A Study on the high Temperature Properties of the Graded Thermal Barrier Coatings by APS and PAS (APS법으로 제조된 열장벽 피막과 PAS법으로 제조된 열장벽 성형체의 고온 물성에 관한 연구)

  • Thermal Barrier Coating with Functional Gradient Materials (FGM-TBC) can play an important role to protect the parts from harmful environments in high temperatures such as oxidation, corrosion, and wear and to improve the efficiency of aircraft engine by lowering the surface temperature on turbine blade. FGM-TBC can increase the life spans of product and improve the operating properties. Therfore, in this study the evaluations of mechanical and thermal properties of FGM-TBC such as fatigue, oxidation and wear-resistance at high temperatures have been conducted. The samples of both the TBC with 2, 3, 5 layers (YSZ/NiCrAlY) to be produced by Air Plasma Spray method (APS) and the bulk TBC with 6 layers to be produced by Plasma Assisted Sintering method (PAS) were used. Furthermore, residual stress, bond strength, and thermal conductivity were evaluated. The average thickness of the APS was 500$\mu\textrm{m}$ to 600$\mu\textrm{m}$ and the average thickness of the PAS was 3mm. The hardness number of the top layer of APS was 750 Hv to 810Hv and that of PAS was 950 Hv to 1440Hv. The $ZrO_2$ coating layer of APS was composed of tetragonal structure after spraying as the result of XRD analysis. As shown in the results of the high temperature wear test, the 3 layer coating of APS had the best wear resistance at $800^{\circ}C$ and the 5 layer coating of APS had the best wear resistance at $600^{\circ}C$. But, these coatings had the tendency of the low-temperature softening at $300^{\circ}C$. The main mechanism of wear was the adhesive wear and the friction coefficient of coatings was increased as increasing the test temperatures. A s results of thermal conductivity test, the ${\Delta}T$ of the APS coating was increased as number of layer and the range of thermal conductivity of the PAS was $800^{\circ}C$ to $1000^{\circ}C$.

  • 지난 수년간 유럽을 중심으로 Carbonate의 PSD (Particle Size Distribution)가 도공지 의 백색도, 불투명도, Coverage등에 미치는 영향에 대하여 많은 연구가 진행되어 왔다. 현재 국내의 Coating Pigment System 역시 Carbonate 위주로 구성되어 있으나, 입자 분포에 따른 실증적 연구가 선진국에 비하여 부족한 상태이다. 본 연구는 최근 유럽에서 사용 중인 Narrow PSD Carbonate가 도공지 품질에 미치는 영향을 검토한 것으로서, 특히 Multiple Coating에서의 도공층 구조변화와 그에 따른 백지물성 및 인쇄적성의 변화를 연구한 것이다. 실험의 Case는 Broad PSD CaC03와 Narrow PSD CaC03를 비 교하였 다 .. Color F Formulation은 Pre Color에서 #1 Clay 30 p따t와 각각 CaC03 70 p따t를 사용하였다. 그리고 바인더와 첨가제는 동일하게 사용하였다 .. Top color Formulation 또한 동일하 게 사용하였다. 코팅방식은 speed 450rrνmin, pre rod coating, top blade coating 방식 으로 CLC (Cy lindrical Laboratory Coater)를 사용하여 코팅하였다. 백지품질은 백색도, 평활도 ,광택도, 거칠음도, Bum Out Test와 Coverage( SEM 사 진 Z -direction) 등을 측정하였다. 인쇄품질은 인쇄 광택도, 인쇄 Picking strength와 2 도 인쇄 농도를 측정하였다. 백색도는 Narrow PSD CaC03를 사용한 것이 Broad PSD CaC03를 사용한 것 대비 약1% 우수하였다. 이것은 Narrow PSD CaC03를 사용한 것이 filter cake이 많이 open 되 어 있어 dewatering이 빠르고, Wet void volume이 증가되 어 부동화점 의 농도가 낮 아져 원지 층으로 침 투되 는 pigment가 작고 표층에 잔류하는 pigment와 void volume의 증가로 인해 기공층이 증가한 것으로 판단된다. 그리고, 백지광택도, 거칠음도 등 또한 Narrow PSD CaC03를 사용한 것이 우수하였 다. 이는 Pre color에서 coverage의 개선으로 top color층의 도공량 uniformity가 개선 된 이유라고 생각한다. 그러나 인쇄품질은 백지와 비교하여 차이가 없었다. 이것은 top 칼라 Formulation이 동일하고, 인쇄시 잉크흡수 거동은 top color 층에 주로 영향을 받기 때문이라고 판단 된다. 향후에는 인쇄품질의 향상을 위하여 Case 2의 CaC03 100% 사용가능성 및 Pre Color 는 Case 2로 고정하고, Top칼라를 변경하는 방법을 또한 생각할 필요가 있다고 판단된다.

