In this paper, we examined the effects of emotional and individual variables on flow in the usage of mobile application. We selected four relevant emotional and individual factors such as positive affect, negative affect, addiction and habituation. We also attempted to figure out the moderating role of communication in the effect of positive affect, negative affect, and addiction on the flow. For empirical analysis, we surveyed real users of mobile application and applied PLS (Partial Least Square) methodology for SEM (Structural Equation Modeling). As a result, we found that positive affect, addiction, and habituation have significant and positive impact on the flow. Furthermore, we also found that the moderating effects of communication on the relationships between positive/negative affect and communication are significant. Our findings provide important theoretical grounds for the effects of human behavior and emotion on the flow of mobile applications. Lastly, we also suggest significant managerial implications for the development mobile applications industry.

The AC power lines and signal lines of info-communication networks are routed on overhead poles and are highly exposed to lightning strikes. Due to the potential difference between grounding points of AC power lines and signal lines, the electronic equipments connected to the signal lines can easily be damaged by lightning surges. In this work, in order to develop reliable methods of protecting information and communication facilities from lightning surges, the reliability and performance of SPDs (surge protective devices) were experimentally investigated in an actual-sized test circuit. The behaviors of SPDs against lightning surges from AC power lines and signal lines and the coordinated effects of SPD installation methods were evaluated. As a consequence, it was confirmed that the bypass arrester methods and common grounding system are both highly effective.
The purpose of this study was to examine the relations of mother-adolescent relationships and adolescents' self-esteem to their achievement motivation. The mediating role of adolescent' self-esteem was also explored in the relations between mother-adolescent relationships and their achievement motitation. The subjects of this study consisted of 284 2nd-grade middle school students living in D city. The major findings were that adolescents who experienced higher maternal warmth showed higher achievement motivation, while those who experienced higher maternal rejection/restriction showed lower achievement motivation. Adolescent who experienced higher open family communication reported higher achievement motivation, and those who experienced higher problem in family communication reported lower achievement motivation. The higher self-esteem was, the higher adolescents' achievement motivation was. Adolescents' self-esteem mediated in the relations between maternal rejection/restriction and problems in family communication and their achievement motivation.

In this paper, the optimizations of multi-hop cooperative molecular communication (CMC) system in cylindrical anomalous-diffusive channel in three-dimensional enviroment are investigated. First, we derive the performance of bit error probability (BEP) of CMC system under decode-and-forward relay strategy. Then for achieving minimum average BEP, the optimization variables are detection thresholds at cooperative nodes and destination node, and the corresponding optimization problem is formulated. Furthermore, we use conjugate gradient (CG) algorithm to solve this optimization problem to search optimal detection thresholds. The numerical results show the optimal detection thresholds can be obtained by CG algorithm, which has good convergence behaviors with fewer iterations to achieve minimized average BEP compared with gradient decent algorithm and Bisection method which are used in molecular communication.

The purpose of this study is to clarify the spatial characteristics of the children's library and user's behavioral characteristics and to empirically analyze the difference in preference of the spatial characteristics based on the using behaviors. For doing this, this study selected 16 children's libraries in the country as a sampling institute and collected and analyzed 661 questionnaires targeting infants, and the lower and upper graders. The results of analysis are as follows. First, while there was a difference in the relation between the spatial characteristics and the user's characteristics according to ages and sexes, there was no difference in the developing stage. Second, there was a difference in the relation between the spatial characteristics and the using behaviors. Detailed results are as follows. While users who visit the library for reading prefer amenity and peacefulness, those who visit the library for other reasons prefer communication and territoriality. Children prefer diversity, peacefulness and communication when they visit in group rather than to visit individually. In terms of behavioral patterns, users who act quietly prefer diversity than those who act actively. Reading use frequency, as the number of times to visit increased, preference on esthetic sense, dynamics, flexibility, leisure, communication and territoriality increased, but preference on safety decreased. As the length of visit became longer, preference on diversity, self-esteem, peacefulness, dynamics and flexibility increased.

