Alcoholism is a chronic behavior disorder that disturbs the health, social, and economical functions by intaking alcohol repeatedly. Alcoholism includes some habituation, dependency, and addiction. It may be clinically silent or severe enough to lead to the rapid development of hepatic, renal and gastrointestinal failure. Alcoholism can also cause death. In this case, we administrated saenggangunbitang and sungjoocheonggantang to a patient suffering from alcohoism and its withdrawal symptoms. After administration of saenggangunbitang-sungjoocheonggantang medication, clinical symptoms, including liver function with diabetes mellitus and splenomegaly improved. saenggangunbitang-sungjoocheonggantang showed desirable effect on alcoholism symptoms.

Renal failure means irreversible damage and depression of renal function, represented by glomerular filtration rate(GFR). A renal failure patient with uremia and anemia is presented. Anemia, in this patient, appeared before uremia did. A 55 year-old male patient was treated for renal failure with Weilingtang. Improvement was observed in, not only GFR, blood urea nitrogen(BUN), and creatinine, but also in such symptoms as difficulty in urine excretion, dyspepsia and abdominal swelling. But anemia appeared during treatment, so a mixture of Dangguibuxuetang(當歸補血湯) and Xiongguitang(芎歸湯) was prescribed. After this treatment, improvement in hemoglobin, and hematocrit was observed.

Acute Myocardica Infarction has high mortality and bad prognosis. We treated a 68 year-old female patient of acute myocardiac infacrtion to follow cerebral infarction. The chief complainment is right hemiplegia, dyspnea, chest discomfort, palpitation, anxiety, insomnia. The prognosis cannot be good, Because she has anterior wall infarction, cardiomegaly, conduction block, hypertention and she is 68 years old. We treated her with chiefly Nogyongdaebo-tang and Gongjin-dan, and gradually increased momentum. also we used self west medicine. The chief complainment was improved. She became to do cane walking by herself.

This study was designed to evaluate of oriental treatment on the sinsimtong With Acute glomerulonephritis Patient. We used oriental treatment for a patient who have the sinsimtong which has been caused by the Acute glomerulonephritis. After treated with oriental treatment, the symptoms of the Acute glomerulonephritis are disappeared. Form the above result, it could be suggest that oriental treatment have good effect on the sinsimtong With Acute glomerulonephritis Patient.

KH-red ginseng/chlorella (KH-RG/C) is the mixed material of the Korean red ginseng powder (Panax ginseng, 75%) and extract of Chlorella vulgaris (25%). To evaluate the effects of KH-RG/C on endurance capacity and immune regulation, the forced swimming test (FST) was conducted. The immobility time in the FST was significantly decreased in KH-RG/C treated group compared with the DW-treated group at the 3 and 10 days, respectively. In the analysis of the blood biochemical parameters, KH-RG/C treatment significantly increased the glucose level. However, the lactic dehydrogenase level decreased. Although KH-RG/C increased aspartate aminotransferase, it was not different significantly. And KH-RG/C had no affects in the alanine aminotransferase, and blood urea nitrogen levels. In splenocytes and macrophages, KH-RG/C also did not affect the interleukin (IL)-2, IL-4, and IL-12 production. These results suggest that KH-RG/C may influence to immune regulation through increasing the physical endurance capacity without effect in activation of immune cells.
