품질개선분야에서의 품질코스트모델의 적용 (Application of Quality Cost Model ln Quality Improvement Area)

  • This parer proposes application of quality costing system in quality improvement area. Cost of quality in quality improvement area provides a valuable of both providing the need for improvement and giving a starting point for project. WQCMS(Web-based Q-Cost Management System) have ability to collect and analyze quality data generated from various different departments in the inside or outside of the enterprise without any limitations, if end-users are able to access wide area network. It provides the capability to integrate quality information from database and to generate various easy analysis reports to management's needs using built-in analysis tool modules with real-time. Web-based quality cost management system to measure the performance of quality improvement activities in the business firms. This paper proposes standard model for quality cost process in quality improvement area.

ASC를 이용한 품질특성의 중요도 결정 (Determining the Importance Values of Quality Attributes Using ASC)

  • Purpose: Determination of the importance values of quality attributes is very important to integrate the Kano model with QFD. A new method to determine the importance values of quality attributes is proposed. Methods: ASC(Average Satisfaction Coefficient) is proposed in order to determine the importance values of quality attributes. To evaluate the effectiveness of ASC, a case study of modern TV sets is conducted, and the performance of ASC is compared with direct importance evaluation and AHP pairwise comparisons. Results: The result of ASC application is similar with those of direct importance evaluation and AHP pairwise comparison. Conclusion: ASC is an effective instrument to determine the importance values of quality attributes. It doesn't need a cumbersome process like AHP pairwise comparison, and can be calculated using the data for the conventional Kano model.

품질경영활동의 효율성을 고려한 평가모형 (Total quality management Activities Evaluation (TAE) Model by the traditional scoring system and the efficiency measuring system)

  • To evaluate the total quality activities is the most fundamental and critical process as one of the PDCA cycle. The quality award criteria such as Malcolm Baldrige National Quality Award and Deming Award can be a, pp.ied to the guideline for evaluating quality activities. We can identify several important factors for TQM by referring quality award criteria, but they don't suggest how efficiently implement TQM. In this paper, two methodologies are a, pp.ied to evaluate the TQM activities comparatively. One of them is the traditional scoring system (TSS) by analytic hierarchy process (AHP). TSS is the system which evaluates the performance of TQM by the weighted sum of critical success factors. Several quality award system are typical examples of TSS. The other is the efficiency measuring system (EMS) by data envelop analysis (DEA). DEA outperformed other alternative methods to measure the efficiency and it can be a, pp.ied to evaluate the TQM activities. The evaluation system by DEA can be named as EMS. The objective of this paper is to suggest a model called TAE (Total quality management Activities Evaluation), for evaluating TQM activities. In this model TQM organizations are classified into four types by considering TSS and EMS. Those types are high weighted sum and high efficiency type, high weighted sum and low efficiency type, low weighted sum and high efficiency type, and low weighted sum and low efficiency type. Therefore TQM organizations must not only make efforts to get the higher scores in terms of TSS, but also take necessary steps to enhance their efficiencies.

전력반도체의 수율향상을 위한 최적 공정조건 결정에 관한 연구 (Process Conditions Optimizing the Yield of Power Semiconductors)

  • Purpose: We used a data analysis method to improve semiconductor manufacturing yield. We defined and optimized important factors and applied our findings to a real-world process. The semiconductor industry is very cost-competitive; our findings are useful. Methods: We collected data on 15 independent variables and one dependent variable (yield); we removed outliers and missing values. Using SPSS Modeler ver. 18.0, we analyzed the data both continuously and discretely and identified common factors. Results: We optimized two independent variables in terms of process conditions; yield improved. We used DS Leak software to model netting and Contact CD software to model meshes. DS Leak shows smaller the better characterisrics and Contact CD shows normal the best characteristics Conclusion: Various efforts have been made to improve semiconductor manufacturing yields, and many studies have created models or analyzed various characteristics. We not only defined important factors but also showed how to control processing to improve semiconductor yield.

