This Study is about the color images oi clothes in the early 20th century in the Eastern and Western culture and the recreation of this color images through modern costume design in film. The aim of this study is to show how early 20th century color has born reinterpreted through present film costumes and how different cultural perspectives can influence color images. For the purposes of this study, 30 pictures of clothing, representative of the early 20th century, as well as films which have been internationally recognized for their costume design and strong cultural identity('Farewell M) 'Concubine', 'Raise the Red Lantern', 'Chicago' and 'The English Patient') were chosen and analyzed. The color image of these photographs and scenes from the movies were divided by Pantone Solid Chips and categorized by color groups such as red, orange, yellow, green, blue, violet, neutral and metallic. The analysis results of the color images in the early 20th century showed that the red group was used a lot in both cultures and the orange group was more often used in the West. In regards to the yellow group, goldish yellow were commonly used in the West but pale yellow was preferred in the East. The green group more used In the West but the blue group appears more in the East. Also, there were differences in color combination, texture and technique which demonstrates different cultural color recognition and association. In the case of film color image, present color image was added to past color image. In the West, color was used as a tool for visualizing the state of characters' mind and the mood of movies' story but in the East color image was intended to make the character stand out by changing the value and chroma. By comparing the color image of clothes from the early 20th century and color image from film in the West and the East, it is possible to analyze the cultural symbolic image of color. This study is one of first trials to analyze the cultural differences in rotor images and their symbolic meaning. Thus, further studies should persue to find out the influence of culture on the rotor image in terms of specific quantity and quality.

The demands of people who purchase fashion products on Internet shopping are gradually increasing, and attempts are being made to provide user-friendly images with 3D contents and web 3D software instead of pictures and videos of products provided. As a reason for this issue, which has emerged as the most important aspect in the fashion web shopping industry, complaints that the product is different when the product is received and the image at the time of purchase has been heightened. As a way to solve this problem, various image processing technologies have been introduced, but there is a limit to the quality of 2D images. In this study, we proposed an automatic conversion technology that converts 2D images into 3D and grafts them to web 3D technology that allows customers to identify products in various locations and reduces the cost and calculation time required for conversion. We developed a system that shoots a mannequin by placing it on a rotating turntable using only 8 cameras. In order to extract only the clothing part from the image taken by this system, markers are removed using U-net, and an algorithm that extracts only the clothing area by identifying the color feature information of the background area and mannequin area is proposed. Using this algorithm, the time taken to extract only the clothes area after taking an image is 2.25 seconds per image, and it takes a total of 144 seconds (2 minutes and 4 seconds) when taking 64 images of one piece of clothing. It can extract 3D objects with very good performance compared to the system.
The purpose of this study was to examine consumers' perceptions of eco-friendly children's-wear and their impact on the selection criteria for children's-wear and stores. A descriptive survey method using a self-administered questionnaire was employed. The sample consisted of mothers with children under the age of 13 residing in Seoul and the Gyeonggi area. Data were collected from September 2011 to October, 2011. The collected data were analyzed to find the differences between purchasers and non-purchasers of eco-friendly children's-wear in terms of their perceptions of eco-friendly children's-wear, as well as the influence of these perceptions on the consideration degree of criteria for the selection of children's wear and store. The results indicate that perceptions of eco-friendly children's-wear implied five key factors related to quality reliability, expected value, style, degree of recognition, and dissatisfaction with design and price. The results also revealed some differences between the group purchasing eco-friendly children's-wear and the group not purchasing eco-friendly children's-wear. These different perceptions were related to the aspects of quality reliability, expected value, style, degree of recognition. In general, the non-purchasing group displayed a lower mean score than the purchasing group. Both groups showed a low interest in aesthetic appreciation and the degree of recognition factor. The results showed that consumer's perceptions of eco-friendly children's-wear had an influence on the criteria for the selection of children's-wear and store type in both groups. Considering the findings of the study, it is clear that both purchasers and non-purchasers of eco-friendly children's-wear showed differences in their perceptions and purchasing behavior. Therefore, marketing strategies to appeal to the non-purchasing group should be differentiated from strategies used to ensure the loyalty of the purchasing group.
This study was to design the clean room garment which fits for a body and adjusts well to the action. We examined the body's changes in action through a body measurment and made a sample of the clean room garment to which had adapted the body's changes in action and evaluated the function and the appearance compared with the existing the clean room garment. The followings were summery of the results : 1. Back intersyce breadth decreased, trunk length increased and the other parts were not change. At a posture of raising hands($M_3$) in comparison with an upright posture($M_0$). Back intersyce breadth, hip length and knee length increased and the other parts were a little change. At a bowing posture($M_2$) in comparison with an upright posture($M_0$). Back hip girth, knee length, hip length and leg length increased and the other parts were not change. At a working posture on a chair($M_1$) in comparison with an upright posture($M_0$). 2. The overall clean room garment was made increasing on the changes of part of a body through measuring and body measurement. 3. From the test of the function, it became known that the devised clean room garment was superior to the existing one in the parts of neck, shoulder, armpit and elbow at a working posture on a chair($M_1$), in the parts of neck, shoulder, and armpit at a bowing posture($M_2$), and the armpit at a posture of raising hands($M_3$). The appearance was better on the whole. 4. From the examination of photographs, the waist line of the devised clean room garment was not so much pulled up as that of the existing one on moving. And when sitting down on a chair, the waist line of the existing one was pulled down while that of the devised one had no change. As above, we investigated the actual conditions of wearing the clean room garment and measured the body's changes according the various actions. So we applied these results to the devised clean room garment but we couldn't research the clean mom effect of it owing to not obtaining the measuring instrument. The aspect of ergonomics liked the feeling of wearing and fitted to the action must be given consideration to the clean room garment, and simultaneously the dust-resistant effect must be taken into consideration in order to improve the quality of the goods. Therefore, we think it should be continued the research on the dust-resistant effect, material, washing method, quality control, and size along with the aspect of ergonomics.
