매트릭스 팬슬 방법의 데이터 불균형 제거 기법 (Data De-weighting in Matrix Pencil Method)

  • 잘 알려진 매트릭스 팬슬 방법은 정적이지 않은 환경 및 주파수가 같은 다중경로 신호가 존재 할때도 동작하는 입사각 추정방식이다. 매트릭스 팬슬방식은 기존의 공분산행렬을 사용한 방식보다 더 좋은 분해능을 보여 줄뿐 아니라 계산량의 측면에서도 매우 효과적이다. 본 논문에서는 매트릭스 팬슬 방식의 계산 과정에서 발생되는 데이터의 가중치가 균형이 맞지 않음으로써 생기는 영향에 관해 기술한다. 데이터의 균형이 맞는 새로운 방식의 매트릭스 팬슬 방식을 제안하고 데이터의 불균형을 해소할 수 있음을 보여주었다.

  • 설계효과는 새로운 표본설계를 계획하거나 기존 표본조사에 적용된 설계요소의 효율성을 평가하는데 널리 사용된다. 본 연구에서는 Gabler 등 (2006)이 제시한 설계효과모형을 층화이단집락추출의 표본설계로 이루어진 2013 식품소비행태조사에 응용하여 적용하였다. 조사결과를 통해 표본설계모형의 유용성과 적절성에 대해 논의하였다.

  • This paper presents a comparison of homogenization techniques implemented in the APOLLO3 platform for transport core calculations: standard scalar flux weighting and new flux-moment homogenization, in different combinations with (or without) leakage models. Besides the historical B1-homogeneous model, a new B-heterogeneous one has indeed been implemented recently in the two/three-dimensional-transport solver using the method of characteristics. First analyses have been performed on a very simple Sodium Fast Reactor core with a regular hexagonal lattice. They show that using the heterogeneous leakage model in association with flux-moment homogenization strongly improves the prediction of $k_{eff}$ and void reactivity effects. These good results are confirmed when the application is done to the fissile assemblies of the more complex CFV (Low Void Effect) core of the ASTRID (Advanced Sodium Technological Reactor for Industrial Demonstration) project of sodium-cooled fast breeder reactor (Generation IV).

네트워크구조 의사결정기법을 이용한 LCA 환경영향평가 (Environmental Impact Assessment in LCA Using Analytic Network Process)

  • 환경영향평가는 전과정평가(Life Cycle Assessment : LCA)의 인벤토리 분석과정에서 규명된 환경부하의 값으로 표현하고 상대적인 중용도를 측정하는 단계이다. 이러한 가중치를 측정하므로서 개별제품 또는 기술에 대한 환경부하의 영향을 평가하는데 이용될 수 있다. 본 연구에서는 환경영향평가에 대한 분석에서 환경부하의 상대적인 중요도 혹은 가중치를 산출하기 위하여 일반적으로 이용되는 계층적 의사결정모형(Hierarchical decision model)의 한계인 요인들간의 독립성을 극복할 수 있는 즉, 의사결정요인간 상호영향력을 가지는 네트워크 구조(Network decision model)에서도 사용될 수 있는 의사 결정모형( Analytic Network Process : ANP)을 도입한다. ANP로부터 얻어지는 각 의사결정요인의 가중치는 환경부하의 수준을 결정하는데 용이하게 이용할 수 있다.

국민건강영양조사 자료의 복합표본설계효과와 통계적 추론 (Complex sample design effects and inference for Korea National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey data)

  • Nutritional researchers world-wide are using large-scale sample survey methods to study nutritional health epidemiology and services utilization in general, non-clinical populations. This article provides a review of important statistical methods and software that apply to descriptive and multivariate analysis of data collected in sample surveys, such as national health and nutrition examination survey. A comparative data analysis of the Korea National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey (KNHANES) was used to illustrate analytical procedures and design effects for survey estimates of population statistics, model parameters, and test statistics. This article focused on the following points, method of approach to analyze of the sample survey data, right software tools available to perform these analyses, and correct survey analysis methods important to interpretation of survey data. It addresses the question of approaches to analysis of complex sample survey data. The latest developments in software tools for analysis of complex sample survey data are covered, and empirical examples are presented that illustrate the impact of survey sample design effects on the parameter estimates, test statistics, and significance probabilities (p values) for univariate and multivariate analyses.

