This paper presents the analysis and control of the position of the COG (Center of Gravity) for a two-wheel balancing robot. The two-wheel balancing robot is required to maintain balance by driving two wheels only. Since the robot is not exactly symmetrical and its dynamics is changing with respect to moving parts, robust balancing control is difficult. Balancing performance becomes difficult when two arms hold a heavy object since the center of gravity is shifted out of the wheel axis. Novel design of a sliding waist mechanism allows the robot to react against the shift of the COG by moving the whole upper body to compensate for the imbalance of the mass as a counter balancer. To relocate the COG position accurately, the COG is analyzed by force data measured from two force sensors. Then the sliding COG mechanism is utilized to control the sliding waist position. Experimental studies are conducted to confirm the proposed design and method.

Purpose: This research aims to empirically investigate the motivation of corporate voluntary disclosure by exploring the impact of historical loss on corporate social responsibility disclosure (CSRD). Research design, data, and methodology: This paper takes Chinese A-share listed firms that issued standalone social responsibility reports during the period of 2009-2017 as a sample. Drawing on extant literature, this paper defines historical loss firms as firms with net profit greater than or equal to 0 and undistributed profit less than 0. The tendency score matching method (PSM) is used to find matching samples for historical loss firms. Then OLS regression is conducted to investigate the relationship between historical loss and corporate social disclosure. Results: The results show that historical loss has a significant positive impact on the quality of corporate social responsibility disclosure. After changing the measurement of independent and dependent variables as well as adopting different matching methods to screen the control group, the results still hold. Further research indicates that the relationship between historical loss and CSRD is influenced by corporate financing constraints and industry competition. Conclusions: This research supports the resource motivation hypothesis of corporate social responsibility disclosure, and provides empirical evidence for regulators to strengthen supervision on corporate disclosure.

Online games are the popular topic due to the increased total online game market volume nowadays. And many studies on online games are released. But most studies used the questionnaire method that reveals only section of the situation like a snapshot. For this reason, previous studies have a little limitation that does not show dynamical changing issues like a product life cycle and changes in customer's mind Because of this, we studied on online games with the system dynamic model which can show dynamic simulations to analysis time series data. We chose MMORPG (Massively Multi-play Online) RPG (Role Playing Game) in sort of online games because it has many absorbing factors and enthusiastic users. We designed the simulation model which analyzes the influences of update and CRM strategy on users. We put the game developer who is ready for updated version game and released that periodically and focused on dormant users who used to be enthusiastic about MMORPG. The simulation results showed that the update has positive influences on new users gathering and hold established users. And CRM strategies help to prevent dormant users from transferring to rivals by offering them re-absorbing factors. Through this study, we confirmed the importance of update on online games and the necessity of introducing CRM strategy in the online game market.

An analysis model on debris transport in the containment floor of pressurized water reactors is developed in which the flow field is calculated by Eulerian conservation equations of mass and momentum and the debris particles are traced by Lagrange equations of motion using the pre-determined flow field data. For the flow field calculation, two-dimensional Shallow Water Equations derived from Navier Stokes equations are solved using the Finite Volume Method, and the Harten-Lax-van Leer scheme is used for accuracy to capture the dry-to-wet interface. For the debris tracing, a simplified two-dimensional Lagrangian particle tracking model including drag force is developed. Advanced schemes to find the positions of particles over the containment floor and to determine the position of particles reflected from the solid wall are implemented. The present model is applied to calculate the transport fraction to the Hold-up Volume Tank in Advanced Power Reactors 1400. By the present model, the debris transport fraction is predicted, and the effect of particle density and particle size on transport is investigated.

This paper presents a design method of deadbeat controller for DC motor driving a rotational system with gear. The deadbeat-response design developed for control system of a sampled continuous-data process does not guarantee zero intersampling ripples, but the proposed deadbeat control system that consists of the integral controller and the full-order state observer, and zero-order hold using in continuous systems, has many advantages such as an output response without the ripples and reaching the steady state without error after a given sampling period and faster settling time than the optimal control system in the same sampling period. The results of a case study through matlab simulation are shown that the efficiency of the proposed controller for DC motor driving a rotational system with gear is verified by comparing with optimal controller etc.

