필로티 공간의 화재 시 재실자의 위험성에 관한 연구 (Study of the Fire Risk of Occupants During Pilotis Space Fires)

  • 필로티 구조의 공동주택이 증가하면서 필로티 화재에 대한 관심 또한 높아 졌다. 필로티 구조는 이곳을 통해야만 출입이 가능한 구조이기 때문에 이곳에서 화재가 발생하면 재실 자가 건물 내부에 갇혀 많은 인명피해가 예상된다. 본 연구는 필로티 구조의 도시형생활주택에서 발생한 화재사건 사례를 바탕으로 필로티에서 화재가 발생하면 얼마나 위험한지를 화재시뮬레이션(FDS)과 피난시뮬레이션을 통해 이를 입증하였다. 그 결과 화재 발생 100 s만에 필로티 전체로 유독가스와 화염이 확산되었고, 출입문이 개방되면 3 s만에 2층 계단으로 유독가스가 확산되었고, 건물 전체로 확산되는데 걸리는 시간은 불과 735 s였고, 피난시뮬레이션 결과 재실 자가 모두 대피하는데 걸린 시간은 609 s였다. 그 결과 현 실정에 따른 필로티 건물은 화재 발생 시 재실자의 안전을 확보할 수 없었다.

역드랍 패널 적용 전이슬래브-기둥 접합부의 비선형 유한요소해석을 통한 2면 전단거동 분석 (Two-way Shear Behavior Analysis of Transfer Slab-Column Connection with Reverse Drop Panel Through Nonlinear FE Analysis)

  • 최근 건축구조물에서 전이슬래브 시스템의 사용이 증가하고 있다. 하지만 과도한 전이슬래브의 두께로 인한 경제적, 시공적인 문제가 많이 발생하고 있다. 따라서, 본 연구에서는 피트층의 설비 공간을 활용하여 전이슬래브의 두께를 절감하기 위하여 역드랍 패널을 적용한 전이슬래브 시스템을 고려하였다. 역드랍 패널을 사용하여 전이슬래브의 2면 전단강도를 증진시킴으로써 전이슬래브의 두께를 줄이고자 하였다. 따라서, 역드랍 패널을 이용한 전이슬래브 시스템의 유효성을 검증하고 전단거동을 조사하기 위하여 다양한 설계변수에 대한 역드랍 패널을 적용한 전이슬래브-기둥 접합부의 전단거동을 기존연구에서 검증된 비선형 FEM 해석방법을 사용하여 분석하였다. 최종적으로 비선형 FEM 해석결과와 기존의 2면 전단강도 평가식으로 예측한 전단강도를 비교·분석하여 기존 평가식의 역드랍 패널을 적용한 전이슬래브-기둥 접합부의 2면 전단강도 평가에 대한 유효성을 검증하였다.

차량탑재형 고소작업대의 재해분석을 통한 취약 구조부의 안전성 향상 방안에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Safety Improvement of Structural Weakness Using Accident Analysis for Vehicle-Mounted MEWP)

  • The findings were summarized as follows. The safety check by manufacturer showed that 6 of 13 companies are over the average occurrence of defects. It was expected that there would be a difference between manufacturing technology capability and production system of each manufacturer. Consequently, manufacturers should institutionally improve and strengthen certification items for the upward standardization of safety certification before factory. Second, the safety check by year showed that the results of this study accord with those of previous studies on defect time. Consequently, manufacturers should classify the 3-year-old equipment for vehicle-mounted MEWP into a special check subject to do a nondestructive test according to proven results, and also reflect the test in a safety test system to do regular preventive activities of equipment defects. Third, the safety check by part showed that the boom and outrigger parts of vehicle-mounted MEWP have the most defects. Stress concentration resulted in defects as the boom part was most frequently operated in the structural parts for a real work. To prevent this, it is suitable to improve the hardness of boom materials. The outrigger part needs improvement in safety devices with materials. As an outrigger supports the overturning moment of equipment, it is most affected by its load based on the operating radius, resulting in fatigue crack.

