클러치 스냅링부 파괴 예측을 위한 구조응력기법 연구 (A Study of Structural Stress Technique for Fracture Prediction of an Auto-Mobile Clutch Snap-Ring)

  • 복잡한 기계장치에 대한 내구신뢰성 평가는 단순한 응력해석을 통해 피로수명을 예측하는 것이 일반적인 방법이다. 하지만 기존 방법은 유한요소 해석 시 여러 가지 요인에 의해 일관된 응력해석 결과를 얻기 어려워 해석자에 따라 상이한 수명을 예측하는 단점을 지닌다. 하지만 구조응력을 기반으로 하는 내구신뢰성 평가 기법은 이러한 단점을 보완하여 보다 합리적인 결과를 제공해 준다. 구조응력기법은 유한요소 모델의 요소 수와 요소 형태에 무관하게 일관된 응력결과를 제공하기 때문에 신뢰성이 높은 내구도 평가 결과를 얻을 수 있다. 해석조건 및 환경에 독립적인 결과를 제공해 주는 구조응력은 최근 대형선박 설계 및 각종 기계장치의 피로수명 예측에 종종 활용되고 있어 보다 깊이 있고 체계적인 연구가 필요하다. 따라서, 본 연구에서는 (a) 유한요소모델의 형태에 상관없이 요소에 독립적인 구조응력 산출기법을 제시하고, (b) 이를 이용하여 자동차 클러치 스냅링부의 구조응력 산출하여 피로파괴를 예측하고자 한다.

Performance Evaluation of a Driving Power Transmission System for 50 kW Narrow Tractors

  • Purpose: The development of compact tractors that can be used in dry fields, greenhouses, and orchards for pest control, weeding, transportation, and harvesting is necessary. The development and performance evaluation of power transmission units are very important when it comes to tractor development. This study evaluates the performance of a driving power transmission unit of a 50 kW multi-purpose narrow tractor. Methods: The performance of the transmission and forward-reverse clutch, which are the main components of the driving power transmission unit of multi-purpose narrow tractors, was evaluated herein. The transmission performance was evaluated in terms of power transmission efficiency, noise, and axle load, while the forward-reverse clutch performance was evaluated in terms of durability. The transmission's power transmission efficiency accounts for the measurement of transmission losses, which occur in the transmission's gear, bearing, and oil seal. The motor's power was input in the transmission's input shaft. The rotational speed and torque were measured in the final output shaft. The noise was measured at each speed level after installing a microphone on the left, right, and upper sides. The axle load test was performed through a continuous equilibrium load test, in which a constant load was continuously applied. The forward-reverse clutch performance was calculated using the engine torque to axle torque ratio with the assembled engine and transmission. Results: The loss of power in the transmission efficiency test of the driving power unit was 6.0-9.7 kW based on all gear steps. This loss of horsepower was equal to 11-18% of the input power (52 kW). The transmission efficiency of the driving power unit was 81.5-89.0%. The noise of the driving power unit was 50-57 dB at 800 rpm, 70-77 dB at 1600 rpm, and 76-83 dB at 2400 rpm. The axle load test verified that the input torque and axle revolutions were constant. The results of the forward-reverse clutch performance test revealed that hydraulic pressure and torque changes were stably maintained when moving forward or backward, and its operation met the hydraulic design standards. Conclusions: When comprehensively examined, these research results were similar to the main driving power transmission systems from USA and Japan in terms of performance. Based on these results, tractor prototypes are expected to be created and supplied to farmhouses after going through sufficient in-situ adaptability tests.

붉은머리오목눈이(Paradoxornis webbianus)의 종내탁란 (Intraspecific Nest Parasitism of the Vinous-throated Parrotbill Paradoxornis webbianus)

  • 1988년부터 2007년 사이에 수행된 붉은머리오목눈이(Paradoxornis webbianus)의 생태연구 과정에서 종내탁란으로 추정되는 현상은 4개 둥지(0.38%, n=1,062)에서 관찰되었다. 첫 번째는 1995년 경기도 양평군 부용리에서 붉은머리오목눈이의 한배산란수의 범위를 초과하는 9개의 알이 있는 둥지가 관찰되었다. 두 번째와 세 번째는 2001년과 2005년, 경기도 안산시 사동에서 하루 사이에 2개의 알이 산란된 둥지가 각각 관찰되었다. 마지막은 2007년 부용리에서 어미새의 산란 전에 어미새의 알과는 색이 다른 알이 하나 산란된 둥지가 발견되었다. 이러한 결과는 비록 낮은 빈도이지만 붉은머리오목눈이에서 종내탁란 현상이 나타나고 있음을 보여준다.

