  • Recently, as information and communication technology is swiftly developed, consumers feel more convenient in making use of as well as access to the banking service. This change must affect consumer's benefit, however, there are rare previous studies and methods for measuring it. Thus, we utilize hedonic price technique to estimate consumer's benefit of electronic banking information. The results indicate that the price elasticity of consumer's communication service expenditure regarding the use of electronic banking information is about 0.057%. That is, users have willingness to pay 57 Won more than current communication fee for acquiring the additional electronic banking information.

  • In conventional ergonomics, consumer product can be made based on anthropometric data and specific design guideline. However, the product may not satisfy consumers because their emotional preference have not been properly considered in design phase. Therefore, in this study a new chair design process was introduced by which both consumer's emotional need and traditional ergonomic requirement can be satisfied. As a part of the process, the traditional Kansei engineering technique was modified to collect quantitative information of consumer's visual appreciation and physical feedback of various types of chairs. Furthermore, we developed an interface, so called, KADAS(Kamsung Analysis and Design Assistance System), for designers to use the technique in chair design. This software can help designers to understand what should be the most suitable shape in designing items such as seat, back and arm rest, etc. to meet the emotional need of consumers. This software displays the result of modified quantification theory I, and explains how to use the statistics. This study suggested a new approach for ergonomic design incorporated with Kansei Engineering technique. This technique can be also applied to other products by extending the database of KADAS.

  • Because of rapid evolution of software technique, numerous software professionals have been concerned with component based development methodologies. However, it is hard to find out a systematic technique for the selection of COTS (Commercial Off The Shelf) component in consumer position. Up to date, the major of component quality evaluation is object-oriented metric based evaluation methodology. But this paper present four step process and evaluation criteria based on MCDM (Multiple Criteria Decision Making) technique for optimal COTS component selection in consumer position. Weconsidered funtionality, efficiency, usability based on ISO/IEC 9126 for quality measurement and executed practical analysis about commercial EJB component in internet. This paper show that the proposed selection technique is applicable to optimal COTS component selection.

  • Collaborative filtering is a popular technique used for the recommendation system, but its performance, especially the accuracy of recommendation, depends on how to define the reference group. This paper proposes a new contents recommendation scheme based on collaborative filtering technique whose reference groups are created by consumer's affection and consumption type in order to improve the accuracy of recommendation. In this paper, joy, sadness, anger, happiness, and relax are considered as the consumer's affection. And, low-utility / low-pleasure, low-utility / high-pleasure, high-utility / low-pleasure, and high-utility / high-pleasure are considered as the consumer's shopping types. Experimental results show that the proposed scheme improves the accuracy of recommendation compared to the recommendation scheme considering neither consumer's affection nor consumption type.
