감자역병 예측모델을 위한 맞춤통보용 방제모듈 개발에 대한 고찰 (Development of customized control modules for the model forecasting the occurrence of potato late blight)

  • Potato late blight occurrence is caused by various environmental factors, and the progress can be regularly predicted so that several predictive models have been developed. The models predict the timing of the disease occurrence, but they do not include the methods of the disease control. Effective fungicide control, economic threshold, prediction models were investigated in the study to reflect on customized control modules for the model forecasting the occurrence of potato late blight.

ATM 교환기 과부하제어 연구 (A study on the overload control of the ATM switching system)

  • In this paper, a new overload control scheme is proposed for a control system in ATM switching system. The proposed control scheme includes a counter that conunts the number of accepted calls and is decreased at cach D time interval. In overload condition of call processor, the control scheme detects over load condition when the counter value reaches a certain threshold value. Under overload condition, processor utilization is measured and the value of the D is updataed according to the difference between measured processor utilization and target utilization. A new call is accepted accepted only if the value of the counter is less than the threshold value. In overflow condition of cell traffic, accept probability of new call is reduced exponetially according to the elapsed time. The results of simulation show that the proposed overload contorl scheme maintains the target utilization very well under the various processor overload conditions and reduces the cell loss probability under the cell overflow conditions.

  • In this study, nanocomposite layer composed of PMMA-co-MMA and $TiO_2$ was prepared by sol-gel process using TTIP as a precursor and was utilized as a gate insulator of OTFTs. The composite insulator provides the lower threshold voltage and the enhanced sub threshold slope of OTFTs mainly due to its higher dielectric constant than that of the bare PMMA-co-MMA. Consequently, it is demonstrated that the sol-gel process can open an interesting direction for the fabrication of high-performance OTFTs, and contribute for OTFTs to be feasible for real applications.

  • ${\overline{X}}$ control chart has proven to be an effective tool to improve the product quality. Shewhart charts assume that the observations are independent and normally distributed. Under the presence of positive autocorrelation and severe skewness, the control limits are not accurate because assumptions are violated- Autocorrelation in process measurements results in frequent false alarms when standard control chats are applied in process monitoring. In this paper, Threshold Bootstrap and Moving Block Bootstrap are used for constructing a confidence interval of correlated observations. Monte Carlo simulation studies are conducted to compare the performance of the bootstrap methods and that of standard method for constructing control charts under several conditions.

  • This paper presents an anti-lock braking system for commercial vehicles with pneumatic brake system by using slip ratio. By virtue of system reliability, most commercial vehicles adopt pneumatic brake system. However, pneumatic brake systems control is more difficult than hydraulic systems due to a longer time delay and the system nonlinearity. One of the major factors in generating braking forces is the wheel slip ratio. Accordingly, the proposed ABS strategy employs the slip ratio threshold-based valve on/off control. This threshold-based algorithm is simple but effective to control the pneumatic brake systems. The control performance of the proposed algorithm has been validated via simulation studies using MATLAB/Simulink and Trucksim. The results show ABS by using slip ratio reduces the braking distance and improves vehicle control.

음성 트래픽을 위한 동적우선권제어방식의 성능분석 (Performance Analysis of a Dynamic Priority Control Scheme for Delay-Sensitive Traffic)

  • 음성의 특성은 지연에 매우 민감한 (delay-sensitive) 트래픽으로 시스템에서 손실에 민감한 (loss-sensitive) 다른 트래픽과 동일한 방식으로 서비스되어서는 두 트래픽 모두의 QoS (Quality of Service)를 만족시킬 수 없다. 효율적인 트래픽의 처리를 위해서는 시스템의 상태에 따라 손실에 민감한 트래픽에 영향을 적게 주면서 지연민감 트래픽의 성능도 만족하는 것이 바람직하다. 본 논문에서 도입한 동적우선권제어함수 (Dynamic Priority Control Function, DPCF)는 시스템의 상태에 따라 각 트래픽에 우선권을 동적으로 할당하여 서비스 스케줄링을 제어하는 함수f(·)로 기존의 우선권 제어방식을 더욱 일반화시킨 방식이다. 클래스 1의 손실민감 트래픽과 음성과 같은 클래스 2의 지연민감 트래픽을 수용하는 시스템에 TBPJ (Threshold-based Bernoulli Priority Jump) 방식의 DPCF을 적용하여 성능을 분석하였다. DPCF은 각 시스템에 대기하고 있는 트래픽의 양과 시스템의 가용 용량인 버퍼의 threshold에 따라 각 트래픽 클래스에 우선권을 동적으로 할당하여 서비스가 이루어지도록 한다. 성능분석을 통하여 TBPJ 제어방식이 기존의 우선권 제어 방식보다 성능 및 효율성에 있어서 우수함을 입증하였다. 즉 성능을 분석한 결과 손실민감 트래픽의 성능저하는 미미하고 지연민감 트래픽의 성능향상은 현저히 개선된 것을 확인하였다.

