Dress and appearance are said to be related to power which results in in.f1uencing others. Fashion and appearance style of the first African American First Lady, Michelle Obama during the presidential campaign and the inaugural period were examined. It was analyzed how Mrs. Obama has used her appearance styling to give influence on the American people. Content analysis was applied to understand the meaning of her style. Cultural meaning of her appearance styling during presidential campaign was explained in terms of class ambivalence, racial tension, and gender ambivalence. Strategic negotiation among different classes, gender, and racial groups was shown in her styling and proven to be powerful.

The exhibition would have benefited from a more sustained examination of the contemporary meanings and historic meanings behind fashion ideas and architecture as a communication vehicles, which reflect public preferences as an art or design. Both are based on structure, shape, and th ornament basic necessities. Skin+Bones pools contemporary exemplars and cultural capital - providing resources, creating the opportunity for new hybrids, and advancements for fashionistas who are much more interested in fashion. The overall aim of this research is to understand both fashion and architecture by analyzing exhibition and interpreting the meaning of objects that have been shown and studying the problems and obstacles to be overcome in presenting a significant meaning of fashion and architecture.

본 연구는 한국과 영국 교복 광고들 속에서 광고의 의미가 어떻게 구성되고 다양한 재현들이 무엇을 의미하는가를 고찰하고, 광고를 둘러싸고 전개된 담론들, 특히 성 담론에 주목하면서 양국의 문화적 함의의 차이를 밝히고자 하였다. 이를 위해 한국의 <스쿨룩스>와 영국의 <아메리칸 어패럴>의 교복 광고들을 분석 대상으로 선정했고 다양한 기호학적 분석 방법들을 활용했다. 기호의 2차 의미 생성 과정 분석, 즉 기표와 기의, 함축 의미와 이데올로기의 단계적 의미들을 도출하고자 하였다. 또한 비판적 담론 분석을 시도하여 광고 텍스트의 의미와 담론적 의미 및 이데올로기적 실천 의미를 파악하였다. 분석 결과, 이들 두 나라의 학생 교복 광고들에는 여성 상품화, 남녀의 권력 불균형, 아동 성애자적 접근 등의 부정적 양태와 교복의 본연의 의미와 가치가 왜곡된 경향이 드러났다. 나아가 교복 광고를 둘러싼 양국의 담론들에 대한 비판적 담론 분석을 토대로 양 국가에서 잠재되어 있는 왜곡된 성적 대상화와 상업화를 통한 비정상적인 미적 가치 변형 양상과 '롤리타 판타지'가 만연되어 있음이 나타났다. 나아가 변태적 성적 취향으로 인해 학생들에게 성적 정체성의 혼란과 가치관의 혼돈을 야기하고 있는 것을 발견하였다.

This study examines cultural differneces in psychosocial maturity experiences between collectivistic and individualistic cultures. Personal, relational, and social dimensions were assessed to explore psychosocial maturity experience of elderly Korean residents in Korea and Canada who were psychosocially well developed through in-depth interviews and a content analysis. According to the results, there were diverse similarities and differences in the psychosocial maturity of elderly Korean residents between the two cultures. First, psychosocially mature elderly residents in both cultures showed positive self-concept and self-satisfaction. However, there were differences in their meaning. Second, in terms of interpersonal relations, the most important and satisfying relationship was the spousal relationship for both cultures, and relationships with children were satisfying. However, there were differences in the meaning of relationships between the two cultures as well as gender differences. Third, psychosocially mature elderly residents in both cultures reported psychosocial factors such as mature aging as a social dimension. Elderly residents in Korea regarded mature aging as a relationship oriented phenomenon, whereas those in Canada reported social attitudes toward mature aging. In addition, elderly residents in both cultures reported greed and harm to others as immature aging. Elderly residents in Korea regarded relational discord as immature aging, whereas those in Canada regarded it as demanding adult treatment from future generation. In terms of transcendence, adjustment was reported as living by going with the flow. Elderly residents in Korea reported adjustment based on fatalism, whereas those in Canada showed some religious meaning. Finally, psychosocially mature elderly residents showed a positive view, acceptance and life integration. These results are discussed from the perspective of cultural differences.

현대에 들어와 문화에 대한 관심이 높아지고 있지만, 문화와 인간성의관계에 대한 논의는 제대로 이루어지지 않고 있다. 문화는 인간성의 형성과 밀접한 관련이 있다는 것이 서구의 전통적인 생각이었으나, 현대의 문화상대주의적인 경향으로 인해 현대의 철학은 개개 문화가 지니는 인간성 형성 및 도덕적의미에 대해 크게 관심을 쏟지 않는다. 반면, 후설은 문화의 보편성을 주장하면서 문화보편주의적 관점에서 이른바 이상적인 도덕적 문화공동체를 추구한다. 이의 역사적, 철학적 근거가 되는 것이 고대 그리스에서 등장한 철학적 문화이다. 이 철학적 문화는 참된 인간성의 이념을 추구하면서 온 인류를 포괄하는 보편적인 도덕공동체의 정립을 지향하며 나름의 역사적인 타당성을 지닌다. 고대그리스의 철학적 문화는 인류가 나아가야 할 건전한 문화공동체의 이념을 보여주면서 문화가 도덕적 인간성의 실현에 어떤 영향을 끼치는 지 잘 보여준다는것이 후설의 생각이다. 그러나 이러한 후설의 철학적 문화에 기반한, 낙관적인도덕적 문화공동체의 이념은 하나의 이상일 뿐 현실성이 없다는 반론에 부딪힌다. 대표적으로 니버는 아무리 개인이 도덕적이라고 하더라도 공동체는 결코 도덕적일 수 없다는 주장을 편다. 니버의 주장은 일면 타당성이 있지만, 문화가지니는 도덕적, 연대적인 성격을 간과하고 있다는 점에서 한계를 보인다. 후설의 철학적 문화공동체의 이상은 따라서 이것이 문화공동체의 성격을 지니는 한여전히 현대에서도 현실적 타당성을 지닌다.