소규모 주택 에너지 저감형 리모델링을 위한 에너지 성능 및 경제성 평가에 관한 사례연구 (A Case Study on Estimation of Energy Efficiency and Economic Feasibility for Energy-Saving Remodeling of Small-sized Houses)

  • 전 세계적으로 에너지 절감, 온실가스 감축 등을 위한 다양한 방법이 제시되고 있다. 우리나라에는 노후된 주택들이 많아 이에 대한 리모델링의 요구가 많으나 이에 대한 연구는 부족하였다. 본 연구는 노후된 주택들의 유형을 분석하였고, 국내 외 사례와 기존 연구를 통하여 리모델링에 적합한 기술 리스트를 제시하였다. 창호, 단열, 문 등과 관련된 기술에 에너지 시뮬레이션, 경제성 분석을 실시하여 소규모 주택 리모델링에 적합한 기술의 조합을 제시하였다. 본 연구는 소규모 주택에 적용할 수 있는 기술의 성능, 경제성을 위한 기초연구이며 이외의 더욱 많은 기술의 분석의 기초가 될 것이다.

주성분분석을 이용한 환경영향평가와 사후환경조사의 비교 및 평가에 관한 사례연구 (A Case Study on the Comparison and Assessment between Environmental Impact Assessment and Post-Environmental Investigation Using Principal Component Analysis)

  • Environmental monitoring system has been adopted and supplemented as inspection measures for the quantitative and qualitative changes of environmental impact assessment (EIA). This study compares the results of environmental impact assessment with the results of post-environmental investigation using a correction and principal component analysis (PCA) in the housing development project. Correlation analysis showed that most of air quality variables including TSP, $PM_{10},\;NO_2$, CO were linearly correlated with each other in the environmental impact assessment and the post-environmental investigation. In the water quality, pH and BOD were well correlated with the DO and SS, respectively. As a result of correlation analysis in the noise and vibration, noise in day and night and vibration in day and night were related to each other between EIA and the post-environmental investigation. From the results of analysis of soil, Cu with Cd, Cu with Pb, and Cd with Pb were related to each other in EIA. Principal component analysis (PCA) showed a powerful pattern recognition that had attempted to explain the variance of a large dataset of inter-correlated variable with a smaller set of independent variables (principal components). Principal component (PC1) and principal component (PC2) were obtained with eigenvalues> 1 summing almost $90\%$ of the total variance in the all of the items(air, water, noise, vibration and soil) in EIA and post-environmental investigation.

방사선 환경에 강인한 CMOS카메라에 관한 연구 (A Study on the CMOS Camera robust to radiation environments)

  • 방사선원을 이용하는 곳에는 사람의 접근이 제한되나 관측장비는 노출됨으로 방사선에 강하여야 한다. 이에따라 카메라차폐 구조설계에 필요한 물질로 비중과 용융점이 가장 높은 텅스텐과 가장 낮은 납을 선정하여 코발트 60 방사선 소스에 대한 선량을 1/8까지 감소시킬 경우 Tu는 체적 432.6cm3, 두께 2.4cm이었고, Pb는 체적 961cm3, 두께 3.6cm이었다. 이를 적용하여 CMOS Image센서를 적용한 카메라모듈 및 내방사선 차폐구조의 하우징과 방사선에 강한 CMOS카메라를 제작하였다. 최적화된 차폐두께의 선정을 위한 실험에서 생존한 헤드분리형2M AHD형 카메라(①번)를 적용한 결과 카메라 및 아답터등 연관설비에 대한 차폐가 이루어지면 1.88×106rad 이상의 선량에서도 잘 동작함을 확인하였다. 따라서 고방사선에 적용할 수 있는 카메라 기술력확보와 사업성을 기대할 수 있다.

