본 연구는 한국에서 개봉한 영화 중, 관객 동원 1000만 명을 넘은 영화('천만영화')의 서사 구조와 그 유형을 분석함으로서 이것이 현재 한국 영화 산업계에서 시사하는 바는 무엇인지를 다루는 데 목적이 있다. 이를 위해 본 연구는 영화 산업의 상품으로서 영화와 그 서사의 관계를 파악함과 동시에, 영화의 흥행과 서사 구조의 보편성의 관계에 주목하였다. 아울러 이에 대한 접근으로서 구조주의적 분석과 원형 혹은 신화 서사적 분석의 특징에 대해 다루었다. 구체적인 분석을 위해 노드럽 프라이의 원형 서사 분석 방법을 활용하여 총 27편의 '천만영화'의 영화를 유형화 하였다. 연구결과 '희극구조가 13편, '로맨스' 구조가 7편, '비극' 구조가 4편, '아리러니 및 풍자' 구조가 3편으로 나타났다. '희극'과 '로맨스' 구조는 전체 천만영화에서 높을 비율을 나타냄과 동시에 흥행 순위에 있어서도 상위권을 점유하고 있는 것으로 확인되었다. 결론적으로, 본 연구는 한국에서 흥행한 영화들에 대한 서사적인 규칙과 관습을 확인하였으며, 이를 통해 한국 영화 산업에서 대중들의 영화 소비에 대한 대략적인 지형도를 살펴볼 수 있었다. 이는 산업적 관점에서 영화를 제작할 때 어떠한 방식으로 영화의 서사를 구성해야 하는지에 대한 하나의 실마리를 제공한다고 할 수 있다.

최근 국내외에서 주목을 받아 온 한국영화는 질적, 양적으로 성장하였지만, 제작비 상승으로 해외시장 진출을 고려하지 않으면 안 되는 시점에 와 있다. 본 연구는 한국영화 수출액의 50% 이상을 차지하는 일본 시장에 초점을 맞춰 수출된 한국 영화 특성을 분석하고자 하였다. 분석 결과 일본에 수출된 영화들은 한국에서 흥행성적이 좋았던 영화, 일본에서 인지도가 있는 감독과 배우가 출연한 영화 비중이 높았고, 내용면에서는 일본 원작 영화의 수출 비율이 높았다. 장르에 있어서는 멜로 장르의 비중이 높고 코미디 수출은 저조하여 코미디가 문화적 할인율이 높은 장르임을 시사하였다. 본 연구는 실제 데이타에 의한 계량적 분석을 통해 해외 시장에 대한 이해를 넓히고, 일본에 수출할 영화를 기획할 때 프리프로덕션 단계에 도움이 되는 정보를 제공한 의의를 가진다.

In order to scrutinize what realism really means, this paper is to analyze and compare the major realistic plays of Yun Jo-byeong of Korea with the earlier realistic ones of Bernard Shaw of England. As all the scholars concerned admit, Shaw offered reality in all of his plays: social, political, economic, religious. He was a didact, a preacher who readily acknowledged that the stage was his pulpit. Though he preached socialism, creative evolution. the abolition of prisons, real equality for women, and railed against the insincerity of motives for war, he did so as a jester in some of the finest comedy ever written. Shaw brought serious themes back to the trivialized English stage, creating a body of drama that left him second to none among twentieth century dramatists. Today, evolution and creationism and Shaw's ideas on creative evolution and the Life Force remain timely issues. As for Yun Jo-byeong who has written many realistic plays lately, he is known as a major realist in Korea. But his realistic plays are more symbolic, poetic, and private than Shaw's. As a result, Korean realism has not been so flourished in Korea as in England. Therefore, we Korean playwrights who want to write really realistic plays should try to study Shaw's realism more closely than ever.

