Efficient Rule-based OWL Reasoning by Combing Meta Rules and Translation (메타 규칙과 번역의 혼용을 통한 규칙엔진 기반 OWL 추론 엔진의 성능 향상 방법)

  • 생성 규칙(Production Rule)과 이를 기반으로 하는 규칙 엔진(Rule Engine)을 기반으로 한 OWL 추론 엔진은 메타 규칙((Meta Rule)에 의존해 왔다. 메타 규칙은 OWL의 의미론 (Semantics)을 표현하기 용이하여 보다 손쉽게 OWL 추론 엔진을 구현할 수 있다는 장점을 제공하였으나 OWL 추론 성능에 있어 추론 속도와 대용량 온톨로지 처리 측면에서 모두 만족할 만한 성과를 얻지 못하였다. 본 논문은 DLP(Description Logic Programming)의 번역 접근법을 기반으로 한 번역 규칙(Translation Rules)을 메타 규칙과 혼용하는 OWL 추론 기법을 소개한다. LUBM 벤치마크를 통해 이 기법이 메타 규칙만을 이용했을 때 보다 100% 이상 추론 성능을 향상시켰을 뿐 아니라 메모리 사용량도 대폭 축소시켰음을 확인할 수 있었다. 또한, 번역을 통해 제한없는 차수 제약(Cardinality Restriction) 관련 추론을 지원하는 등 보다 넓은 범위의 OWL 추론을 지원할 수 있다.

  • Fitness sharing that shares fitness if calculated distance between individuals is smaller than sharing radius is one of the representative speciation methods and can complement evolutionary algorithm which converges one solution. Recently, there are many researches on designing neural network architecture using evolutionary algorithm but most of them use only the fittest solution in the last generation. In this paper, we elaborate generating diverse neural networks using fitness sharing and combing them to compute outputs then, propose calculating distance between individuals using modified Kullback-Leibler entropy for improvement of fitness sharing performance. In the experiment of Australian credit card assessment, breast cancer, and diabetes in UCI database, proposed method performs better than not only simple average output or Pearson Correlation but also previous published methods.

Robust Sliding Mode Control for Path Tracking of Intelligent Mobile Robot

  • This paper deals with the path following problem of car-like intelligent mobile robot. A robust sliding mode control law based on time-varying state feedback is performed via Lyapunov method for path tracking of nonholonomic mobile robot with uncertainties. At first, A sliding control law is designed by combing the natural algebraic structure of the chained form system with ideas from sliding mode theory. Then, a robust control law is proposed to impose robustness against bounded uncertainties in path tracking. The problem of estimating the asymptotic stability region and the sliding domain of uncertain sliding mode system with bounded control input is also discussed. The proposed sliding mode control law can ensure the global reaching condition of the uncertain control system.

  • In order to improve the cutting ability of face mill, a model for optimal cutter shape was developed to minimize resultant cutting force by combing cutting force model and optimal technique. Wear test and surface roughness test for optimized and conventional cutter were performed. The new optimized cutter shows longer tool life of 2.29 times than conventional cutter in light cutting condition and 2.52 times in heavy cutting condition. The surface roughness of workpiece by optimized cutter is improved in heavy cutting condition, but deteriorated in light cutting condition in comparison with conventional cutter. The surface profiles of workpiece were analyzed by Fourier transformation. The distribution of cut lay left on workpiece by optimized cutter is more regular than that by the conventional cutter.

  • The objective of this research is to use an analytical and experimental approach to develop optimal tool geometry for high speed machining. The tool geometry parameters and cutting process have complex relationships. Until now, numerous cutting tests were needed to acquire optimal design of endmill for the purpose of high speed machining, dut to the insufficient knowledge about process in high speed machining. In order to improve the cutting ability of endmill, a model for optimal cutter shape was developed to minimize resultant cutting force by combing cutting force and wear test and surface roughness test from optimized and conventional cutter with the same cutting condition. Using various tools with different geometry, relationships between the tool geometry parameter, rake angle, clearance angle, lengh of cutter have been stuied.

