음악요법이 수술직후 환자의 의식회복과 활력징후에 미치는 영향 (The Effects of Music Therapy on recovery of consciousness and vital signs in post operative patient in the recovery room)

  • The purpose of this study was to demonstrate the effect of music therapy as a nursing intervention on changes in recovery of consciousness and vital signs for postoperative patients in the recovery room. The subject for this study were fifty three of postoperative patients who were transferred from the OR to the RR at Kwangju Christian Hospital in Kwangju City. Thirty of them were assigned to the experimental group, and twenty three, to the control group. The age of the subject was between twenty and sixty years of age. The subject had a general anesthesia without any special complications, and they were not completely awake. The data were collected for six months from July 1999 to February 2000. The method used was to compare the condition of the subjects in each group at the beginning and at certain times repeatedly. The features observed were the level of consciousness, the frequency of complaints of pain, and vital signs of the subject before and 15 minutes, 30 minutes, and 60 minutes after hearing their favorite music for 30 minutes. The results are as follows 1. The recovery of consciousness was revealed through significant changes in facial expression, facial color, and grip strength in the experimental group more strongly than in the control group. No significant changes were shown in verbal order. The differences in recovery of consciousness in the pre-post music therapy between the two groups was not significant in verbal order, facial expression, or grip strength. However, significant changes were seen in facial color. 2. There were no significant differences between the two groups in changes in the frequency of pain complaints after music therapy. However, a significant difference was shown in the pre-post music therapy scres. 3. Vital signs did not show a significant difference between the two groups. However, the $SPO_2$ of the experimental group was significantly elevated after 60 minutes. The difference pre-post to the music therapy in the vital signs between two groups was significant only in body temperature. This study showed that the effect of music therapy given to postoperative patients is that it promotes changes in facial expression, facial color, and grip strength helping recovery of consciousness, stabilizing vital signs, elevating levels of $SPO_2$. and reducing complaints of pain. It is recommended that if the patient wants it music therapy be given right after surgery in the recovery room as a nursing intervention.

전문대학생의 진로의식에 관한 연구 - D대학 치기공과 재학생을 중심으로 - (The research on the Career Consciousness of the College Students (revolve around D College Dental Technology Student))

  • Purpose: The work of Dental technician which is part of national dental health, is more specialized recently. This research provides fundamental data from analyzing student's career consciousness according to needs of a career education. Here is the conclusion of the analysis about student's career consciousness, that is for a right choice of career. Methods: This study did questionnaire to a dental Laboratory Technology student who locate in Taegu. Question response student number was 570 people. Response contents analyzed to 506 people except imperfect questionnaire. Data used windows sas 8.0 program and did descriptive statistical analysis. Results: There is a meaningful difference in what they want to know about an occupation according to ages. (${\rho}$ < 0.01) All ages are similar to their occupational thinking, however they who are under twenties consider working environment. Most motives of an entrance are similar, there is a meaningful difference. (${\rho}$ < 0.05) According to a grade of college, there is a meaningful difference how to obtain informations of a career. (${\rho}$ < 0.05) Sophomores and juniors obtain information from seniors or family, however freshmen obtain from the internet because of an accessibility. There is a meaningful difference of a job meaning between men and women. (${\rho}$ < 0.01) Men are working for a means of living. But women give weight to a self-development. The older they grow, the more they know about their aptitude. Selecting subjects are different choosing time & motive. According to ages and where they are from, there is a meaningful difference how much know about their aptitude. (${\rho}$ < 0.05) Older Students know more than young students. Selecting subjects are different choosing time & motive. In accordance with a grade, ages, and where they are from, there are different degrees about how much know their interests. There is a meaningful difference of a choosing major period and choosing informations. (${\rho}$ < 0.01) And also there is a meaningful difference where they are from and why they enter to College. (${\rho}$ < 0.001) In accordance with a grade, ages, and where they are from, there are different degrees about how much know their aptitude. There is a meaningful difference of a choosing major period. (${\rho}$ < 0.01) And also there is a meaningful difference why they enter to College. (${\rho}$ < 0.001) Conclusion: Although we know that a career education is very important, however lots of students select a career without their aptitude & interest & character. We need to teach a career education systematically; considering students career consciousness, with a proper career guidance, cultivating career consciousness.

