  • This paper presents an acoustic emission(AE) technique using ultrasonic sensors to diagonize power transformers. Conventional methods detect and measure the electrical signal of the partial discharge(PD) of transformers in operation. The proposed techniques measures the acoustic signal generated by the partial discharge, and counts the number of the waveforms above a threshold to diagonize transformers. Experiments showed that the proposed method improved diagonosis capability over the conventional PD method.

  • This paper described partial discharge(PD) patterns depending on types of insulation defects in CNCO-W cable(Concentric Neutral Closs-linked Polyethylene Insulated Polyolefin-Water Proof Sheathed Power Cable). The PD measurement system consists of a coupling network, a detection impedance, and a low noise amplifier. A 16 bit, 250 MS/s data acquisition system was used to analyze PD patterns. To simulate insulation defects in a power cable, a needle with the curvature radius of $10{\mu}m$ was inserted into the insulation part. We measured phase ($\Phi$), magnitude (q), and counts (n) of PD pulse for the defects, and classified PD patterns using the PRPD (phase Resolved Partial Discharge) method. From the analysis of acquired PD signals, we could find that a unique PD pattern is formed according to the types of defect.

유전체장벽방전 플라즈마에 의한 주요식중독세균의 살균 효과 (Antibacterial Activity of Dielectric Barrier Discharge Plasma against Main Food-borne Bacteria in Suspensions)

  • Dielectric barrier discharge (DBD) plasma is one of the promising next generation non-thermal technologies for food sterilization. The present study investigated the effects of DBD plasma on the reduction of most common food-borne pathogenic bacteria (Staphylococcus aureus, Bacillus cereus, Vibrio parahaemolyticus, Salmonella enterica) and sanitary indicative bacteria (Escherichia coli) in the suspension (initial inoculum of approx. 9 log CFU/mL). The bacterial counts were significantly (P<0.05) reduced with the increase in the treatment time (1-30 min) of DBD plasma in the suspension. The D-values (time for 90% reduction) of DBD plasma by first-order kinetics for S. aureus, B. cereus, V. parahaemolyticus, S. enterica, and E. coli were 17.76, 19.96, 32.89, 21.55, and 15.24 min, respectively (R2>0.90). These results specifically showed that 30 min of DBD plasma treatment in > 90% reduction of seafood-borne pathogenic and sanitary indicative bacteria. This suspension study may provide the basic data for use in seafood processing and distribution.

  • 자동차 점화장치는 전원으로부터 공급된 낮은 전압을 점화코일을 통하여 연소실의 혼합기를 연소시키기에 충분한 고전압을 발생시키는 장치이며, 점화장치의 핵심은 점화코일이다. 이 점화코일은 절연성능이 우수한 절연재료가 사용되지만 고전압의 발생으로 점화코일 내부에서 일어나는 전기적 열화로 인해 누설전류가 흐르게 되어 전기적 고장을 초래할 수 있다. 이로 인하여 절연재료의 수명은 단축되며, 또한 점화코일에 전류가 흐름으로써 코일 내부에서 발생하는 온도변화에 따른 절연열화로 점화코일의 성능이 저하될 수 있다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 점화코일에 사용되고 있는 절연재료에 전압이 인가될 때 발생할 수 있는 비파괴검사의 일종인 부분방전 측정을 통하여 전압변화에 따른 에폭시 성형 점화코일의 위상각($\Phi$) - 방전전하량(q) - 발생빈도수(n)의 특성 변화를 조사하고 분석함으로써 점화코일의 수명을 예측하여 자동차 점화장치의 성능진단과 정보제공을 자동차 전기장치의 발전에 도움이 될 것을 기대하며, 온도상승에 따른 점화코일의 부분방전 특성을 실험하고 분석하였다.

항암 화학요법을 받는 환자들에서의 중심정맥삽관술 (Central Venous Access for Chemoterapy in Patients with Malignant Disease)

  • From July 1990 to August 1992,78 Hickman catheters and 22 chemoports were inserted in 98 patients for chemotherapy.We analyzed the clinical data of these patients. The results were as follows: 1]Mean age of patients was 42.8$\pm$1.6[SE] years 2]Male to female ratio was 1.09:1 3]The diseases of the cases were leukemia[66] ,lymphoma[8], stomach cancer[8],uterine cervix cancer[5],ovarian cancer[4],lung cancer[3],aplastic anemia[2],maxillary gland cancer[1],pancreas cancer[1],malignant mesothelioma[1] and multiple myeloma[1] 4]Mean values of preoperative WBC counts,platelet counts,PT and APTT were 31,500$\pm$ 8,132[SE]/mm,104,000$\pm$ 12,200 [SE]/mm,82$\pm$ 1.9[SE]% and 32$\pm$ 0.8[SE] sec,respectively. 5]The average duration of catheter uses was 121.7$\pm$ 17.3[SE]days. 6]The complications were subcutaneous tunnel bleeding or hematoma[2],exit site or subcutaneous tunnel infection[2] and catheter related septicemia[1]. 7]The causes of catheter removal were patient`s death or hopeless discharge[22],completion of treatment[6],subcutaneus hematoma or bleeding[2],exit site or subcutaneous tunnel infection[2] and catheter related septicemia[1].So,we concluded that Hickman catheter and chemoport were useful vascular access for chemotherapy in patients with malignant diseases, with low rate of complication and longterm duration.