The historicism and romanticism of John Galliano's designs are rivaled only by the spectacular and theatrical nature of his fashion shows; romantic silhouette, the complexity of the cut and, of course, the painstaking attention to historical detail. Galliano's approach is very much that of a British designer in that he absorbs wildly diverging historical and cultural elements to invent new hybridizations of the contemporary. Galliano started his career as part of the wildly uninhibited avant-garde London design scene. His designs were twisted and artfully torn, weired and also beautiful. The purpose of this study is to investigate the Comic Expression depicted on John Galliano's works by borrowing the Comic. The Comic or the Comedy is a kind of art form that signifies exciting effects, and so, is a means of raising a laugh. The similar concepts of the Comic already were depicted by means of transformation and distortion of form, satire, fantastic pastiche and reversion of substances on Cubism, Dada, Surrealism, Pop Art and Postmodernism. Therefore, John Galliano selected the quixotic expressional methods to seek for having playful fun. The aesthetics of the Comic is the beauty based on quantitative or qualitative contradiction between expectations and realizations. That is, the Comic is characterized by getting rid of stress through laugh with clarifying a subject of contradiction. This study found that John Galliano's designs are expressed the quixotic comic on Historical image, Exotic image and Primitive image to make a complaint against the social evils.

19세기 산업 혁명 이후 등장한 키치(Kitsch)는 대중문화와 고급문화를 연결시키는 역할을 하면서 오늘날에는 산업화된 현대 사회의 다양한 대중문화 속에서 새로운 미적 가치를 지니며 하나의 문화 현상으로 나타나고 있는 자리를 차지하고 있다. 한편 이 키치는 인간생활과 가장 밀접한 관련성을 가진 패션부분에서도 기존의 고정 관념에서 벗어나 파괴라는 형태를 통해 다양하고 새로운 미를 표현하고 있다. 본 연구는 치치에 대한 기본 이해와 아울러 최근의 국내 코미디 영화 속의 표현된 배우들의 패션에서는 키치가 어떻게 표현되었는지 알아 보았다.

This study introduces a new delivery method for designs as observed in the artwork trends of Damien Hirst and reflected in the unique expression methods of Modern fashion Collections. The study analyzed numerous resources (literature, dissertations, magazines, and the internet) about Damien Hirst and the examination of a modern fashion timeline is limited to after the 2000s. The 'grotesque trend' that appears in Damien Hirst's works can be classified into five categories (fragmented animal, mismatch, excessiveness and exaggeration, comedy and awfulness, and abnormality). Based on this, the study found that heterogeneous, abject abhorrence, double sided of the play, exaggerated atypia and devilishness in Modern fashion. This study suggests a positive direction for the 'grotesque technique' that could be recognized as one of the delivery methods for a unique fashion design based on the attachment of an aesthetic value that supersedes bizarreness and strangeness to expand various methods of expression.

본 연구의 목적은 온라인 개인 게임 방송에 나타난 스토리텔링의 요소 및 특징을 분석하고, 이를 통해 온라인 개인 게임 방송의 특이점을 도출하는데 있다. 이를 위해 국내외 온라인 개인 게임 방송의 대표적 사례로 유튜브 채널 와 <대도서관TV>를 연구대상으로 선정하고, 바흐친의 카니발 이론을 적용하여 방송의 스토리텔링을 분석했다. 그 결과 온라인 개인 게임 방송은 외부적으로는 매스 미디어의 방송 포맷을 변형했고, 내부적으로는 게임 텍스트 및 게임 환경을 재해석하는 과정을 거쳐 새로운 서사적 사건을 구성했다. 이 과정에서 방송 진행자 특유의 다성적 발화가 나타났으며, 비극과 희극을 역전을 통해서 오디언스로부터 카타르시스를 불러 일으켰다.

