This paper describes an effort to develope a microcomputer-based parameter measurement system for a brushless DC motor. Back EMF equation is derived from back EMF waveform of a brushless DC motor. To minimize error the due to the ripple component in the measured armature current, digital averaging filter is employed. The whole identification process of signal generation, measurement parameter determination is fully automated. A new identification algorithm for the brushless DC motor parameters is developed. New parameter correction method is proposed using the deadzone current and the time to reach the peak current. In the proposed correction method, the measured current is in excellent agreement with the estimated current.
In order to generate the 3D structure of the 21-cm signal during the reionization, semi-numerical simulations based on Excursion set formalism are broadly used. However, semi-numerical simulations in the realization of the 3D structure are known to be the ionizing photon non-conserving by the structure of the Excursion set approach. Recently, explicit photon conserving algorithms for semi-numerical simulations introduced, but they are still too slow when forward modelling the 21-cm signal with high-dimensional parameter spaces. Here, we introduce a new method for approximately correcting photon non-conservation, which can be applied on-the-fly. This method is tailored towards the efficient simulation and Bayesian inference with high-dimensional parameter space. Then, we investigate how large an impact that photon non-conservation has on astrophysical parameter inference by performing an MCMC analysis. We find that the ionizing escape parameter is deviated from the fiducial value by 2 sigma when we infer astrophysical parameters without this correction.
The laser-arc hybrid welding of SS400 steel was carried out with the use of disk laser equipment of 6.6kW maximum power and MAG equipment of pulse mode. Parameter regarding heat input is one of the most important factors that directly affect penetration characteristics and welding defect. Therefore in this study, the effects of laser power, welding speed and current, voltage and pulse correction were investigated. As experiment result, it was found that the lower heat input, the more likely humping bead is formed at the back, and such humping bead could be suppressed by increasing laser power and arc current or decreasing welding speed, thus increasing heat input. Also deep penetration could be achieved by reducing arc voltage or pulse correction parameter in the same welding condition.

Sea Surface Temperature (SST) is the temperature close to the ocean's surface and affects the Earth's atmosphere as an important parameter for the climate circulation and change. The SST from satellite still has biases from the error in specifying retrieval coefficients from either forward modeling or instrumental biases. So in this paper, we performed sensitivity analysis using input parameter of the SST to notice that the SST is most affected among the input parameter. We used Infrared (IR) data from the Communication, Ocean, and Meteorological Satellite (COMS)/Meteorological Imager (MI) from April 2011 to March 2012. We also used the Global Space-based Inter-Calibration System (GSICS) correction to quality of the IR data from COMS. SST was calculated by substituting the input parameters; IR data with or without the GSICS correction. The results of this sensitivity analysis, the SST was sensitive from -0.0403 to 0.2743 K when the IR data were changed by the GSICS corrections.

