Objectives: The purpose of this study is to design Korean-themed online public education content in Korean medicine using rapid prototyping instructional systems design (RPISD). This study presents cases of developing and converting face-to-face general education programs designed to increase the interest in and understanding of Korean medicine for the public into online programs within a short timeframe. Methods: This qualitative study is design and development research, which used the RPISD model to analyze the available resources utilized in the rapid development of public educational content and propose systematization and optimization measures by analyzing the needs of clients, learners, and the environment. The <Treasured Mirror of Eastern Medicine(DUBG)Open Course> was developed according to the model procedure, which involved needs analysis, development of course materials and manuscript, and storyboard creation and its filming and editing. Usability tests were conducted at all stages, and the opinions of clients, instructors, experts, and instructional designers were accommodated and reflected at each stage. Results: Using the rapid prototyping model, <Treasured Mirror of Eastern Medicine(DUBG)Open Course> was organized into five classes of 20 minutes each. Each class was developed in Korean and included English, Chinese, and Japanese subtitles in addition to Korean under the cooperative instructional design among clients, subject-matter experts, instructional designer and learners. Conclusion: The cooperative instructional design of stakeholders is significant in developing Korean medicine public education content online through extensive interaction and feedback from stakeholders in the early stage of educational content development.

Purpose: The purpose of this study was to develop a program outcomes assessment system based on Course Embedded Assessment for nursing education. Methods: This study was conducted in accordance with the procedures of the developmental research method. Results: The major results are as follows. 1) The program outcomes were measured according to the Analytic Hierarchy Process. 2) The Course Embedded Assessment matrix was made according to program outcomes' weight, the curriculum-organizing principle, and achievement levels. 3) The Course Embedded Assessment rubric was developed in logical process, and consisted of a performance criterion, and rating scale. The content validity index of the Course Embedded Assessment rubric was 0.85. 4) An evaluation guideline and 12 documents were developed to facilitate the performance of the assessment system. 5) The average content validity index of the Course Embedded Assessment-based program outcomes assessment system was as high as 0.89. Conclusion: A Course Embedded Assessment-based program outcomes assessment system is more suitable for accreditation of nursing education than previous studies. Because this system evaluates the process of achievement as well as program outcomes, the results can also serve as immediate feedback to improve the educational process. Above all, this system facilitates that students check their achievements and strive to acquire core competencies in nursing.
This study develops and applies a service learning course that integrates university curriculum with the local community in housing and interior design. The results of the study are as follows. First, the service learning course of the housing and interior design was developed as a six-week lecture based on the project model with the theme of housing for the socially disadvantaged. Second, this course was implemented with faculty, students, interior designers, and service recipients to engage in activities to improve the educational environment of local child centers. Next, students engaged in the service learning course and continuously conducted reflection activities to enhance the effectiveness of learning. In reflection activities, students assessed that self-directed capabilities increased as has employing the coordination and applicability to meet identified community needs. Finally, faculty, students, and experts (including institutional experts and supervising departments) evaluated course practice and educational outcomes. Experts assessed that the course clarified course objectives, utilized various learning strategies, and showed that the structural reflection mode of learners and professors was overwhelmingly positive. The results indicated that service-learning courses enable students to integrate academic study with social work to better understand course content through direct engagements in experience learning. Furthermore, students are empowered by participation in public services that benefit service clients and consultants as students take more personal responsibility for learning.

This preliminary study examined the status of data science-related course syllabi in the American Library Association (ALA) accredited Library and Information Science (LIS) programs. The purpose of this study was to explore LIS course syllabi related to data science, such as course title, course description, learning outcomes, and weekly topics. LIS programs offer various topics in data science such as the introduction to data science, data mining, database, data analysis, data visualization, data curation and management, machine learning, metadata, and computer programming. This study contributes to helping instructors develop or revise course materials to improve course competencies related to data science in the ALA-accredited LIS programs.

