The possibility of using recycled coarse glass aggregates as a substitute for natural crushed stone are relatively limited. In order to promote it for engineering application, this paper reports the effect of coarse glass aggregate on mechanical behavior of concrete. The coarse aggregates are substituted for coarse glass aggregate (CGA) as 0%,20%,40%,60%,80% and 100%.The results show that increasing the coarse glass aggregate content cause decrease in compressive strength, the elastic modulus, the splitting tensile strength, the flexural strength. An equation is presented to generate the relationship between cube compressive strength and prism compressive strength, the relationship between cube compressive strength and elastic modulus, the relationship between cube compressive strength and splitting tensile strength, the relationship between cube compressive strength and flexural strength of coarse glass concrete.
Foam concrete can be considered as environmental friendly material due to its low weight, its minimal cost and a possibility to add waste materials in its production. This paper investigates the possibility of producing foam concrete with waste glass as powder and aggregate. Then, the effect of using waste glass on strength and drying shrinkage of foam concrete was examined. Also, the effect of incorporating polypropylene fibers (12 mm length and proportion of 0.5% of a mix volume) on distribution of waste glass as coarse particles within 1200 kg/m3 foam concrete mixes was evaluated. Waste glass was used as powder (20% of cement weight), as coarse particles (25%, 50% and 100% instead of sand volume) and as fine particles (25% instead of sand volume). From the results, the problem of non-uniform distribution of coarse glass particles was successfully solved by adding polypropylene fibers. It was found that using of waste glass as coarse aggregate led to reduce the strength of foam concrete mixes. However, using it with polypropylene fibers in combination helped in increasing the strength by about 29- 50% for compressive and 55- 71% for splitting tensile and reducing the drying shrinkage by about (31- 40%). In general, not only the fibers role but also the uniformly distributed coarse glass particles helped in improving and enhancing the strength and shrinkage of the investigated foam concrete mixes.
This study was performed to evaluate the compressive and flexural strength, void ratio and permeability coefficient used powdered waste glass, $CaCO_3$, recycled coarse aggregate and unsaturated polyester resin to find optimum mix design of permeable polymer concrete for pavement. The compressive and flexural strength of permeable polymer concrete for pavement using powdered waste glass were in the range of 16.8~19.7 MPa and 4.7~6.1 MPa, respectively. it was satisfied the regulation of permeable concrete for pavement (18 MPa and 4.5 MPa). The void ratio and permeability coefficient were decreased with increasing the powdered waste glass, respectively. The void ratio and permeability coefficient were satisfied national regulation of permeable concrete for pavement (8 % and $1{\times}10^{-2}$ cm/s). In addition, this study found out that required amount of binder was decreased with increasing the powdered waste glass. This fact is expected to have economical effects during the use of powdered waste glass in the manufacture of permeable polymer concrete for pavement. Accodingly, the powdered waste glass can be used for permeable concrete material.

In these days, properties of concrete has been demanded to be high performance because concrete structure was bigger and higher. So studies on high strength concrete and lightweight concrete has been frequently done. But lightweight concrete has been used to limited non-structural elements in th country. Lightweight aggregate mixed with lightweight concrete was only coarse aggregate in case of the structural lightweight concrete. In the country studies on the lightweight concrete was poor and unvaried. Also it is difficult to be practical use of lightweight concrete was that it has been expensive. It was study on the using fine lightweight aggregate with lightweight concrete to crushed by-products and wastes to get to make foamed glass with recycled glass. So it was tested by fine aggregate standard and mixed with.
This study was performed to evaluate engineering properties of carbon and glass fiber reinforced recycled polymer concrete. Fiber reinforced recycled polymer concrete were used recycled aggregate as coarse aggregate, natural aggregate as fine aggregate, $CaCO_3$ as filler, unsaturated polyester resin as binder, and carbon and glass fiber as fibers. The compressive and flexural strength of carbon fiber reinforced recycled polymer concrete were in the range of 68~81.5 MPa and 19.1~21.5 MPa at the curing 7days. Also, the compressive and flexural strength of glass fiber reinforced recycled polymer concrete were in the range of 69.4~85.1 MPa and 19~20.1 MPa at the curing 7days. Abrasion ratio of carbon and glass fiber reinforced recycled polymer concrete were decreased 21.6 % and 11.6 % by fiber content 0.9 %, respectively. After impact resistance test, drop numbers of initial and final fracture were increased with increase of fiber contents. Accordingly, carbon fiber and glass fiber reinforced recycled polymer concrete will greatly improve the hydraulic structures, underground utilities and agricultural structures.

