Determination of structural behavior of Bosporus suspension bridge considering construction stages and different soil conditions

  • In this paper, it is aimed to determine the structural behavior of suspension bridges considering construction stages and different soil conditions. Bosporus Suspension Bridge connecting the Europe and Asia in Istanbul is selected as an example. Finite element model of the bridge is constituted using SAP2000 program considering existing drawings. Geometric nonlinearities are taken into consideration in the analysis using P-Delta large displacement criterion. The time dependent material strength of steel and concrete and geometric variations is included in the analysis. Time dependent material properties are considered as compressive strength, aging, shrinkage and creep for concrete, and relaxation for steel. To emphases the soil condition effect on the structural behavior of suspension bridges, each of hard, medium and soft soils are considered in the analysis. The structural behavior of the bridge at different construction stages and different soil conditions has been examined. Two different finite element analyses with and without construction stages are carried out and results are compared with each other. At the end of the analyses, variation of the displacement and internal forces such as bending moment, axial forces and shear forces for bridge deck and towers are given in detail. Also, displacement and stresses for bridge foundation are given with detail. It can be seen from the analyses that there are some differences between both analyses (with and without construction stages) and the results obtained from the construction stages are bigger. It can be stated that the analysis without construction stages cannot give the reliable solutions. In addition, soil condition have effect on the structural behavior of the bridge. So, it is thought that construction stage analysis using time dependent material properties, geometric nonlinearity and soil conditions effects should be considered in order to obtain more realistic structural behavior of suspension bridges.

  • Although the depression of oversea construction market becomes more serious recent years, asian construction market is relatively dynamic, particularly in china. However, few research has been conducted about how to manage construction projects in china as foreign developers. Four important risks are identified from series of surveys using the WBS-RBS method, the result shows that the main risk of tender stage is 'Tender max price error', ' Bill of quantities error', 'Unusual low price' and 'Moral risk' respectively.

  • 설계단계에서 구조적 안전성을 확인하더라도, 시공단계에서는 구조시스템이 완전히 형성되지 않아 구조적 안전성이 보장되지 않는다. 또한 시공 기간은 완공된 이후의 건물의 사용기간보다 짧기 때문에 설계단계에서와 같은 지진하중을 시공단계에 적용하는 것은 과다하다. ASCE 37-14는 시공 중 지진하중 저감계수의 개념을 제시하고 있지만, 명확한 적용 방법을 제공하지 않고 있다. 따라서, 이 연구에서는 재현주기에 따라 저감한 지진하중을 주거용 중층 RC건물의 예제 모델에 적용하였다. 예제모델의 시공단계를 5층 단위로 구분하였으며, 시공단계 모델들에 재현주기 변화에 따른 지진하중을 적용하여 시공 중 지진하중을 분석하고 구조 부재의 단면성능 검토를 수행하였다. 설계단계와 시공단계에서의 전단벽 설계강도비를 비교하여, 주거용 중층 RC 건물의 시공 중 안전성을 확보할 수 있는 지진하중 크기의 범위를 재현주기의 관점에서 분석하였다.

  • The construction work to establish a safety management plan should be carried out Design for Safety(DFS) task by the designers from May 2016 according to the amendment of the Construction Technology Promotion Act. However, designers lack experience in construction work and lack of information on safety accidents, so it is not easy to predict a disaster that may occur during the construction phase. Therefore, the purpose of this study is to provide information about disasters that can occur in each construction work in order to enable designers to efficiently perform DFS task in the design phase. In this study, the construction work was classified by work unit and the disaster risk assessment was conducted using the Failure Mode and Effect Analysis technique. The disaster information by work unit analyzed in this study can be used to provide designers with an alternative to prevent disasters at the design stage. Disaster information by work unit of apartment construction can be used by designers to prepare an alternative for disaster prevention at the design stage.

다단계 자중 프리플렉스 및 프리스트레싱 합성거더의 시공단계에 따른 휨성능 평가 (Flexural Performance of Multistage Prestressed and Self-weight Preflex Girder)

  • 이 논문은 거푸집의 설치없이 간편하게 합성단면을 형성하고 다단계의 자중 프리플렉스 및 프리스트레싱을 비교적 쉽게 구현할 수 있도록 고안된 합성거더 시스템의 휨성능에 관한 것이다. 시공단계를 고려한 3차원 유한요소해석모형을 수립하고 콘크리트 타설방법과 강연선 긴장방법을 변수로 지정하여 합성거더 단면에 작용하는 선응력 분포와 강연선에 의해 도입되는 긴장효과를 수치 해석적으로 분석하였다. 변수 해석 결과를 비교하여 응력분포가 가장 유리한 해석모델의 제작과정을 표준제작단계로 선정하여 비선형비탄성 해석을 통해 극한휨강도를 평가하였다. 이를 국내 설계기준에서 제시하는 기준강도와 비교 검토해보니, 적정 공칭내하력을 보유하는 것으로 확인되어 소요 안전율을 충분히 확보 가능할 것으로 판단된다.

