This case study aimed to explore proficient EFL readers' perceptions and experiences about reading tasks and how those perceptions and experiences influence their reading processing behaviors, and to examine how the cultural background of a text affects their reading strategies and comprehension. Three college students who were non-English majors participated in this study. Three data sources were employed: questionnaires, interviews, and think-alouds. The results showed that: (1) the participants emphasized comprehension as the goal of reading and considered themselves good EFL readers; (2) their reading purposes were closely associated with personal pursuits; (3) they preferred to read materials that deal with areas of interest but did not try to take a risk in terms of level of difficulty and/or length; (4) they implemented a multistrategic approach to reading in that the majority of their strategy use was in conjunction with their concern about meaning construction; (5) they were able to develop useful understandings of unknown vocabulary; and (6) their clear awareness of the cultural background presupposed in the text helped them invoke prior knowledge and reduce unknown vocabulary hindrances which contributed to comprehension. Pedagogical implications for EFL reading instruction are provided.

Taepyungmu is a performing art that can be called the most skillful dance among Korean dances. It expresses the meaning of honoring the peace and peacefulness of the country in dance. The construction of 3D stereoscopic digital contents for Taepyungmu is in a series of processes such as 3D recording of intangible cultural properties and implementation of hologram contents. The purpose is to try various possibilities through various technologies and methods, to establish a technical basis of the preservation paradigm change of intangible cultural properties and to present a leading direction to realize real digital cultural properties.

The idea that city culture can be employed as a driver for urban development has become part of the new orthodoxy by which cities seek to enhance their competitive position. Such development reflect not only the rise to prominence of the cultural sphere in the city development, but also how the meaning of culture has been refined to include new uses in order to meet the main objectives of sustainable development. This study focuses on the procedure how the cultural infrastructure and historical context can be applied for urban regeneration strategy. Two successful cases (Bilbao, Spain and Yokohama, Japan) were selected for analysis of strategies as a whole, background, main characteristics of culture-led urban regeneration strategies and their effect for urban regeneration have been analyzed in detail. In conclusion, lessons for the future development were suggested in terms of resources, planning and linking strategies.

Among the diverse apartment brand TV Ads, KCC Switzen uses a unique advertising strategy. Unlike their competitors, KCC Switzen uses a strategy without fancy rhetoric such as luxury, premium or high-tech to enhance the value of their housing. In order to define the value of contemporary housing this paper analyses the socio-cultural messaging of KCC Switzen's television advertisements using Qualitative content analysis and Floch's Semiotic Square of Consumption Values method. As a result of this analysis, KCC Switzen's advertisements are shown to contain both intrinsic values of housing and cultural humanism by asking ablout the daily lives of real families and their relationships with neighbors. This directly contrasts with the standard advertisements that focus on the investment value of residential housing. The unique KCC Switzen advertising strategies are expected to change the paradigm of residential housing.

Mureung Valley was designed as a place of scenic beauty. It was called a utopia because of its unexplored regions. Many people traveled to this place and wrote poetry and prose describing it. It represented a culturally historic site and an example of the changing of cultural spaces. Mureung Valley was one of the nameless valleys in Duta Mountain, but "Mureunggye" was named by Kim Hyon Won, who was a governor of Samcheok.. The valley acquired a reputation for many people's visiting. It was a famous space because local residents liked the place, and famous people also loved the place. This place was adapted into a cultural place with a link to the immortal world and an educational place by people's travel stories. The place maintained a reputation until now and took center stage as a famous travel space. One of the reasons it became a place of famous scenic beauty is travel. People who travel to Mureung Valley created poetry and prose containing their excitement and travel stories. As the poetry and prose had esthetic images of Mureung Valley, people understood the place. The poetry and prose showed the meaning of the place and the changing process. These codified the reputation in the place. Mureung Valley was pointed out in one of the Cheokju-Palkyoungs. However, Mugye-Palkyoung (only for Mureung Valley) was made. It was understood as the most beautiful scenery in the place and it had the meaning of the ethics place which embodied Neo Confucianism. Mureung Valley has a great natural landscape and cultural history background. That is how this place of scenic beauty was created.

