In this paper, a protection system using a Multi-Agent concept for power distribution networks is proposed. Every digital over current relay(OCR) is developed as an agent by adding its own intelligence, self-tuning and communication ability. The main advantage of the Multi-Agent concept is that a group of agents work together to achieve a global goal which is beyond the ability of each individual agent. In order to cope with frequent changes in the network operation condition and faults, an OCR agent, suggested in this paper, is able to detect a fault or a change in the network and find its optimal parameters for protection in an autonomous manner considering information of the whole network obtained by communication between other agents. Through this kind of coordination and information exchanges, not only a local but also a global protective scheme is completed. Simulations in a simple distribution network show the effectiveness of the suggested protection system.

In this study, a framework for web-based information system in VDN environment for safety and health monitoring in subway stations is suggested. Since physical variables that describing safety and health need to be closely monitored in multiple locations in subway stations, concept of distributed monitoring network using wireless media needs to be implemented. Connecting remote wireless sensor network and device (LonWorks) networks to the IP network based on the concept of VDN can provide a powerful, integrated and distributed monitoring performance, making a web-based information system possible.

Recently, new concept of energy systems such as microgrid, smart grid, supergrid, and energy network has been introducing. In this paper, the concept of the centralized micro-energy network, which is an energy community of a building group without district heating system, is introduced. In addition, a mathematical model for optimal operation of the micro-energy network as a main function of an energy management system (EMS) for the micro-energy network is proposed. In order to show the validation, the proposed model is tested through the simulation and analyzed.

A well-designed computer network technology produces benefits on several fields within the organization, between the organizations(suborganizations) or among different organizations(suborganizations). Network technology streamlines business processes, decision process. Graphs are useful data structures capable of efficiently representing a variety of networks in the various fields. Metagraph is a like graph theoretic construct introduced recently by Basu and Blanning in which there is set to set mapping in place of node to node as in a conventional graph structure. Metagraph is thus a new type of data structure occupying its popularity among the computer scientists very fast. Every graph is special case of Metagraph. In this paper the authors introduce the notion of Meta-Networking as a new network technological representation, which is having all the capabilities of crisp network as well as few additional capabilities. It is expected that the notion of meta-networking will have huge applications in due course. This paper will play the role of introducing this new concept to the network technologists and scientists.

Routing in ATM network is set up by combination of both virtual path routing and virtual channel routing. While virtual channel is similar concept to virtual circuit of data networks, virtual path is a special concept which is not used in traditional data networks. Virtual path can rearrange in structure and size by simply changing virtual path routing tables and giving the network the capability to eash allocate network resources according to the demand needs. This paper provides reconfiguration models of virtual path network which give the bandwidth of link and the routing path for each traffic class. The reconfiguration models are network optimization problems of multicommodity network flow type. The numerical examples are also included.

In the current Internet system, there are many problems using anonymity of the network communication such as personal information leaks and crimes using the Internet system. This is why TCP/IP protocol used in Internet system does not have the user identification information on the communication data, and it is difficult to supervise the user performing the above acts immediately. As a study for solving the above problem, there is the study of Policy Based Network Management (PBNM). This is the scheme for managing a whole Local Area Network (LAN) through communication control for every user. In this PBNM, two types of schemes exist. As one scheme, we have studied theoretically about the Destination Addressing Control System (DACS) Scheme with affinity with existing internet. By applying this DACS Scheme to Internet system management, we will realize the policy-based Internet system management. In this paper, to realize it, concept of the Internet PBNM Scheme is proposed as the final step.

Concept is the set of selected neurons in a stable state of a neurel network. The Recognitron uses a parallel feedback structure to support concept learning. A number of clusters can exist in response to a given input, each of which make up a selective neuron. There are supervised and unsupervised learnig methods in concept teaming. In this paper, we have chosen unsupervised learning. Also, a new concept called relaxational learning has been introduced to stop runaway weights

To promote academic researches on earth environment utilizing satellite data, research infrastructure such as satellite data reception processing, distribution and archival systems should be fully provided. The means to enhance the infrastructure were discussed by a working group and“Satellite Data Center via Network”has been proposed. This concept has three principles; (1) To realize necessary functions by organizing experts distributed all over Japan and connecting them by network, (2) To realize“Satellite Data Center via Network”for GMS and NOAA Satellites, which are widely used for research, and (3) Satellite data set oriented to specific research area should be generated by researchers having definite research purposes of sensor algorithms and hugh volume data processing. Utilization of the Science Information Network (SINET) has been discussed to realize this concept, and to accelerate this project an experiment“Network Utilization for Wide Area Use of Satellite Image Data”under“Cooperative Experiment on Multimedia Communication”has been introduced. And the roles of the Institute of Industrial Science, University of Tokyo to contribute this project has been described.

웹의 방대한 데이터에서 사용자에게 유용한 정보를 제공하기 위하여 다양한 연구가 시도되고 있다. 웹 사용 마이닝은 웹 사용자의 로그 정보를 기반으로 웹페이지를 평가할 수 있는 유용한 방법이다. 하지만 웹 사용 마이닝을 이용한 웹 페이지 평가에는 사용자들의 다양한 성향 패턴을 무시한 일괄적인 모델을 생성하는데 주를 이루고 있다. 본 논문은 사용자 관심 키워드에 대한 웹 페이지 사용 정보를 수집하고 분석하여 멀티 컨셉 네트워크(Multi Concept Network : MC-Net)를 생성한다. MC-Net은 사용자 관심 키워드에 기반한 다양한 성향 정보에 따른 웹 페이지 연결망을 제공한다. 생성된 MC-Net은 웹 페이지 추천을 위하여 유용하게 사용할 수 있으며, 실험을 통하여 제안하는 방법의 유효함을 확인하였다.

Social Network has been known as friendship basis human relation service in online network. But a broad sense of Social Network can be explained as a mechanism which makes web evolve to information-ecosystem by human relation and network data which has been generated by the mass of people's cooperation and interchange. Social Network has been expanding their domain from friendship basis relation service to broad social relationship focus of matter of concern. It has been applied to diverse domain. Library community begins to take an interest in Social Network concept to apply user's interchange for information. This paper considers the concept of Social network and it's appliance to a library service. For the more, suggest basic element for vitalizing library user's Social network.