  • 최근 들어 매스콘크리트 구조물의 해석에 대한 연구가 증가 추세에 있다. 대형 콘크리트 구조물은 일괄 타설하지 않고 분할하여 타설하기 때문에 서로 다른 발열특성 및 시간의존적 특성을 지닌 콘크리트로 구성된 구조물이 됩니다 따라서 실제 구조물과 근접한 수화열해석 모델을 만들기 위해서는 시공단계를 고려한 모델이 필요합니다. 본 연구에서는 교각 기초의 온도균열을 방지하기 위하여 열응력 검토를 실시하였으며, 이때 기초는 보통 콘크리트를 사용하고 $12m\times14m$의 면적과 3m 높이를 가지는 것을 모델로 하였다. 2단계로 분할하여 타설된 기초구조물에 대해서 별 해석을 수행하고 그 결과를 분석합니다.

프로젝트 관리가 공동주택 건설의 하자 발생에 미치는 영향: 프로젝트 매니저 경험의 조절효과를 중심으로 (Investigating the Impact of Project Management on Construction Defects in Housing Projects: With a Focus on Project Manager Experience)

  • Recently, defects that occurred during the construction of apartment houses have become a social issue. Defects in apartment houses lead to waste of resources and economic loss, causing psychological and physical damage to customers, and a decrease in reliability and financial loss to construction companies. The purpose of this study was to analyze the impact of defect occurrence according to the difference in project management level in the apartment housing construction stage, and to investigate the extent to which the project manager's experience affects the defect occurrence rate. For the empirical analysis of the study, statistical analysis was conducted using data collected from 130 actual projects. The results of the analysis showed that schedule management, cost management, and quality management had a positive effect on reducing the defect occurrence rate in the execution stage of apartment housing construction, while human resource management productivity had a negative effect. This study theoretically demonstrated the importance of project management, and in practice, showed that schedule management, cost management, and quality management should be faithfully performed in the execution stage to reduce the rate of defects after project completion. It was also suggested that hiring an experienced project manager would help reduce project defects.

  • 국내 하천시설물 건설공사는 도로 등의 다른 토목시설공사에 비해서 사업의 금액규모가 상대적으로 작다는 등의 특성으로 인해 사업의 기획 및 계획단계에서의 개략적인 공사비용을 예측하는 기준 단가가 정립되어 있지 않으며, 시설물의 특성을 고려한 합리적이고 체계적인 견적 방법론 또한 존재하지 않는다는 문제점을 가지고 있다. 본 연구는 하천시설물 건설공사의 실적자료를 수집하고 분석하여, 4단계로 이루어진 하천 제방공사 실적정보 구성 체계를 제시하고, 공사비에 영향을 끼치는 인자들을 주요 공종별로 도출하여, 하천시설물 공사의 기획단계에서 적정한 개략공사비를 산정하는 체계적인 방법론을 제시한다.

  • Recently, world-wide focusing on the interest for the reduction of greenhouse gas emissions associated with climate change and global warming, South Korea also has set up a national greenhouse gas reduction target and action plans seeking to achieve them. In particular, in the construction area, to encourage green building certification of the building and carbon labeling acquisition of building products, in order to reduce the environmental impact caused by the industrial activities have been in steady efforts. Therefore, this study estimates the life cycle carbon footprint of building construction materials applied to carbon emissions reduction technology and analyzes the results. Through the CO2 emissions analysis in construction phase and maintenance phase of the building, it provides basic resource for future research expansion and establishes a step-by-step whole life cycle carbon emissions reduction plan in new construction and existing buildings.

  • PSC box bridge by MSS construction method may not be set at cross section at one step. Web and bottom flange(U member) would be set at first, top flange will be set later with a time lag. In this case, U member and top flange concrete have different strain history. As two different aged section behaves as the composite section, there would happen the redistribution of stress. This is come from time-dependent strain characteristics of concrete itself. In this study, two models are considered, one with considering the set time of cross section and the other without. By performing longitudinal analysis of two models on considering construction stage, the stress differences of two are compared. As the analysis results show a considerable differences in the stresses of cross section between two models, the set time of cross section is needed for rational design f PSC box girder bridge.
