A precise open-loop positioning system using linear pulse motor has been developed. The system is operated in a microstepping mode by controlling the electric current. One step of 508 .mu.m (tooth pitch of the linear pulse motor) is divided into 508 micro-steps equally. The displacement is measured with a system using a Fiezeau-type interferometer. Periodical positioning error with a period of the tooth pitch was observed in this system. Therefore, the position is corrected using the error. The error is stored into computer in advance, and the microstep current is corrected on basis of the stored data. Although the positioning error of the system without the correction was .+-.4.5 .mu.m, that with the correction was decreased to .+-.1.0 .mu.m.

This paper presents a novel current control system to eliminate the steady state control error and to improve the transient characteristics for PWM AC-DC converter. A general mathematical model of the converter that is represented as a state-space model is first established. The state-space model is used for the simulation of PWM switching converter with the proposed current control system. The proposed sinusoidal tracking control system that does not require coordinate transformations using principle of the integral controller is described. It is proved that the steady state deviation reduces to zero through a transfer function of source current control system. Finally, it is seen that simulations agree with the experimental results in source current and reference of controlled ac current loop.
This study proposes the control strategy for the seamless mode transfer of indirect current controlled parallel grid-connected inverters. Under the abnormal grid condition, the grid-connected inverter can convert the operation mode from grid-connected to stand-alone mode to supply power to the local load. For a seamless mode transfer, the time delay problems caused by the accumulated control variable error must be solved, and the indirect current control method has been applied as one of the solutions. In this study, the design of control parameters for the proportional-resonant-based triple-loop indirect current controller and the control strategy for the seamless mode transfer of parallel grid-connected inverters are described and analyzed. The validity of the proposed mode transfer method is verified by the PSiM simulation results.
A sensorless control algorithm of brushless DC (BLDC) motors with a model current based on 120 degree conduction mode is proposed in this paper. The rotor speed and position can be estimated using the current model of BLDC motor, which is a modified version of the conventional current model of permanent magnet synchronous motor. The rotor speed and position can be obtained using the difference of the actual current and the model current. The position error caused by the parameter errors of the model current is compensated using a PI controller and the feedback loop of the real current. The validity of the proposed sensorless control algorithm is verified through simulation.
This paper proposes a simple MPPT control scheme of a Current-Control-Loop Error system Based that can be obtains a lot of advantage to compare with another digital control method, P&O and IncCond algorithm, that is applied mostly a PV system. An existent method is needed an expensive processor such as DSP that calculated to change the measure power of a using current and voltage sensor at the once. Therefore, it is applied a small home power generation system that required many expenses. But, a proposed method is easy to solve the cost reduction and power unbalance problems that it is used by control scheme to limit error of a current control of common sensor. This proposed algorithm had verified through a simulation and an experiment on battery charger using PIC that is the microprocessor of a low price.
To track the sinusoidal current under stationary frame and suppress the effects of low-order grid harmonics, the multi-resonant quasi-proportional plus resonant (PR) controller has been extensively used for digitally controlled LCL-type pulse-width modulation (PWM) converters with capacitor-current-feedback active damping. However, designing the controller is difficult because of its high order and large number of parameters. Moreover, the computation and PWM delays of the digitally controlled system significantly affect damping performance. In this study, the delay effect is analyzed by using the Nyquist diagrams and the system stability constraint condition can be obtained based on the Nyquist stability criterion. Moreover, impact analysis of the control parameters on the current loop performance, that is, steady-state error and stability margin, identifies that different control parameters play different decisive roles in current loop performance. Based on the analysis, a simplified controller design method based on the system specifications is proposed. Following the method, two design examples are given, and the experimental results verify the practicability and feasibility of the proposed design method.

In induction machine drive without a speed sensor, the estimation of the motor flux and speed often becomes deteriorated at low speeds with low back EMF. Our analysis shows that, in addition to the state resistance variation, the estimated value of field orientation angle is often corrupted by accumulative errors from the integration of voltage variables at motor terminals that have low signal/noise ratio at low frequencies. A repetitive loop path of integration in the feedback can amplify this type of error, thus speeding up the degradation process. The control system runs into information starvation due to the loss of correct field orientation. The machine's spiral vectors are controlled only in a reduced dimension in this situation. A novel control scheme is developed to improve the control performance of motor's current, torque and speed at low frequencies. The scheme gains a full-dimensional vector control and is less sensitive to the combined effect of the error sources at the low frequencies. Experimental tests demonstrate promising performances are achievable even below 0.5 Hz.

This paper presents a new rotor position estimation method for brushless DC motors. The estimation error of the rotor position clearly provokes the phase shift angle misaligned between the phase current and the back-EMF waveforms, which causes torque ripple in brushless DC motor drives. Such an estimation error can be reduced with the help of the proposed neutral-voltage-based estimation method, which is structured as a closed loop observer. A neutral voltage appearing during the normal mode of the inverter operation is found to be an observable and control table measure, which can be used for estimating an exact rotor position. This neutral voltage is obtained from the DC-link current, the switching logic, and the motor speed values. The proposed algorithm, which can be easily implemented by using a single DC-link current and the motor terminal voltage sensors, is verified by simulation and experiment results.
The use of voltage source converter multi-terminal direct current (VSC-MTDC) systems is anticipated to increase from the introduction of wind farms and super grids in the near future. Effective control of the DC voltage in VSC-MTDC systems is an important research topic. This paper proposes a new dynamic reference-based voltage droop control to control the DC voltage in VSC-MTDC systems more effectively. The main merit of the dynamic reference-based voltage droop control is that it can reduce the steady-state error in conventional voltage droop control by changing references according to the system operating conditions. The performance of the proposed control was tested in a hardware-in-the-loop simulation (HILS) system based on the OPAL-RT real-time digital simulator and four digital signal processing boards.