$SF_{6}$가스와 절연지의 절연계에서 가스압력에 따른 부분방전 현상(II) (Partial Discharge Phenomena with $SF_{6}$ Gas Pressures in Insulation Consisted of Insulation Paper and $SF_{6}$ Gas(II))

  • The $SF_{6}$ gas insulated power equipments have the insulation systems which are composed of $SF_{6}$ gas and insulation paper. It is repored that their insulation abilities are influenced by the $SF_{6}$ gas gaps in those insulation systems and gas pressures. This paper describes partial discharge phenomena with $SF_{6}$ gas pressures in insulation system of $SF_{6}$ gas-insulation paper Specimens of $SF_{6}$ gas-insulation paper were prepared and aramid paper was used as insulation paper. Partial discharge inception voltages(PDIV) and breakdown voltages for the existence of $SF_{6}$ gas gaps were measured by short term tests with gas pressures. Also, average PD quantities and pulse counts, life times of each specimens were calculated from the results of long term aging tests with gas pressures. It was found that the $SF_{6}$ gas gaps decrease increasing rates of PDIV and brealdown voltages according to gas pressure increase and the insulation breakdown caused by the smaller PD quantities than 1[pC] at the high gas pressure of 300kPa is due to the increase of energy density with increase of gas pressure.

SF6-N2 혼합가스 중 돌출 결함의 부분방전 특성 (Partial Discharge Characteristics on Protrusion Defects in SF6-N2 Mixture Gases)

  • Studies on a $SF_6$-mixture and -alternative gas has been in progress to reduce the use of $SF_6$ gas as an insulation material of GIS (gas insulated switchgears). In this paper, we dealt with PD (partial discharge) characteristics in pure $SF_6$ and $N_2$, and their mixtures on aspects of insulation design and risk assessment for GIS. A POC (protrusion on conductor) and a POE (protrusion on enclosure) as the major defects were fabricated to simulate PD. We analyzed the DIV (discharge inception voltage), DEV (discharge extinction voltage), pulse magnitude, counts and phase distribution of PD pulse in $SF_6-N_2$ mixtures ($SF_6$ 100%, $SF_6$ 80%-$N_2$ 20%, $SF_6$ 50%-$N_2$ 50%, $SF_6$ 20%-$N_2$ 80%, and $N_2$ 100%) according to the IEC60270. The DIV, DEV as well as magnitude of PD pulse decreased on the POC as increase of $N_2$ ratio. For the POE, the DIV and DEV in $N_2$ ratio below 50% were the same voltages as those in $SF_6$ 100%. In this experiment, $SF_6$ 80%-$N_2$ 20% mixture could be considered with the equivalent insulation performance to a GIS.

  • The study was carried out to investigate the pathogenicity of EHV isolate to hamsters and mice and immunogenicity of experimentally produced. vaccine were evaluated in the horses. Hamsters infected. intranasally with $LC_1$ isolate showed symptoms of nasal discharge, conjunctivitis and body weight loss during the observation period of 12 days after infection, while only slight depression and body weight loss were noticed with mice infected with $LC_1$ indicating that hamsters are more susceptible to the virus. Antibody titer of mice and hamsters were gradually increased to highest level of 1:2560~10240, 1:640~1280, respectively, at 7~12 days post vaccination. Horses immunized against $LC_1$ killed vaccine reached to maximum antibody titer of 1:20480 around 4 weeks after 1st vaccination and declined after 12 weeks post vaccination. No significant antibody increase were detected after 2nd vaccination. Mean body temperature and mean total leukocyte counts remained within normal range and no adverse reaction were noticed after vaccination.

코로나방전플라즈마제트를 이용한 생식용 곡류의 미생물 저감 (Microbial Inactivation of Grains Used in Saengshik by Corona Discharge Plasma Jet)

  • 생식제조에 사용되는 곡류의 미생물 오염을 저감하기 위하여 코로나방전플라즈마제트(CDPJ)를 사용하여 곡류 표면의 미생물을 살균을 시도하고, CDPJ 처리에 따른 곡류 품질변화 여부를 조사하였다. 곡류의 초기 오염도는 $1.7{\times}10^3-9.9{\times}10^5CFU/g$ 정도를 보였다. 곡류에 대한 CDPJ의 살균력은 1-1.5 A 범위에서 전류세기에 따라 증가하였으며, 토출거리 25 mm에서 가장 양호한 살균 효과를 나타냈다. 곡류 미생물의 CDPJ 살균패턴은 의사 1차반응 모델인 Singh-Heldman 모델에 부합하였고, 세균이 진균에 비해 더 민감한 살균효과를 보였다. 곡류별로는 백미가 가장 잘 살균되었고, 압맥, 현미 순으로 살균효과가 낮아졌다. 처리시간 10분 이하의 처리는 곡류의 TBA가에 영향을 주지 않아 CDPJ 처리는 생식제조용 곡류의 지방특성을 변화시키지 않고 미생물을 저감함으로써 생식의 위생 향상에 활용될 수 있을 것으로 기대된다.

훈제품 제조시 유출되는 Shrink를 이용하여 제조한 소시지의 품질 변화 (Changes in Quality of Sausage Processed with Shrink Discharge during Process of Smoke Meat Products)

  • This study was carried out to use the shrink discharged during process of smoke meat products. Qualities of sausage were grasped, and investigated storage properties during five weeks. The gel strength of pork sausage were 1,461~1,847g.cm, this of chicken sausage were 865~1,733g.cm. The cooking yield of sausage were 81~ 85% in general, contents of salt were 2.5~2.9%. The L value(lightness) of pork sausage were 44.8~47.2, those of chicken sausage were 43.1~48.0, and the L value of the interior was higher than the surface. The remainder contents of nitrite were 3.1~9.4ppm, the sorbic acid contents of all sausage were 0.8g/kg. The amino acid contents of chicken sausage were higher than those of pork sausage. The pH of sausage not changed uniformly during storage. The TBA value and the VBN contents were a slight tendency to increase during storage. The total plate counts of all sausage maintained 104 less than during storage.