설계효과모형을 통한 설계요소의 유용성 이해 (Understanding Complex Design Features via Design Effect Models)

  • 조사자료분석에 있어서 표본추정량에 대해 설계요소가 갖는 효율성은 단순확률추출과 비교한 복잡표본설계의 의한 표본추출이 주는 분산의 상대적 크기인 설계효과를 통해 평가할 수 있다. 설계효과의 유용성은 복잡설계요소의 함수형태로 표현될 수 있을때 극대화될 수 있다. 본 연구에서는 층화다단추출의 표본설계에서 적용될 수 있는 설계효과모형을 제시하였다. 제시된 설계효과모형은 기존 다단추출을 위한 Gabler 등 (1999, 2006)의 모형을 일반화한 것으로 층구조, 표본할당, 집락추출 및 불균등가중치 등의 설계요소들이 정도수준에 갖는 영향력을 함수식으로 명확히 나타내주고 있다. 이를 활용하면 사전에 기술된 추정정도를 얻기 위해 설정한 표본크기가 줄 수 있는 설계효과를 예측하는데 활용할 수 있다. 또한 사후적으로 표본설계의 개별 설계요소들이 표본추정량에 대해 갖는 효율성을 평가하는데 활용될 수 있다.

통계적 방법을 이용한 적외선 신호 대비값 계산 방법 연구 (STUDY ON STATISTICAL ESTIMATION OF IRRADIANT CONTRAST)

  • Infrared signals are frequently used to detect objects exposed to wide variety of environmental conditions. Detection by infrared signature is accomplished by distinguishing objects by using the IR radiant contrast between objects and the background. There are several methods of estimating the IR radiant contrast. The inverse distance weighting method, which is one of the IR radiant contrast estimation method using the effect of distance from objects, is known to be an effective way to analyze radiant contrast for complex backgrounds. However this method has a disadvantage of requiring a long calculation time. In this study we propose a statistical method of estimating the IR radiant contrast by using randomly selected pixels of arbitrary number among background pixels to reduce calculation time. Some measured IR images in MWIR and LWIR regions are used to test the applicability of the method proposed and we found that the proposed method is very effective in determining the IR radiant contrast showing very rapid estimation with minar accuracy loss.

감쇠비 불확실성을 고려한 유연구조물의 H 제어기 설계 (H Controller Design of Flexible Space Structure with the Uncertainty of Damping Ratio)

  • The flexible structure like solar array and antenna in spacecraft shows very sensitive responses to the inner or outer disturbance and noise. And the spacecraft becomes more complex and larger as it has various mission and role. But since the spacecraft need to have the limited mass, the thin and light material should be selected and this necessity induces the decrease d natural frequency and structural stiffness. It reduces the ability of adapting to the disturbance and induces the structural unstability. Certainly, the disturbance does not only make the structural unstability, but also give the bad effect to the precise attitude control. So it is necessary to control the vibration in the space. In this paper, the flexible structure control modeling with piezo sensor and piezo actuator is developed. The model uncertainty of damping ratio is overcome by robust control. The system equation is induced by the finite element method.

기온감률 효과 적용에 따른 공간내삽기법의 기온 추정 정확도 비교 (Accuracy Comparison of Air Temperature Estimation using Spatial Interpolation Methods according to Application of Temperature Lapse Rate Effect)

  • Since the terrain of Korea is complex, micro- as well as meso-climate variability is extreme by locations in Korea. In particular, air temperature of agricultural fields is influenced by topographic features of the surroundings making accurate interpolation of regional meteorological data from point-measured data. This study was carried out to compare spatial interpolation methods to estimate air temperature in agricultural fields surrounded by rugged terrains in South Korea. Four spatial interpolation methods including Inverse Distance Weighting (IDW), Spline, Ordinary Kriging (with the temperature lapse rate) and Cokriging were tested to estimate monthly air temperature of unobserved stations. Monthly measured data sets (minimum and maximum air temperature) from 588 automatic weather system(AWS) locations in South Korea were used to generate the gridded air temperature surface. As the result, temperature lapse rate improved accuracy of all of interpolation methods, especially, spline showed the lowest RMSE of spatial interpolation methods in both maximum and minimum air temperature estimation.

긍정적 감정에 따른 선언적 지식에 관한 비전형적 연상 과정에 대한 인지모델링 (Cognitive Modeling of Unusual Association with Declarative Knowledge by Positive Affect)

  • The aim of this study was to model unusual association with declarative knowledge by positive affect using ACT-R cognitive architecture. Existing research related with cognitive modeling tends to pay a lot of attention to strong and negative cognitive moderator. Mild positive affect, however, has far-reaching effects on problem solving and decision making. Typically, subjects with positive affect were more likely to respond to unusual associates in a word association task than subjects with neutral affect. In this study, a cognitive model using ACT-R cognitive architecture was developed to show the effect of positive affect on the cognitive organization related with memory. First, we organized the memory structure of stimulus word 'palm' based on published results in a word association task. Then, we decreased an ACT-R parameter that reflects the amount of weighting given to the dissimilarity between the stimulus word and the associate word to represent reorganized memory structure of the model by positive affect. As a result, no significant associate probability difference between model prediction and existing empirical data was found. The ACT-R cognitive architecture could be used to model the effect of positive affect on the unusual association by decreasing (manipulating) the weight of the dissimilarity. This study is useful in conducting model-based evaluation of the effects of positive affect in complex tasks involving memory, such as creative problem solving.