The effect of glass fibres (GF) and polypropylene fibres (PPF) on the fresh properties and mechanical properties of lightweight concrete (LWC) exposed to high temperatures is investigated in this study. In this study, fifteen LWC mixtures were carried out in three different groups reinforced with PPF or GF fibers by 0%, 0.2%, and 0.4% by volume of concrete. The first group included aluminum powder (AP) as an air agent at 0.03% with the normal weight coarse aggregate (NWCA) by 100% of the weight of coarse aggregate. In the second group, 33% of the NWCA weight was replaced by lightweight coarse aggregate (LWCA). In the third group, 67% of the NWCA weight was replaced by LWCA. The slump, unit weight, Compressive strength (CS), tensile strength (TS), and flexural strength (FS) were examined. For two hours, the CS and FS were subjected to elevated temperatures of 200℃, 400℃, and 600℃, in addition to microstructure analysis of concrete. In comparison to the reference mixture, the fresh properties and bulk density of LWC decreased with the use of the air agent or the replacement of 67% of the NWCA with LWCA. As a result of the fiber addition, both the slump test and the bulk density decreased. The addition of fibers increased the CS; the highest CS was 38.5 MPa when 0.4% GF was added, compared to 28.9 MPa for the reference mixture at the test age of 28 days. In addition, flexural and TS increased by 53% and 38%, respectively, for 0.4% GF mixes. As well as, adding 0.4% GF to LWC maintained a higher CS than other mixtures.
This paper presents an experimental study, investigating the compressive behavior of glass-fibre reinforced and unreinforced cementitious material-filled square steel tubular (GFCMFST and CMFST) columns. The specimens were manufactured by using high performance cementitious materials without using coarse aggregate. The influence of adding glass-fibres to the mix on the behavior of both axially and eccentrically loaded columns is considered. It was found that adding glass fibre improvesthe confinement behavior, the axial compressive strength, the stiffness and the toughness of both axially and eccentrically loaded columns. The compressive strength of axially loaded columns is compared with strength predictions according to EC4 and the AISC specification. It was found that the design predictions according to EC4 and the AISC codes provide conservative results for CMFST and GFCMFST columns. Alternatively, the axial load-bending moment interaction diagrams specified in theEC4 are conservative for the eccentrically tubular CMFST and GFCMFST tested columns.
To investigate the axial compressive performance of the recycled aggregate concrete (RAC) filled glass fiber reinforced polymer (GFRP) tube and profile steel composite columns, static loading tests were carried out on 18 specimens under axial loads in this study, including 7 RAC filled GFRP tube columns and 11 RAC filled GFRP tube-profile steel composite columns. The design parameters include recycled coarse aggregate (RCA) replacement percentage, profile steel ratio, slenderness ratio and RAC strength. The failure process, failure modes, axial stress-strain curves, strain development and axial bearing capacity of all specimens were mainly analyzed in detail. The experimental results show that the GFRP tube had strong restraint ability to RAC material and the profile steel could improve the axial compressive performance of the columns. The failure modes of the columns can be summarized as follow: the profile steel in the composite columns yielded first, then the internal RAC material was crushed, and finally the fiberglass of the external GFRP tube was seriously torn, resulting in the final failure of columns. The axial bearing capacity of the columns decreased with the increase of RCA replacement percentage and the maximum decreasing amplitude was 11.10%. In addition, the slenderness ratio had an adverse effect on the axial bearing capacity of the columns. However, the strength of the RAC material could effectively improve the axial bearing capacity of the columns, but their deformability decreased. In addition, the increasing profile steel ratio contributed to the axial compressive capacity of the composite columns. Based on the above analysis, a formula for calculating the bearing capacity of composite columns under axial compression load is proposed, and the adverse effects of slenderness ratio and RCA replacement percentage are considered.
