  • The purpose of this study is to investigate the torso patterns by analyzing sensory evaluations. The anthropometric measurements for female college students were obtained between March and October in 1998, and a total of 197 anthropomatric data was used for the somatotype analysis. The appearance and fit of three kinds of torso patterns(ESMOD, FIT, and Muller & sohn) were evaluated by expert panel and the subjects. The results of the anthropometric measurements and sensory evaluations are as follows; The mean height of the anthropometric data for 197 students is 158.98cm. The largest proportion of the three somatotypes(H, M and A type) is big hip type(A type) consisting of 47.7% of all the respondents. The result of the torso pattern evaluations by expert panel indicates that the ESMOD pattern obtains the highest rating in general acceptability. A significant difference(p<.05) in the responses to two questions, the placement of the waist dart, and the gapping & creasing at back hip area was found. The ESMOD and Muller & sohn patterns are given the highest rating in the general acceptability. The result of the evaluation was obtained by the subjects. (Korean J. • The effect of coating thickness on the contact fracture was studied, in Si3N4 coated Si3N4-BN system When the elastic/plastic mismatch is relatively large betwen two layers in bilayer certain critical coating thickness was required to prevent cone crack initiation and this critical thickness was decreased by de-creasing the elastic/plastic mismatch,. In addition the required critical thickness should be increased when higher loads apply. In conclusion an appropriate coating thickness should be designed by elastic/plastic mismatch between two layers and environment (applied load) to prevent the coating fracture

  • Two different compositions of melt spun magnetic alloys, $ Nd_4Fe_{80}B_{16} and Nd_4Fe_{76}Co}\_3Hf_{0.5}Ga_{0.5}B_{16},$ were characterized in terms of magnetic properties and thermal behaviors. It was found that the addition of Hf and Ga effectively slow down the crystallization rate of the nanocomposite $ Nd_2Fe_{14}B/Fe_3B$ magnet. Coercivity(iHc) changes only slightly with varying the post annealing conditions confirming that iHc is not a sensitive magnetic quantity as a function of grain size and exchange coupled interaction. The experimentally observed behaviors of Mr and Hc do not vary monotonously with in-creasing grain size which is not in agreement with the numerically calculated result near the critical grain size (dc). The plot of the grain size dependence for the remanence and coercivity in isotrop!c nanocomposite magnets has been revised in this study. The maxium energy product, $(B, H)_{max}$ =15.34 MGOe, and a reduced remanence, Mr/Ms=0.84 were obtained, respectively.

  • A study was performed to establish the detection method of irradiated cereals. A drastic reduction of the apparent viscosity of suspensions with heat treatment was observed up to 1∼2 kGy in brown rice, Job's-tears, polished barley and polished rice. They were gently reduced to samples irradiated at 15 kGy. This trend was similar for all stirring speeds. The viscosity of unirradiated brown rice, Job's-tears, polished barley and polished rice reduced with in-creasing stirring speeds and this tendency was similar for irradiation doses. Regression expressions and coefficients of brown rice, Job's s-tears, polished barley and polished rice on different doses were 0.9399($y=3408.0e^{-0.2338x}$), 0.8855($y=3597.8e^{-0.6864x}$), 0.9343($y=7554.0e^{-0.4998x}$) and 0.9714($y=3228.2e^{-0.5312x}$), respectively, at 120 rpm. These results sug-gest that detection of irradiation for cereals could be possible by viscometric methods.

  • This paper was designed to estimate the interaction of the first productivity, light conditions and to analyze the ecophysiological productivity, growth characteristics grown under various shading conditions in Zoysia japonica . The results summarized this experiment were as follows; 1.After transplanting the grass, increasing rate of leaf number and total leaf length was remarkahly high at the early growth stage in the control and the 30% shading plot. 2.The increasing rate of leaf area ratio (LA R) in all the experimental plot was remarkable high at the early growth stage after transplanting the grass. Especially, the control and 30% shading plot in compared with another plots, were remarkably high at rate of leaf area. 3.The length and the node number of rhizome in the control and 30% shading plot were also high and the difference was significantly large by the growth stage. 4.Chlorophyll content was very high at 36days after transplanting and then decreased. Increasing rate of shade resulted in its low content. The rate of chlorophyll a to b was decreased by in-creasing rate of shade. 5.The content of soluble sugar in the control and 30% shading plot was low at the early growth after transplanting and high at the late growth stage. Its content in the plot of 70% shading was remarkably low throughout the growth stage. 6.The increasing rate of standing plant in all the experimental plots was high at the early growth stage after transplanting. Increasing rate of shade was typically low through all the growth stage.

  • As software has gotten bigger in magnitude and the complexity of software has been increased, the maintenance has gained in-creasing attention for its significant impact on the cost. Identifiers have an impact on more than 90 percent of the readability which accounts for a majority portion of the maintenance activities. For this reason, the existing works focus on domain-specific features based on identifiers. However, their approaches have a limitation when either a class name does not reflect the intention of its context or a class naming is incorrect. Therefore, this paper suggests a series of class name validation process by extracting properties of classes, building learning model by applying a decision tree technique of machine learning, and generating a validation report containing the list of recommendable postfixes of classes to be validated. To evaluate this, four open source projects are selected and indicators such as precision, recall, and ROC curve present the value of this work when it comes to five specific postfixes including functional information on class names.

