To overcome unstability of ascorbic acid, liposome was used to encapsulate it. Ascorbic acid was encapsulated with 46.8% efficiency inside soybean phosphatidyl choline liposomes by the dehydration-rehydration method. Stability of encapsulated ascorbic acid in liposome was enhanced compared to that in free aqueous solution. For example, most of ascorbic acid in acetate buffer (pH 5.0) was oxidized after 7 days, however, that in liposome was remained as reduced form with 22.8% after 40 days at same conditions. These results mean that encapsulation of ascorbic acid in liposome could provide protection tool for improvement in shelf life.

The layered trivanadate, LiV$_3$O$_{8}$ has been investigated as a cathode material for secondary lithium batteries. Early in its development the preparation method of LiV$_3$O$_{8}$ strongly influenced its electrochemical properties, such as discharge capacity, rate capability and cycling efficiency. In the present experiment, a new synthesis route has been applied to obtain LiV$_3$O$_{8}$ . Instead of the conventional high temperature technique leading to the crystalline form, a solution technique producing the amorphous form has been used. This material, after dehydration, shows an electrochemical performance exeeding that of the crystalline one. The rationale for this behavior mainly lies in microscopic factors, i.e., in the possibility for the unit cell of amorphous LiV$_3$O$_{8}$ to insert up to 9 Li$^{+}$, instead of six for crystalline LiV$_3$O$_{8}$ . The ultrasonically treated products in water were characterized by XRD, TGA, DSC, and SEM. These measurements showed that the ultrasonic treatment process of crystalline LiV$_3$O$_{8}$ causes a decrease in crystallinity and considerable increases in specific surface area and interlayer spacing.g.
The main purpose of this study is to develop a commercial scale of pervaporative process equipped with hollow fiber membrane modules, being able to effectually purify organic solvent at high temperature well over its boiling point under high vapor pressure. Three constituent technologies have been developed; 1) to fabricate braid-reinforced hollow fiber membrane stable in high pressure and high temperature application, 2) to design and fabricate a commercial scale of hollow fiber membrane module, and 3) to design and fabricate a pilot scale of pervaporation equipment system. The developed hollow fiber membrane possesses a membrane performance superior to the membrane of Sulzer (Germany) which is the most-well known for pervaporation process, and the membrane module equips hollow fiber membranes of $4.6m^2$ and the pervaporation system can treat organic liquid at 200 L/h, which is based on the dehydration of 95 wt% isopropyl alcohol (IPA). Since the membrane module is designed to flow in and pass through the inside of individual hollow fiber membrane, not to involve both the formation of feed's dead volume observed in flat-sheet membrane module and the channeling of feed occurring inside hollow fiber bundle which lower membrane performance seriously, it showed excellent separation efficiency. In particular, the module is inexpensive and has less heat loss into its surrounding, in compared with flat-sheet membrane module. In addition, permeant can be removed effectively from the outer surface of hollow fiber membrane because the applied vacuum is conveyed uniformly through space between fibers into respective fiber, even into one in the middle of the hollow fiber bundle in which the space between fibers is uniform in distance. Since the hollow fiber membrane pervaporation system is the first one ever developed in the world, our own unique proprietary technology can be secured, preoccupying technical superiority in export competitive challenges.

Li-bearing hectorite, one member of trioctahedral smectite, occurred large in quantity and confirmed in Turkey western sedimentary boron deposit. Li-bearing hectorite attracted a particular attention because it is one of potential lithium resources. There have been no consensus for the change of hectorite due to heat and acid treatment although it is very important to use in industrial application. In this study, we examined changes of hectorite after heat and acid treatment as well as acid treatement followed by heating. We used clay ores collected in Bigadic deposit, which contained the highest $Li_2O$ content in Turkey boron deposits. Hectorite showed a strong endothermic reaction at $84^{\circ}C$ due to dehydration of absorbed water and interlayer water and a weak endothermic reaction above $600^{\circ}C$ owing to dehydration of crystallization water. The first endothermic reaction accompanied a large weight loss about 6%. Hectorite decomposed into enstatite, cristobalite and amorphous Fe material at $762^{\circ}C$ with exothermic reaction. When hectorite reacted with 3 kinds of 0.1 M acid during 1 hours, it had a good dissolution efficiency with $H_2SO_4{\geq}HCl$ > $HNO_3$ in order.
Encapsulation of lysozyme using lecithin vesicles and its stimilated release properties were studied. Lecithin vesicles were prepared by the dehydration-rehydration (DR)method. The highest encapsulation efficiency (EE) value of 80.1% was obtained by sonicating the multilamellar vesicles (MLVs) at 100 KHz for 120 min in bath sonicator. The value of entrapment progressively increased with the concentration of lysozyme, while the EE value decreased with the increase of enzyme concentration up to 50mg per 100mg per 100mg of lecithin, and then became nearly constant. At the pH of 5.9, only a small amount of lysozyme was released from DR vesicles during incubation at $37^{\circ}C$ As the pH decreased to 3.0, lysozyme was released more rapidly. Lysozyme release was accelerated for 24h and reached a plateau after 72h incubation with 1% Tween 80, $Ca^{2+}$ gave a pulse-like-release in the first hour, which was followed by a slow release.
In this study, impact factors for dehydration with KOMIR-Tube system using flocculant and dewatering tube were evaluated for mine drainage sludges. The experiments were conducted on semi-active facility sludges with water contents above 90 % using KOMIR-Tube system. The flocculant and input amount were determined from laboratory experiment and the dewatering efficiency was verified onsite experiment. The sludge characteristics were identified by instrumental analysis such as zeta potential measurement, particle size analysis, XRD, XRF and SEM-EDS. Selection of flocculants for sludge dewatering treatment need to consider not only precipitated rate but also filterated rate. Floc size has to keep at least 0.7 mm. From on-site experiments, sludge dewatering using KOMIR-Tube system suggests to carry out April and May that is low rainfall and humidity considering to climate conditions. Also, dewatering rate depends on the crystal degree of mineral that mainly makes up sludges. Particularly, goethite of the iron hydroxides has better dewatering rate than ferrihydrite. Ferrihydrite is low degree of crystallinity and uncleared or broad shaped crystal, goethite is good crystallinity with needle shaped crystal so that the effect of flocculation and dewatering showed to depend on the crystal. In results, impact factors of dewatering for mine drainage sludges are related to flocculant, climate, crystallinity and shape of iron hydroxides.

