Many studies have been investigated on high density plasma source (Electron Cyclotron Resonance, Inductively Coupled Plasma, Helicon plasma) for large area source after It is announced that productivity of plasma process depends on plasma density. In this presentation, we will propose the new concept of the multiple source, which consists of a parallel connection of ICP sources and helicon plasma sources. For plasma uniformity, equivalent power (especially, equivalent current in ICP & Helicon) should distribute on each source. We design power feeding line as coaxial transmission line with same length of ground line in each source for equivalent power distribution. And we confirm the equivalent power distribution with simulation and experimental result. Based on basic study, we develop the plasma source for oxidation in semiconductor process. we will discuss the relationship between the processing parameters (With or WithOut magnet, operating pressure, input power ). In ICP, plasma density uniformity is uniform. In ICP with magnet (or Helicon) plasma density is not uniform. As a result, new design (magnet arrangement and gas distributor and etc..) are needed for uniform plasma density in ICP with magnet and Helicon.

In this paper, we examined the operating principle of a passive tag antenna for RFID system in UHF band. Based on the study, we proposed a novel RFID tag antenna which adopts the inductively coupled feeding structure to match antenna impedance to a capacitively loaded commercial tag chip. The proposed tag antenna consists of microstrip lines on a thin PET substrate for low-cost fabrication. The detail structure of the tag antenna were optimized using a full electromagnetic wave simulator of IE3D in conjunction with a Pareto genetic algorithm, and the size of the tag antenna can be reduced up to kr=0.27(2 cm2). We built some sample antennas and measured the antenna characteristics such as a return loss, an efficiency, and radiation patterns. The readable range of the tag antenna with a commercial RFID system showed about 1 to 3 m.
The equivalent circuits intended to analyze the characteristics of IPT systems can be shown in structures similar to those of existing transformers. IPT systems are composed of combinations of the primary and secondary coils based on magnetic coupling, and the performances are determined by the lengths or the degrees of magnetic coupling of current collecting conductors(secondary) and feeding rails (primary) and system performances become the maximum when they are coupled under the optimum condition. To maximize the output currents of the secondary side, the shapes of iron cores and the structures of coils etc should be considered. To this end, three types of IPT system simulation models were selected and they were analyzed using an electromagnetic field analyzing program. To compare the types with each other, the sizes of the IPT systems and the primary side voltages etc were made to be the same. The electromagnetic fields were analyzed while changing the thicknesses of the cores and the lengths of the air gap etc and the results were analyzed in order to derive the optimum specifications.
In a summer study during May to July, involving 12 young Murrah buffalo bulls at forty months of average age, the effects of multiple shower vs single shower body cooling and vitamin A, D and E supplementation on the sexual behaviour, semen quality and freezability were investigated. The animals were divided into two groups (6 animals in each group) and housed in a half-walled shed with proper spacing, the feeding management being identical. The bulls in the control group were given a single shower at 1000 h, whereas the experimental bulls were given four showers at 10,12,14 and 16 h. In addition, the experimental bulls were given vitamin A, D and E injections at fifteen day intervals. The sexual behaviour of bulls was observed in terms of reaction time, sexual aggressiveness and ejaculatory thrust. Semen quality of all the bulls was assessed in terms of volume, mass activity, live-dead sperm and sperm concentration, sperm motility and morphology, and acrosomal abnormality. The sexual behaviour did not vary significantly between the groups, whereas semen quality differed significantly for volume, per cent live sperms, total sperms per ejaculate and total live sperm per ejaculate between groups. It can be concluded that sexual behaviour was not influenced by the thermal comfort treatment coupled with periodic vitamin A, D and E injections. But the treatments improved most of the seminal traits in the experimental group of bulls. However, benefit of treatment was not reflected in the freezability traits of the semen.