도시와 농촌 초등학생의 성의식 및 성가치관에 관한 비교 연구 (A comparative study on sex-consciousness and sexual values between urban and rural elementary schoolers)

  • The purpose of this study was to examine the sex-consciousness and sexual values of school children by geographic region. It's specifically attempted to make a comparative analysis of sex-consciousness and sexual values between urban and rural elementary schoolers to help provide efficient sex education for them to build the right sexual values. The subjects in this study were 400 elementary schoolers in their sixth year of elementary schools located in Danyang-gun and Chungju city, north Chungcheong province. After a survey was conducted, answer sheets from 387 students that were analyzable were analyzed. For data handling, SPSS program was employed, and t-test was utilized to see if there's any differences between the urban and rural elementary school youngsters in sex consciousness and sexual values. And $x^2$ test was used to make a comparative analysis of their view of sex education. The findings of the study were as follows : First, regarding sex-consciousness, they had general knowledge on sex. Especially, they were highly aware of sexual violence and the generation of baby, but many of them didn't know about where and how egg cells were produced. This indicated that systematic education should be offered in various ways. Concerning geographic gap, there was a significant difference in sexual knowledge between the urban and rural students. As to sexual attitude, they took a relatively positive attitude toward display of affection or sex-related talk on TV or in movies, as they viewed it as natural. This finding implied that the elementary schoolers were recipient toward sex and took an active attitude toward sexual expressions. Concerning geographic gap, there was no difference between the rural and urban students. As for sexual practices, the largest group of the students had a liking for the opposite sex, which showed that their needs for sex were unveiled in the course of having some trouble due to the other sex rather than through firsthand experiences or activities. As to geographic gap, there was a significant difference between the urban and rural students in that regard. Besides, the urban students put their sex-consciousness in practice more often than the rural students did. After they are educated to build the right sexual values, systematic sex-education programs should also be offered for them to be exposed to sustained sex education and to team how to apply their sex-consciousness to real life. Second, as for sexual values, the school children had relatively positive and equalitarian sexual values. Regarding geographic gap, there were significant gaps between the two groups' view of the opposite sex, sexual roles and chastity. Concerning view of the opposite sex, they attached more importance to the inner aspects of the opposite sex than his or her look, and they wanted to date in a natural manner. Regarding sexual roles, they were relatively well cognizant of gender equity and the importance of male and female roles. As to view of chastity, they looked upon sex as natural, not as what's ugly or ashamed of. Third, concerning their outlook on sex education, approximately more than half the students felt the needs for sex education, and there was a significant difference between the urban and rural students. They wanted to receive education about the prevention of sexual violence and physical changes during puberty the most, and there was a significant gap between the urban and rural students in this aspect. As to the time for sex education, they thought that students should start to be exposed to sex education in their fifth or sixth year. This finding signified that fifth or sixth graders who were in the beginning of puberty started to have a lot of interest in their own physical changes. Therefore, sex education would produce better effects when it's provided to fifth or sixth graders. Nearly half them preferred single-gender class when they received sex education, and there's no gap between the urban and rural students in that regard.

Intramedullary Spinal Cord Metastasis of Choriocarcinoma

  • The authors describe a case of choriocarcinoma that metastasized to the cerebral cortex, vertebral body, and intramedullary spinal cord. A 21-year-old woman presented with sudden headache, vomiting and a visual field defect. Brain computed tomography and magnetic resonance examinations revealed an intracranial hemorrhage in the left temporo-parietal lobe and two enhancing nodules in the left temporal and right frontal lobe. After several days, the size of the hemorrhage increased, and a new hemorrhage was identified in the right frontal lobe. The hematoma and enhancing mass in the left temporo-parietal lobe were surgically removed. Choriocarcinoma was diagnosed after histological examination. At 6 days after the operation, her consciousness had worsened and she was in a state of stupor. The size of the hematoma in the right frontal lobe was enlarged. We performed an emergency operation to remove the hematoma and enhancing mass. Her mental status recovered slowly. Two months thereafter, she complained of paraplegia with sensory loss below the nipples. Whole spine magnetic resonance imaging revealed a well-enhancing mass in the thoracic intramedullary spinal cord and L2 vertebral body. Despite chemotherapy and radiotherapy, the patient died 13 months after the diagnosis.