Referring to John Irving's 2001 published fiction The Fourth Hand, the publisher commented, "It seems, at first, to be a comedy, perhaps a satire, almost certainly a sexual farce. Yet, in the end, it is as realistic and emotionally moving as any of Mr. Irving's previous novels." In his early six novels, John Irving shows the world suffused with grief and deception. But his novels finally turn out also as a comic and robust novel. The writer's success in achieving this thick description of the contradictory modern world is largely due to his development of the idea of the flawed hero. Despite loss, sadness and abandonment, Irving's heroes maintain classical heroic traits such as intelligence, tenderness, protectiveness, strength, bravery, sense of humor, independence, attractiveness. In this article, I tried to emphasize these graces potent in Irving's heroes as the most attractive and influential device for the writer's consistent popularity among the general public. The cinematization of his four fictions attest to audience's sympathy toward rewarding vulnerability and truthful exaggeration in the depiction of Irving's heroes. By taking full responsibility for their own fate despite having the flaws, Irving's protagonists still appeal to many readers as heroes resilient in a modern chaotic world without losing their graces.

In his 1993 stage play, Arcadia, Tom Stoppard appropriates scientific theories to dramatize the difficulty in predicting the future and in describing the past. Arcadia tracks the archaeological efforts of two present-day literary critics, Hannah Jarvis and Bernard Nightingale, as they attempt to piece together the events that occurred at a large country house called Sidley Park, from 1809 to 1812. While employing a variety of historical and cultural references to the changes taking place in British landscape gardening around the early nineteenth century, the play also turns around the intuitive-romantic versus rational-classical dichotomy represented by Hannah, and present in its discussion of science and the recoverable/irrecoverable past. Stoppard's use of chaos theory as a metaphor for the difficulties faced by those involved in biographical/bibliographical literary research suggests that unsubstantiated assumption can result in the construction of its subject, rather than in its recovery. This paper explores the way in which Stoppard uses scientific concepts, particularly the chaos theory, as a metaphor for human life and behaviour, and how he successfully describes the dilemmas and contradictions of life in so doing. Influences from his famous British predecessors, George Bernard Shaw and Oscar Wilde, are evident, but Stoppard transcends both playwrights and crafts a dramatic style distinctively his own. The combination of wit, comedy, intellectual depth, intriguing ideas, literary allusions, scientific concepts, metaphors, and cultural references, all combine to make Arcadia a dramatic edifice that will stand the test of time.

감성을 구성하는 중요한 요소인 각성은 자율신경계 반응으로 잘 측정될 수 있음이 보고되고 있다. 그러나 자율신경계 반응만으로 각성차원과 쾌차원으로 구성된 전체감성을 측정할 수 있을지는 의문이다. 본 연구는 자율신경계 반응으로 전체 감성을 평가할 수 있는지 그 생리적 변수는 무엇인지를 분석하였다. 15명의 대학생을 대상으로 실험 목적을 위하여 제작된 8개의 동영상으로 다양한 감성을 유발했으며 자율신경계의 대표적 생리신화인 맥파(PPG), 피부저항(GSR), 피부온도(SKT)를 측정하였다. 자극제시후 주관적 감성평가를 실시하였다. 주관적 감성경험은 크게 3가지 요인으로 구성된 것으로 확인되었으며, 그 중에서 2개의 요인과 생리적 지표를 대응시키는 방안이 탐색되었다. 그 결과, 생리적 지표는 신체적으로 흥분할수록 감성경험에 따라 더욱 분명한 차이를 드러내지만 흥분수준이 낮은 경우에는 생리적인 지표만으로는 감성경험을 예측하기 어려웠다. 흥분과 평온함을 제외한 다른 감성 요인은 생리적인 지표와 직접 대응이 쉽지 않은데, 이는 상관관계가 없어서가 아니라 모든 생리지표와 감성간에 복합적인 관계가 있기 때문이었다. 특히 SKT는 흥분-평온함만을 반영하는 GSR, PPG와는 달리 불쾌-유쾌 경험과도 상관이 있는 것으로 나타났다. 따라서 SKT 지표와 불쾌-유쾌 감성 차원의 대응 가능성이 논의되었다.