  • 정보는 효과적으로 활용되어 이윤 창출에 기여하고, 신속하고 올바른 경영 판단을 지원하며, 재사용이 가능해야 하는 중요한 자원이다. 최근의 정보 시스템들은 사용자들의 다양한 요구를 반영하여 기업의 경쟁력을 높이고, 급변하는 환경 변화에 적응하기 위해 점차 대형화, 복잡화 되고 있으며 정보 품질의 중요성도 점차 강조 되고 있는 추세이다. 사용자들이 원하는 정보 제공에 있어 가장 큰 문제점은 저 품질의 데이터를 기반으로 하는 낮은 품질의 정보 제공에 있다. 낮은 정보 품질에 의해 기업 경영이 이루어질 경우 기업의 전략 수립, 전략 수행, 고객과 경쟁 기업에 대한 경영 집중력 분산 등 기업의 경영에 있어 경쟁력이 떨어 질 수밖에 없다. 낮은 품질의 정보는 부정확한 데이터를 개선하거나 조정하기 위한 시간 및 비용을 증가 시키고, 특정 현황에 대한 정확한 정보를 제공 받기가 어려워진다. 이러한 문제점들을 해결하기 위해서는 데이터에 대한 명확한 이해, 데이터 관리 체계 확립, 그리고 체계적인 데이터 관리 수행 등을 통하여 고품질의 데이터를 획득 할 수 있게 해야 한다. 현재까지 정보 품질과 관련된 연구 및 방법론은 부분적으로 진전이 있으나, 정보 품질 관리 전반에 대한 체계적인 방법론은 존재하지 않는 실정이다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 정보 품질 관리를 위한 프로세스들을 도출하고 정보 품질과 관련된 평가 요소를 도출하여 이를 정보 품질 보증 프로세스 단계인 CMM(Capacity Maturity Mode]) 5단계를 참조하여 제시한다. 본 논문은 정보 품질 개선 관리 프로세스 정립을 통해 기업의 정보 품질 관련 전략을 수립 하고, 경쟁력 있는 기업 또는 조직 활동에 이바지 하며, 품질 좋은 정보 활용에 따른 경쟁력 있는 운영에 이바지 하고자한다.

  • Purpose: In this research, We made the conceptual frameworks for SEM(Structural Equation Modeling) on Global quality's origin and empirical research. Developing conceptual frameworks is an important step in theory building and theory testing. This research model was developed by strong theoretical foundation which is quality and systematical model. Methods: Questionnaire was developed, and data was collected and analyzed for this study. The analysis was conducted using SEM(Structural Equation Modeling). Results: Results show that process quality and interaction quality are important drivers in customer satisfaction. Customer satisfaction is strongly impact on customer loyalty(repeated purchase). Conclusion: In turbulent business era, Global company require not only excellent quality but also create customer oriented culture and control over operation in the foreign country.

3D CAD 모델의 품질 측정을 위한 오류 발생 특징 별 시그마 수준 분석 (Calculating a Sigma Level for Quality Measurement of 3D CAD Models from Their Error Occurrence Characteristics)

  • As more individuals and organizations participate in the complex design process of manufacturing industry, collaborative product development and management of the global supply chain have become more popular. Although the product quality concerns once focused on the manufacturing process, they are now directed at earlier stages of the design cycle where the engineering product is created as a 3D CAD model. In this paper, we describe the current state of product data quality activities in the manufacturing industry and the yardstick to measure 3D CAD data quality. Moreover we introduce a quality assurance method through the result of statistical analysis of 3D CAD models and suggest a six sigma level of CAD data quality by analyzing 76 samples provided from three Korean automotive companies.

  • Data mining is the process of finding and analyzing data from a big database and summarizing it into useful information for a decision-making. A variety of data mining techniques have been being used for wide range of industries. One application of those is especially so for gathering meaningful information from process data in manufacturing factories for quality improvement. The purpose of this paper is to provide a methodology to improve manufacturing quality of fuel tanks which are auto-parts. The methodology is to analyse influential attributes and establish a model for optimal manufacturing condition of fuel tanks to improve the quality using decision tree, association rule, and feature selection.

  • This paper deals with an optimal process control problem in production of hull structural steel plate with high defective rate. The main quality characteristic(dependent variable) is the internal quality(defect) of plates and is dependent on process parameters(independent variables). The dependent variable(quality characteristics) has three categorical ordinal data and there are 35 independent variables(29 continuous variables and 6 categorical variables). In this paper, we determine the main factors and to develop the mathematical model between internal quality predicted probabilities and the main factors. Secondly, we find out the optimal process condition of main factors through analysis of variance(ANOVA) using simulation. We consider three models to obtain the main factors and the optimal process condition: linear, quadratic, error models.

시스템적인 접근에 의한 품질경영모형수립과 공공부문의 적용에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Development of Quality Management System Model and its Application in the Public Service Sector)

  • A strategic model on quality management system was developed and applied for the public service sector. The public service sector includes a wide range of organizations such as local authorities responsible for education, social services and housing, government departments, military forces, and public enterprises like post office and Korean Railroad. Quality management requires strategic integration of management system for achieving customer satisfaction. Questionnaire was developed, and data was collected and analyzed for this study. Conclusively, leadership and organization culture are the important drivers among the quality management activities. Human resource development and process management are significantly related to employee satisfaction, which also significantly influences on customer satisfaction in the public sector.
