4D models help construction planners to develop and evaluate construction plans. However, current analyses using 4D models are mainly visual and limit the quantitative comparison of construction alternatives. This paper explores the usefulness of extracting quantitative information from 4D models to support time-space analyses. We use two 4D models of an industry test case to illustrate how to analyze 4D content quantitatively (i.e., work space areas and distances between concurrent activities). This paper shows how these two types of 4D content can be extracted from 4D models to support 4D-based-analysis and novel presentation of construction planning information. We suggest further research to formalize the content of 4D models to enable comparative quantitative analyses of construction planning alternatives. Formalized 4D content will enable the development of reasoning mechanisms that automate 4D-model-based analyses and provide the information content for informative presentations of construction planning information.
In order to make economic and geological evaluation of coal in Korea, proximate and ultimate analyses were carried out as well as coal petrological studies such as maceral analyses, vitrinite reflectance and sporinite fluorescence measurement. The coeffcient of correlation between each factor of both conventional utilization and coal petrological parameters were studied as in Table 5 and 6. Their conclusions were as follow: (1) for anthracite, the good parameters of coal rank are mean vitrinite reflectance, carbon content, hydrogen content and H/C atomic ratio: (2) for brown coal and sub-bituminous coal, the good parameters of coal rank are carbon content, calorific value, moisture content, hydrogen content, oxygen content and O/C atomic ratio as well as vitrinite reflectance and sporinite fluorescence. An attempt is made to infer the coalforming environment by utilization of coal petrological analyses and to make comparison of coal analyses with proximate and ultimate analyses throughout the island arc region including Japan, Philippine and Indonesia and continental region including USA, Canada and Australia. As a result, meceral composition of Paleozoic and Mesozoic anthracite are similar to that of the Paleozoic continental coals, which were formed under dry conditions or low water table, but the coalification degree suddenly increased during Daebo orogeny (middle Jurassic to lower Cretaceous). The Tertiary coal resembles those of Tertiary island arc region coal characterized by higher calorific value, volatile matter content and H/C atomic ratio and by the formation of coal under wet conditions or higher water table.
The daily soil water contents were obtained from the time domain reflectometry(TDR) method and energy balance-water budget approach with eddy correlation at the two small semiarid watersheds of Lucky Hills and Kendall during the summer rainy period. There was a comaprison of daily soil water content measured and estimated from these two different approaches. The comparison is valuable to evaluate the accuracy of current soil water content measuring system using TDR and energy balance-water budget approach using eddy correlation method at a small watershed scale. The degree of simiarity between the regressions of these two methods of measuring soil water content was explained by determining the correlations between these methods. Simple linear regression analyses showed that soil water content measured from TDR method was responsible for 58% and 63% of the variations estimated from energy balance-water budget approach with edy correlation at Lucky Hills and Kendall, respectively. The scatter plots and the regression analyses revealed that two different approaches for soil water content measurement at a small watershed scale have no significant difference.

The aim of present research was to know Cd availability. As a first report of this work, we present some results of analysing soil Cd and Cu contents on a part of Burgundy in France. Soil samples were collected from surface-ploughed layer in fields across the southern part of the Yonne district, Burgundy, France. From the first extractable Cd content on a ratio (soil : EDTA =1:10), the soil Cd values on Carixien soil series decreased to a-third or to a-fourth of those Cd values on a lower ratio (soil : EDTA = 15). While the extractable Cd of the soil samples on Sols marron soil series decreased in a smaller extent. The changes of mixing ratio from 150 (soil : EDTA) to 1:10 and to 1:5 (soil : EDTA) had decreased the extractable Cu contents. But the range of the decrease was not so large as that of Cd contents. Soils on some soil series were a half (Carixien) or two-thirds level (Dombrien, Aubes) when comparing the extractable Cu content on 1:5 ratio to the content on 150 ratio. The absorbance for Cu analyses of soils on Carixien, Terres noires, Sols marron soil series varied in larger extent (expressed on standard deviation for 6 values) than that of soils on Dombrien, Aubes soil series.

