Purpose: This study was performed to identify the extent of flood damage, the quality of life(QOL) and their relationships to flood victims. Method: The subjects of this study were 248(men 100, women 148) who live around seven areas in K province impacted by Typhoon Rusa. Data was collected between February 25 and March 21, 2003 by structured questionnaires. The instruments were composed of two parts. The extent of flood damage were the impacts of daily living by revised from Ginexi et aI.(2000). QOL was used to WHOQOL BREF Korean Version by Min et al.(2002). The SPSS program was used for its descriptive, reliability, and correlation analysis. Result: The means of the extent of flood damage were: daily living 1.88, economy 4.60, and health 3.75. The mean of total QOL was 2.95: social domain 3.29, overall satisfaction 3.09, physical domain 3.06, psychological domain 2.95, and environmental domain 2.68. The negative correlations were between the Impact of daily living and Total QOL(r=-.143, p<.05), Physical QOL(r=-.220, p<.01) and Overall satisfaction (r=-141, p<.05). Conclusion: This study has learned that the impact of the flood had negative effects on the flood victims quality of life, and the difficulties they faced in their daily lives. Further research will be needed to explore influencing factors on QOL in disaster victims.

The purpose of this study is to investigate the characteristics of ethical consumption in the Community Currency Movement participant's daily life as a consumer. Qualitative research methods are used for the understanding about the participation activities and the daily lives as a consumer of Hanbat LETS participants'. The characteristics of ethical consumption used for analysing of the Community Currency Movement are the subjective participation, production process-aware consumption, others care to consumption, sustainable consumption, voluntarily simple life. The major results of this study show that the Community Currency Movement is the alternative economic system practicing the ethical consumption. The Community Currency Movement increase the subject participation, realize the social responsibility and community society and the ecological value and voluntary simple life. This research get the meaning for considering the Community Currency Movement & the ethical consumption on the discriminatory perspective.

Background: Advances in surgical techniques, implant technology, radiotherapy, and chemotherapy have increased the recovery chances of patients with bone sarcomas. Accordingly, patients' expectations on life quality have also increased, highlighting the importance of objective evaluation of the functional results of reconstruction. Methods: Thirteen patients with distal femoral endoprosthesis, who had been followed for an average of 2.9 years were evaluated. Postural stability, daily energy expenditure, muscle power, and range of motion were the four parameters analyzed in this study. The Musculoskeletal Tumor Society (MSTS) score and Toronto Extremity Salvage Score (TESS) were used to assess postoperative function and examine correlations with other parameters. Results: Patients had sedentary activities in 84% of their daily lives. They exhibited a slower speed in the walk across test and a higher sway velocity in the sit-to-stand test (p = 0.005). MSTS scores were significantly correlated with the daily energy expenditure and walking speed. Conclusions: Objective functional results acquired from various clinics will provide significant data to compare reconstruction techniques, rehabilitation protocols, and surgical techniques. In this way, it will be possible to satisfy the expectations of patients that increase in relation to enhanced recovery.

본 연구의 목적은 장애인의 대인관계가 일상생활만족도에 미치는 영향관계에서 자기효능감의 매개효과를 검증하는 것이었다. 연구대상은 장애인고용패널 5차 자료(2019)의 등록장애인 3,907명이며, 자료분석은 SPSS 25.0 프로그램을 이용하였다. 주요 연구결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 대인관계가 일상생활만족도에 미치는 영향은 정적(+)으로 유의한 것을 확인하였다. 둘째, 대인관계가 자기효능감에 미치는 영향은 정적(+) 유의수준으로 나타났다. 셋째, 자기효능감이 일상생활만족도에 미치는 영향은 통계적으로 정적(+) 유의수준을 파악하였다. 넷째, 대인관계가 일상생활만족도에 미치는 영향관계에서 자기효능감의 정적(+) 부분매개효과를 검증하였다. 장애인의 일상생활만족도 향상을 위해서는 대인관계와 자기효능감을 증진시켜야 하는 것을 규명하였다. 이를 통해 장애인의 일상생활만족도를 높이기 위한 실천적 함의를 제시하였다.

