데이터 품질관리 관점에서 볼 때, 데이터의 품질은 품질정책, 품질조직, 업무프로세스, 업무규칙 등 여러 요인에 의해 영향을 받는다. 이중에서도 업무규칙은 실제 데이터를 조작하는 행위의 지침이 되는 것으로써 데이터 품질에 직접적인 영향을 미친다. 여러 기관의 데이터베이스를 통합하여 단일의 데이터베이스를 구축하는 경우에는 더 신중하게 업무규칙을 수립할 필요가 있다. 분산된 데이터베이스 내에 있는 데이터를 단일의 데이터베이스로 통합한다는 것은 단순히 데이터의 통합만을 의미하는 것이 아니라 상이한 스키마, 코드 체계, 데이터 표준 등을 사전에 고려해야 함을 의미한다. 이런 요소들을 고려하더라도 데이터 자체는 형식, 단위, 표현 등에 따라서 다양한 모습을 가진다. 결국 데이터베이스의 구조적인 문제와 데이터 자체의 의미적인 문제가 데이터베이스 통합과 통합된 데이터베이스 내 데이터의 품질 제고를 위한 선결 과제라 할 수 있다. 이러한 문제들을 해결하기 위해서는 먼저 통합 시 통합 모델의 설계가 필요하고, 통합된 데이터베이스의 데이터에 대한 정제가 필요하다. 범부처적으로 분산되어 있는 국가R&D정보를 수집하여 서비스하는 국가과학기술종합정보서비스(NTIS)도 여러 기관에 존재하는 데이터베이스를 연계 통합하여 단일의 데이터베이스를 구축하였다. NTIS의 사례를 통해 체계적인 통합 모델 수립과 정제에 의해 통합된 데이터베이스의 데이터는 그렇지 않은 데이터보다 정확도 측면에서 품질이 제고되었음이 입증되었다.

One of the most important issues in post-genome era is identifying functions of genes and understanding the interaction among them. Such interactions from complex biochemical pathways, which are very useful to understand the organism system. We present an integrated biochemical pathway database system with a set of software tools for reconstruction, visualization, and simulation of the pathways from the database. The novel features of the presented system include: (a) automatic integration of the heterogeneous biochemical pathway databases, (b) gene ontology for high quality of database in the integration and query (c) various biochemical simulations on the pathway database, (d) dynamic pathway reconstruction for the gene list or sequence data, (e) graphical tools which enable users to view the reconstructed pathways in a dynamic form, (f) importing/exporting SBML documents, a data exchange standard for systems biology.

This study attempts at building an integrated GIS computing framework for evaluating space-time accessibility of an individual with the approach of time geography model. The proposed method is based on the integration of mobile GIS and object-relational spatio-temporal database. Three components are central to our system: ( i ) mobile GIS application that transmits spatio-temporal trajectory data of an individual; ( ii ) spatio-temporal database server that incorporates the time geography model; and (iii) geovisualization client that provides time geographic queries to the spatio-temporal database. As for the mobile GIS application, spatio-temporal trajectory data collected by GPS-PDA client is automatically transmitted to the database server through mobile data management middleware. The spatio-temporal database server implemented by extending a generic DBMS provides spatio-temporal objects, functions and query languages. The geovisualization client illustrates 3D visual results of the queries about space-time path. space-time prism and space-time accessibility. This study shows a method of integrating mobile GIS and DBMS for time geography application, and presents an appropriate spatio-temporal data model for evaluating space-time accessibility of an individual.

본 연구에서는 각 지역 데이터베이스에 저장되어 있는 컨텐츠들을 통합 관리할 수 있는 컨텐츠 통합 관리 시스템을 개발하였다. 컨텐츠 통합 관리 시스템은 각 지역 데이터베이스에 저장되어 있는 컨텐츠들의 저장 스키마를 표준화된 XML 문서로 변환하여 통합된 전역 데이터베이스를 생성한다. 본 연구에서 개발한 컨텐츠 통합 관리 시스템은 컨텐츠의 지속적인 확보를 위해 서로 다른 환경에서 저장되고 운영되고 있는 컨텐츠를 통합관리 할 수 있는 효과적인 방법을 제시한다.