ATM 스위치에서 폐기 임계치를 가진 셀전송비율 제어형 우선순위 제어방식의 성능 분석 (Performance analysis of priority control mechanism with cell transfer ratio and discard threshold in ATM switch)

  • ATM switch handles the traffic for a wide range of appliations with different QOS(Quality-of-Service) requirements. In ATM switch, the priority control mechanism is needed to improve effectively the required QOS requirements. In this paper, we propose a priority control mechanism using the cell transfer ratio type and discard threshold in order to archive the cell loss probability requirement and the delay requirement of each service class. The service classes of our concern are the service class with high time priority(class 1) and the service class with high loss priority control mechanism, cells for two kind of service classes are stored and processed within one buffer. In case cells are stored in the buffer, cells for class 2 are allocated in the stored and processed within one buffer. In case cells are stored in the buffer, cells for class 2 are allocated in the shole range of the buffer and cells for class 1 are allocated up to discard threshold of the buffer. In case cells in the buffer are transmitted, one cell for class 1 is transmitted whenever the maximum K cells for class 2 are transmitted consecutively. We analyze the time delay and the loss probability for each class of traffic using Markov chain. The results show that the characteristics of the mean cell delay about cells for class 1 becomes better and that of the cell loss probability about cells for class 2 becomes better by selecting properly discard threshold of the buffer and the cell transfer ratio according to the condition of input traffic.

동적우선권제어함수 기반 TBPJ 트래픽 제어방식의 성능분석 (Performance Analysis of Threshold-based Bernoulli Priority Jump Traffic Control Scheme)

  • 본 논문에서는 다양한 트래픽을 수용해야 하는 차세대 인터넷에서 핵심적인 기능을 담당하는 고속 패킷스위치를 위한 동적우선권제어함수(Dynamic Priority Control Function)이 개념을 도입하고 TBPJ(Threshold-based Bernoulli Priority Jump) 방식에 대한 성능분석을 하였다. 동적우선권제어함수(Dynamic Priority Control Function)는 시스템의 상태에 따라 각 트래픽에 우선권을 동적으로 할당하여 패킷의 스케쥴링(scheduling)을 제어하는 함수 f(.)이다. 클래스 1의 손실민감(loss-sensitive) 트래픽과 클래스 2의 지연민감(delay-sensitive) 트래픽이 고속 패킷스위치의 모든 입력포트에 동일하게 입력되고 스위칭속도(switching capacity)가 m인 $N\timesN$용량의 고속 패킷스위치에 TBPJ 방식의 DPCF 함수를 적용하여 성능을 분석하였다. 이때 스위치는 유한한 크기의 입력 버퍼와 무한크기의 출력버퍼로 구성되어 있고 슬롯 단위로 동기방식(synchronous)으로 동작한다고 가정하였다. TBPJ 방식은 각 입력버퍼에 대기하고 있는 현재 트래픽의 양과 시스템 버퍼의 문턱값(threshold)에 따라 서비스 순위를 동적으로 할당하여 효율적인 스케쥴링이 이루어지도록 한다. 성능분석을 통하여 TBPJ 제어방식이 기존의 우선권 제어 방식보다 성능 및 효율성에 있어서 우수함을 입증하였다. 즉 TBPJ 방식을 적용하여 성능을 분석한 결과 손실민감 트래픽의 QoS(Quality of Service)를 만족시키기 위하여 패킷스위치를 스위치플랜으로 구현하는 경우 병렬로 (즉 m=2) 구성하면 충분하다는 것을 확인하였다.

산모와 건강한 미산부 및 남자의 압통 역치 비교에 관한 연구 (Compare Maternal Pressure Pain Threshold and which of Healthy non Delivered Women and Men)

  • Purpose: This study was conducted for evaluating whether the postpartum women has lower threshold than healthy non delivered women and men. Methods: We divided the groups by three. Group I is consist of postpartum women who have delivered within 7days. Group II is nonparous women, and the Group III is consist of men. Pain threshold in 6 specific points was measured using the digital algometer from each groups. Results: Pain threshold was obviously higher in Group III than Group I, II, And group II’s threshold was significantly higher than group I’s Conclusion: This study shows the postpartum women had lower pressure pain threshold than non delivered women and men. So clinicians should consider the physiologic and psychologic aspects for the pain control if they meet postpartum women.

Optimal Inflation Threshold and Economic Growth: Ordinal Regression Model Analysis

  • The study investigates the relationship between the inflation rate and economic growth to find out the optimal inflation threshold for economic growth. Therefore, this study applied an ordinary least square model (OLS) and the ordinal regression model, and collected the time-series data from 1996 to 2017 to test the relationship between inflation and economic growth in the short-term and long-term. The sample fits the model and is statistically significant. The study showed that 96.6% of correlation between inflation rate and economic growth are close and 4.5% of optimal inflation threshold is appropriate for economic growth. It finds that the optimal inflation threshold is base to perform economic growth, besides the inflation rate is positively related to economic growth. The results support the monetary policy appropriately. This study identifies issues for Government to consider: have a comprehensive solution among macroeconomic policies, monetary policy, fiscal policy and other policies to control and maintain the inflation and stimulate growth; have appropriate policies to regulate inflation to stimulate economic growth over the long term; set a priority goal for sustainable economic growth; not pursue economic growth by maintaining the inflation rate in the long term, but take appropriate measures to stabilize the inflation at the optimal inflation threshold.
