higher $\bar{T}_{sk}$ and greater $O_2$ than females (p<.01). SAC obtained from $\dot{V}O_2$ were 652.0 (SE 3.9) g/$m^2$ for males and 766.0 (SE 2.5) g/$m^2$ for females and it was significantly different between groups (p<.01). PAC of males and females were 1.6 and 1.5 times heavier than SAC. In conclusion, females were more sensitive to the cold stress and recommended larger amount of clothing than males.

The purpose of the present studies is to establish more rational and practical planning theory for trails of gradient. The results drawn from this research work are as follow ; Mean angle according to topography of Jiga road is $3^{\circ}$33'in low part, $8^{\circ}$17'in middle park and $12^{\circ}$48'in high part. Here, we can find that the highest gradient of Jige roacl is $12^{\circ}$48, Which is showing the fact that jigs road is the most function road when we compare other roads. The regression coefficient between potential model pattern and calculuted model pattern is 0.8 withinTEX>$ 0~<5^{\circ}$, 0.5 within$ 6~10^{\circ}$, and 0.53 within $11~16^{\circ}$. The linear of these model pattern is lower in R & L value, and lager in S & A value according to be steeping gradient. It is thought that these fact are closely related with between human fatigue and R.S.A.L value. Accordingly, when we plan the trails of the gradient in city park, the from of trails is right to mix straight line with curve line within $0~5^{\circ}$, and sine wave close curve line within $6~10 ^{\circ}$, $l1~16^{\circ}$. But, in fact, It is absurd that potential model pattern is applied to the city park in park of corner, widely road and facilities. Therefore, It is thought that the study of this problems will be proceeded in the future. I can reduce the following equation in relation R & S by gradient ; 22 log (R-6.0)=47.96-$\delta$
