Although the two types of currencies compete, the possibility of a virtual currency price bubble is diagnosed by assuming an economic model with currencies (won, virtual currency) that are intrinsically worthless. The won is supplied by the central bank to achieve the price stability target, while the supply of virtual currency increases by a fixed number. According to the basic price theory equation, as a simple proposition, cryptocurrency prices form a Martin Gale process [Schilling and Uhlig, 2019, p.20]. Based on the existing theoretical proposition, we applied the variance ratio verification method [Linton and Smetanina, 2016] and a simple technical chart method for empirical analysis. For the purpose of this study, the possibility of a bubble was empirically analyzed by analyzing the price volatility formed in the Korean virtual currency market over the past year, and brief policy implications for this were presented.

Responding to the fierce market competition and trying to cut personnel costs, the construction industry in Taiwan is adopting atypical employment in human resource. To discover this trend, this study employed a questionnaire survey to investigate the current use of atypical employment by domestic contractors and its possible impacts on the industry. According to the 103 returned valid questionnaires, 40.8% of the respondent contractors have applied some atypical employment types in recent three years and most of them used fixed-term employment. The major reasons the contractors used atypical employees are to reduce personnel costs, to deal with business fluctuations and to streamline personnel. According to the respondents, there is no significant difference between the advantages and disadvantages of using a large number of atypical employees in the short term. However, in the long term, atypical employment is generally more disadvantageous than advantageous.

Given the intense competition and slowdown in domestic demands, there is greater pressure on Singapore contractors to seek overseas markets for revenue and growth. This impetus, coupled with emerging economic reforms in the regional developing countries, has invariably created numerous opportunities for Singapore contractors. However, mixed results were reported on their overseas performance so far. Consequently, this paper aims to formulate a framework that would assist Singapore contractors to successfully export their services into developing countries. The proposed framework comprises ten critical success factors (CSFs), which are identified from in-depth interviews with eight Singapore contractors. These ten success factors are subsequently classified under three different stages, namely initial, entry and operational stages. Preliminary results show that Singapore contractors are most focused on the entry stage, with the highest number of CSFs.

Knowledge has been considered one of the important elements that determine our future. Competitive power of an enterprise has also been transformed from labor, capital, and technology-oriented to knowledge-oriented. Current construction environment is experiencing overall decrease of number of construction contracts due to opening of domestic construction market and economic slump, problems on methods of receiving orders/bidding, and change of costumers' attitude, which intensify competition, therefore many companies consider adopting knowledge management to secure their competitive power. However, there are difficulties in adopting knowledge management and increasing the use by establishing management plan, Performance Measurement, and knowledge maintenance system in reality. Therefore, this study is to provide assistance to successful realization of knowledge management by suggesting development plan of knowledge management that enables knowledge management more efficient with certain goals.

The research is centered on veteran educators in the field of early childhood education who possess more than 20 years of teaching experience and have been recognized with awards for their outstanding achievements. The selection of participants was based on specific criteria, such as the number of years of experience and recognition received from the Ministry of Education's Teaching Innovation Competition in Korea. Eight teachers who met the specified criteria were selected to participate in the study. A qualitative phenomenological research study was carried out using semi-structured interviews to gain insight into the experiences and perspectives of the participants. The study identified five main themes: cultivating interpersonal relationships, establishing interactive classroom settings, providing impactful educational methodologies, facilitating healthy habits and character education, and creating a supportive environment for teachers' well-being. The study seeks to improve comprehension of teaching methodologies and offer suggestions for professional development, teacher training, and educational policies.