Research on Flame Retardant Formaldehyde-Free Plywood Glued by Aqueous Polymer Isocyanate Adhesive

  • Due to pronounced mechanical performance and being environmental friendly, aqueous polymer isocyanate adhesive (API) has been widely applied in the production of formaldehyde-free wood products. In this study, flame retardant formaldehyde-free plywood was prepared by incorporation of flame retardants into the API adhesive. Partially phosphorylated poly (vinyl alcohol) (PPVA) which was prepared by reacting poly (vinyl alcohol) with phosphoric acid was used to replace PVA in API formula. In addition, Mg-Al layered double hydroxides (LDH) was chosen as additive flame retardant, replacing traditional filler CaCO3 in API adhesive formula. And then, the flame retardant API adhesive with main agent (PPVA replacing PVA70wt.%, SBR emulsion 30wt.%), curing agent 10wt.% (accounts for of the main agent), and 20wt.% LDHs (accounts of the main agent) was used to prepare flame retardant plywood. The effect of application of PPVA and Mg-Al LDH on bonding strength of plywood was investigated. The flammability characteristics of the plywood were determined by cone calorimeter test (CCT). The results revealed that compared with the plywood prepared with API adhesive, the use of PPVA and LDH enhanced the flame retardancy of plywood without negatively affecting bonding strength. The CCT tests indicated that the heat release and smoke production flame retardant API plywood were lower than those of the ordinary API glued plywood. Promising developments for flame retardant API adhesive were expected in future applications of flame retardant formaldehyde-free plywood.

Analytical Study on Improvement in Load Sharing for Planetary Gear Set using Floating Ring Gear

  • Purpose: The load on the planet gear of a planetary gear set is uniformly distributed. However, manufacturing and assembly errors cause uneven load sharing in the planetary gear set. To solve this problem, most studies have suggested applying a floating sun gear to the planetary gear set. However, the effect of the floating ring gear and floating carrier has not been extensively studied. This study aimed to investigate the effect of the floating ring gear. Methods: Two models were developed; one was the fixed ring gear model, and the other was the floating ring gear model. In the fixed ring gear model, the clearance between the ring gear and the housing was $0{\mu}m$, and in the floating ring gear model, the clearance was from $10{\mu}m$ to $100{\mu}m$. The load sharing of the planetary gear set was evaluated by the load sharing factor. Results: Our study showed that with increase in clearance, the load sharing factor of the planetary gear set approached unity. In addition, when the clearance increased above a certain level by which a fully floating ring gear was achieved, the load sharing factor was not affected by the clearance. Conclusions: This indicates that the fully floating ring gear increased the power density of the planetary gearbox by uniformly dividing the load of the planetary gear set. For this reason, the size of the gearbox could be decreased by using a fully floating ring gear.

Preparation of Flame Retardant and Antibacterial Wood with Composite Membrane Coating

  • A novel flame retardant and antibacterial composite membrane coating for wood surfaces was prepared by adding POSS-based phosphorous nitrogen flame retardant (later referred to as NH2-POSS) and silver nanoparticles (Ag NPs) to chitosan (CS). The effects of NH2-POSS content (mass fractions of CS 0%, 0.5%, 1%, 3%, 5%, and 7%) on the structure and properties of the composite membrane coating on wood were investigated. The composite film was prepared by the method of blending and ducting. Contact angle, tensile property and antibacterial effects of the composite film were measured, and infrared spectroscopy was used. The results show that the addition of NH2-POSS can not only improve the toughness of the membrane, but also the flame retardancy of the membrane, which improves the application of the membrane in wood products. However, with the addition of NH2-POSS, the transparency of the composite membrane was weakened. The inhibitory effect of the composite membrane on the growth of Escherichia coli was enhanced with the increase in Ag NPs. This research provides a foundation for the application of functional wood.

Research on Flame Retardant Plywood with Different Flame Retardants

  • The flame retardancy of plywood should be improved as much as possible while minimizing the impact on the bonding strength of plywood. Six commercial flame retardants and three laboratory synthesized phosphorous nitrogen flame retardants were selected. E0, E1 and E2 grade commercial formaldehyde resins (UF) were applied in this study to evaluate the effect of different flame retardants on the curing time of resin, bonding strength, flame retardant performance, and formaldehyde emission of plywood. The results show that the effect of the addition of different flame retardants on the bonding strength of plywood gradually decreased with the increase of the formaldehyde molar ratio of the resin. The effect of flame retardants on the curing time of UF gradually decreased as the mole ratio of formaldehyde increasing, while the amount of formaldehyde emission varied according to the content of formaldehyde in the flame retardant. Compared with plywood without flame retardant, flame retardant of plywood added with phosphorous nitrogen flame retardant was improved.
