그라우팅 설계를 위한 절리밀도분포 산출법 개발 (Evaluation of fracture density distribution for the design of grouting works in fractured rocks)

  • To facilitate a drilling plan for grouting in fractured rock, an algorithm of practical use associated with a new term “fracture density distribution”or“fracture tomogram”is developed. It is well known that Televiewer data(amplitude and traveltime image) provide detailed information about not only dip and dip direction of each fracture but also its aperture size estimated by an appropriate evaluation algorithm. A selected plane section of medium around a borehole or the cross section between two boreholes is discretized into a two dimensional grid of cells(rectangular elements). As each elongated(straight) fracture passes through the cells, the corresponding aperture size value is successively summed up in each cell, depending on the fracture length segment. In this, the fracture lines can be determined by intersecting of each fracture plane with the selected plane section. If the fracture line does not pass through a particular grid element, the segment length is set to zero. The final value(aperture size value of each cell) derived from all the detected fractures constitutes the fracture density distribution of the selected plane section, Field examples are illustrated, which will prove the benefit of the suggested algorithm for several kinds of grouting works.

Cross-Sectional Image Reconstruction of Wooden Member by Considering Variation of Wave Velocities

  • This study was performed as part of a research project aimed at developing an ultrasonic computed tomography (CT) system of wood for field application. In this reports, we investigate the variation of wave velocities on the cross section of real size wooden structural member to confirm the reason of image distortion on CT image of wood, and then proposed a new image reconstruction method by considering the velocity variation on wood cross section. First of all, the effect of wood anisotropy on ultrasonic velocities of wooden members was investigated. Based on the relationship between ultrasonic velocity and annual ring angle, which was obtained from test results of small clear specimens, ultrasonic velocities of each measuring angle were predicted. Next, they were compared with the ultrasonic velocities measured on five wood disks. There were very large differences between predicted and measured results, thought to be caused by the skewing effect of ultrasound and the presence of juvenile-wood. Based on these findings, a new method was proposed to reconstruct cross-sectional image of wood. By using this method, some distortions on reconstructed images could be removed, and defects were more easily and clearly detected. The minimum size of detectable defect was decreased remarkably, from 33 mm to 13 mm. However, the size of the detected defect was enlarged and the position somewhat shifted to the specimen surface on the CT images, which was also thought to be caused by the skewing effect of ultrasound. Additional research has been planned to solve these problems.

  • 콘크리트구조설계기준에서는 일반적으로 처짐을 제어하기 위해 직접처짐제어법과 간접처짐제어법을 제시하고 있다. 이 때 처짐/깊이-비는 허용 처짐량을 초과하지 않도록 제한된다는 점에서 간접처짐제어법이 더 효과적이다. 실제 처짐량은 많은 요소에 의해 영향을 받기 때문에 실제 처짐량을 정확하게 산정하는 것은 어렵다. 이 연구에서는 철근콘크리트 부재의 사용한 계상태에서 처짐량을 직접 계산함으로써 한계 지간/깊이-비를 산정하였다. 이 때 처짐은 재료 모델로부터 산정된 휨곡률을 통해 산정하였다. 해석의 주요 변수는 인장증강효과 모델, 콘크리트 강도, 단면 크기 및 압축 철근의 유무이다. 해석 결과 2차식 형태의 인장증강효과 모델을 사용함으로써 해석의 일관성을 도모할 수 있는 것으로 나타났다. 또한 한계 지간/깊이-비는 단면 크기와 관계없이 재료 강도와 인장 및 압축 철근비에 따라 변화하는 것으로 나타났다.

Behaviour of ultra-high strength concrete encased steel columns subject to ISO-834 fire

  • Ultra-high strength concrete (UHSC) encased steel columns are receiving growing interest in high-rise buildings owing to their economic and architectural advantages. However, UHSC encased steel columns are not covered by the modern fire safety design code. A total of 14 fire tests are conducted on UHSC (120 MPa) encased steel columns under constant axial loads and exposed to ISO-834 standard fire. The effect of load ratio, slenderness, stirrup spacing, cross-section size and concrete cover to core steel on the fire resistance and failure mode of the specimens are investigated. The applicability of the tabulated method in EC4 (EN 1994-1-2-2005) and regression formula in Chinese code (DBJ/T 15-81-2011) to fire resistance of UHSC encased steel columns are checked. Generally, the test results reveal that the vertical displacement-heating time curves can be divided into two phases, i.e. thermal expansion and shortening to failure. It is found that the fire resistance of column specimens increases with the increase of the cross-section size and concrete cover to core steel, but decreases with the increase of the load ratio and slenderness. The EC4 method overestimates the fire resistance up to 186% (220 min), while the Chinese code underestimates it down to 49%. The Chinese code has a better agreement than EC4 with the test results since the former considers the effect of the load ratio, slenderness, cross section size directly in its empirical formula. To estimate the fire resistance precisely can improve the economy of structural fire design of ultra-high strength concrete encased steel columns.

