  • This study was carried out to develop techniques for the log cultivation of Pleurotus pulmonarius. Soil landfill cultivation of the in plastic container boxes containing yield per log than but there was no difference in the yield from both spawn Hyangsan" variety. In the case of soil landfill cultivation in a shaded vinyl house, an Ailanthus tree gave a higher yield than that using poplar tree, and the yield of the Hosan" variety was higher than that of the Hyangsan" variety. With regard to proper tree species selection, willow and cherry trees were good for both the Hosan" and "Hyangsan" variet.

  • Recently the artificial intelligence green house system, which collects automatically the informations of plants cultivation circumstances and controls the growing circumstances, is studied using temperature, humidity and illuminance sensors. In this paper, the inference for plants cultivation of optimum circumstance conditions is simulated on the internet bases by predicting the temperature, humidity and illuminance. On the IOT circumstances, the plant cultivation conditions of temperature, humidity and illuminance, using Arduino sensor, are transmitted to the manager on realtime and if the optimum condition of temperature and humidity for plant cultivation is not equal to the values, the system transmits automatically the SMS warning messages on realtime. Although the sudden climite conditions(snow, rain, hot weather) are occurred, the optimum condition of plant cultivation can be controlled. In this paper, using Fuzzy rules and WEKA TOOL, although the same flora temperature zone is used, the simulation is produced for the optimum value of temperature, humidity and illuminance for the zone.

  • The growth, yield and quality of Sedum sarmentosum between soil and hydroponic cultivation were compared to produce high-quality shoots in summer season. The plants were collected from four places in Korea and cultivated in a plastic film house with 50% shading. A 1:1:1 mixtures of sand, upland soil and substrate (N-P-K: 330-220-400 $mg{\cdot}L^{-1}$) was used for soil cultivation, and a nutrient film technique (NFT) with Yamazaki-lettuce nutrient solution used for hydroponics. After 30 days of cultivation, plant height ranged from 18.4 to 21.8 cm and showed no significant difference between soil and hydroponic cultivation. Number of shoot, leaf length, leaf width, number of leaf, fresh weight, and dry weight significantly increased in hydroponics compared to those in soil cultivation. Fresh and dry weights in hydroponics were greater in 'Gunsan' and 'Wando' collections than those in other collections. Stem diameter and compression-force significantly increased in soil cultivation rather than hydroponics with significant differences among collections. However there were no significant differences in shoot bitterness and vitamin C content between cultivation methods or among the collections. Most mineral contents except Fe in hydroponics were higher than those in soil cultivation. K, Na, Zn contents in hydroponics were over 2 times higher than those in soil cultivation.

  • This study was conducted in an attempt to grasp the health problems and environmental situation of the farmers and their vinyl houses. The study was done between Aug. 10, 1995 and Sep. 10, 1995, for one month period. with two hundred and nine vinyl house cultivation farmers chosen at random as subjects in five areas in and around Kim Chun City. The following are the results of the study carried out through direct interviews and surveys with the subjects : 1. The career of farming on vinyl house facilities by sex(male vs female) averages 17.29 and 15.08 years is shorter than that of general farmer's average of 31.24 and 25.58 years(P<0.05). Hours of labor between the two are silimar : monthly labor hours for vinyl house farmers are average 28 and 27.52 days. longer than the general farmers' average of 26.57 and 25.95 hours respectively. 2. The comp aints of physical symptoms among the vinyl house farmers range from lumbago, shoulder pain dullness in the limbs and dizziness, which show no remarkable differences from those of general farmers. 3. The frequency of application of chemicals on vinyl house forming for a period of one year averages 23.79, three times as often as the general farmer's average or 8.36(P<0.05). In the addiction rate of chemicals, too, the vinyl house farmer stowed a higher percentage of $9.09\%$ over the general farmer's $1.24\%$(P<0.01). 4. In temperature, humidity and disconfort indices of in and outside of the vinyl house, room temperature is on an average $34.6{\pm}5.05^{\circ}C,\;11.7^{\circ}C$ higher than that of outside, while in humidity inside was lower than outside by $10.6\%$ point, $65.9\%$ over $76.5\%$. The discomfort index was higher inside by $83{\pm}4.61\;vs\;70.64{\pm}5.61$. 5. The status of physical treatment over the past one year shows : for vinyl house farmers-physiotheraphy$(43.06\%)$, pharmacy$(24.04\%)$, clinic(18.66%), herbal medicine(574%) : for general farmers-pharmacy$(34.16\%)$, Physiotherapy$(27.33\%)$, Clinic$(18.63\%)$, Folk Medicine$(11.18\%)$ (P<0.01).
