본 연구에서는 고속의 병렬 알고리즘을 이용하여 실시간 디지털 신호를 처리할 수 있는 16x16 고속의 CMOS 승산기를 설계하였다. 설계된 병렬 승산기는 modified Booth's 알고리즘과 Ling's approach를 이용하여 4열의 가산기와 8개의 Booth 디코더로 구성하였으며, 2's complement의 데이터와 계수를 처리할 수 있도록 설계하였다. 또한 VLSI 구현에 적합하도록 modulrity하고 regularity하게 모든 회로를 설계하고 규칙적으로 내부 배열을하여 testavility가 용이하도록 설계하였다.

Fuzzy regression is used as a complement or an alternative to represent the relation between variables among the forecasting models especially when the data is insufficient to evaluate the relation. Such phenomenon often occurs in seasonal time series data which require large amount of data to describe the underlying pattern. Semiparametric model is useful tool in the case where domain knowledge exists about the function to be estimated or emphasis is put onto understandability of the model. In this paper we propose fuzzy semiparametric support vector regression so that it can provide good performance on forecasting of the seasonal time series by incorporating into fuzzy support vector regression the basis functions which indicate the seasonal variation of time series. In order to indicate the performance of this method, we present two examples of predicting the seasonal time series. Experimental results show that the proposed method is very attractive for the seasonal time series in fuzzy environments.

Xenotransplantation is proposed as a solution to the problem of organ shortage. However, transplantation of xenogeneic organs induces an antigen-antibody reaction in ${\alpha}$-1,3-gal structure that are not present in humans and primates, and thus complement is also activated and organs die within minutes or hours. In this study, we used FasL gene, which is involved in the immune response of NK cell, and US11, which suppresses MHC Class I cell membrane surface expression, to inhibit cell mediated rejection in the interspecific immunity rejection, and also hDAF(CD55) was introduced to confirm the response to C3 complement. These genes were tranfeced into Korean native pig fetal fibroblasts using pCAGGS vector. And cytotoxicity of NK cell and human complement was confirmed in each cell line. The US11 inhibited the cytotoxicity of NK cell and, in addition, the simultaneous expression of US11 and Fas ligand showed excellent suppress to T-lymphocyte cytotoxicity, hDAF showed weak resistance to cytotoxicity of natural killer cell but not in CD8+ CTLs. Cytotoxicity study with human complement showed that hDAF was effective for reducing complement reaction. In this studies have demonstrated that each gene is effective in reducing immune rejection.

We study the geometry of lightlike hypersurfaces M of an inde nite cosymplectic manifold $\bar{M}$ such that either (1) the characterist vector field $\zeta$ of $\bar{M}$ belongs to the screen distribution S(TM) of M or (2) $\zeta$ belongs to the orthogonal complement $S(TM)^{\perp}$ of S(TM) in $T\bar{M}$.

By using basic paths in the 0-tree of a linear TPMACA C we obtain the state-transition diagram of complemented CA C'derived from C such that the complement vector is a nonzero attractor of C. Also we analyze the behavior of C'.

Metalloprotease produced in Vibrio mimicus, in which zinc is an essential meta ion for catalytic activity, degrades a variety of biologically important substances including human collagen, several complement components, and immunoglobulin. Machine learning methods such as support vector machines and random forests yield nonparametric prediction functions of the form y = $f(x_1,{\ldots},x_p)$. As a sequel to the previous article (Huh and Lee, 2008) for visualizing nonparametric functions, I propose more sensible graphs for visualizing y = $f(x_1,{\ldots},x_p)$ herein which has two clear advantages over the previous simple graphs. New graphs will show a small number of prototype curves of $f(x_1,{\ldots},x_{j-1},x_j,x_{j+1}{\ldots},x_p)$, revealing statistically plausible portion over the interval of $x_j$ which changes with ($x_1,{\ldots},x_{j-1},x_{j+1},{\ldots},x_p$). To complement the visual display, matching importance measures for each of p predictor variables are produced. The proposed graphs and importance measures are validated in simulated settings and demonstrated for an environmental study.

Shuttle plasmid vector인 pHN114를 이용하여 Kluyveromyces fragilis의 3-isopropylmalate dehydrogenase 유전자를 cloning 하였다. 그 결과 Saccharomyces cerevisiae의 leu2변이와 E.coli의 leuB변이를 상보하는 두가지 clone 체 pJK104와 pJK106을 얻었다. Restriction mapping 결과 이들은 서로 반대방향으로 삽입되어 있었으며 expression activity는 pJK104가 높았다. pJK104에 삽입된 유전자를 BglII와 SalI으로 끊은 1.6kb fragment를 probe 로 하여 Southern Hybridization 한 결과 유전자의 유래가 Kluyveromyces fragilis 임을 확인하였다.