In this work, we present the resonant frequencies, Qrad, and impedance bandwidth of rectangular dielectric resonator antenna(DRA)for a broad range of aspect ratios using Dielectric Waveguide Model. These presented data are compared with simulation and measurement. The DRA having relative permittivities of 37.84 and 90 have been fed by a coaxial cable and fed using a aperture-coupled method for comparisions. The approximate resonant frequencies are shown to have the prediction error of about 8% and impedance bandwidth is found to have large prediction variation according to feeding method. The data presented in this paper can be used when the aspect ratios of DRA have to be determined for a given resonant frequency and impedance bandwidth.

In this paper, a broadband microstrip antenna for PCS and IMT-2000 service is designed. To obtain the broadband characteristics of an antenna, we utilized the multi-layered structure composed of two foam material layers, parasitic element and aperture coupled feeding network. The broadband characteristic is obtained by changing the size of parasitic element and the height of foam materials. In addition to that, the usage of metal layer at the distance of λ/4 from feed-line, back radiation is reduced. The bandwidth of a single element for VSWR less than 1.3 is about 550MHz. The bandwidth of a designed 1$\times$4 array antenna for VSWR less than 1.3 is about 460MHz. The gain of a designed array antenna is about 11.15∼12.15dBi and the front-to-back ratio is about 30dB.
Seasonality in biomass and egg Production was investigated for Calanus sinicus, one of the major copepods in Asan Bay, Korea. Biomass of this species in this restricted embayment showed only one Peak in spring, but e99 Production showed two Peaks, spring (April and May) and fall (September). Average egg Productions during the spawnlng seasons were 16.3 egg/female/day (spring) and 7.6eggs/female/day (fall) with maximum egg Production of 39.0 eggs/female/day. Food concentrations in this bay measured'1 terms of particulate organic carbon (POC) were relatively high around the year, and correlation between egg Production and POC was not significant. With the food Provided sufficiently animals Produced a lot of fecal Pellets, but egg Production was ceased after several days of experiment. From these results it was believed that egg Production in this bay was influenced by food quality and feeding history rather than food concentrations. Habitat temperatures also seem to have influence on egg Production from the tacts that no egg was Produced at extreme habitat temperatures, although the correlation between the two was not significant. In this bay, two generations with different time periods seem to progress yearly. Distribution was coupled with life cycle only at certain time of the year. During the other periods predation pressure by the higher trophic levels and shift of the centers of the distributions toward deeper outer bay seemed to be responsible for the observed distribution and egg Production of this species in this bay. Comparing with the Previous reports, migration of fairly long distance and continual reproduction seemed possible for this species.
Twenty male buffalo calves of 6-9 months of age (average body weight, 97 kg) were randomly allocated into two main groups of four (control) and sixteen (supplemented) calves. The supplemented group was further divided in to four equal sub-groups, with the two groups supplemented with a liquid preparation of urea-molasses, UML1, containing fish meal and UML2, containing formaldehyde treated deoiled mustard cake (FDMC) and the other two, with a semi-solid preparation, UMC1 with FDMC and deoiled rice bran (DORB) contributing similar level of CP as in UML2 and UMC2 with double the level of FDMC to that in UMC1. The control group was fed with DORB along with ad libitum wheat straw at 40:60 ratios. The rest of the groups were fed on the above diet supplemented with 500 g (as fed basis) of urea-molasses preparations. The experimental feeding was carried out for 24 weeks including a metabolism trial towards the end of experimental feeding. Daily feed intake and fortnightly change in live weight were also recorded during the study. Catalytic supplementation of 500 g urea-molasses induced 8-25% higher voluntary feed intake of wheat straw, resulting in 15-25% higher DM and OM intake. The digestibility of DM, OM, total carbohydrate, NDF, ADF, hemicellulose and cellulose in all the dietary groups were comparable. The CP digestibility of calves in supplemented groups were higher (p<0.05) than the control group. The balance of nutrients, viz. N, Ca and P, was also higher in the supplemented groups. Significantly higher intake of digestible CP coupled with other digestible nutrients attributed to higher TDN (1.67-1.78 vs. 1.37 kg) and ME (5.94-6.31 vs. 4.87 Mcal) intake in urea-molasses supplemented groups which resulted in higher live weight gain compared to that in control group (p<0.01). Between the supplements, UML2 and UMC2 faired non-significantly, indicating formalin treated mustard cake as a suitable replacement to fishmeal in the supplement. The overall ranking based on intake and digestibility of nutrients, live weight gain, economic evaluation and input-output relationship revealed that the rations with UML2 and UMC1 to be of greater value compared to other types. From the study it can be concluded that young ruminants can be reared successfully on a basal diet of deoiled rice bran and wheat straw supplemented with cheaper urea-molasses-mineral mix.