The intervention was conducted twice a week for 4 weeks, Qualitative data were collected by interviews and video-taping for analysis of the responses of participants, Results: 1) Cognitive function, mood and problematic behaviors did not show any significantly differences after the program. 2) Analysis of the responses showed increases in verbal communication and positive action. Conclusion: The robot pet program had positive effects such as increasing communication and interaction. Therefore, this program could be considered as an effective program for emotional support for elderly people with dementia. However further repetitive study is need to validate the result.
This paper discusses cyclostationary interference suppression for multiuser wired communication systems. Crosstalk interference from digital signals in multipair cables has been shown to be cyclostationary. Many crosstalk equalization or suppression techniques have been proposed which make implicit use of the cyclostationarity of the crosstalk interferer. In this paper, the convergence and steady-state behaviors of a fractionally spaced equalizer (FSE) in the presence of multiple cyclostationary crosstalk interference are thoroughly analyzed by using the equalizer's eigenstructure. The eigenvalues with multiple cyclostationary interference depend upon the folded signal and interferer power spectra, the cross power spectrum between the signal and the interferer, and tile cross power spectrum between the interferers, which results in significantly different initial convergence and steady-state behaviors as compared to the stationary noise case. The performance of the equalizer varies depending on the relative clock phase of the symbol clocks used by the signal and multiple interferers. Measued characteristics as well as analytical model of NEXT/FEXT channel are used to compute the optimum and worst relative clock phases among the signal and multiple interferers.

Background: There is considerable evidence that leadership influences workplace safety, but less is known about the relative importance of different leadership styles for safety. In addition, a leadership style characterized by an emphasis and a focus on promoting safety has rarely been investigated alongside other more general leadership styles. Methods: Data were collected through a survey to which 269 employees in a paper mill company responded. A regression analysis was conducted to examine the relative roles of transformational, transactional (management-by-exception active; MBEA), and safety-specific leadership for different safety behavioral outcomes (compliance behavior and safety initiative behaviors) and for minor and major injuries. Results: A safety-specific leadership contributed the most to the enhanced safety of the three different kinds of leadership. Transformational leadership did not contribute to any safety outcome over and above that of a safety-specific leadership, whereas a transactional leadership (MBEA) was associated with negative safety outcomes (fewer safety initiatives and increased minor injuries). Conclusion: The most important thing for leaders aiming at improving workplace safety is to continuously emphasize safety, both in their communication and by acting as role models. This highlights the importance for leadership training programs aiming to improve safety to actually focus on safety-promoting communication and behaviors rather than general leadership. Furthermore, an overly monitoring and controlling leadership style can be detrimental to attempts at achieving improved workplace safety.

Due to the wide application of fifth generation communication, wireless sensor networks have become an indispensable part in our daily life. In this paper, we analyze physical layer security for two-way relay with energy harvesting (EH), where power splitter is considered at relay. And two kinds of combined methods, i.e., selection combining (SC) and maximum ratio combining (MRC) schemes, are employed at eavesdropper. What's more, the closed-form expressions for security performance are derived. For comparison purposes, this security behaviors for orthogonal multiple access (OMA) networks are also investigated. To gain deeper insights, the end-to-end throughput and approximate derivations of secrecy outage probability (SOP) under the high signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) regime are studied. Practical Monte-Carlo simulative results verify the numerical analysis and indicate that: i) The secure performance of SC scheme is superior to MRC scheme because of being applied on eavesdropper; ii) The secure behaviors can be affected by various parameters like power allocation coefficients, transmission rate, etc; iii) In the low and medium SNR region, the security and channel capacity are higher for cooperative non-orthogonal multiple access (NOMA) systems in contrast with OMA systems; iv) The systematic throughput can be improved by changing the energy conversion efficiency and power splitting factor. The purpose of this study is to provide theoretical direction and design of secure communication.

Social media sites like as twitter, Facebook and flicker widely used by people, not only as a source of distributing information but also as for communication purpose, with the advancement of technology today. Now a day's one of the most frequently used communication methods are social networks. In various research studies, their use in different fields and the effects of social media on student's behaviors, chat sites and blogs caused by Facebook has been analyzed. In order to obtain the basic data, a general scanning model that is public opinion and views of parents and comments that are openly available across social media sites, used to perceive attitude of graduate students, instead of traditional methods like questionnaires and survey's conduction. A dataset of nearly 20000 reviews of parents was collected from different social media networks about their children's, while in another dataset in which 362 graduate school teachers who observe the students to use social media during classes, labs and in campus during free times, their comments about those students were chosen. As per this study, through different positive and negative factors the detailed analysis has been performed to show effect of social media on student's behavior.
