  • LED BLU(Back Light Unit), based on MCPCB(Metal Core Printed Circuit Board) with anodizing oxide dielectric layer and improved thermal dissipation property, are presented. Reflecting cups were also formed on the surface of the MCPCB such that optical coupling between neighboring chips were minimized for improving the photon extraction efficiency. LED chips were directly attached on the MCPCB by using the COB (Chip On Board) scheme.

  • The paper provides a review of the analysis methods currently being used to perform seismic analysis of free standing high density spent fuel storage racks for PWR. On the basis of the analysis techniques obtained by KAERI from the design experience of Yonggwang unit 3&4 and Ulchin unit 3&4, the analysis procedure and modeling methods are discussed. The analysis of free standing fuel racks requires consideration of complex phenomena such as hydrodynamic coupling, impact through gap between fuel assembly and poison box and racks, frictional effect, rigid body sliding and tipping and etc. The present modeling of these factors is reviewed in comparison with the recommendation of regulatory group. Further improvement of analysis method and the current issues for the development are discussed.

Preparation of 3,4-Ethylenedioxythiophene (EDOT) and N-4-butylphenyl-N,N-diphenylamine (BTPA) Copolymer Having Hole Transport Ability

  • Hole transport copolymers consisting of 3,4-ethylenedioxythiophene (EDOT) and N-4-butylphenyl-N,N-diphenylamine (BTPA) were synthesized by oxidative coupling reaction using $FeCl_3$ as an oxidant. These copolymers showed good solubility and their thin films showed sufficient morphological stability. The copolymers showed an absorption maximum around 320 nm. Copolymers had an oxidation peak at approximately $1.03{\sim}1.14V$ versus the Ag/AgCl electrode. The hole mobility increased with increasing portion of the EDOT unit. The hole mobility of the copolymer containing 57% of the EDOT unit showed the highest mobility of $3{\times}10^{-5}cm^2/V{\cdot}s$.

  • The design of agricultural facilities is the consistent activities, which systematically analyze all the actual conditions, design the unit structures, and improve the faming environment through efficient organization of the unit facility. The design of agricultural facilities is composed of site study, preliminary design, primary design, and detail design. Integrated design system can manage and process the information created by and used in all steps of design process. Formal data models of these design activities are important conceptual steps in development of integrated design system. However, most of existing models are not available for agricultural facilities. To support efficiently developing the integrated design system of agricultural facilities, we have developed the Multi-Layered Primitive-Composite mode I through object-oriented analysis of agricultural facilities. The MPC model not only satisfies the characteristics of agricultural facility, such as variety, coupling, informal data, but also improves abilities of integrated design system such as extensibility, flexibility, and granularity. The paper presents a formal definition of the MPC model.

  • In this paper, numerically evaluated is the crashworthiness of the new design of the standard Korea Electric Multiple Unit Train(K-EMU)[developed by the Korea Railway Research Institute]. The 4-car consist of K-EMU is analyzed under collision conditions such as normal coupling, heavy shunting, light collision and heavy collision to collide against another stationary one at 5 kph, 10 kph, 25 kph and 32 kph, respectively. Energy absorbing capacity of its draftgear commercially available in the market and to be equipped in K-EMU is evaluated under each collision condition. Analytical results show that draftgear only is not enough to provide necessary energy absorbing capacity. It is therefore concluded that additional energy absorbers like mechanical fuses should be adopted to improve the crashworthiness of K-EMU.

  • Recently, the demand for the development of high quality and high speed laser printer and efficient power utilizations are required. Among complicate electro-mechanic devices in laser printer, the toner fusing unit consumes above 90[%] of all electrical energy needed for printing devices. Therefore, the development of more effective energy-saving toner fusing process becomes a significant task of much great demand. Generally, there are several way to implement fusing unit, among them this paper present a new hybrid induction heating method. The proposed induction heating method enables to increase coupling coefficient between heating coil and heat roller also to Increase total energy transfer efficiency. Therefore the proposed IH inverter system provide very fast W.U.T.(Warm UP Time), also high efficiency. Through experimental result, the proposed control system is verified.

  • To reduce harmonics in the AC line and achieve a unit power factor, A 4 paralled single phase PWM AC/DC converter has been proposed. In this paper, the coupling components are derived analytically from PWM converter input transformer model and control scheme to solve this problem is proposed. Unit power factor was obtained and the AC-side current harmonics were reduced. Simulation results show the usefulness of the proposed method and applicability to PWM converter in auxiliary block of high speed train.

  • The efficient synthesis of a tetrasaccharide, the suitably protected form of the repeat unit, →2)-α-D-Manp-(1→2)-β-D-Manp-(1→3)-α-D-GlcpNAc-(1→6)-α-D-Manp-(1→, of the O-antigen polysaccharide of the lipopolysaccharide from E. coli O77 has been accomplished. Glycosylation reactions for the coupling of four monosaccharide building blocks of the tetrasaccharide were carried out employing the CB glycoside method, the mannosyl 4-pentenoate/PhSeOTf method, and the glycosyl trichloroacetimidate method with complete stereoselectivities in excellent yields.

Therefore, the proposed IH (Induction Heating) inverter system provides very fast W.U.T. (Warm UP Time) as well as higher efficiency. Through experimental results, the proposed control system is verified.

  • Satellite generates a complex electromagnetic noise by conducted and radiated coupling effect of the various electrical instruments. This noise may cause serious problems on the satellite system. To minimize the electromagnetic coupling effects and maintain the system safety margin, system noise reduction technique should be applied from the beginning of the system design. The COMS system is evaluated by measuring the conducted noise on system electrical power leads at PSR(Power Supply Regulator) and verifying a 6 dB system safety margin under the complex noise environment with current injection. The radiated noise due to the complex transmit antenna configuration is evaluated by integrating all unit-level RE measurement results, and the RF compatibility between spacecraft and launch vehicle is analyzed with the above estimations. This paper describes the COMS EMC compatibility analysis with respect to each unit level EMC test results, and RF compatibility analysis between spacecraft and launch vehicle. The analyzed results will be reflected on FM(Flight Model) EMC test.