This study analyzed content on sustainable development in the middle school science curriculum of 2007-Revised. Analyses criteria were developed based on literature reviews. The analyses showed that among 25 units, nine of them dealt with the topics and issues on sustainable development. However, the content had too much partiality for biology and earth science, lacking integration with other areas of science. Results of this study suggest the need for developing systemized teaching material on sustainable development that can be incorporated in the science curriculum by pursuing the following tasks: First, the educational goal of sustainable development and its need should be mentioned in the science curriculum. Second, the class content, themes, objectives, teaching-earning programs on sustainable development should be formulated. Third, within the science curriculum, the content should deal with topics beyond natural or environmental issues, to issues such as economical and socio-political so as to bring better understanding of the concepts related to sustainable development.
This study analyzed content on education for sustainable development in middle school science curriculum of $6^{th}$, $7^{th}$, 2007-revised and 2009-revised. Analyses criteria were developed based on literature reviews. This study developed 8 criteria such as health, climate change, urbanization and rural development, water, biodiversity and ecosystem, energy, disaster reduction and management. The results showed that 6th middle school science curriculum has 4 criteria, $7^{th}$ has 2 criteria, 2007-revised has 8 criteria, and 2009-revised has 7 criteria. This study suggests the need for developing systemized teaching material on education for sustainable development that can be integrated in the science curriculum by pursuing the following tasks: First, the goal of education for sustainable development and its need should be stated in the science curriculum. Second, the class content, themes, objectives, teaching-learning programs on education for sustainable development should be produced. Third, within science curriculum, the content should deal with perspectives and topics, and learning goal must pursue value education.

This study was intended to point out the limit of existing digital content-centered studies, or approaches from the viewpoint of the supplier and in the aspect of business profit model and find ways to assess the quality of digital content, considering the characteristics of digital content. For this, the study is to apply value innovation strategy to digital content assessment, to analyze the applicability, and to propose a new and practical framework for digital content assessment method. To this end, this study selected the global No. 1 search service provider Google and local portal site Naver search service. The study on assessment factors by value innovation strategy was based on existing literature, while user-value elements in that respect were confined to information quality, interactivity, communication, interactive storytelling, and usability. This study objectified the relation with the value innovation strategic analysis, through qualitative and quantitative analyses on value elements of search service users.

The fast progress on multimedia data acquisition technologies has enabled collecting vast amount of videos in real time. Although the amount of information gathered from these videos could be high in terms of quantity and quality, the use of the collected data is very limited typically by human-centric monitoring systems. In this paper, we propose a framework for analyzing long traffic video using series of content-based analyses tools. Our framework suggests a method to integrate theses analyses tools to extract highly informative features specific to a traffic video analysis. Our analytical framework provides (1) re-sampling tools for efficient and precise analysis, (2) foreground extraction methods for unbiased traffic flow analysis, (3) frame property analyses tools using variety of frame characteristics including brightness, entropy, Harris corners, and variance of traffic flow, and (4) a visualization tool that summarizes the entire video sequence and automatically highlight a collection of frames based on some metrics defined by semi-automated or fully automated techniques. Based on the proposed framework, we developed an automated traffic flow analysis system, and in our experiments, we show results from two example traffic videos taken from different monitoring angles.
Although play is a key element in child development, little research has been done on how play is conceptualized by adults directly involved with children on a daily basis. The purpose of the study was to determine meanings of the concept "play" held by mothers of preschool children in Korea. Specifically, the study sought to determine Korean mothers' conceptions of the nature and functions of play, and their conceptions of play in contrast to work. An open-ended/semi-structured interview instrument was constructed to generate research data. Interview questions focused on three content categories: (1) the nature of play, (2) the functions of play, and (3) conceptions of work. Questions in each content category consisted of four distinct types: (1) experience/behavioral, (2) opinion/value, (3) feeling, and (4) knowledge. The instrument was pilot-tested with two subjects, revised, and administered to eleven mothers of preschool children. Interview data were subjected to domain and taxonomic analyses. Analyses yielded two principal themes: (1) Play is viewed as an intrinsically motivated and pleasurable activity; (2) while play and work could be consonant, the values inherent in play and work are generally in opposition.

In this paper, we evaluated the mechanical and dielectric properties of LDPE depend on $Co_{60}$${\gamma}$-irradiation doses. The chemical analyses for FT-IR, gel content, the mechanical properties for elongation at break and the dielectric parameters for permittivity, tan$\delta$ were discussed as a function of irradiation doses. Test result presented that elongation at break of irradiated LDPE was inversely proportional to gel content. For dielectric analyses, permittivity showed a salient characteristic for various irradiation doses, it was related to polar groups caused radiation degradation and tan$\delta$ of irradiated LDPE increased with irradiation doses.