스키마 통합은 이종 분산(Heterogeneous and Distributed) 지리데이타베이스 시스템 (GDS, Geographic Database Systems)에 있어서 해결해야 할 가장 과제들 중의 하나이다. 다양한 응용분야에 있어서 공간정보(spatial information)의 사용이 점차적으로 증가해 감에 따라 지리정보의 통합은 의사결정자들에게 있어 대단히 중요한 문제가 되었다. 그러나, 데이타베이스 관련 문헌에 기술되고 있는 기존의 스키마통합 기법은 시각적인 데이터, 공간정보, 임시적인 정보들을 내포하고 있는 복잡한 객체들간의 이질성(heterogeneity)의 관리라는 문제를 간과하고 있다. 스키마통합의 어려움은 의미(semantics)상의 혼돈뿐만 아니라 공간모형에 대한 상이한 표현으로부터도 초래된다. 그러므로, 지리데이타베이스 분야에서 데이터베이스간의 상호작용성(interoperability)을 실현하는 것은 생각했던 것보다 훨씬 복잡한 문제를 야기하게 되는 것이다. 본 연구에서는 이러한 문제의 해결을 시도하기 위하여 이종 분산 지리데이타베이스에 있어서 스키마통합을 지원할 수 있는 방법론과 프로토타입 도구를 소개하고자 한다.

This paper reports on the application of the integration of mathematical programming model and database in a decision support system (DSS) for the planning of the multi-reservoir operating system. The DSS is based on a multi-objective, mixed-integer goal programming (MIGP) model, which can generate efficient solutions via the weighted-sums method (WSM). The major concern of this study is seamless, efficient integration between the mathematical model and the database, because there are significant differences in structure and content between the data for a mathematical model and the data for a conventional database application. In order to load the external optimization results on the database, we developed a systematic way of naming variable/constraint so that a rapid identification of variables/constraints is possible. An efficient database structure for planning of the multi-reservoir operating system is presented by taking advantage of the naming convention of the variable/constraint.

본 연구에서는 이형 데이터 구조를 가지는 데이터베이스의 통합 운영 가능성을 검토하고 사례 연구를 통한 실제적인 방안을 설계하기 위해서 한국연구재단 토대기초지원사업의 DB 구축 연구성과물과 한국연구재단의 기초학문자료센터 DB 통합 운영 방안을 제시하였다. 토대기초연구지원사업의 성과확산을 위해서는 기초학문자료센터와의 통합 연계가 필수적으로 필요하며, 그 방안으로서 기존에 구축된 DB구축 과제의 DB는 표준 지침을 활용한 XML 데이터베이스화를 필수적으로 진행하되, 향후 구축될 DB구축 과제의 DB는 기초학문자료센터와 연계 시스템을 구성하거나 독립 시스템을 구성하는 방안을 제언하였다.

최근 Application에 대한 공격을 통하여 네트워크와 데이터베이스에 대한 방어정책인 침입탐지 룰(rule)을 무력화시키고, 침해사고를 유발한다. 이러한 공격으로부터 내부 네트워크와 데이터베이스의 안전성을 확보하기 위한 통합보안에 관한 연구가 필요하다. 본 논문에서는 침입탐지 룰을 설정한 Application에 대한 공격을 차단하기 위한 통합보안 시스템 구축에 관한 연구이다. 네트워크 기반의 공격을 탐지하여 대응하고, 내부 Integration Security System을 Virtual clustering과 Load balancing 기법으로 공격을 분산시키며, Packet 모니터링과 분석을 통하여 공격 목적지 Packet에 대한 방어정책 설정, 공격 Packet 분석, 기록, 룰 업데이트를 한다. 또한 공격 유형별 방어정책을 설정하여 Virtual Machine 분할 정책을 통한 접근 트래픽 해소, 공격차단에 적용하는 Integration Security System을 제안하고 방어를 실험한다. 본 연구 결과는 외부 해커의 공격에 대한 통합보안 방어를 위한 현실적인 자료를 제공하게 될 것이다.

Economy of scale would be one of the most important issues among organizations pursuing system integration projects. Cerntainly there are other benefits than cost reduction for achieving system integration. However. these benefits could not be achieved automatically. if system integration projects were undertaken without thoughtful planning. In this paper. we propose a framework for an effective system integration by (1) defining the objects(user interface. database. application. and server) and (2) considering the level of integration(physical integration and rational integration). Therefore. 6 types of integration can be considered. Five case studies of domestic organizations were reviewed to suggest various issues and solutions. Based on our case studies. we discovered that five integration types - EIP. EAI. ERP. BPM and System Reconsolidation - were most widely used.