Preparation and characterization of $TiO_2$ Thin Film By Various temperature ($TIO_2$ 전극의 소결온도에 따른 DSSCS 제조 및 성격)

  • 염료감응형 태양전지의 효율을 향상을 시키기 위하여, 이산화티타니아박막을 doctor-blade 방법으로 FTO 기판위에 15-16um 코팅을 한뒤, 다른 온도의 $400^{\circ}C-600^{\circ}C$ 범위에서, 소결을 하였다. 상대전극은 FTO 기판위에 5Ml의 Pt용액을 가지고, $450^{\circ}C$온도에서 제작을 하였다. 실험의 결과 이산화티타니아의 표면거칠기 및 입자사이즈의 소결의 형상에 따라 DSSC의 효율의 상관관계가 영향을 받았다. 표면의 형상은 AFM으로 측정을 하였으며, 표면의 단차가 RMS의 값이 7nm이하 일 때, 효율의 향상을 이루었다. 실험결과 $500^{\circ}C$ 이하일 때, 상대적으로 낮은 open circuit voltage를 이루었으며, 낮은 Fill-factor를 이루었다. $500^{\circ}C$이상의 온도에서는 상대적으로 높은 high circuit voltage와 높은 fill factor를 나타내었다. 실험결과 $500^{\circ}C$에서 소결된 전극을 가진 DSSC가 단락의 전압과 개방전류가 상호보완된 적정값을 가져 가장 개선된 FF와 Eff를 나타내었다. 이와 같은 특성은 이산화티타니아의 준위 모식도에서 설명이 될수 있고, 이산화티타니아의 최적의 necking 및 pore, 입자크기등이 제어될수 있음을 의미한다.

Coating Property of Hybrid Structured Photo-Electrode to Increase Dye-Sensitized Solar Cells Efficiency (염료감응형 태양전지의 효율 향상을 위한 하이브리드 구조 광전극의 코팅특성)

  • The hybrid structured photo-electrode for dye-sensitized solar cells was fabricated based on the composites of $TiO_2$ nanoparticles and nanowires. Three samples with different hybrid structures were prepared with 17 vol%, 43 vol%, and 100 vol% nanowires. The energy conversion efficiency was enhanced from 5.54% for pure nanoparticle cells to 6.01% for the hybrid structure with 17 vol% nanowires. For the hybrid structured layers with high nanowires concentration (43 vol% and 100 vol%), the efficiency decreased with the nanowire concentration, because of the decrease of specific surface area, and of thus decreased current density. The random orientations of $TiO_2$ nanowires can be preserved by the doctor blade process, resulted in the enhanced efficiency. The hybrid structured $TiO_2$ layer can possess the advantages of the high surface area of nanoparticles and the rapid electron transport rate and the light scattering effect of nanowires.

Development of New Cavitation Erosion Test Method for Analyzing the Durability of Erosion Resistance Paint (내침식페인트 성능 판별에 적합한 새로운 캐비테이션 침식시험기법 개발)

  • The very erosive cavitation is simulated by an inclined propeller dynamometer in the medium-size cavitation tunnel of MOERI. The inclined shaft for propeller makes strong cavitaion, which occurs around the root of a propeller blade. The cavitation begins at the leading edge of the propeller and contracted toward the trailing edge through the reentrant jet action. The cavity focused on the region near the trailing edge collapsed over the blade surface. As the impact pressure by the cavitation collapsing is too strong, it can damage the blade surface in the form of pit. This cavitation impacts created by the collapsing process are similar to the full-scale ones and are different from those by other erosion test methods. The newly developed cavitation erosion test method can be applied to evaluate the materials such as metals, ceramics and coatings in terms of cavitation resistance.

Study and Fabrication of Transparent Electrode Film by using Thermal-Roll Imprinted Ag Mesh Pattern and Coated Conductive Polymer (열형-롤 각인으로 형성한 Ag 격자 패턴과 전도성 고분자 코팅을 이용한 투명전극 필름 제작에 관한 연구)

  • In this study, to fabricate a low-resistance and high optical transparency electrode film, the following steps were performed: the design and manufacture of electroforming stamp, the fabrication of a thermal roll-imprinted polycarbonate (PC) patterned films, the filled low-resistance Ag paste using doctor blade process on patterned PC films and spin coating by conductive polymers. As a result of PC films imprinted line width of $26.69{\pm}2\;{\mu}m$, channel length of $247.57{\pm}2\;{\mu}m$, and pattern depth of $7.54{\pm}0.2\;{\mu}m$. Ag paste to fill part of the patterned film with conductive polymer coating and then the following parameters were obtained: a sheet resistance of $11.1\;{\Omega}/sq$ optical transparency values at a wavelength of 550 nm was 80.31 %.

LASER CONSOLIDATION OF THE PLASMA COATED CHROME CARBIDE LAYER (레이저를 이용한 크롬카바이드 플라즈마 용사층의 특성향상)

  • This paper evaluated the feasibility of laser consolidation for improving the properties of the plasma coated layer, Further, the mechanim of the degradation sequence of the chrome carbide layer applied on the turbine blades was postualted. The laser consolidation could be successfully applied for improcing the surface properties of the plasma coated blade, if a proper condition was carefully chosen. The consolidated layer had erosion & corrosion resistance and vond strength superiro to those of the as-plasma coated layer. The properties of the consolidated layer were strongly dependent upon the degree of dilution, especially on the Fe pickup from the substrate. The degradation of the plasma coating layer was thought to be a reault of the repeating action of the solid particle erosion, corrosion penetration through the pores and oxide films formed along the interlayer surface and impact spalling.
