Nevertheless the serious environmental pollution in Korea has been discussed in concern with health effect, the significant effect are not determined easily. Toxicological method has been used to establish safe levels of exposure for environmental pollutants to have threshold health effect below which significant effects are unlikely to occur. However the conventional method cannot to establish safe levels of exposure for non-threshold pollutants have been used to express comprehensive pollution degree, not in detailed toxic effects. Acceptable exposure or risk levels are decides by policymakers who consider descriptions and estimates of risks together with social and economic benefits. This paper focuses on the concept development of risk assessment and describes some risks of environmental pollution based on the surveyed date in Korea. The current concepts of risk assessment in policy descisions can be explored and areas for possible improvement, given current scientific knowledge are identified. The experience of foreign countries can provide a realistic basis for evaluating the existing data of environmental pollutants. To improve the environmental quality, risk regulation should be managed as soon as possible in Korea.

With the Euro-4 regulation coming into effect, the domestic car industry is forced to look for newer options to reduce NOX in the exhaust. EGR(Exhaust Gas Recirculation) Cooler is an effective method for the reduction of NOX form a diesel engine. High efficiency, low pressure loss and compactness are desirable features of an EGR Cooler. The cooling performance of EGR depends on the shape of tubes and the location of the entrance and exit. This paper reports the computational work conducted to estimate the performance of EGR cooler with three different cross section tubes and a triangular spiral tube. Three dimensional computation results show that the triangular tube is more effective than circular and rectangular tube. The most effective geometry is a triangular spiral tube with offset inlet and outlet locations.

The demand of JIB crane to handle a container or a bulk in a vessel is increasingly because of the growth of the scale of trade through the sea. This deck crane such as JIB crane is required the weight reduction design because it is installed in the deck of a vessel due to the environment regulation. In this study first we carry out the structural analysis of JIB with respect to the luffing angle of it to calculate the maximum equivalent stress of JIB, and next the optimum design for the weight reduction design of JIB. The thickness in a cross section of JIB is adopted as the design variable, the weight of JIB as the objective function, and the von mises stress as the constraint condition for the optimum design of JIB using the ANSYS 10.0.

Alanine aminotransferase (AAT) is mainly synthesized in the liver, and its level in mammalian serum is elevated after acute phase induction. Here we demonstrated that sheep anti-human AAT antibody cross-reacted with amphioxus humoral fluids as well as human serum; and the concentration of AAT in the humoral fluids in amphioxus increased after the acute challenge with lipopolysaccharide, while the level of total proteins remains unchanged. These suggest the presence of the same acute phase response pattern in amphioxus, as observed in some mammalian species. Immunohistochemically, AAT was localized in the hepatic diverticulum, ovary and testis. It appears that the hepatic diverticulum in amphioxus is functionally homologous to the vertebrate liver in respect of AAT synthesis, supporting the hypothesis that the vertebrate liver evolved from the hepatic diverticulum of an amphioxus-like ancestor during early chordate evolution.

In this paper, weldability and formability of Tailored-Blank (TB) and the structural impact testing of bump beam were investigated to apply TB to automobile bumper beam. The optimal $CO_2$ laser welding condition for TB of SPFC and SPRC steel plates with different thicknesses was obtained. Before welding, the cross section of butt joint was prepared only by shearing without milling process. Real type bump beam was produced by two kind of forming processes such as roll-forming and press-forming, and the good formability of TB was obtained. Impact test results of bump by using pendulum and barrier were satisfied the impact regulation of bump. Finally. It may be confirmed that laser welded TB is well-balanced material in both weight reduction and production cost of automobile bump.

The European Union has adopted the ADR Directive and ODR Regulation in 2013 with the purpose to strengthen the e-commerce within the EU. Not covered by these legislations is the trade in the B2B sector. The author examines the question of whether online ADR under the currently applicable legal framework would be possible in Germany. At the center of his review is the possibility of an arbitration clause which refers exclusively to an online ADR scheme, may be included in the General Terms and Conditions of an online trader.

전자전기 제품의 수요가 증가하면서 다양한 전원회로들이 개발되고 있다. 특히 높은 전력밀도와 제작 단가 절감을 위해서 다 출력 컨버터의 개발 연구가 진행되고 있다. 본 논문은 3.3V와 5V 두 가지 출력을 가지는 비대칭 하프브리지 플라이백 컨버터를 제안한다. 제어기 하나를 통해 추가적인 제이기술 없이 간단한 방법으로 출력 전압을 제어하였으며, 다 출력 컨버터에서 문제가 되는 cross regulation 성능을 향상 시켰다. 제안된 다 출력 컨버터는 3.3V/16A, 5V/12A 출력 용량의 시제품 제작을 통해 성능을 검증하였다.

The airframe ground vibration tests were conducted on the KC-100 aircraft according to the regulation requirement, KAS 23.629(a)(2) and the modal characteristics for the target modes were measured. To make FE model tuning, a design sensitivity approach with engineering judgment was implemented using MSC/Nastran and Attune, a genetic algorithm based parameter optimization software. Based on the comparison between initial prediction and test results, design variables such as beam cross-sectional properties and spring stiffnesses were devised. As the results, the correlation of the FE model to the GVT results was made appropriately, meeting the goal of matching the target frequencies within 5%.

The not an organization a branch stream the maintenance factor class on a class and the roadway type for roadway lighting design, the facted an insufficiency maintenance factor to apply our the country conditions. The consideration of maintenance factors is not being fully applied for roadway lighting design in Korea. This paper consider optical characteristics and maintenance factors as well as LID of Luminaires in designing roadway lighting. Consideration of maintenance factors that are neme specified according to LDD(Luminaire Dirt Depreciation), LLD(Lamp Lumen Depreciation), AADT(Average Annual Daily Traffic) based on IESNA regulation. The analyzed optical characteristics are applied for stagger and cross roadway types with maintenance factors in the range of 0.51$\sim$1.00 and equipment factor of 0.9.

이 연구는 한국계 이민자 가정과 백인가정 사이의 부모의 행동적 심리적 통제와 아동의 정서적 행복감에 관한 차이를 알아보기 위해 실시하였다. 미국 시애틀 지역의 8에서 9세 사이의 자녀를 둔 31한국계 가정과 31백인 가정이 연구에 참여하였다. 각 각의 부모들과 자녀들에게 질문지를 실시하여 그 결과를 비교하였다. Acceptance/rejection and control 질문지 결과는 한국계 이민자 가정의 아버지들이 백인 아버지들보다 자녀들에게 전반적으로 더 많은 통제와 공격적 양육태도를 보여주었다. Child Regulation Index결과, 한국계 어머니들도 자녀들에게 더 많은 행동조절 지시를 하는 것으로 나타났다. 이에 반해 아동들의 심리내적인 정서를 알아보기 위해 실시한 Reynolds child depression scale에서 한국계 이민자 가정 아동들이 백인 부모의 자녀들보다 자기 자신에 대해 덜 행복하게 느끼고 있음을 보고하였다. 특히 전체적으로 어머니들의 통제가 아동의 심리내적 정서와 관계가 있음이 확인되었고, 본 연구의 결과를 토대로 부모의 심리적 행동적 통제와 아동의 정서적 행복감에 대해 논의하였다.