In this study, the anaerobic digestion potential and thermo-chemical pre-treatment were evaluated for efficient anaerobic co-digestion of dewatered sludge(DS) and food waste(FW). As a result, the degradable organic matter concentration and methane yield of FW were evaluated to 2.2 and 1.3 times higher than that of DS, respectively. In order to increase the amount of biogas production, it was determined that it is desirable to increase the mixing ratio of FW. The efficiency of thermo-chemical pre-treatment was evaluated for the reaction temperature, NaOH concentration, reaction time and mixture ratio. As a result of evaluation through pre-treatment efficiency and dehydration capacity, the optimum pre-treatment conditions were evaluated as follows: reaction temperature 140℃, NaOH concentration 60 meq/L, reaction time 60 min, mixture ratio 1:5(DS:FW). The gas production rate and methane yield increased 1.6 and 1.5 times, respectively, compared to before and after applying the optimum pre-treatment. Therefore, it is necessary to increase the mixing ratio of food waste for efficient anaerobic co-digestion of DS and FW. and it is necessary to increase the solubilization efficiency of waste by application of pre-treatment.

Recently, it is increase in the processing of organic waste using anaerobic digestion. Therefore, the studies on the processing method for increasing the anaerobic digestion waste water. But it is very difficult to solid-liquid separation, because the characteristics of anaerobic digestion waste water. So this study evaluate solid-liquid separation efficiency of anaerobic digestion sludge using CST(Capillary Suction Time), TTF(Time to Filter). To address this problem, a membrane filter press of the lab scale was produced and the anaerobic digestion wastewater was applied to it. Polymer coagulants were found to be most suitable 7192PLUS and 1T60, It is necessary to minimum injection concentration is 7192PLUS (200 mg/L), 1T60 (100 mg/L). To evaluate dehydration efficiency, it was measured the moisture content of the dehydrated cake and suspended solids of decanted water. As a result, showed that a high removal efficiency of 97.4% when the solid-liquid separation using the membrane filter press. And the moisture content of the dehydrated cake was less than 65%.
This study reports on the efficiency of cleaning enameled magnet wire using a sulfuric acid $H_2SO_4$ and removal of dissolved organic material using hydrogen peroxide $H_2O_2$ and nitric acid $HNO_3$ at $80^{\circ}C$. The method involves the addition of pure $H_2SO_4$ and $H_2O_2$ or $HNO_3$. Layers of enameled organic material were dissolved by 90% $H_2SO_4$ and the solution was maintained as 35% $H_2O_2$ or 60% $HNO_3$. $H_2O_2$ content in aqueous $H_2O_2$ was maintained as 8.8 : 1.0. An initial concentration of $H_2SO_4$ in dissolution conditions was accomplished within 15 min, with a stripping time of about 2 h. The concentrations of $H_2O_2$ and $HNO_3$ in the processing bath were relatively low, but sufficient enough to produce an effective amount of power in the bath for the removal of the enamel material. The cleaning effect of enameled organic material involves the dehydration by $H_2SO_4$ and the oxidation by $H_2O_2$ or $HNO_3$.
We investigated the effect of the phase transition temperature (T$_{c}$) of phospholipid in liposomes on the stability of incorporated retinol. Two kinds of phospholipid which have different T$_{c}$, L- $\alpha$ -dimyristoyl phosphatidyl choline (DMPC, T$_{c}$=22$^{\circ}$C) and D,L- $\alpha$ -dipalmitoyl phosphatidyl choline (DPPC, T$_{c}$=42$^{\circ}$), were used to prepare liposomes. Liposome with retinol was prepared as multilamella vesicles (MLVs) by the dehydration/rehydration method. The incorporation efficiency of retinol into liposomes prepared from DMPC and DPPC were 99.89$\pm$0.08% and 99.97$\pm$0.03, respectively. The average size of liposomes from DPPC were greater than that of DMPC. Two kinds of liposomes in phosphate buffer (10 mM, pH 7.0) were stored at 15, 30, and 5$0^{\circ}C$, and stability of incorporated retinol was analyzed. The stability of retinol in DMPC liposome was decreased, whereas the stability in DPPC liposome was increased as temperature increased, although the overall protection effect of liposome on the incorporated retinol was greater in DMPC liposomes than in DPPC liposomes.posomes.