  • 삽주(Atractylodes japonica Koidz. ex Kitam.)와 큰꽃삽주(A. macrocephala Koida.)의 근경 과 측근, 줄기, 잎과 엽병, 자방, 잎의 표피 세포의 형태와 크기에 관한 해부학적형질을 조사하여 이들의 분류학적 가치를 평가하고자 본 연구를 수행하였다. 줄기와 자방의 횡단면 구조는 매우 유사하여 두 종이 구분되지 않았으나, 근경에 분포하는 유관의 크기와 단위면적 당 분포수, 잎과 엽병의 횡단면 형태, 잎 표피 세포의 크기와 기공의 단위 면적당 분포수에서 차이가 있어 두 종을 구별하는 형질로서 가치가 있는 것으로 생각되었다.

TBM 철도터널 단면선정을 위한 공기역학적 특성 분석 (Analysis of aerodynamic characteristics for the selection of cross-section to the TBM railway tunnels)

  • 유럽 등 해외에서는 TBM 굴착방식을 이용한 터널이 다수 건설되고 있지만, 국내에서는 거의 적용되고 있지 않다. TBM 철도터널의 적용성을 높이기 위해서는 토목적 설계요소와 공기역학적 영향을 고려한 최적단면을 선정할 필요가 있다. 이러한 최적단면의 선정시에는 터널 연장, 열차 속도, 전차선 높이, 공동규 규격 등 토목적인 설계요소에 대한 고려와 함께 공기역학적 영향을 검토하여 적정 단면 계획의 수립이 필요하다. 공기역학적 검토시에는 최근 철도터널의 고속화를 고려하고 적절한 분석기준의 수립이 필요하지만 현재 국내에서는 관련기준이 없어 터널마다 상이한 공기압 분석기준이 적용되고 있는 실정이다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 국내외 이명감 및 미기압 분석기준에 대하여 검토하고, TBM 터널단면별 공기역학적 분석을 통해서 TBM 철도터널의 단면선정시 공기역학적 영향과의 상관관계에 대해 분석하였다.

  • 최근 도로터널은 장대화되고 있으며 도심지 등의 장대 대심도 도로터널의 계획이 추진되고 있다. 이러한 장대, 대심도 터널 굴착공법은 NATM과 TBM 공법 등이 있으며 유럽에서는 약 80%, 기타 선진국에서도 약 30%의 교통터널에서 Shield TBM 공법을 적용하고 있다. 하지만 국내에서는 대부분의 장비가 외국에서 고가에 수입되고 있어 국내의 TBM 터널 보급률이 상당히 낮아 NATM 굴착방식이 보편적으로 적용되고 있는 실정이다. TBM 터널의 보급을 늘리기 위해서는 TBM 장비의 국내 수급을 통한 경제성의 확보가 필요하며 이를 위해 표준화된 TBM 구경의 선정이 시급한 실정이다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 도로터널의 표준화된 TBM 최적단면 선정을 위해 교통량에 따라 차로수의 규모 및 내부형상(단층 혹은 복층), 환기방식에 따른 TBM 굴착 내공단면을 활용 방안 등을 검토하여 최적 단면의 산출방안을 제시하고자 하였다.

고규소 구상흑연주철의 기계적 성질 및 미세조직에 미치는 단면 크기 및 용탕 유지의 영향 (Effects of Section Size and Melt Holding on the Mechanical Properties and Microstructure of High Silicon Ductile Cast Iron)

  • The effects of section size and melt holding time on the mechanical properties and microstructure of high silicon ductile cast iron were investigated. The strength, elongation and hardness of the test specimen with smaller cross-section were higher than those with larger one. The nodule count and volume fraction of pearlite of the former were higher than those of the latter. The mechanical properties decreased with increased melt holding time before pouring. Nodularity and nodule count decreased and the volume fraction of pearlite rather slightly increased with it.

  • Using a model system that can compare the before and after of canal preparation in the same tooth, we measured the area of the cross section, and canal wall thickness of the distal portion of the mesial root of the mandibular molar, and compared the amount of reduction in the canal using hand flared preparation the Gates-Glidden drill flared preparation according to the changes in the MAF. The results were as follows. 1. After canal preparation, the canal wall thickness had no significant difference between the hand flared preparation and Gates-Glidden drill flared preparation. 2. The canal wall thickness, after canal preparation, there was no significant difference between the sizes of the MAF. 3. The area variation range of each cross section of root had no significant difference between MAF size and methods of canal preparation. 4. After canal preparation, the frequency of the canal wall thickness under 0.5mm showed 3.5mm below the furcation to be the most frequent with statistical significance(p<0.05). 2mm below the furcation and 5mm below the furcation followed but there was no statistical significance. 5. The danger zone of the mesial root of the mandibular molar seems to be around 3.5mm.

금속 분말의 레이저 적층 시 표면 및 단면 특성에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Characteristics of Laser Deposition Surface and Cross-section for Metal Powder)

  • In this study, we compared the physical and chemical properties evaluation for each size in the SUS316L metal powder produced by water atomization and gas atomization. and we analyzed the experimental data in order to find the basis of a suitable metal powder (SUS316L) for DED (Direct Energy Deposition) processing. Also it evaluated the properties of each layered surface and cross section according to the number of deposition and deposition speed. In the result of optical microscopy measurements, the metal powder by water atomization was the crack generated between the deposition layer, the deposition layer was poor quality. However, metal powder by gas atomization was obtained a relatively good deposition results than metal powder by water atomization.