본 연구의 목적은 경험표집법을 이용하여 도시노인들의 일상생활 경험을 활동의 공간과 대인맥락을 중심으로 재구성하고, 이러한 일상의 맥락들이 노인들의 순간 정서경험과 어떠한 관련성을 맺고 있는지 탐색하는 것이다. 특히 노인의 일상생활의 구성과 그 과정에서 느끼는 정서적 경험은 노인이 처한 사회구조적 맥락에 의해 영향을 받는다는 점에 주목하여, 개인의 삶을 구성하는 중요한 맥락 중 하나인 젠더에 초점을 맞추어 수행되었다. 이를 위해 남성 76명, 여성 72명의 도시노인을 대상으로, 일상생활의 외적, 내적 경험을 동시에 파악할 수 있는 경험표집법을 사용하여 참여자들이 평소에 어디서, 누구와 함께 시간을 보내며, 매 순간마다 어떠한 긍정적, 부정적 정서를 경험하는지에 대한 정보를 수집하였다. 또한, 각 개인이 반복적으로 작성한 응답수를 분석의 단위로 하여 기술통계, 카이제곱검증, t 검증, 그리고 분산분석 및 Scheffe 사후검증을 실시하였다. 주요 분석결과는 다음과 같다. (1) 노인의 일상생활의 활동 공간 중 가장 높은 비중을 차지하는 공간은 집이고, 일상의 시간을 가장 많이 공유하는 사람은 배우자였다. (2) 전반적으로 여성이 남성보다 부정적 정서경험 수준이 높았다. (3) 활동의 공간 및 대인맥락과 정서경험 수준 간 관련성이 젠더에 따라 상이하였다. 이러한 주요 결과에 기초하여 노인의 일상생활에서의 정서경험의 의미와 이와 관련되는 일상의 맥락에서의 젠더차이를 논의하였다.

Purpose: This study investigated the effects of peripheral neuropathy symptoms, self-care ability, and disturbances to daily life on quality of life (QoL) among gynecological cancer patients undergoing chemotherapy. Methods: The participants included 144 patients with gynecological cancer undergoing anticancer chemotherapy at a tertiary hospital in Seoul, South Korea, from December 1, 2021 to January 28, 2022. Convenience sampling was used to recruit patients who had received 4 or more cycles of chemotherapy using a paclitaxel-platinum regimen, and a self-reported questionnaire was used to collect data. Descriptive statistics, the t-test, analysis of variance, Scheffé test, Pearson correlation coefficients, and multiple regression analysis were performed. Results: Most of the participants had ovarian cancer (70.1%) or endometrial cancer (14.6%), and the most common number of treatment cycles was 6 to 10 (29.2%). The mean QoL (60.83±19.89) was greater than the midpoint. The regression model analyzing the patients' QoL was statistically significant (F=15.38, p<.001) with an explanatory power of 56.7%. Self-care ability (β=.39, p<.001), disturbances to daily life (β=-.38, p<.001), the duration of peripheral neuropathy symptoms (β=2.14, p=.034), and regular exercise (β=-2.12, p=.036) were found to significantly affect QoL. Conclusion: Efforts to improve the self-care ability of gynecological cancer patients who have experienced peripheral neuropathy after receiving chemotherapy and mitigate disturbances to their daily life can improve their QoL. Healthcare professionals should identify peripheral neuropathy symptoms and examine the effects of the symptoms on patients' daily lives. Improving the self-care ability of patients and alleviating their limitations in daily life may improve QoL.

Lately our environments have been destroyed by such new things as synthetic detergent. How to use detergent at home can be a decisive factor for decreasing water pollution because living sewage by using detergent at home is the main cause of water pollution. We consumers, therefore, should understand the relation between the chemical ingredients of detergent and water pollution and should choose detergent always taking the kinds of detergent, its washing pewer into consideration. We should also contribute to the protection of out environment by keeping the standard of using amount attached to the products.

Noise emitted by driving cars affects our daily life, penetrating wherever man lives or works. There are three types of possible sound emitting processes that are aerodynamic sources, air pumping and tire vibration. In this paper, a theoretical model has been studied to describe the sound radiation by the surface vibration of running tires and experimental verification has been conducted to evaluate sound radiation characteristic due to tire vibration.

Nowadays, electricity has become indispensable in our daily lives. Despite a lot of benefits of electricty, however, the electricty related injuries and damage have steadily increased. Arc is one of the main causes of electric fire of system. therefore, in this paper, a study of general properties in low voltage system that nonlinear system and linear system. also, we discussed arc properties for the system design normally operated without any hazard.