The changing light condition of scene cause the luminance fluctuation of the captured image sequences. this artifact is called flicker, and would be easily recognized as visually unstable fluctuation. As the flicker degrades the performance of extracting useful information from image sequences, such as motion information or segmentation, it should be correction and linear flicker model. The algorithm model the flicker effects as a linear system with gain and offset parameter and estimates gain parameter with Gamma correction. The flicker reduction is performed by applying these parameters inversely th the ordinal sequences. To show the performance, we test out algorithm th the ground-truth sequences with the artificially added luminance fluctuation and real sequence with object motion.
The rifling angle of artillery is an important parameter, and its determination plays a key role in the stability, hit rate, accuracy and service life of artillery. In this study, we propose an optical measurement method for the rifling angle based on angle error correction. The method is based on the principle of geometrical optics imaging, where the rifling on the inner wall of the artillery barrel is imaged on a CCD camera target surface by an optical system. When the measurement system moves in the barrel, the rifling image rotates accordingly. According to the relationship between the rotation angle of the rifling image and the travel distance of the measurement system, different types of rifling equations are established. Solving equations of the rifling angle are deduced according to the definition of the rifling angle. Furthermore, we added an angle error correction function to the method that is based on the theory of dynamic optics. This function can measure and correct the angle error caused by the posture change of the measurement system. Thus, the rifling angle measurement accuracy is effectively improved. Finally, we simulated and analyzed the influence of parameter changes of the measurement system on rifling angle measurement accuracy. The simulation results show that the rifling angle measurement method has high measurement accuracy, and the method can be applied to different types of rifling angle measurements. The method provides the theoretical basis for the development of a high-precision rifling measurement system in the future.
Constantly enhancing positioning accuracy by the Global Positioning System (GPS) technique is of great importance, but challenging, especially after the GPS positioning technique has been improved considerably during the past two decades. The associated main error sources have been reduced substantially, if not eliminated. Troposhpeic influence with its highly temporal and spatial variability appears to be one of the major error sources. It is hence an increased interest among GPS researchers to reduce the tropospheric influence or delay. Two techniques have been commonly implemented to correct the tropospheric impact. The first technique, known as parameter estimation, characterizes the path delay with empirical models and the parameters of interest are determined from the GPS measurements. The second strategy, termed as external correction, involves independent path delay measurements. The present study is an integration of both techniques in which the parameter estimation as well as external correction are used to correct the path delay for $110{\sim}210$ km range baselines. Twenty-four parameters have been obtained in 24 hours solution by setting the cutoff angle at 3 and 15 degrees for parameter estimation strategy. Measurements from meteorological instruments and water vapor radiometer (WVR) are applied in the GPS data processing, separately, as an external strategy of present research work. Interesting results have been found, indicating more stable repeatability in baseline when the external correction strategy is applied especially with the inclusion of WVR observations. The offset of an order of 1 cm is found in the baselines determined by the two strategies. On the other hand, parameter estimation exhibits more stable in terms of GPS height repeatability. The offset in the GPS height determined by the two strategies is on the order of few centimeters.
A singular pertubation theory is applied to obtain an approximate solution for suboptimal control of nuclear reactors with spatially distributed parameters. The inverse of the neutron velocity is regarded as a small perturbing parameter, and the model, adopted for simplicity, is a cylindrically symmetrical reactor whose dynamics are described by the one group diffusion equation with one delayed neutron group. The Helmholtz mode expansion is used for the application of the optimal theory for lumped parameter systems to the spatially distributed parameter systems. An asymptotic expansion of the feedback gain matrix is obtained with construction of the boundary layer correction up to the first order.

A seismic survey for gas hydrate have performed over the East sea by the KIGAM since 1997. General indicator of gas hydrate in seismic data is commonly inferred from the BSR(Bottom Simulating Reflector) that occurred parallel to the sea floor, amplitude decrease at the top of the BSR, amplitude blanking at the bottom of the BSR, decrease of the interval velocity and the reflection phase reversal at the BSR. In this paper we had analyzed optimum parameters of the field data to detect the 9as hydrate. Shot delay correction is applied 95ms, spherical divergence correction is applied velocity library 3, bandpass filter is applied 25-30-115-120Hz deconvolution operator length is applied 60ms, lag is 6ms and accurate velocity analysis NMO correction, stack is performed. Geobit 2.11.0 developed by the KIGAM was used for all data processing. Processing results say that the BSR occurred parallel to the sea floor were shown at 3,150m/s of two way travel time from the sea floor through shot point 5,000-5,610, and identified the interval velocity decrease around BSR and the reflection phase reversal corresponding to the reflection at the sea floor.

This paper deals with a pole placement indirect adaptive control algorithm for discrete-time linear plants with arbitrary zeros. The resulting closed-loop control system is shown to be globally stable subject to the assumptions that an external input is persistently exciting and a lower bound on the magnitude of the Sylvester resultant of the plant numerator and denominator polynomials is known. The problem of controllability of the plant estimate in indirect adaptive control is handled by using an extended parameter correction. The validity of the proposed control algorithm is assured through simulation for a second-order plant.
