Data Structure of a Program Generation and Managing Track Data for Smart Train Route Control (Smart열차진로제어를 위한 선로데이터 생성관리프로그램의 데이터 구조)

  • Even though the existing train route controlling method, using track circuits, ensures the sufficient number of operation, it still has problems such as discordance between train numbers which was planned for operating and train numbers being operated on the track, and allowing only one train entering for one route. To solve those problems, we study and develop the Smart train route controlling system which uses the real-time informations of train positions. This system enables improve the coefficient of utilization in a certain train route controlling section, and the safety level of train route controlling, but we should ensure satisfying reliability of data about tracks operated by trains. In addition, there is a need to protect accidents caused by erroneous information of train position, by reflecting changes of tracks, for example maintenance, improvement, expansion of tracks. In this paper, we describes data structure of a developed program which required to change CAD files to wiring diagrams and to generate them to data of tracks. And we show the result that the simulator, using the data structure, controls speed and route of trains without problems.

  • Difficulties in riding, driving and parking are a common issue which inevitably appears in city urbanization and city modernization development all over the world. However, those cities differ in controlling the traffic. According to the specific practice in Shanghai, this article presents the various factors which affect the traffic capacity and the operation quality. This article also outlines transportation system management technique of overall coordination and comprehensive control in the following seven aspects: controlling traffic motivation; improving traffic distribution; reasonably and scientifically selecting travel mode, travel route and travel time; reinforcing traffic management and road construction. The article finally suggests that above mentioned points are cost-effective ways of handling traffic plight for metropolitan transport.

  • Objectives : The repeatability and reproducibility of MIR-2, a newly developed impedance measurement device (four electrode method) on skin are of the meridian system, is evaluated and a method to improve the reliability is discussed. Methods : Multiple gage R&R studies were conducted for the impedance measurements over bilateral KI3 acupoint in ten participants by three assessors using MIR-2 device. Gage R&R studies were repeated after controlling the acupoint locating method or one value correction by replacing one assessor's outlying value with an average of the other assessors' values to explore any feasibility of improvement of measurement reliability. Results : Controlling acupoint locating method and replacing one value with an average of other assessors' value led to improved variation metrics in a gage R&R study. Conclusions : Measurement reliability can be improved by controlling measurement procedures or by using repeated measurement method, which will facilitate development of clinically applicable measurement device with reliability.

  • This paper presents that the electronic controller is developed for controlling the setting temperature and water in the ceramic pipe system. The heating water system is designed for controlling the temperature to supply the heat through the ceramic pipe heater to input the water, also for controlling quantity of water using the water sensor and impeller. The control method of the heating water system is applied the mathematic modeling of the ceramic pipe heater on the suppling the heat at coming water, and the test result of the electronic controller is present to smartly control the setting temperature, therefore the ceramic pipe heater is proposed to be able to apply the heating structure and the control methods as a product.

  • AFLS (Adaptive front lighting System) is being applied to improve safety in driving automotive at night. Safe embedded system for controlling head-lamp has to be tightly designed by considering safety requirement of hardware-dependent software, which is embedded in automotive ECU(Electronic Control Unit) hardware under severe environmental noise. In this paper, we propose an adaptive headlight controller with newly-designed symmetric angle sensor compensator, which is integrated with ECU-based adaptive front light system. The proposed system, on which additional backup hardware and emergency control algorithm are integrated, effectively detects abnormal situation and restore safe status of controlling the light-angle in AFLS operations by comparing result in symmetric angle sensor. The controlled angle value is traced into internal memory in runtime and will be continuously compared with the pre-defined lookup table (LUT) with symmetric angle value, which is used in normal operation. The watch-dog concept, which is based on using angle sensor and control-value tracer, enables quick response to restore safe light-controlling state by performing the backup sequence in emergency situation.

  • we studied a data acquisition and control system of a wind turbine for measuring and controlling a voltage fluctuations of a wind turbine system. The wind turbine system is installed out control area. So, it is so important for supervising to wind turbine of a maintenance, wind speed, optical resources wind turbine output, wind speed, wind direction, over voltage of a generator. This system can be supplied a data of over voltage, under voltage, voltage fluctuations of a wind turbine for controlling an EMS : Energy Management System or a SCADA : Supervision Control and Data Acquisition at a constitute of a wind farm. The of voltage fluctuation system of a wind turbine is improving an electric power supply power quality of a distribution line and unspecified individuals of used wind turbine.

  • In this paper, we present the PID control method for the controlling flow rate of highly complicated nonlinear Left Ventricular Assist Device(LVAD) with pneumatically driven mock circulatory system. Beat Rate (BR), Systole-Diastole Rate (SDR) and flow rate are used as the main variables of the LVAD system. System modeling is completed using the neural network with input variables (BR, SDR, their derivatives, actual flow) and an output valiable(actual flow). Then, as the basis of this model, we perform the simulation of PID control to predict the performance and tendency of the system and control the flow rate of LVAD system using the PID controller. The ability and effectiveness of identifying and controlling a LVAD system using the proposed algorithm will be demonstrated through computer simulation and experiments.

  • The micro robot soccer playing system is introduced. Studying and learning, evolving in artificial agents are very difficult problem, but on the other hand we think more powerfully challenging task. In our laboratory, this soccer-system studies mainly centered on single agent learning problem. The construction of such experimental system has involved lots of kinds of challenges such as robot designing, vision processing, motion controlling. At last we will give some results showing that the proposed approach is feasible to guide the design of common agents system.

  • For controlling micro-flows inside a LOC (lab-on-a-chip) a syringe pump or an electronic device for EOF(electro-osmotic flow) have been used in general. However, these devices are so large and heavy that they are burdensome in the development of a portable micro-TAS (total analysis system). In this study, a new flow control system employing pressure chambers, digital switches and speed controllers was developed. This system could effectively control the micro-scale flows inside a LOC without any mechanical actuators or electronic devices We also checked the feasibility of this new control system by applying it to a LOC of micro-mixer type. Performance tests show that the developed control system has very good performance. Because the flow rate in LOC is controlled easily by throttling the speed controller, the flows in complicate microchannels network can be also controlled precisely.

  • The research focuses on controlling a gap to measure the surface defect in semi-conductor fabrication device. The measurement is available accompanying a near field image gap control. In this article, a pneumatic servo system is adopted for the near field gap control. The advantage of the pneumatic servo system is on the preventing the possibility of contacting the device to the wapper surface, fence arising fatal damage. Furthermore, the air from the pneumatic system blows the some particle on the wapper during controlling. The target gap is less than 20 $\mu$m and the gap should keep same amount while the device moves around the surface. The experiment by the pneumatic servo control system is done by employing a simple PID control, and the tracking performance is remarkably verified.
