Stroke, also called an attack on the brain, is a complex disease that results from the interaction of many genetic and environmental factors. StrokePortal is a comprehensive resource for information on stroke that integrates and provides essential findings regarding stroke pathology, diagnostics, and treatments, based on Oriental and Western medicine. The stroke information was collected from various sources, such as journal articles, books, websites, and news stories, and it was refined, classified, and stored into a relational database system by automatic classification and manual curation. To provide the stored information effectively to users, a specialized retrieval system, based on web interfaces, was implemented. StrokePortal provides cutting-edge information to experts; interested people, including patients and their families; and investigators to broaden their knowledge of effective treatments for patients and offer many preventive measures. It provides a specialized feature with which users can upload their information and opinions to StrokePortal, which will enrich and mature the content even further. StrokePortal is freely accessible at http://genomics.kribb.re.kr/StrokePortal/.

Many readers tend to read books of a specific author and to expand their reading areas according to the author. This study chose Edgar Allan Poe and analyzed the image of the author using co-recommended authors and books by other readers. The frequencies of co-occurred authors and books were investigated and the relations of authors and books were analyzed with network analysis methods. As a result, genre images of Poe, related authors, and related books are discovered. This study also suggested the methods to identify the image of a author, related author groups, and related books for libraries' reading programs and book curation.

In this paper, we propose a direction for improving 'Geospatial information open platform' service to support the converged and integrated geospatial information. Since there can be a number of issues relating to the support for geospatial information convergence industry, two qualitative surveys were performed to collect opinions comprehensively and specifically. The responses from 165 experts from 5 areas that use geospatial information were used, and the requirements of demanders were divided into the aspect of policy, aspect of data development and distribution, and aspect of data utilization support in order to effectively analyze the survey results. As a result, a total of 26 major issues were derived and it was deemed that it is necessary to find a way to expand the role of 'Geospatial information open platform' from "Open-API Oriented Passive Spatial Information Open Platform" to "Platform that Comprehensively Provides Active Convergence Support Information" order to resolve the issues derived.

감성은 콘텐츠 구매과정에서 결정적인 요소로 작용하며, 영화 콘텐츠의 탐색/소비 과정에서도 콘텐츠 소비의 새로운 기준이다. 그러므로 본 연구에서는 콘텐츠의 내용과 감성을 반영하기 위한 감성분류체계를 제안하였다. 제안한 감성분류체계를 기반으로 사용자의 취향과 감성에 기반하여 콘텐츠를 분류/추천하여 개인화된 편성을 제공하는 것을 "감성 큐레이션"이라 정의하고, 이를 위한 감성기반 큐레이션 방법론을 기술하고 실험을 통해 추천 효과를 입증하였다. 큐레이션은 기존의 개인화 추천과 달리 고객 취향뿐만이 아닌, 신선함, 다양성을 제공할 수 있어야 하며, 상용 큐레이션 서비스에서는 실제 시청으로 연결되는 비율이 중요하다. 본 연구에서는 큐레이션 성능 평가를 위해 성향인지도, 신선도, 다양성에 기반한 만족도 설문조사 방법과 함께, 콘텐츠의 전체 시청률 대비 큐레이션을 통해 추천되어 증가된 시청률의 확대 비율인 Lift score 라는 새로운 평가 방법을 제안하여 그 효용성을 증명하였다.

최근 스마트폰의 보급과 더불어 근거리 무선 통신의 발달로 인해 다양한 서비스들이 연구 개발되고 있다. 한국에 방문하는 외래 관광객 수는 꾸준히 증가하고 있는 추세이며, 이 중 중국인 관광객은 2013년 기준 전체 방한 외국인 관광객 중 약 35.5%를 차지하였다. 중국인 관광객의 82.8%가 쇼핑을 목적에 두고 있으며, 그 중 향수, 화장품, 의류 항목에 가장 많은 여행시간을 투자하고 있다. 또한 방한 중국인 관광객 중 대다수가 인터넷을 사용하여 관광 정보를 입수 하고 있지만, 이러한 정보를 편리하게 제공할 서비스는 부족한 상황이다. 본 논문에서는 현재 발달되고 있는 근거리 무선 통신 중 NFC와 Beacon을 활용하여 안드로이드 기반의 관광 큐레이션 플랫폼을 구현 하였다. NFC 태그를 활용하여 쇼핑, 관광 관련 정보 및 정확한 제품 및 서비스 정보를 제공하고, Beacon을 이용하여 매장정보 및 각종 마케팅 프로모션과 이벤트 정보를 수신하도록 하였다. 추가적으로 현재 많이 사용되고 있는 Zxing 라이브러리를 활용한 QRCode 및 Barcode 리더기를 활용하여 스캔을 통한 제품 정보를 확인 가능하도록 구현하였다.