Effects of Food Quality and Temperature on life History Traits of Moina macrocopa Reared in Laboratory

  • Life table experiments were performed in order to examine the effects of food quality on Moina macrocopa fed with four kinds of algal foods, Botryococcus sp., Scenedesmus subspicatus, Selenastrum capricornutum, and Chlorella sp., at $20^{\circ}C$ . The temperature effects on M. macrocopa were also assessed, feeding Chlorella at $17^{\circ}C$,$20^{\circ}C$,$25^{\circ}C$, and a combination of $28^{\circ}C$ (light) and $25^{\circ}C$ (dark). The cartilaginous Botryococcs cells were Inappropriate food for Moina. Among the foods tested, Chlorella was the food of the best quality in all accounts of life history traits. Moina grown on Chlorella showed higher net reproductive rate ($R_0$), longer mean and maximum longevities, earlier mean age at maturity, longer mean carapace length at maturity, larger mean clutch size, and shorter mean time interval between clutch productions than those grown on Selenastrum and Scenedesmus. An optimal temperature for Moina was $20^{\circ}C$ . When Moina were grown on Chlorella at $20^{\circ}C$, they showed the highest r, the highest $R_0$, the shortest T, the longest mean longevity, the earliest mean age at maturity, the longest mean carapace length at maturity, and the largest mean clutch size. The results of life table experiments showed that the individual and population growth patterns were much more affected by low temperature $17^{\circ}C$, than by high temperature ($\geq 20^{\circ}C$). In the optimal condition, the r value was very high, 5.1 in $d^{-1}$. In conclusion, the food quality and the temperature are the most important factors to govern the size and continuity of Moina population, by which the individual growth rates and reproductivity of members in the population can be controlled to survive in their environment such as small and temporary water bodies in nature.

도시녹지에서 박새의 번식특성에 관한 연구 (A Research on the Reproductive Properties of Great Tits in the Urban Forests)

  • This study was carried out to monitor reproductive responses of great tits in 17 urban forests in Daegu metropolitan city. The reproductive perspectives of great tits were surveyed by using 106 artificial bird nests, of which five or seven nests were set up in every urban forest. A ratio of artificial nests used by great tits for their reproduction was 27.4%. It was showing that forests, where the reproductive response was higher, was located at the edge of the city, or was known as having a good vegetation structure in the urban area. The laying date of a great tit was a little earlier in forests in the middle of the city. It might be dependent on the density of artificial land uses including a residential area and an industrial complex, which are able to increase an urban micro-temperature. Otherwise, natural forests or forest patches nearby natural forests located at the edge of the city were showing that the laying date of great tits was relatively later than the oneee in the forest in the middle of the city. There was a big difference of reproduction perspectives of great tit between the 1st and 2nd reproduction. In the 1st reproduction, a clutch size was larger, while an egg volume was so low. Otherwise, the clutch size was shown so smaller in the 2nd reproduction than in the 1st reproduction, while the egg volume was larger in the 2nd reproduction. It might be due to the survival strategy of a great tit to prepare the winter season for a juvenile. Many variables, regarding to the problem of climate changes, have been linked to the environment of urban area and the bird habitats. Finally, Monitoring a bird reproduction is a valuable work for managing an urban forest as well as for conserving a natural forest.

회전익 항공기 보조동력장치 시동모터 운용성 개선연구 (The Study on Operability Improvement of the start motor for Auxiliary Power Unit of Rotorcraft)

  • 회전익 항공기의 보조동력장치(APU, Auxiliary Power Unit)는 지상 운용/비행 중 주 동력 기관의 시동, 환경제어시스템용 고압 공기 공급, 비상발전기 등의 역할을 수행한다. 보조동력장치(이하 'APU')는 소형 가스터빈엔진형태로 구성되어 있으며, 해당 구성품의 시동 원리는 전기 시동 모터를 사용하는 방식으로, 축을 회전시켜 시동에 필요한 동력을 발생시킨다. 본 연구에서는 회전익 항공기에 장착된 APU의 시동 모터 운용성 확보를 위해 APU와 APU 시동 모터 간 축간 분리 장치(Over-Running Clutch) 적용을 통한 품질개선을 수행하였다. APU 시동 모터는 초기 APU 시동이 주 역할이지만, 운용 시 실제 작동 시간 이후에도 APU 기어축의 회전력에 의해 무 부하 회전을 하게 되어 구성품/부품 간 과도한 마찰력이 지속적으로 발생하였다. 이러한 현상은 시동 모터 내부 브러시 마모를 유발하게 되고, 결과적으로 항공기 운용을 위한 APU 작동 시간 증가 시 브러시 운용 수명 감소와 APU의 운용성에 영향을 미치게 된다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 APU 시동 모터의 운용성/내구성 향상을 위하여 시동 모터 브러시 마모와 APU 작동시간의 연동성을 분리하는 축간 분리 장치(Over-Running Clutch)적용하여 시험으로 효과를 검증하였고, 설계변경에 따른 기술적 타당성을 분석하였다.

