Thanks to the informatization of society, complex and high-tech devices are being introduced in all areas of human life, and the latest technologies are being actively improved in the modern, globalizing world. The article deals with the issues of using information and communication technologies in legal activities. It also covers the main types of such activities: law-making, law enforcement, and interpretive activity. Since there is an increase in the flow and accumulation of legal information, it is practically impossible to use traditional methods of working with legal information. The article considers and analyzes the role of information and communication technologies in modern legal activity. It is necessary to reveal the principles, concepts, conditions, and factors of their development and develop theoretical and practical recommendations for the use of such technologies in order to solve legal tasks. The authors of the article raise the issues of increasing the efficiency of legal activity, as well as the integration of information technologies into practical legal activity and their use for collecting, storing, searching, and issuing legal and reference information. Much attention is paid to the specific use of automated data banks and information retrieval systems in legal practice that ensure the accumulation, systematization, and effective search for legally important information. The development of such technologies leads to the creation of comfortable conditions for a lawyer in the course of their professional activity. Currently, legal activity cannot exist without telecommunication technologies, legal reference systems, and electronic programs. The authors believe that due to the use of the latest information technologies, the time for making legal decisions has significantly accelerated, the process of searching and systematizing evidence has been worked out, and it has become possible to quickly and efficiently find information on adopted laws and legal acts.

In this paper, the contemporary deployment of broadband and Internet-of-Things (IoT) services based on the Low Earth Orbit (LEO) satellite communication network is presented. First, the global service and key technologies of small and nanosatellites are briefly addressed, and then, the progress of relevant standard technologies is explained. Finally, the overall potential for the future development of the LEO satellite communication network is highlighted.

This study aims to describe the overall aspects of future technologies in Korea based on the new taxonomy of technology foresight ; Theme, Area and Paradigm. This taxonomy is designed to overcome and supplement several studies on technology foresights which are judged not to capture the whole aspects of future technologies. Future technologies in Korea will be influenced by the Information and Communication Technology Paradigm over 20-30 years, and by the Biotechnology Paradigm after that period. Expansion of researches in electronics, information and communication is noticeable features in engineering. The application of biotechnology technique and health/environment technologies are emerging in bioscience area. Also there appear new areas related to the trends of engineering and bioscience in natural science. Current research patterns focusing physics, chemistry and engineering in Korea should be changed to those of the advanced countries which emphasize bioscience. Time lag to the world frontier is over 5-6 years, but the lag is expected to be reduced. The shortage of manpower and research funds are pointed as the biggest barrier for the realization of future technologies.

Information-Centric Networking (ICN) has been recognized as a new networking technology for the upcoming data-centric 4th industrial revolution based society. In addition, it has noted that Pub/Sub-style communication is rapidly growing in areas including big data processing and microservice as well as the existing Internet of Things and social networking technologies. Therefore, ICN is highly needed to efficiently support Pub/Sub-style communication for successful deployment as a next-generation network infrastructure technology. This paper summarizes the recent research trends of Pub/Sub communication technologies over ICN, and discusses future research issues.

The purpose of this article is to consider the distance education system, its principles, features and means. One of its existing and promising tools is video conferencing. The fishing industry in Europe has faced environmental, economic, and social challenges. Since the early 2000s, a key tool in addressing these challenges has been information and communication technology (ICT), which has helped to modernize fishery systems in European Union (EU) countries. The ICT used in EU fisheries can be categorized broadly as 1) macro-technologies such as satellite and other remote sensing technologies in combination with geographical information systems, 2) micro-technologies adapted for fishing vessels such as echo sounders, ship navigation devices, and mobile communication devices to connect fishermen and consumers, and 3) onshore micro-technologies related to internet technology and mobile devices. The European Monitoring Center on Change has used ICT to effectively manage fisheries bio-resources. This use of ICT has contributed to the development of sustainable and competent fisheries in the 2000s, even though the knowledge-sharing practices involved are contrary to the long tradition of autonomy within the fishery industry.

In 2D-to-3D video conversion process, the virtual left and right view can be generated from 2D video and its corresponding depth map by depth image based rendering (DIBR). The depth map plays an important role in conversion system, so the copyright protection for depth map is necessary. However, the provided virtual views may be distributed illegally and the depth map does not directly expose to viewers. In previous works, the copyright information embedded into the depth map cannot be extracted from virtual views after the DIBR process. In this paper, a new copyright protection scheme for the depth map is proposed, in which the copyright information can be detected from the virtual views even without the depth map. The experimental results have shown that the proposed method has a good robustness against JPEG attacks, filtering and noise.

The object of this paper is to describe the ubiquitous computing technologies for ship, which is produced and assembled by many steel blocks. It includes the testing of a 2.4GHz wireless communications platforms and radio-frequency identification technology with the blocks disturbing the wireless communication. The power line communication that is established in a ship already is also experimented for some data transfer. Also, possible application areas of the ubiquitous computing technology to ships are discussed. At last, the test bed copied from an actual vessel was installed and data acquisition tests were established using wire and wireless communication. In this paper, we implemented some ubiquitous computing technologies in the test bed simulating a ship environment and investigated the basic characteristics of ubiquitous computing technologies.

Since digital economy and electronic commerce are evolving rapidly. further shaping process of e-commerce over the Internet would be highly influenced by the impact of electronic commerce technologies. That is. the widespread application of electronic commerce technologies is remoulding classic business patterns and enabling organizations to deal with new ways of doing business with global suppliers. distributors, marketers and consumers. The objective of this study is to examine the scheme of electronic commerce technologies. analyzing the current state and what is expected of them In the future. However, it is difficult to clarify relationships with the every electronic commerce technology and to analyze the progress of each of them. This study focuses on the major electronic commerce application technologies relevant to e-business. In order to analyze the current state of electronic commerce technologies and relationships among them. this study has tried to gather experts' opinions using the Delphi method. For each major EC technology, this study has analyzed the current level. the technology scheme. the applicability, the economic influences of the EC technologies and the urgency of the technology development. This study will play a role of catalyser for the study of electronic commerce technologies and will provide guideline for future studies electronic commerce and information communication technology(ICT) diffusion.