In recent years, public attention to health and wellness issues has increased. The integration of smart fitness hardware and innovative technologies have made the development of smart fitness a trend. The number of fitness applications in the market has surged, and demand for an optimal experience is increasingly high. This study selects Sweatcoin, Home Workout, Six Pack in 30 Days, and Fitness Coach & Diet as research subjects from the top ten global mobile health and fitness apps in 2022 based on download rankings. The research is based on eight gamification elements: motivation, challenge, achievement, relationships, sharing, reward, level, and competition, identified through preliminary studies. We distributed a total of 166 questionnaires to users and collected 163 valid responses for data analysis. The Kano Model was used to study the desires of fitness enthusiasts using fitness apps. To reduce the limitations of the research results, the Better-Worse Method was employed for satisfaction index analysis. Based on the final analysis, we propose suggestions for improvement for the four fitness apps to better meet user needs and create a more attractive and efficient application experience.
Differences in critical period of weed competition were investigated among five types of rice(Oryza sativa L.) cultivation. Increase in weed-free period resulted in 1-2 days delay of heading date in machine transplanting and direct-seeding as compared with complete weed-free plot. When weedy period increased, there was no difference in heading date in transplanting cultivations. In direct-seeding, however, weedy period of 7-10 weeks after seeding(WAS) resulted in 4-7 days delay of heading date, whereas further increase in the weedy period caused rather 5-6 days advance in heading date. Weed-free period did not significantly affect yield components in conventional hand transplanting. In machine transplanting with 30-day-old seedling decreases in percent ripening and 1,000-grain weight were caused by weeds emerged within 4 weeks after transplanting(WAT). All yield components were decreased due to weedy period in machine transplanting with 10-day-old seedling. In direct-seeding weedy periods caused to decrease in number of panicles, number of spikelets, percent ripening, and 1,000-grain weight were 8-9, 4-5, 3-4, and 8-10 WAS, respectively. The critical periods of weed competition were determined as the following. In conventional hand transplanting weed-free must be maintained for either 4 weeks after transplanting or the rest period after 8 WAT. In machine transplanting with 30-day-old seedling weed-free must keep for either 5 weeks after transplanting or the rest period after 8 WAT. In machine transplanting with 10-day-old seedling weeds must be removed for either 5 weeks after transplanting or the rest period after 7 WAT. Weed-free must be kept between 5 and 7 WAS in flood direct-seeded rice and between 6 and 9 WAS in dry direct-seeded rice.
The aim of the study is to examine the factors affecting publicness and efficiency of the regional public hospitals and specify their relationship, thereby drawing out the policy implications for further improvement of regional hospital management. The analytical results showed the followings. First, there were statistically significant mean differences between the above-the-mean group and the below-the-mean group in terms of the internal and external environmental factors and intensity of competition. Second, When the hospitals were divided into two groups based on the mean value of efficiency, the ratio of material costs, of operational costs, and of doctors, and GRDP per capita of the above-the-mean group and the below-the-mean group showed the significant mean differences. Finally, among the variables of publicness, the ratio of medical aid patients and the number of deliveries had the negative relationships with efficiency whereas the medical costs of medical aid recipients had a positive relationship. The general argument that the government should enlarge its support for the regional hospitals' publicness needs to be specified in terms of the particular components of publicness based on this study. Also, to determine the extent of government support, the further research on the external environmental factors that cannot be controlled by the hospitals, for instance, intensity of competition, GRDP per capita, and fiscal self-reliance, should be encouraged.
This experiment was conducted to identify the competitive ability of rice against Monochoria vaginalis Presl. and to determine effect of various herbicides on it. Photosynthetic efficiency of rice markedly increased as the density of M. vaginalis increased from 1 to 3 plants per hill. Competition index increased in propotional to an increase of M. vaginalis density while total dry matter of rice decreased in reverse. Significant yield reduction of rice, was observed at the density of M. vaginalis, 2 plants per hill and 37% at 3 plants per hill. Such a yield reduction can be mainly attributed to the decrease of panicle and spikelet number of rice which were greatly affected by competition with M. vaginalis. Regardless of herbicides tested, % inhibition increased remarkably as the concentration of herbicides increased from 1 to 20 ppm. No plant growth was observed in all the herbicides treated with 20 ppm except for butachlor, thiobencarb and bifenox, showing existence of the new promising herbicides to control M. vaginalis among the herbicides tested.
All types of weed community became dominant by Monochoria vaginalis (Burm.) Presl. as the nitrogen level increased. The importance value (IV.) of M vaginalis rapidly increased with increasing nitrogen level whereas the LV. of other weed species decreased. At the 10 $\times$ 10cm plant spacing, M. vaginalis was almost totally suppressed at all nitrogen levels. At the 20 $\times$ 20cm plant spacing, the degree of suppression declined with increasing nitrogen level. At the 30 $\times$ 30cm plant spacing, there was no suppression of M vaginalis at the highest nitrogen level. The yield obtained at the 10 $\times$ 10cm plant spacing when M. vaginalis was present was not significantly different from that obtained from the weed free plot for all rice cultivars while it was significantly reduced by M vaginalis competition at the 20 $\times$ 20cm and 30 $\times$ 30cm plant spacings. The difference in yield caused by M vaginalis competition was primarily due to a reduction in the number of panicles at all nitrogen levels. There was a high negative correlation between grain yield and weed weight at heading. The yield reduction due to weed competition varied depending upon the nitrogen level.