자동변속기 윤활용 기어펌프의 가속 수명시험 설계에 관한 연구 (Study on Accelerated Life Test Design for a Gear Type Lubrication Pump for Automatic Transmission)

  • A gear type lubrication pump is an essential component of the powertrain and has a major role for supplying oil to the gears and bearings in automatic transmission with a hydraulic clutch. Therefore, the durability test code design of lubrication pump is very important to ensure the reliability of the entire transmission and the vehicle. In this study, the design process for the life testing of lubrication pump has been generalized by four steps. The four design steps of the life testing of lubrication pump consist of the configuration of load spectrum, rain flow counting and analysis of load level, the equivalent damage assessment and test code generation. In fact, the load spectrum should be obtained from the field operating condition but that kind of data is the top secret of manufacturers. This is not open to the public in general. So we could use the artificially simulated load spectrum instead of field obtained one and focused on the development of the general process for designing the life test of a gear type lubrication pump. Reliability goals for lubrication pump, pressure, torque, temperature and load spectrum, if present, as appropriate for the given test conditions, accelerated life testing for the lubrication pump can be designed by the developed design steps.

내구성 향상을 위한 클러치 보빈 적용 고강성 전동식 제설기 개발 (Development of Automated Electric Snowplow by Using Clutch Bobbin for Improving Durability)

  • 제설기가 구동할 때, 센서제어에 의해 구동하다보면 역방향으로의 무한 구동에 의하여 와이어가 반대로 감기거나 인장이 크게 걸려 파손되는 경우가 종종 발생한다. 또한 기존 제설기는 제설판이 철재로 제작되고 실린더도 무겁기 때문에 자체무게에 의해 전방으로 전복되는 일이 빈번하여 차량 파손이 되는 문제점이 있다. 본 연구에서는 수동식 방향전환과 와이어 방식을 탈피한 센서 제어형 전자동 전동 제설기를 개발하였다. 노면 밀착도 유지와 충격시 삽날을 보호하여 내구성을 확보할 수 있도록 제설삽의 내구성과 제설삽을 제어하기 위하여 모터 자체의 충격방지 장치를 개발하였으며 클러치 역할을 하는 획기적인 장치인 보빈을 설계하여 장력과 피로도를 없애는 방법을 제안하고자 하며 이를 통해 차량에 무리를 주지 않고 제설기 수명을 연장시키도록 개발하였다.

시험적 방법에 의한 경승용차 기어 래틀 소음 개선 (Improvement of Gear Rattle Noise of a Small Car by Experimental Approach)

  • Experimental approach was investigated to improve gear rattle noise of a small car. During the development of a small car serious problem occurred inside the transmission gear units. The transmission was a carried over system from a less powered predecessor. Several components of suspicion were investigated, and applied to reduce rattle noise. In general, backlash, the assembly gaps, and the clutch disk rattle induce gear rattle noise. Above mentioned improvements were applied to reduce the noise, but still problem remained. Meanwhile, the temperature inside the gearbox was reported to be unusually high and the life of transmission oil quality deteriorated drastically, Temperature increment caused the large gap between the bearing outer diameter and the transmission housing. Large gap made the gear shaft assembly move intermittently and impact each other. The tighter control of the assembly gap allowed the rotating shafts smoothly and reduced the gear rattle noise even in the high temperature range.

4륜 구동 및 4방식 조향장치를 적용한 로더 개발 (Development of Loader with Four Wheel Driving and Four-Type Wheel Steering System)

  • The loader of this study is an agriculture machine for a stock farmer. We has much researched about power train and steering system in order to develop a new stock machine. So, the loader developed in this study has a 4 wheel driving system and a 4-type wheel steering system. Though the technological region is some large and general, these technologies are very important and their technical life may be very long. The power train of the loader is consisted of many units as follows, engine, clutch, transmission, and axles. And, the 4-type wheel steering system is consisted of oil tank, oil pump, steering valve, solenold valve, electronic controller, hydraulic cylinders, and touch sensors. This study shows construction logics of power train and steering system. We could know from many working tests that the developed loader with 4-type steeling system has many advantages when driving in a narrow corral.