Purpose: The purpose of this study was to explore the link between health and welfare service and barrier's factors by reviewing the connection between the public health center's visiting nurse and social welfare center's social workers Method: A survey by mail or a face-to-face interview of 151 visiting nurses in 25 public health centers and 48 social welfare workers in general social welfare centers in Seoul, was preformed from Feb. 12, 2001 to Mar. 15, 2001. The data were analyzed with frequency, percentage, mean value, paired t-test and independent t-test using SPSS/WIN 7.5 program. Result: 1. ‘The necessity and degree of cooperation with social welfare workers of visiting nurse’ scored average 4.49 and 3.19, and ‘The necessity and degree of cooperation with visiting nurse and social welfare workers’ scored average 4.81 and 3.15 on the five-point scale ; there was a significant difference between the two variable in visiting nurse and social welfare workers. 2. In barrier's factors which health and welfare service offer to, visiting nurses showed statistically significant higher score than social welfare staff; ‘job factor’, ‘resource factor’, ‘clients factor’, ‘individual ability factor’ Conclusion: In order to provide link system that hold clients in common in public health center and social welfare center, it is recommended a case management team should be constructed and educate visiting nurses for case manager.

Purpose: The purpose of this study was to identified the male nurses' encounter in adapting themselves in the hospital settings dominated by the female nurses in number. Method: Data were collected through the in-depth interview of 16 male nurses and analysed through the grounded theory methodology. Result: The behaviors of have made tremendous for job-adaptation can be summarized as a series of struggles to consolidate their own ground. They have made tremendous efforts to hold their own ground in the nursing profession composed of a large numbers of female nurses, while they have experienced many difficulties and problems as minorities. They have struggled to adapt themselves professionally through efforts such as; challenging the social and professional barriers, identifying the job identity, empowering themselves through self-development and dedication, expanding their influence among colleagues. In spite of these efforts, they had the perception that nursing is not a lifelong occupation for them. Thus, they had tendency to find outlets of change to occupations. Conclusion: A specific strategy is needed to provide an environment that is helpful for males in integrating into and adapting to the nursing profession.

Purpose: This study undertakes to identify factors influencing the perception university students in Korea hold toward having children. Method: A cross-sectional, descriptive study was conducted on 187 university students (79 males and 108 females) from one university located in a metropolitan area. Participating students completed a packet of self-report questionnaires on values concerning gender roles, marriage, family and children along with their personal demographic details. The resulting data were analyzed using t-tests, one-way ANOVA and Pearson's correlation coefficients as well as descriptive statistics. Stepwise multiple regression was performed to identify factors that most influenced the value of children held among university students. Results: The value of having children was negatively associated with the value of family, but positively associated with the value of marriage. In addition, the value of family had a negative relationship with the value of marriage, but a positive relationship with the value of gender role. Stepwise multiple regression found that the equation consisting of gender and value of marriage explained about 42.0% of the variance of the value of having children. Conclusion: Considering the findings from this study, programs promoting the positive values of marriage are required for university students to have positive values toward having children.

Preflex beam is a method of construction to hold the Pre-compressive stresses over the concrete pier by the Preflexion load. During the fabrication of the girder, welding causes the welding residual stresses. The welding residual stresses must be relieved to generate the accurate compressive pre-stresses that is designed. On this study, to find out the thermal distribution characteristics on the girder by welding, both the three-dimensional finite element analysis and the two-dimensional finite element analysis in a quasi-steady state is carried out. After comparing with each result between the three-dimensional analysis and the two-dimensional analysis, finite element analysis is carried out against the actual girder and analyze welding thermal distribution characteristic over the preflex beam and obtain the input data for the analysis of the welding residual stresses.