The purpose of this study is to derive the detailed elements of each RDM function that can be applied to the development of research data management system in Geoscience field in Korea. Eight institutions related to RDM services were analyzed to achieve the research purpose. As a result of the analysis, 80 detailed elements of Geoscience RDM function were derived, and a survey was conducted to domestic experts to verify the derived details. As a result, 80 RDM functional details for Geoscience are presented in order of importance. The elements presented can be presented as functional details in the establishment and operation of RDM services in the field of Geoscience in research institutes or university libraries in Korea.

Human papillomavirus (HPV) infection is the leading cause of cancer mortality among women worldwide. The molecular understanding of HPV proteins has significant connotation for understanding their intrusion in the host and designing novel protein vaccines and anti-viral agents, etc. Genomic, proteomic, structural, and disease-related information on HPV is available on the web; yet, with trivial annotations and more so, it is not well customized for data analysis, host-pathogen interaction, strain-disease association, drug designing, and sequence analysis, etc. We attempted to design an online reserve with comprehensive information on HPV for the end users desiring the same. The Human Papillomavirus Proteome Database (hpvPDB) domiciles proteomic and genomic information on 150 HPV strains sequenced to date. Simultaneous easy expandability and retrieval of the strain-specific data, with a provision for sequence analysis and exploration potential of predicted structures, and easy access for curation and annotation through a range of search options at one platform are a few of its important features. Affluent information in this reserve could be of help for researchers involved in structural virology, cancer research, drug discovery, and vaccine design.

오늘날 인터넷의 발달과 전자 책(e-Book) 시장규모가 커짐에 따라 온라인을 통한 도서 정보 제공이 증가하고 있다. 하지만 현재 도서 정보나 도서 추천을 제공하는 온라인 사이트들은 기본 서지 정보만을 위주로 제공하고 있어 도서 본문을 활용한 정보 제공 및 추천 시스템의 필요성이 증가하고 있다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 도서 본문을 활용한 정보 제공 및 개인 맞춤형 추천을 위해 '도서 정보 본문텍스트 통합 마이닝 기반 사용자 참여형 시각화 및 추천 큐레이션 플랫폼'을 제안하고, 이를 구축하였다. 제안한 서비스 플랫폼은 독자에게 다양한 방법으로 도서 정보를 제공하며, 독자는 적은 시간으로 많은 정보를 얻을 수 있도록 하여 사용자의 도서 선택의 폭을 넓혀줄 것이다.

Until now, records re-enacting social memories have not been main targets for preservation and management in Korea. However, people have recently begun to focus on forming and maintaining their memories because these personalized records have started to be recognized as social and political issues. In this respect, this study aims to find out how to preserve social memories by comparing various global open archives. For achieving our research goal, we first established the definition of social memories and records and revealed their characteristics. After then, we selected representative open archives' websites to examine their collection polices and compare them according to several criteria. As a result, we distilled insights based on similarities and differences of each archive and discussed considerations in preserving social memories consisting of three phases: analyzing target social memories, establishing collection policies, and collecting actual records. This study has significance in that it examines the characteristics of social memories and records and also suggests preliminary findings for advanced research to develop practical tools for social records management and archives.

Camera performance of smartphone recently has been developed as much as the digital camera. Interest in applications As a result, many people take pictures and the number of people who are interested in application according to photos has been steadily increasing. However, there are only synthesis programs which are arraying some photos, overlapping multiple images. The model proposed in this paper, base on the emotion that is extracted from the facial expressions by combining the background and applying effects filters. And it can be also utilized in various fields more than any other synthesis programs.