The study analyzed the result of a survey on educational programs after the provision of professional development education in textile-based industries, with the aim of suggesting a method of evaluating professional development education, by shedding new light on the educational contents and environment required by industries and on the components required to strengthen competence based on an evaluation of the outcomes of such educational programs. Methods of analysis included frequency & average analysis, ANOVA and portfolio analysis, and a questionnaire containing seven questions on satisfaction with 'educational contents,' six questions on satisfaction with 'educational environment,' three questions on educational effect and questions on overall satisfaction with education was used as an analysis tool. Data used in the analysis was obtained through a survey of the attendants of lectures given from January 2014 to September 2014, and the respondents included 30 persons enrolled in CEO courses, 167 persons enrolled in employment courses and 101 persons enrolled in employment & start-up business courses. The results of the research are as follows. 1. Looking at frequency distribution by educational course, it was shown, from highest to lowest, to be Incumbent Courses (167 persons, 56%), Employment & Start-up Courses (101 persons, 33.9%) and CEO Courses (30 persons, 10.1%). Looking at average analysis by question, the value of most questions on Employment & Start-up Courses turned out to be lower than Employment Courses and CEO Courses. 2. Through a variance analysis on questions related to educational courses (Employment & Start-up Course, Incumbent Course & CEO Course) and post-verification, it turned out that Employment Course is in the same group as the CEO Course in most questions, and that Employment & Start-up Course was a separate group. 3. Overall satisfaction with education turned out to be as high, at 4.1 out of 5. 4. Through a portfolio analysis on educational courses, it was found that 'Overall Satisfaction with Educational Contents,' 'Usefulness of Educational Contents,' 'Overall Satisfaction with Educational Environment' and 'Quality and Ability of Instructors' were included in areas of recommendation.
In the midst of a continued discourse and development concerning design education and its impact on innovation and creativity, I believe that design education still holds the key to enhancing design methodology while increasing creativity by having students take on several creative roles in an interactive and enjoyable studio course. Clearly, there exist impediments that block the creative process in our standard track in design education; however, a course entitled "The Creative Workshop" can overcome such obstacles. Through this course, a student can learn the essential skills of a designer: inventive thinking, a sense of aesthetics, and a spirit of collaboration. In addressing each of the three essential elements, this course has devised role-plays in the way of projects. Simply put, students will be required to demonstrate and, therefore, express their unique creativity that may have otherwise gone muted. Such creative expression can take form in a low stakes, open forum that heralds the invaluable attribute in design such as creative freedom. As a result, the true spirit of creativity is fostered rather than mere aesthetics and styling. Moreover, through role plays, the focus shifts its center from design, allowing each student to explore the uncharted areas of one's own creativity which may come naturally to some extend while disconcerting to others. It may prove particularly uncomfortable for Korean students whose ideas about education have been directly connected to the strict and regimented school system that stresses adherence to standardization such as the national college entrance exam. This course, therefore, is aimed stretch the scope and scale of students' creativity as they learn to collaborate on role plays, utilizing diverse skills from various disciplines.

This study aims to develop a research methodology course for graduate-level students using an information-seeking behaviour model of distance learners. Based on a case study and structured survey, the factors that motivate and hinder information-seeking behaviours were identified. The motivating factor for students seeking information through the research methodology course was the necessity to obtain a master's degree, while the hindering factor was the challenge of balancing work and study. The course was developed by leveraging motivational factors and addressing hindering factors. The results of this study can serve as foundational data for understanding students' information-seeking behaviour and establishing teaching and learning strategies to enhance students' information-seeking skills when developing online courses.

Overall 25~30 new golf courses are opening in Korea these days, and total annual rounds have been also increasing by 10~15% every year. The Korean golf industry is being recognized as the largest growing golf industry in the world. However, it is easily defined that there are many problems of golf course development and construction methods such as construction fees. The average construction cost for golf course development and golf course maintenance fees in Korea are much more than the cost in the USA and other countries. It may be due to the fact that USA golf course development is managed by a highly developed construction method and well trained specialists. This study will be concentrated on one of the major differences, which is about cart path material; this causes a big difference of construction and maintenance fees. In order to overcome this study, concrete and asphalt will be specified as the main cart path material. Also, some case studies and construction regulations of golf course development in the USA will be introduced for a better understanding of this study.
Within physical therapy education, there has been increased attention to curricula and course that emphasize problem solving, clinical reasoning, and synthesis of information across traditional discipline-specific boundaries. This article describes the development implementation, and outcomes of a problem-based learning course in Physical therapy. The course was designed to help students to integrate the various elements of a physical therapy curriculum and to enhance their abilities to respond to an ever-changing health care environment. An evaluation of the course by the first 50 students who completed it revealed both strengths and weaknesses. Students responded that the course enhanced their professional behavior, including interpersonal communication skills, team work, and follow-through with professional responsibilities. The learning package was developed by the authors and implemented to a college students during three weeks of the first semester of 2001. Most studies which conducted PBL module development were short period or temporary PBL package application and evaluation rather than a whole semester's. While, this study carried on partial integrated PBL curriculum development and application with recomposing content of the two subjects to one subject Physical therapy which includes four PBL packages. This package was developed from a simple concept to complex and partial integrated PBL curriculum application systematically variable learning methods such as discussion, practice, lecture, video. There are 2 classes, each class has 25 students, in the college. Each class has 5 small groups consisting 5 students. Two tutors proceeded discussion charging each class also, they used multiple methods and materials like tutorials, self-directed learning, lecture, and video. The package is 5 grades and 5 hours per week and the rate of discussion, lecture is 4, 1 respectively. One of the most change is the increase of interaction between students and tutors. Whenever students need information and suggestion, they can visit tutors who provide reading materials and guide for the direction of self learning. Therefore, this study describes the PBL package development process and application during one semester recomposing contents of two subjects to Physical therapy concepts. Besides, it will contribute to active application of existing each subject to tutors who intend to convert as PBL methods. The study has significant meaning to show potentiality of partially integrated PBL application, using systematic PBL package development from two subjects contents. However, when students' need of yearning is over the extent of Introduction of Physical therapy and Rehabilitation medicine, tutors should set learning extent. So, there is limitation to attain completely integrated PBL education within one subject, therefore, it is high lighted to proceed development of integrated curriculum to maximize learning effects of PBL. It is exected that partial integrated PBL package development and application will distribute to prosper excellent physiotherapist in practice.