치위생(학)과와 보건계열 대학생들의 생명 의료윤리 의식에 관한 융합연구 (A Convergence Study on the Consciousness of Bio-medical Ethics of Dental Hygiene and Health Science related Majoring Students)

  • 본 연구는 치위생(학)과와 보건계열 학생들을 대상으로 2018년 6월에서 7월까지 생명윤리의식을 파악하여 생명윤리 교육과정 개발에 필요한 기초자료를 제공하고자 설문조사하였다. 생명권과 인공수정 인식도의 관한 상관관계는 성별(r=0.241), 종교(r=-0.176), 학과(r=-0.160)에서 유의하였고, 장기기증 및 장기이식에 관한 인식도에 관한 상관관계는 학년(r=0.129), 종교(r=-0.098), 생명윤리 교육여부(r=0.235)에서 유의하였다. 안락사의 인식도에 관한 상관관계는 종교(r=0.139), 생명윤리교육 여부(r=-0.157)에서 유의하였다. 결과적으로 보건계열 대학생들에게 바람직한 윤리관을 확립하기 위해서는 교육과정을 개발하고 생명의료 윤리의식에 영향을 미치는 요인을 다각적으로 분석하여 체계적으로 교육 프로그램을 운영해야 할 것이다.

지역 애니메이션 상영 구조 문제와 저작권 침해 : 춘천 지역을 중심으로 (Local animation structural Problem of screening and infringement copy right : in the centering of Chuncheon area)

  • 이 논문에서는 수도권 및 광역시 지역에만 집중되어 있는 애니메이션 상영에 비해 지방 중소도시에는 상대적으로 부족한 애니메이션 상영의 구조에 따라 지역의 애니메이션 관람 수요층이 관람에 대한 제약을 많이 받고 있음을 조사하고 이러한 문제가 결국 저작권 침해 정도를 증가시키고 있는 점에 대해 연구하였다. 전국적으로 상영관의 혜택이 가장 적은 춘천 지역에서 저작권 침해율이 가장 높은 계층을 대상으로 전국 상영관 상영작을 모두 볼 수 있게 한다면 범법적인 저작권 침해에 대한 비율이 어떤 변화를 일으킬 수 있는가에 대해 평가하였다. 이 결과로 25.3%의 범법적 저작권 침해율을 낮출 가능성을 찾아 내었고. 애니메이션 배급과 상영의 문제 개선과 관람 수요자의 인식 개선을 통해 구조 개선이 필요함을 알게 되었다. 즉, 애니메이션 콘텐츠에 대한 구조적 접근성이 개선되어야 할 것이고 이를 통해 저작권 침해 범죄율을 감소시켜야만 할 것이다.

An Adjacency Effect in Auditory Distance and Loudness Judgments

  • This study investigated whether the adjacency principle. demonstrated in a perceived visual space, can be applied to auditory space. In order to demonstrate an auditory adjacency principle, multiple sound sources were varied in direction and distance in an acoustically absorbant space. Specifically, a NEAR sound source was located 10° to the left of the listener's midline at a distance of 2 meters; a FAR sound source was located 10° to the right at a distance of 5 meters. These sources served as perceptual reference points with respect to the localization of three test sounds, all at a distance of 3 meters. Two of three test sounds were directionally closer to the NEAR and FAR reference sounds, respectively. The other was between the reference sources directionally. The listener was asked to judge the perceived distances and the loudness of the three test sounds and the two reference sounds. The results indicated that the apparent distances of the test sounds were most determined by the disparity of distance between each test sound and the reference sound most directionally adjacent to it. Therefore, the findings offer evidence that the adjacency principle can be applied to the auditory space.

"All This is Indeed Brahman" Rammohun Roy and a 'Global' History of the Rights-Bearing Self

