  • In this thesis, in order to apply a punctured convolutional codes to the trellis coded modulation(TCM), an efficient punctured trellis coded modulation(PTCM) based on the decomposition of the metric into orthogonal components is presented. Also, a simulation is performed in an additive white Gaussian noise(AWGN) and a rician fading channel modeling the mobile satellite channel. The PTCM combines punctured convolutional coding with MPSK modulation to provide a large coding gain in a power-limited or bandwidth-limited channel. However, in general the use of the punctured convolutional code structure in the decoder results in a performance loss in comparison to trellis codes, due to difficulties in assigning metrics. But, the study shows no loss in performance for punctured trellis coded MPSK in comparison to TCM, and what is more, the punctured convolutional codes results in some savings in the complexity of Viterbi decoders, compared to TCM of the same rate. Also, the results shows that the punctured trellis coded .pi./8 shift 8PSK is an attractive scheme for power-limited and band-limited systems and especially, the Viterbi decoder with first and Lth phase difference metrics improves BER performance by the mobile satellite channel.

  • Sensor networks are deployed with a limited energy source. Thus, energy efficient design can be challenging. This paper has been studied optimal packet length with energy efficiency for sensor networks. And using Power Management can not improve energy efficiency. Power Management is turning off transceiver when transceiver is idle statue. We show that BCH code for error control can improve energy efficiency better than Convolutional code.

  • In this paper we apply block turbo coding at the transmitter and iterative decoding algorithm at the receiver for different operating modes, based on the 5 ㎓ IEEE 802.1 la WLAN system, instead of convolutional coding and soft decision viterbi algorithm to improve forward error correcting performance. Experimental results showed that each coding scheme outperforms coding gains of up to 3.5 ㏈ at the BER of 10$\^$-3/.

  • We propose the efficient channel coding method combined with a 2.4kbps speech coder. The code rate of a channel coder is given by 1/2 and 1/2 rate convolutional coder is obtained from the punctured convolutional coder with rate of 1/3. The punctured convolutional coder is used for a variable rate allocation. The puncturing method according to the importance of the output data of the source encoder is applied for the convolutional coder. The importance of output data is analyzed by evaluating the bit error sensitivity of speech parameter bits. The performance of proposed coder is analyzed and simulated in Rayleigh fading channel and AWGN channel. The experimental results with 2.4kbps EHSX coder show that the variable rate channel coding method is superior to non-variable channel coding method from the subjective speech quality.

  • This paper suggests and analyzes the Serially Concatenated Space-Time Code(SCSTC) with the possibility of a efficient high-speed transmission in a band limited channel. The suggested code has a structure that uses the interleaver to connect the space-time code as an inner code and the convolutional code as a outer code serially. This code keeps the advantage of high-speed transmission and also has the high BER performance. The performance of the suggested system is compared with the conventional bandwidth efficient trellis coded modulation, such as a Serially Concatenated Trellis Coded Modulation (SCTCM) and a Turbo-Trellis Coded Modulation(Turbo-TCM). The results show that the suggested system has a 2.8dB and 3dB better BER performance than SCTCM and Turbo-TCM respectively in case of the transmission rate 2b/s/Hz in fading channel.

  • In this paper, we propose a concatenated single antenna diversity system to assure the data transmission reliability between flight type air nodes which move according to their atypical orbit, then analyze its performance. The proposed system achieve a diversity gain using single antenna and a coding gain from convolutional code simultaneously. Simulation result about the bit error rate(BER) of the proposed system shows that its BER performance is about 9.5dB greater than convolutional code at $10^{-4}$ and about 14dB greater than space time block code at $10^{-3}$ which has a full diversity gain. In addition, compared with space time trellis code with diversity gain and coding gain, the proposed system shows the better 4dB at a BER of $10^{-5}$. Therefore, it is necessary that concatenated single antenna diversity should be adopted to the reliable data transmission of flight type air nodes.

  • In the partial-band interference and Rayleigh fading environments, the bit error probability equation of FH/MFSK signal has been derived and the error rate has been evaluated. And the results are shown in graphs and discussed. Here, to improve the error rate performance the repeated diversity and the error-correction coding techniques are adopted. The degree of improvement of error rate performance has been found out in diversity and coding techniques respectively. In diversity case, repetition number is taken as a parameter and in coding case, as the error-correction codes Hamming code, BCH code, and convolutional code are introduced. From the obtained results, we have known that the increase of the number of repetition in diversity technique has been brought a little improvement of performance but the coding technique considerable improvement and in particular, convolutional code is very effective. Therefore, coding technique is considered to be better than repeated diversity to cope with Rayleigh fading and partial-band interference.

  • Recently, Internet technology has developed, various programs are being created and therefore various codes are being made through many authors. On this aspect, some author deceive a program or code written by other particular author as they make it themselves and use other writers' code indiscriminately, or not indicating the exact code which has been used. Due to this makes it more and more difficult to protect the code. In this paper, we propose author identification framework using Authorship Analysis theory and Natural Language Processing(NLP) based on Convolutional Neural Network(CNN). We apply Authorship Analysis theory to extract features for author identification in the source code, and combine them with the features being used text mining to perform author identification using machine learning. In addition, applying CNN based natural language processing method to source code for code author classification. Therefore, we propose a framework for the identification of authors using the Authorship Analysis theory and the CNN. In order to identify the author, we need special features for identifying the authors only, and the NLP method based on the CNN is able to apply language with a special system such as source code and identify the author. identification accuracy based on Authorship Analysis theory is 95.1% and identification accuracy applied to CNN is 98%.

  • In this paper, we investigate the error performance of a serially concatenated system using a nonrecursive convolutional code as the outer code and a recursive QPSK space-time trellis code as the inner code on quasi-static and rapid Rayleigh fading channels. At the receiver, we consider iterative decoding based on the maximum a posteriori (MAP) algorithm. The performance is evaluated by means of computer simulations and it is shown that better error performance can be obtained by using low complexity outer and/or inner codes and the Euclidean distance criterion based recursive space-time inner codes. We also obtain new systems with large number of trasmit and/or receive antennas providing good error performance.