The aim of this study was to describe how the type of appeal and linguistic expression of men's wear advertisement in magazines by analyzing domestic men's and ladies' magazines published from 1990 to 1999. The periodical change in advertisement trend was also discussed. 1. Type of Linguistic expression The type of linguistic expression used in advertisements far men's wear could be classified into the following five categories : emotional expression, sensual expression, egoistic expression, informative expression, and brand name expression. The periodical trend in the use of each type of linguistic expression was as follows: the occupancy rate for the type of emotional expression was roughly 50 percent in the early 90's (1990-1993) and this percentage gradually decreased during the mid 90's (1994-1196) until the late 90's (1997-1990). Despite the decrease in occupancy rate, this type was the most commonly used. While the occupancy rate fur the type of informative expression gradually increased during the decade, occupancy growth fur the type of brand name expression was slight until its rapid expansion in the late 90's. The occupancy rate for the type of egoistic expression steadily increased during the early and mid 90's but decreased to its original percentage in the late 90's. As for the sensual expression, its occupancy was insignificant up to the mid 90's and then rapidly decreased in the late 90's. 2. Type of appeal The type of appeal used in men's wear advertisements could be classified into the four categories, sensitive appeal, sex appeal, image appeal, and quality appeal. The periodical trend in the use of each type of appeal was as follows: sensitive appeal was most commonly used during the decade ; it had an occupancy rate over 50 percent in the early 90's but the rate gradually decreased during the mid and late 90's. Sexual appeal were the least commonly used; though the occupancy rate increased during the early and mid 90's it dropped dramatically in the late 97's. The occupancy rate for image appeal gradually decreased until its growth in the late 90's. The occupancy rate fur quality appeal was insignificant in the early 90's. This percentage rapidly increased in the mid 90's but relapsed in the late 90's.
This study introduced the components of apparel store, which include product and service factor to reflect the modified conception of service. The purposes of this study were to investigate the dimensions of the components of apparel store and to examine consumers' rating of importance on the components of apparel store. In addition, this study explored the effect of clothing involvement and demographic variables on importance perception. Data were collected via a questionnaire from young adult females in their twenties. The results of this study revealed five dimensions of service factor: environmental service, salesperson service, attitude and policy service related to exchange and refund, policy service related to promotion, and policy service related to convenience. Factors related to product were identified price, quality, variety, fashion, design and brand. Attitude and policy service related to exchange and refund is the most important factor that consumer perceived. Salesperson service and product quality were the second important factors. The relatively important factor in each service dimension was this : display in the environmental service, the ability of salesperson to resolve customer's complaints in the salesperson service, sales person’s courtesy in managing exchange or refund in policy service. Clothing involvement and demographic variables do affect consumers’perception on importance.
In the rapidly evolving domain of e-commerce, our study presents a cohesive approach to enhance customer satisfaction prediction from online reviews, aligning methodological innovation with practical insights. We integrate the RFE-SHAP feature selection with LDA topic modeling to streamline predictive analytics in e-commerce. This integration facilitates the identification of key features-specifically, narrowing down from an initial set of 28 to an optimal subset of 14 features for the Random Forest algorithm. Our approach strategically mitigates the common issue of overfitting in models with an excess of features, leading to an improved accuracy rate of 84% in our Random Forest model. Central to our analysis is the understanding that certain aspects in review content, such as quality, fit, and durability, play a pivotal role in influencing customer satisfaction, especially in the clothing sector. We delve into explaining how each of these selected features impacts customer satisfaction, providing a comprehensive view of the elements most appreciated by customers. Our research makes significant contributions in two key areas. First, it enhances predictive modeling within the realm of e-commerce analytics by introducing a streamlined, feature-centric approach. This refinement in methodology not only bolsters the accuracy of customer satisfaction predictions but also sets a new standard for handling feature selection in predictive models. Second, the study provides actionable insights for e-commerce platforms, especially those in the clothing sector. By highlighting which aspects of customer reviews-like quality, fit, and durability-most influence satisfaction, we offer a strategic direction for businesses to tailor their products and services.

The performance evaluation of cold weather clothing is mainly carried out with thermal resistance. However, the results of the revised test method regarding the same specimen were decreased compare to previous one. In addition, there were deviations of the results among the authorized testing institutes according to the different interpretation of the KS test method. This makes it a considerable difficulty to the quality assurance of combat supplies. The purpose of this study is to minimize the variation of the results before and after the revision by analyzing the cause of the decrease in the heat insulation rate according to the revised test method. For this purpose, the difference between the test conditions before and after the revision of KS is analyzed and the possible results are reviewed. In addition, we want to minimize the result deviation between testing laboratories by analyzing the cause of the result deviation between test laboratories according to arbitrary interpretation of the standard. Based on this, we propose a standardized test method to prevent the decrease of the heat insulation rate by checking the pre-revision test method and the condition with the least deviation.