A Robust Variable Structure Controller for the Mixed Tracking Control of Robot Manipulators (로봇 메니플레이터의 혼합 추적 제어를 위한 강인 가변구조제어기)

  • In this paper, a robust variable structure tracking controller is designed for the mixed tracking control of highly nonlinear rigid robot manipulators for the first time. The mixed control problem under consideration is extended from the basic tracking problem, with the different initial condition of both the planned trajectory and link of robots. This control problem in robotics is not addressed to until now. The tracking accuracy to the sliding trajectory after reaching is analyzed. The stability of the closed loop system is investigated in detail in Theorem 2. The results of Theorem 2 provide the stable condition for control gains. Combing the results of Theorem 1 and Theorem 2 gives rise to possibility of designing the improved variable structure tracking controller to guarantee the tracking error from the determined sliding trajectory within the prescribed accuracy after reaching. The usefulness of the algorithm has been demonstrated through simulation studies on the mixed tracking control of a two.link robot under parameter uncertainties and payload variations.

  • The business in the Ubiquitous era has to be developed by combing a traditional marketing concept with a new concept system on Chip. The objective of this paper is researching on the attention or interest, understanding, positive effects, etc., for Ubiquitous Computing to realize u-Korea and u-Business. The paper result which is the stepwise developing scheme of u-Business could be useful in the policy, publicity and education, strategic implementation of the Ubiquitous Computing. And the proposed new services for u-Commerce can be applied to new business model of future IT industry. Actually, the awareness and understanding about Ubiquitous are low, But, We can't overemphasize the value of Ubiquitous. First of all, The publicity and education about It's may have to be emphasized.

  • 본 논문은 광대역 무선통신환경에서 3GCPP(3.4 Generation Partnership proiect)에 기반한 비동기 IMT-2000 시스템의 송수신 시스템을 구성하여 기지국의 수신성능을 분석하였다. 적용된 시스템은 이동국과 기지국간의 Uplink 채널 환경을 고려하였으며, 기지국의 수신신호는 다중경로 페이딩(Multi-path Fading)과 다중접속간섭(Mult Access Interference : MAI)의 영향으로 성능이 열화되며 이에 대한 대책으로 Array 안테나를 채용하였을 경우와 MRC-Diversity(Maximal Combing Diversity)를 채용하였을 경우의 수신성능을 동일한 환경에서 비교 분석하였다. 본 논문에서 적용한 Array 안테나는 수신 신호의 방향에 파라 적응적으로 추적하여 수신 SNR(Singnal-to-Noise power Ratio)을 최대로 형성하여 시스템의 성능을 개선하는 기법이며, 안테나의 방향성(Directivity : =2.67을 이용하는 3-element Array 안테나를 채용하였다. 최대비 합성 다이버시티 기법은 다이버시티 기법 중 수신효율이 가장 좋으며 가지수(L=2)를 함수로 사용하였다. 성능분석 결과 다중경로 페이딩과 다중접속간섭 환경에서 최대비 합성 다이버시티 기법이 Array 안테나보다 약 Eb/No=4[dB]정도 수신효율이 우수하였다.

  • 실내공간에 존재하는 먼지입자를 제거하는데 적용되는 대표적인 방법들로는 섬유상 필터를 이용한 먼지입자 여과 기술과 전기집진기를 이용한 여과 기술이 있다. 섬유상 필터를 이용한 여과 기술은 입자의 관성충돌(inertial impaction), 차단(interception) 및 확산(diffusion) 메카니즘을 이용한 기술로써, 입자포집 효율이 아주 우수한 반면 압력손실이 큰 단점이 있다. 이러한 단점을 개선하기 위하여 개발된 필터로써 정전부착(electrostatic deposition) 메카니즘을 이용한 정전여과필터(electret filter)라고 것이 있는데, 이것은 섬유 자체에 정전 하전을 주입시킨 특수한 필터이다. An Exact Closed-Form Expression for Bit Error Rate of Decode-and-Forward Relaying Using Selection Combining over Rayleigh Fading Channels

  • Cooperative transmission is an effective solution to improve the performance of wireless communications over fading channels without the need for physical co-located antenna arrays. In this paper, selection combining is used at the destination instead of maximal ratio combing to optimize the structure of destination and to reduce power consumption in selective decode-and-forward relaying networks. For an arbitrary number of relays, an exact and closed-form expression of the bit error rate (BER) is derived for M-PAM, M-QAM, and M-PSK, respectively, in both independent identically distributed and independent but not identically distributed Rayleigh fading channels. A variety of simulations are performed and show that they match exactly with analytic ones. In addition, our results show that the optimum number of relays depend not only on channel conditions (operating SNRs) but also on modulation schemes which to be used.
