  • The goal of this research is to deduce the robust design of mold oscillator of the continuous casting machine. In the case of the system operated in the high temperature condition, the structural problems caused by the heat are dominant. Therefore, the thermal stress is considered with the connection of the thermal and structural analyses. The cooling ability of the water jacket was estimated and the robustness of mold oscillator was judged with the displacement and stress distributions obtained by the finite element method. The analytic results were compared with the real values of the iron mill.

  • Recently, with the proliferation of smart phones and mobile devices and the increase in the speed of mobile Internet, IT services are increasingly used in smart phones and mobile devices in a different way from the past. That is, a cloud service that downloads and uses data stored in the server in real time is expanding, and as a result, the security due to the continuous Internet connection of the user becomes a problem. In this study, we analyzed the relationship between factors affecting the continuous use of personal cloud service by using technology acceptance model. In addition to the technology acceptance model, confidentiality, privacy, accessibility, innovation, and self-efficacy were extracted from the existing research with emphasis on the characteristics of the cloud service and security factors. Moreover, the difference of intention to use among genders was verified through structural equation modeling with survey data from 262 personal cloud service users.

콘크리트 슬래브 궤도의 3차원 거동해석 (3- D Analysis of Concrete Slab Track System)

  • In this study, three dimensional FE analysis of concrete slab track has been performed in order to develop the realistic design of precast concrete slab track. The precast slab track system including the precast concrete slab panel and the grout layer is modeled using the three dimensional solid element with crack softening effect. The input load is computed from the one dimensional beam element model constituting the rail and several discrete springs. To investigate the effect of the longitudinal connection of slab panels, two different systems-continuous and discrete systems - are modeled. The analytical results show that the stresses of both the slab panel and the grout layer are in the range of linear elastic, and, at the interface between two adjacent panels, the primary stresses of the grout layer of the discrete system are higher than those of the continuous system. However, The overall stress levels of the grout layer are very low relative to the strength of th grout.

Barycentric Approximator for Reinforcement Learning Control

  • Recently, various experiments to apply reinforcement learning method to the self-learning intelligent control of continuous dynamic system have been reported in the machine learning related research community. The reports have produced mixed results of some successes and some failures, and show that the success of reinforcement learning method in application to the intelligent control of continuous control systems depends on the ability to combine proper function approximation method with temporal difference methods such as Q-learning and value iteration. One of the difficulties in using function approximation method in connection with temporal difference method is the absence of guarantee for the convergence of the algorithm. This paper provides a proof of convergence of a particular function approximation method based on \"barycentric interpolator\" which is known to be computationally more efficient than multilinear interpolation .

  • 자기결합을 갖고 결합하중치가 비대칭인 순환결합형 뉴럴네트워크는 복수 개의 리미트사이클이 기억 가능하다는 것이 알려져 있다. 현재까지 이산시간 모델의 네트워크에 대한 상태천이 해석은 상세하게 이루어져 왔다. 그러나 연속시간모델에 대한 해석은 네트워크 규모의 증가에 따른 급격한 계산량의 증가 때문에 연구가 그다지 활발하게 이루어지지 않고 있다. 본 논문에서는 연속시간모델 뉴럴네트워크에 대한 상태천이를 조사하여 이산시간 모델에서 기억가능한 리미트사이클과의 차이점을 분석한다. 또한 연속시간 네트워크 모델에 카오스 신호를 인가하여 리미트사이클간의 천이를 제어할 수 있는 가능성을 분석하여 동적정보처리에의 네트워크 응용가능성을 검토한다.

함수의 연속 개념 이해에 대한 연구 (A study on understanding of continuity concept of function)

  • Most of calculus and real analysis are concerned with the study on continuous functions. Because of self-sustaining concept caused by everyday language, continuity has difficulties. This kind of viewpoint is strengthened with that teacher explains continuity by graph drawn ceaselessly and so finally confused with mathematics concept which is continuity and connection. Thus such a concept image of continuity becomes to include components which create conflicts. Therefore, we try to analyze understanding of continuity on university students by using the concept image as an analytic tool. We survey centering on problems which create conflicts with concept definition and image. And we investigate that difference of definition in continuous function which handles in calculus and analysis exists and so try to present various results on university students' understanding of continuity concept.

  • 본 논문에서는 멀티미디어 어플리케이션의 핵심인 오디오나 비디오와 같은 연속 미디어에서 hiccup의 발생을 최소화시키기 위한 기존의 연속 디스플레이, replication, request migration을 소개하고, 슬롯 예약 알고리즘과 완전 연결 버퍼링 알고리즘을 제안하였다. 제안한 두 알고리즘은 기존의 partial replication과 request migration에서 일어나는 hiccup 발생과, startup latency를 슬롯 예약과 디스크와 버퍼간의 완전 연결을 이용하여 최소화하였다. 향후 제안된 알고리즘은 구체적인 통계적 모델을 제시하여 다양한 재생 요구 빈도수에 따른 검증이 필요하다.

  • There is a deep and useful connection between thermodynamics (the behavior of systems with many degrees of freedom in thermal equilibrium at a finite temperature) and combinational or continuous optimization (finding the minimum of a given multiparameter function). At the heart of the method of simulated annealing is an analogy with the way that liquids freeze and crystallize, or metals cool and anneal. This paper provides a detailed description of simulated annealing. Although computationaly intensive, when it is carefully implemented, simulated annealing is found to give superior results to more traditional methods of nonlinear optimization.

An Optimality Criterion for Median-unbiased Estimators

  • Sung [1990] presented an analogue of the classical Cramer-Rao inequality for median-unbiased estimators with continuous multivariate densities depending upon a vector parameter. In the process, diffusivity, a new dispersion measure relevant to median-unbiased estimators, was defined to be a function of median-unbiased estimator's density height. In this paper we shall elaborate these ideas by defining a second kind of diffusivity and discuss the role of model-unbiasedness in median-unbiased estimation in connection with this seconde kind of diffusivity. In addition, median-unbiased estimation will be compared to mean-unbiased estimation.