전근대사회의 풍수는 마을주민들에게 있어서 오늘날의 문화생태적 환경과 같은 의미로 쓰였다. 마을사람들은 마을의 국지환경에 대해 풍수형국이라는 상징체계로 관계를 맺고 대응하였다. 마을 풍수를 통한 문화생태적 기능은 마을의 공간적 입지 규정, 인구 유입, 마을공동체의 생산 건축 활동 및 토지이용규제, 마을의 환경수용능력 규준, 환경관리, 주민공동체의 집단적 환경 의식 및 태도 형성 등으로 나타났다. 마을 풍수는 자연환경에 대한 주민들의 문화적 적응전략으로서, 마을의 지속가능한 환경시스템을 유지하기 위한 동아시아의 전통적인 문화생태적 방식이자 지식체계라고 평가할 수 있다.

Objectives : The study aims at assessing information on cultural festivals of Korean medicine. Method : We investigated data about the National Festival collected from asking the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, Efestival of YonhapNews, Driving Korea of KBS and JOINS. Result : Since the 1990s, cultural festivals of Korean medicine are increased. The festival of the ginseng was the most. 5 cultural festivals held on The Chungcheongnam-do are the best in cultural festivals of Korean medicine. 65% of cultural festivals was held in the fall. In the budget of the cultural festivals in Korean medicine, the most were 1~5 hundred million won. Conclusions : We wish to propose a model for developing cultural semiology and visual literacy, with the Korean medicine. Subsequently, it is expected that such a model can underpin the importance of developing coherent edutainment content while illustrating the true meaning/value of local festivals.

This thesis is to newly understand the value and the meaning of Chonju Palkyong(全州八景) by the specific gravity in making a counter-proposal in other to improve the landscape identity of modern city and at the same time. I intended to group the grafting device for the preservation and regeneration of modern history cultural environment through the interpretation of landscape construction. The meaning system of Chonju Palkyong showed the symbolic system which a landscape construction, four directions and two places has and exhibited the landscape shape possessing a luxuriant local feature peculiar to Chonju, preserving visual bound language of a classical Palkyong. Especially, it implies the use of the substantial landscape experienced factor, the expressions about natural phenomena and the matter which has melted human living circumstances. The landscape construction and it's form show the system which forms the different time field, a far landscape and a mid distance landscape and a near landscape, etc., under the visual, psychological, scenic influenced area, preserving the feature of the similar and typical type of Sosang Palkyoung（瀟湘八景) which intended to seek the local reappearance of the famous site experienced type and natural matter which famous place and local conduct were combined. The object space of Chonju Palkyong area representing the nature of historical landscape cultural assets, pushed by the greater part of the development based theory, shows injured aspects, but needs to play a part to seek such a up-to-date successive plan as the reconstruction of the destroyed historical landscape area which motivated Palkyong, the establishment of useful area, the embodiment of the cultural identity of Palkyong area and the becoming of the educational cultural life space. The analysis of the landscape construction of Chonju Palkyong and the grouping of the modern successive plan which I considered in this thesis, will be able to become a fundamental data to carry out the preservation of historical landscape and the landscape plan in the city.

This research has set up the fire fighting general index for Fire fighting of Crowded Wooden Building Cultural Asset which is composed of traditional wooden building instinct or complex. The results of this study are as follows. First, Fire fighting general index for crowded wooden building cultural asset, it is necessary to set fire fighting priority by considering fire risk and cultural asset characteristic and establish the system to cope with fire disaster in the most effective way by arranging facilities with restricted resource. Second, Fire risk is the index to draw fire and spread risk of cultural asset by applying index calculation processes such as fire load, burning velocity and ignition material spread characteristic to various aspects such as individual building and complex and combining their results. Cultural asset importance index consists of individual building evaluation, publicity security degree, area importance evaluation and historical landscape degree evaluation. Third, for each index combination process, weight of each index is drawn on the basis of AHP analysis result that is performed to the specialists of related fields. The formula to apply and combine it is prepared to apply the model to include meaning of each index and comparative importance degree.

This paper examines the change and its meaning of marketing strategy in business administration, which is changing along with the development of digital technology. Unlike conventional marketing, digital marketing is creating new relationships and making changes through a two-way approach rather than a one-way approach between producers and consumers. And these changes are creating new approaches not only in the problems between businesses and consumers, but also in the relationship between public institutions and citizens. In particular, the potential of platforms, which are emerging as important in digital management, is applied to public policies, and efforts are being made to establish marketing strategies for public institutions. One case of this was applied to the cultural contents industry and policy to examine specific measures and visions. The cultural big data platform is in line with digital management and continuously utilizes digital marketing strategies in the public domain, and aims to promote creative work as well as publicize it to citizens and workers in the cultural content industry. The synergy effect that will emerge from the combination of the cultural big data platform and digital management is expected to continue.