  • This essay interrogates the category of the 'global' in the emerging domain of 'global intellectual history'. Through a case study of the Indian social-religious reformer Rammohun Roy (1772/4-1833), I argue that notions of global selfhood and rights-consciousness (which have been preoccupying concerns of recent debates in intellectual history) have multiple conceptual and practical points of origin. Thus in early colonial India a person like Rammohun Roy could invoke centuries-old Indic terms of globality (vishva, jagat, sarva, sarvabhuta, etc.), selfhood (atman/brahman), and notions of right (adhikara) to liberation/salvation (mukti/moksha) as well as late precolonial discourses on 'worldly' rights consciousness (to life, property, religious toleration) and models of participatory governance present in an Indo-Islamic society, and hybridize these with Western-origin notions of rights and liberties. Thereby Rammohun could challenge the racial and confessional assumptions of colonial authority and produce a more deterritorialized and non-sectarian idea of selfhood and governance. However, Rammohun's comparativist world-historical notions excluded other models of selfhood and globality, such as those produced by devotional Vaishnava, Shaiva, and Shakta-Tantric discourses under the influence of non-Brahmanical communities and women. Rammohun's puritan condemnation of non-Brahmanical sexual and gender relations created a homogenized and hierarchical model of globality, obscuring alternate subaltern-inflected notions of selfhood. Class, caste, and gender biases rendered Rammohun supportive of British colonial rule and distanced him from popular anti-colonial revolts and social mobility movements in India. This article argues that today's intellectual historians run the risk of repeating Rammohun's biases (or those of Hegel's Weltgeschichte) if they privilege the historicity and value of certain models of global selfhood and rights-consciousness (such as those derived from a constructed notion of the 'West' or from constructed notions of various 'elite' classicized 'cultures'), to the exclusion of models produced by disenfranchised actors across the world. Instead of operating through hierarchical assumptions about local/global polarity, intellectual historians should remain sensitive to and learn from the universalizable models of selfhood, rights, and justice produced by actors in different spatio-temporal locations and intersections.

생명의료윤리 교육 프로그램이 간호 대학생의 간호사 윤리강령인식, 간호사 윤리강령 활용 정도, 생명의료 윤리 의식 및 도덕적 민감성에 미치는 효과 (Biomedical Ethics Education for Nursing Students: The Effect on Awareness and Application of Nursing Code of Ethics, Consciousness of Biomedical Ethics and Moral Sensitivity)

  • Purpose: This study examines the effectiveness of an educational program of nursing biomedical ethics for nursing students to increase awareness of the Code of Ethics for Nurses, moral sensitivity, and application of the Code of Ethics for Nurses. Methods: A quasi-experimental research design and t-test were used. The experimental group (n=31) and control group (n=32) were second-year university nursing students in two major cities. The experimental group received 15 hours of nursing ethics education during the 15-week semester. The training was not provided to the control group. Results: The application of the Code of Ethics for Nurses increased significantly in the experimental group (t=-1.06, p=.017), nurses and patient (t=-2.23, p=.029), obligation of nurse as an expert (t=-2.08, p=.042), nurse and cooperator (t=-2.54, p=.014). The consciousness of biomedical ethics increased significantly in the experimental group (t=4.28, p=.021), newborn's right to live (t=-2.61, p=.011), euthanasia (t=-2.36, p=.021). Conclusion: The results of the study show that providing a nursing biomedical ethics program to nursing students is an effective method to enhance the application of the Code of Ethics for Nurses and Consciousness of Biomedical Ethics. Implementing an intervention program of the Code of Ethics for Nurses in the regular nursing curriculum may reduce conflicts involving ethical decision making by nurses.

선행조직자로서의 저작권 의식 측정 척도 개발 및 적용 (A Study on Development and Application of the Measuring Scale of Copyright Consciousness as an Advance Organizer)

  • 지식 정보화 사회의 발전과 사회문화의 다양화에 따라 저작물의 가치와 중요성, 그리고 저작자의 권리 보호의 필요성이 증대하고 있다. 특히 학생들의 경우 타인의 저작권을 침해하거나 자신의 저작권을 침해당할 소지에 쉽게 노출되어 있어 사회적 문제가 되고 있다. 저작권 수업의 도입단계에서 아동들이 경험하는 척도는 수업의 선행조직자로서의 역할을 하며 이를 통해 학습자는 저작권의 내용을 기존의 인지구조에 쉽게 통합할 수 있으며 수업내용에 대한 이해를 돕고 흥미를 가질 수 있게 한다. 이에 본 연구에서는 선행조직자로서의 저작권 의식 측정 척도를 개발하여 학생의 저작권 의식을 측정하고 측정치를 활용하여 저작권 보호 의식을 고취하는 수업에 활용할 방안을 제시하고자 한다. 본 시스템을 개발하여 적용한 결과 저작권 의식 척도를 경험한 집단에서 저작권 의식 점수가 더 높게 나타났다. 이를 통해 척도를 활용한 저작권 교육이 저작권 의식을 향상시킴을 확인할 수 있다.