  • The purpose of this study is to report a clinical progress of treatment of sequelae caused by removal of facial schwannoma through Korean medicine. A patient was diagnosed with facial schwannoma by MRI on 4th June 2012 in local university hospital, he had right facial palsy, auditory hypersensitivity, dizziness after removal of facial schwannoma. Between 25th July 2012 and 26th January 2013, he was treated with acupuncture, cupping, electro-acupuncture every week and observed by House-Brackmann facial nerve grading system(H-B scale) and MoReSS every month. He had 29 times treatments. At the first of treatment, his state was Grade IV (H-B scale), 4/8(facial nerve grading), 10 points during action 7 points during rest(MoReSS) and he had severe facial palsy, ill-acrimation, auditory hypersensitivity. At the middle of treatment, October 2012, symptoms improved. State was Grade III (H-B scale), 5/8(facial nerve grading), 7 points during action 3 points during rest(MoReSS). Severe facial palsy improved ; Forehead creasing and union motor function recovered, he was able to close his eyes so ill-acrimation improved. At the end of treatment, January 2012, state was Grade II (H-B scale), 7.5/8(facial nerve grading), 3 points during action 1 point during rest(MoReSS). He had only occasional tinnitus and auditory hypersensitivity. Acupuncture and electro-acupuncture are estimated to be good for facial palsy after removal of facial schwannoma. More cases are required to develop treatment of facial palsy.

  • The effects of age and dietary fatty acid composition on lipid metabolism were investigated in Sprague-Dawley strain male rats. These animals weighing 88.6$\pm$2.2g were fed 10% dietary fat(W/W, 20% of total energy) with 0.5, 1, 2 P/S ratio and in each P/S ratio there were three different levels of n-6/n-3 fatty acid ratio ; 2, 4, 8. The experimental period was 1 month, 6 months and 12 months. The results of this study were as follows. The body weight of rats increased rapidly for the first two months, then increased slowly until 7 to 8 months. After 10 months of dietary regimen their weight decreased. The weight of liver, kidney and epidydimal fat pad increased along with the body weight and then decreased in the 12 months. Plasma total lipid increased with age and it decreased significantly when P/S ratio of dietary fatty acid was high. In creased with age and it decreased significantly when P/S ratio of dietary fatty acid was high. In creasing n-3 fatty acid intake in each P/S ratio resulted in lower plasma total lipid although was not statistically significant. The amount of plasma total cholesterol increased at 6 months, but decreased at 12 months. In case of 1, 12 months, increasing P/S ratio significantly plasma total cholesterol and LDL-cholesterol were decreased and hepatic cholesterol was increased, VLDL-HDL-cholesterol did not changed. The n-6/n-3 ratio did not affect any of theses. The amount of plasma triglyceride and VLDL-triglyceride increased at 6 month then decreased. When the rats consumed higher amount of n-3 fatty acid in each P/S ratio, their plasma triglyceride and hepatic triglyceride increased at 1, 12months.

  • Metal matrix composites had generated a lot of interest in recent times because of significant in specific properties. It was also highlighted as the materials of frontier industry because strength, heat-resistant, corrosion-resistant, wear-resistant were superiored. In this study the strength properties of $Al_{18}B_4O_{33}/AC4CH$ were represented mixing the binder of $Al_2O_3$ and $TiO_2$. It was also fabricated by squeeze casting. $Al_{18}B_4O_{33}/AC4CH$ was fabricated at the melt temperature of $760^{\circ}C$ the perform temperature of $700^{\circ}C$ and mold temperature of $200^{\circ}C$ under the pressure of 83.4MPa and observed SEM. Fatigue crack growth rate tests on compact tension specimen(half-size) of thickness 12.5mm were conducted by using sinusoidal waveform. Compact tension specimens(half-size) were used and fatigue crack growth rate da/dN and stress intensity factor range ${\Delta}K$ were analyzed concerning to the R value of 0.1 and 0.05. In order to find out the value of ${\Delta}K$, load amplitude constant method was applied by the standard fatigue testing method describes in ASTM E647-95a. As the results of this study, Fatigue crack growth rate increased with in creasing the load ratio, Consequently, At equivalent stress intensity factors, the fatigue crack growth rates in MMC were faster than those of AC4CH alloy. then the fatigue life and the fatigue crack growth rate was investigated using scanning election microscopy(SEM)

  • Flexibility, love of symbols, small size-these are all qualites that accompany the proclivity towards compactness in Japanese culture. They developed and have been refined to an unusual level in Japan partly out of the necessity to use limited space economically, but these qualities also characterize the aesthetic preferences of the people. Because space is so precious, it receives a great deal of attention in every aspect of life. Over the centuries Japanese have devised innumerable ways to use space that are ingenious in their successful combination of pragmatism, harmony, and beauty. Folding, stacking, rolling, nesting, carrying, consolidating, miniaturizing and transforming are some of the techniques for living that have created the compact culture. Folding allows a one-dimensional object to be placed in prescribed small space. Stacking objects of the same shape makes use of vertical space, saving valuable horizontal space. Rolling an object reduces it to a tidy cylinder without creasing it, creating yet another form of repose for functionally flat things. Nesting several identically shaped objects of graduated sizes is known as ireko. Carrying things by hand makes them available for any occasion, by plan or on impulse. Consolidating is to bring together the multifarious systems of living into an integrated whole. Miniaturizing things is a way to bring even the universe down to the scale of a human hand. Transforming the face of things is another notable propensity in the Japanese life style. Each one is put to use in countless ways, suggesting principles and conceptions that encapsulate the wisdom of tradition. In this study I wishes to investigate the principals of Japanese traditional design and the applied case in fashion goods.