Purpose: The purpose of this study is to present the success of cultural tourism service as visitor loyalty to service and to present the cultural attribute evaluation attribute (HISTOQUAL), experiential flow and tourism satisfaction as determinants effecting loyalty through literature review. Based on this, this study aims to suggest academic and practical implications for revitalizing cultural tourism services and enhancing competitiveness. Methods: This study collects data from visitors to cultural heritage tourist sites and analyzes them empirically. This study conducted a small preliminary sample survey to improve the reliability and validity of the measurement tool, and revised and supplemented the measurement tool on the basis of it. The data collected in this study were analyzed using SPSS 22.0 and the hypothesis was verified through the analysis. Results: The results of this study are as follows; First, the service quality of cultural heritage tourism has a positive effect on the experience flow. Second, the service quality of cultural heritage tourism partially effects tourism satisfaction. Third, it was shown that the experience flow of tourists have a positive effect on tourism satisfaction. Fourth, the experience flow of tourists and tourism satisfaction have a positive effect on loyalty to tourist destination. Conclusion: According to this study, it is the meaning of this study that the cultural tourism service is understood as a attractive factor and based on this, the strategic direction for the activation of cultural tourism service is suggested.

As globalization progresses and localization takes place, interest in local culture is increasing. In line with this trend, the Cultural Heritage Administration has been promoting the Cultural Heritage Night Tour Project as a night-type cultural property tourism content since 2016. Cultural property nightlife, part of the regional regeneration project, creates new added value by converging and combining various historical and cultural-related contents centered on local cultural heritage. Although the "cultural nightlife" has been greatly activated, it is judged that changes are needed to continue. This is because fixed nightlife programs are positive in terms of establishing a nationwide network, but there is a limitation in that they cannot be standardized and expanded to various forms. Therefore, in this study, the meaning and limitations of nightlife programs were identified, and cognitive theory applicable to nightlife programs was considered. Through this process, it was confirmed that cognitive poetry's 'circular for dynamic semantic composition', 'surreal foreground', and 'adventures in time and space' can be applied to nightlife programs. As a result of combining cognitive poetry with nightlife programs, it was possible to present a strategy for implementing nightlife programs differentiated from existing nightlife programs.

The purpose of this study is to explore the experiences and meaning of nursing students participating in a multicultural children mentoring program and to find out how mentoring activities can contribute to the cultural competence of future nurses. This study was based on a qualitative research design through reflective journals and in-depth interviews. From March 20 to June 30, 2016, we collected data from 10 nursing students who participated in a mentoring program for multicultural children. The research question was what was the experience of nursing students participating in multicultural children mentoring? Reflective journals were created individually before participating in mentoring activities and after 10 mentoring activities. In-depth interviews were conducted with three participants to clarify the meaning of their reflective journal and identify the implications of additional mentoring activity experiences after the completion of the mentoring activities. The results were obtained for 3 central themes; Breaking the prejudice against cultural diversity, Understanding the reality of multicultural children, and Acquiring experience for the sake of growth. The results of this study can be used as the basic data for the development of a nursing education program for the purpose of enhancing the cultural competence of nursing students.

The purpose of this research was to find out the characteristics of secluded cultural landscapes that were retained by Eyogye Cho Lyeo(漁溪 趙旅) as a recluse or a schola at the early time of Chosun dynasty through his poems, residential site and his successors' landscapes. The study sites were selected such as Wonbukgae(院北齋), Chamijeong(採薇亭), Gomaam (叩馬巖) and his graveyard. In order to do that, Wonbukgae, Chamijeong, Gomaam and his cemetery were selected as studying sites. Also researching methods were used by grasping the landscape elements through reading ancient books such as "Eyogyezip(漁溪集)", field-researching, analyzing characters of his secluded landscapes and interpreting his poem's meaning. This research found that: 1) After Danjong(端宗)'s dethronement, he returned to his home town and never come out to the world again. He wanted to keep fidelity to his king forever. 2) He was affected for his seclusion from many people who were Ryu Gyebun(柳桂芬), Bae Junghu(裵仲厚) as his classmates at Sunggyungwan(成均館). Also Won ho(元昊) and Kim Sisyub(金時習) as members of Sangyuksin(生六臣) affected him for sake of their seclusion. 3) The meaning of his seclusion expressed the notation of seclusion as a fisherman from his pen name as 'Yeogye'. Also this kind culture has very particular behavior such as concentration phenomenon of action, absolute eccentricity of seclusion, tourism of nature and deep knoledge of feng shui, strong persistence of seclusion and confucian practical attitude of filial behavior. 4) The secluded cultural landscape is divided to four regions. They have two types of landscape such as secluded cultural landscape of his lifetime and landscape transmission of his posterity and scholars. 5) The interpretation of his poems and their aesthetic analysis found two characters. His poems were expressed by landscape substance like plants, natural and man-made elements. Their theme was confucian, peaceful and faithful seclusion.