Background: Due to the continuous demand for fish coupled with decline in capture fisheries, there is the need to increase aquaculture production to meet the demand. Aquaculture is faced with high cost of feeding since fish oil and fish meal are expensive. In view of this, there are calls to explore alternatives that are cheap and reliable. Objectives: This study on Oreochromis niloticus was conducted to evaluate the effects of replacing fish oil (FO) with palm oil (PO) at 0%, 25%, 50%, 75%, and 100% on muscle fatty acid and proximate composition as well as growthrelated enzyme activities and mRNA expression. Methods: Oreochromis niloticus were fed five experimental diets (33% crude protein and 10% crude lipid) for 8 weeks. Feed had variation in fish oil and palm oil contents. After the 8 weeks feeding trial, five fish were sampled from each tank (15 from each treatment) and euthanized using an excess dose of tricaine methane sulfonate (MS-222 at 200 mg/L). Fatty acid and enzyme activities were analyzed using standard protocols. Also, RT-qPCR was used to quantify the expression levels of selected growth-related genes. Results: Fish fed 25% PO recorded the least muscle protein content and was significantly lower than the group fed 100% PO. Paired box protein 7 (Pax-7) enzyme activity was significantly higher in the group fed 50% PO compared to the groups fed 25% PO and 100% PO, while caplain-3 (Capn-3) was significantly lower in the group fed 0% PO compared to all other groups. There was a significant difference among treatments with respect to mRNA expression of Pax-7 and Capn-3. Group fed 25% PO had significantly lower mRNA expression of Pax-7, while the group fed 75% PO recorded significantly higher mRNA expression of Capn-3 compared to groups fed 0% PO, 25% PO, and 100% PO. Pearson's correlation analysis revealed that Igf-I and Igf-II mRNA expression have significant correlation with n-3 polyunsaturated fatty acids content in muscle. Conclusion: The results suggest muscle protein content could be modified if FO is replaced with PO. Also, mRNA expression of Pax-7 and Capn-3 is affected by replacing FO with PO.
This study was performed to development the alternative farrowing pen (AFP) and to investigate performance and behavior of lactating sows and their litter. A total of 64 multiparous sows were randomly divided into two groups and were allocated to farrowing crates (FCs) and AFPs. The AFPs contained a crate and support bars that could be folded to provide the sows with extra space on day 5 postpartum. Behavior was recorded by charge-coupled device cameras and digital video recorders, and the data were scanned every 2 min to obtain an instantaneous behavioral sample. Farrowing systems did not affect feed intake, back-fat thickness, litter size and piglet weight at birth and weaning (p > 0.05). In addition, there were no differences in the number of crushed piglets between the two farrowing systems (p > 0.05). However, the weaning-to-estrus interval was shorter in the sows of the AFPs than in thous of the FCs (p < 0.05). The sows spent most of their time lying down during the lactating period, at about 80% lateral recumbency and 10%-15% ventral recumbency. The only significant differences were in the feeding and drinking behavior between sows in the two farrowing systems (p < 0.05). The FC sows displayed more feeding and drinking behavior than the AFP sows, especially in the late lactating period (p < 0.05). Piglets in the FCs tended to spend more time walking than piglets in the AFPs (p < 0.05), whereas there were no differences in suckling and lying behavior between piglets in the two farrowing systems (p > 0.05). It is concluded that the AFPs with temporary crating until day 4 postpartum did not negatively affect performance and crushed piglet compared with the FCs. It also may improve animal welfare by allowing sows to move and turn around during the lactating period. Further research is needed to find suitable housing designs to enhance productivity and animal welfare.
