1. Objectives In ShinChukbon "DongyiSuseBowon", there are many contents of constitutional diseases and symptoms. The aim of the present study was to investigate recognition of sleep as Dong-Mu's constitutional symptoms. 2. Methods In ShinChukbon "DongyiSuseBowon", I found contents about sleeping and made comparative study of acquired contents. And I made comparative of previous studies. 3. Results (1) I concluded that Soumin who has interior and exterior diseases didn't get sleep well. Under the condition that constitutional diseases are cured, Soyangin gets to sleep well. (2) I concluded that Soyangin who has interior and exterior diseases sleep lesser than ordinary symptoms. Under the condition that constitutional diseases are cured, Soyangin gets to sleep well. (3) I concluded that Taeumin who has interior diseases sleep lesser than ordinary symptoms. Under the condition that constitutional diseases are cured, Taeumin gets to sleep well. (4) I concluded that Taeang who has constitutional disease may sleep lesser than ordinary symptoms. But not confirmed. 4. Conclusions There is some ground that sleep as constitutional symptom would be a good authority of checking constitutional disease.

Objectives The aim of this study is to explore the mechanism of action and target diseases of Sasang constitutional prescriptions using a multiscale interactome approach. Methods The compound and target information of Sasang constitutional prescriptions were retrieved from various databases such as the TM-MC, STITCH, and TTD. Key targets for Sasang constitutional prescriptions were identified by selecting the top 100 targets based on the number of simple paths within the constructed network. Diffusion profiles for Sasang constitutional prescriptions and diseases were calculated based on a biased random walk algorithm. Potential diseases and key mechanisms of Sasang constitutional prescriptions were identified by analyzing diffusion profiles. Results We identified 144 Sasang constitutional prescriptions and their targets, finding 80 herbs with effective biological targets. A cluster analysis based on selecting up to 100 key targets for each prescription revealed a more cohesive grouping of prescriptions according to Sasang constitution. We then predicted potential diseases for 62 Sasang constitutional prescriptions using diffusion profiles calculated on a multiscale interactome. Finally, our analysis of diffusion profiles revealed key targets and biological functions of prescriptions in obesity and diabetes. Conclusions This study demonstrates the effectiveness of a multiscale interactome approach in elucidating the complex mechanisms and potential therapeutic applications of prescriptions in Sasang constitutional medicine.

1. Objectives The purpose of this research is to find out the Constitutional difference between the amount of Plasma Homocysteine, Total cholesterol, and Triglyceride which are factor of Cerebrovascular disease. 2. Methods We enrolled 132 patients inexperienced Strokes who visited our hospital for a medical examination from April 26, 2004 to June 29, 2005 except patients whose body constitusions were undetermined according to QSCOII. This research investigated the Constitutional difference between the amount of Plasma Homocysteine, Total cholesterol and Triglyceride. 3. Results & Conclusions This research has shown that there is a statistical significance between the average amount of Plasma Homocystein level that is higher in Taeumin. But there is no significant difference between the average amount of Total Cholestrol and Triglyceride in Sasang Constitution.

Objectives:This study was designed to report treatment by Sasang Constitutional Medicine to the patients with Major Neurocognitive Disorder(Dementia) from various causes. Methods:These two patients were diagnosed as Taeeumin and Soyangin according to the result of Sasang constitutional diagnosis, and treated by Sasang constitutional medications. The progress was evaluated with the Korean version of Mini-Mentel State Exam(KMMSE) and Global Disorientation Scale(GDS). Result:The symptoms like wandering, insomnia, cognitive disorder was improved in these patients. Also, KMMSE and GDS score were highly improved. the one patient was cured with Cheongsimyeonja-tang and and the other was cured with Jihwangbaekho-tang and Yanggyuksanhwa-tang. Conclusion:This cases show that Sasang constitutional herbal medications are an effective treatment for the patients with Major Neurocognitive Disorder.

Objectives : Through a comparative study between Sasang constitutional medicine and Syndrome identification and treatment medicine about the theory of diagnosis, the theory of herbal medicine, the theory of prescription, the theory of acupuncture and constitutional medicine to put forward a complementary perfect solution which has good clinical utility. Methods : We compared and sorted out the textbook of Korean Sasang constitutional medicine which named Sasang medicine, and also the textbook of Chinese TCM which was including Basic theory of TCM, Diagnostics of TCM, Science of Chinese materia medica, Pharmacology of traditional Chinese medical formulae, Science of acupuncture and moxibustion, Constitution of TCM, and also related papers. Results : (1) Through a comparative study between Sasang constitutional medicine and Syndrome identification and treatment medicine about diagnosis, herbal medicine, prescription and acupuncture, Sasang constitutional medicine is a medical system which gives priority to balance of organs, when Syndrome identification and treatment medicine is a medical system that gives priority to improve symptom. (2) The prescriptions of Sasang constitutional medicine are used for the treatment of basic pathogenesis in the chronic stage of the disease, which can recover vital qi, when Syndrome identification and treatment medicine are used for the treatment of stage pathogenesis in the acute stage of the disease, which can get rid of pathogenic factors. (3) There are two kind of complementary perfect solution between Sasang constitutional medicine and Syndrome identification and treatment medicine. One perfect complementary medicine is that Sasang constitutional medicine plays a major role when Syndrome identification and treatment medicine plays a supporting role. The other one is that Syndrome identification and treatment medicine plays a major role when Sasang constitutional medicine plays a supporting role. It determined by the usual symptoms and the symptoms now, vital qi and pathogenic factors, symptom and the root cause, acute stage and chronic stage, and the state of pathogenesis. Conclusion : A new perfect complementary medicine can be created which is based on the setting that Sasang constitutional medicine primarily treat the usual symptoms, vital qi, the root cause, chronic stage and basic pathogenesis when Syndrome identification and treatment medicine primarily treat the symptoms now, pathogenic factors, symptom, acute stage and stage pathogenesis.

