환경친화적 가공을 위한 냉풍시스템의 성능평가 (Performance Evaluation of Compressed Cold Air System for Environmentally Conscious Machining)

  • In industrially advanced countries, environmentally conscious machining was eagerly studied because of ecological and economical reasons. As the environmental regulations become stricter, new machining technologies which takes environmental aspects into consideration are being developed. Industry and research institutions established applications for dry, semi-dry, oil-mist and compressed cold air machining. This paper investigates the performance of new compressed cold air system for environmentally conscious machining and evaluates machinability of dry and new compressed cold air machining. A series of tests are carried out using measuring equipments under dry and compressed cold air machining.

  • 환경문제가 기업의 물류분야에서도 중요한 경쟁요소로 대두되고 있다. 이에 따라 환경친화적 물류활동의 실태조사를 통하여, 추진방향을 설정해 보고자 하였다. 이를 위하여 본 연구는 환경친화적 물류활동 82개 항목을 선정하였으며, 제조기업 129사를 대상으로 기업규모별로 추진실태를 조사하였다. 환경친화적 물류활동 조사항목 중 40개 이상을 실시하고 있는 기업은 10% 수준에 불과하였다. 이를 바탕으로 우리나라 기업들이 추진하여야 환경친화적인 물류활동의 추진방향을 6가지로 나누어 제시하였다.

  • Recently, environmental pollution has become a significant problem in industry and many researchers have investigated in order to preserve the environment. Environmentally conscious machining and technology have more important position in machining process, because cutting fluid has bad influence on the environment in milling process. This research is the experimental study on high speed machining of aluminum alloys through environmentally conscious machining. In this study, the surface roughness and chip appearance was investigated in the machining of aluminum alloys by dry machining, using cutting fluid and oil mist.

  • An understanding of consumers' evaluative processes and the consumer variables that influence cross-cultural evaluations of foreign products is essential to effectively penetrate international markets. This study compared consumers in two developing countries, Korea and Mexico, regarding their product evaluations and purchase intentions for US Levi's jeans. Both Korean and Mexican consumers are generally quality and price conscious. Korean consumers appeared to be more value-conscious than Mexican consumers. Mexican consumers exhibited high level of brand and prestige conscious behavior. Findings in this study support that culture bound consumer characteristics vary from country to country resulting in differences in perception of quality, value and purchase intentions for a particular product. The perception of product quality differs from perception of value and subsequent willingness to buy. For a comprehensive understanding of consumer purchase behavior, the impact of value-conscious attitude on percetion of quality and on purchase intentions should be examined.

환경의식적 소비자행동과 환경규제방안에 대한 지지도 (Environmentally Conscious Consumer Behavior and Support on the Environmental Regulation)

  • The purpose of this study was (1) to investigate the level of environmentally conscious consumer behavior and support on the environmental regulation, and (2) to identify the influencing variables and causal relationship. Data were collected from questionnares with 1050 male and female consumers who were in the age of 20∼49 and residents of 6 cities(Seoul, Pusan, Taegu, Kwangju, Taejoen, Inchon). The major findings were as follows: (1) The level of environmentally conscious behavior was relatively high and differed significantly according to sex, age, education and marital status. (2) The level of support on the environmental regulation measures, consumers' support on the company regulation measures was most strong. (4) Sex, age, marital status, environment awareness and environmentally conscious behavior had positive effects on consumers' support on the environmental regulation directly and indirectly.

Primary tooth aspiration during conscious sedation with N2O: foreign body removal with rigid bronchoscopy

  • A 7-year-old girl visited the Samsung Medical Center emergency room for primary tooth aspiration during primary tooth extraction under conscious sedation with N2O. The patient showed no signs of respiratory complications. Chest radiography and CT revealed a tooth in the right bronchi. Foreign body removal using rigid bronchoscopy was performed on the day of aspiration. With close monitoring of the airway in the pediatric ICU, extubation was performed the next day, and the patient was discharged the same day. The primary objective of this case report was to highlight the potential risk of aspiration associated with the use of N2O gas for conscious sedation.