1. Objectives This case is to report that a Soyangun patient with Dizziness treated by Soyangin's Contitutional medications-Dojuckkangki-tang(導赤降氣湯). 2. Methods This patient was treated by several Constitutional medications (導赤降氣湯-地黃白虎湯-荊芳地黃湯) and acupuncture treatment according to the result of Sasang Constitutional diagnosis with western medical management. We used Visual analogue scale(VAS) for the assessment of dizziness. 3. Results and Conclusions This patient's chief complaints was dizziness. So he was treated by Soyangin's Constitutional medications (especially Dojukkangki-tang) and showed a positive response about his symptom. But then we consider that studies about that case like this are more needed.

1. Purpose : Sasang constitutional herb medicine is known as specific to his own's constitution. So Other constitutional herb medicine can induce side effects. This study investigates the cause and side effects of other constitutional herb medicine. 2. Methods : Literature study was carried out with the chapters including harm to Other constitutions in the books "Dongyisasangjinryoeuijeon(東醫四象診療醫典)" and "Joeuihak(朝醫學)". And the causes of side effects were studied in terms of herbology and movements of Qi in Sasang constitutional medicine. 3. Results : Herb medicines of Taeeumin's have the dispersing Qi energy, so Soeumin could have side effects mostly and some of Soyangin could do. Herb medicines of Soeumin's have the warming Qi energy, so Soyangin could have side effects like dermatitis or fever. Herb medicine of Soyangin's have cooling Qi energy, so Soeumin could have side effects of digestive system like diarrhea and some of Taeeumin could do. 4. Conclusion : It is thought that herb medicine is safe and less harmful when herb medicine is prescribed and taken according to his own constitution.

The Sasang Constitutional Examination, which is a medical treatment for Korean medicine, is a insurance non-coverage item. It is necessary to diagnose the constitution for medical treatment and to know the health regimen according to the constitution. We plan this project in order to expand the insurance guarantee reinforcement for Sasang Constitutional Examination and Counselling. This study was to investigate the status of insurance coverage and non-coverage items and to investigate objectivity and standardization of Sasang Constitutional Examination and Counselling. In addition, according to medical field, the items of Sasang Constitutional Examination and Counselling were divided. We reviewed the status of constitutional health care services and applied it to the financial budget for the medical care costs. Finally we propose Sasang Constitutional Examination and Counseling of Korean Medicine Act Classification (plan) and propose Insurance Coverage of Sasang Constitutional Examination and Counselling (plan).

Objects of Research This research is purposed to find role and treatment mind of Sasang constitutional medicine in human genome age, through summarizing recognition of human and etiology. treatment on diseases proposed in Sasang constitutional medicine 2. Methods of Research It was researched as bibliologically with Dong-mu's chief medical writings such as ${\ulcorner}Dongyi$ Soose Bowon(東醫壽世保元)${\lrcorner}$, ${\ulcorner}$Dongyi Soose Bowon Sasang Chongyun(東醫壽世保元四象草本卷${\lrcorner}$. 3. Results and Conclusions 1. The outlook on human of Sasang Constitutional Medicine was completed in the base on Confusianism and it recognized that human is consisted with congenital element based on 'Human nature-shape' and acquired element based on Knowledge-Acting. Dong-mu emphasised acquired element than inborn element. 2. Sasang Constitutional Medicine is thought that we ran overcome inborn limitation of each constitution through moral culture of aposteriori Knowledge-Acting. and that self-correction is methods which is applied to treatment of disease recovering Essential Qi of each constitution with moral culture of personality 3. Sasang Constitutional Medicine is recognizing Essential Qi by main standard that foretell prognosis of disease and emphasize recovery of Essential Qi through self-correction than way of 'Assisting-Good Qi' and 'Removig-Bad Qi' in treatment of disease. 4. Self-correction can be divided into non-herbal self-correction and herbal self-correction. Non-herbal self-correction is to control greed by aposteriori Knowledge-Acting and herbal self-correction is to recover Essential Qi by herb. 5. It is thought that the present constitutional disease is consisted by accumulating life habit nature of a disease of ordinary times, and Sasang Constitutional Medicine that present constitutional disease is treated through administration of life habit nature of a disease of ordinary times in Sasang Constitutional Medicine. 6. Treatment mind to correct oneself into Golden Mean through controlling Knowledge-Acting in Sasang Constitutional Medicine may get into important treatment guide of gene medicine age.

1. Objectives The purpose of nursing is to promote health and well-being for all persons. It is connected with Sasang Constitution theory have regard for viewpoint by other's a special quality & individual difference. A nursing is helping behavior to recover health, disease protection & self care ability through health education. There is need for Oriental nursing research continually. 2. Methods This study attempted to develop a fundamental nursing theory for Sasang Constitution on the focus "Dongyi Soose Bowon Sasang Chobongyun". Because the book is important to understand Lee Je-ma's early medical mind and thinking. 3. Results and Conclusions The Sasang Constitution theory lay great emphasis upon health caring medicine to promote health according to self Constitution at normal times, preventive medicine to manage byself body and mind in ordinary times. The way of Sasang Constitutional Nursing Theory is expected to set up a landmark stone in Korean nursing. It is also can product a new nursing theory. In view of 'Nature and Order' is explained inborned general human being who were gifted from nature. On the other hand, in view of 'Knowledge and Deed' based on Constitutions are explained autonomical human being. There are depend on independant control and make efforts themselves or not. It have a connected in four paradigm (human- environment-health- nursing) of nursing theory. The history taking stage claim caring of sick-people before. The ways of assesment for sick-people have to know a process of illness.
