뉴시니어 라이프스타일과 의복구매기준이 아웃도어 의류제품 디자인 선호도에 미치는 영향 (The Influence of New Seniors' Lifestyle and Apparel Purchase Criteria on Design Preference of Outdoor Apparel Products)

  • This research aimed to identify the characteristics of outdoor apparel market for new seniors. To achieve this goal, influence of new seniors' lifestyle and apparel purchase criteria of design preferences of outdoor apparel products were investigated. An online-survey was conducted targeting fifties who have bought outdoor apparel within one year. The collected data were carried out for factor analysis, independent sample T-test, and regression analysis by using SPSS 22.0. Results showed that new seniors' lifestyles were composed of appearance-orientation, well-being diet, well-being exercise, self-development, and challenge-orientation. Purchase criteria of outdoor apparels were factored out as practical, aesthetic, and social. Appearance -orientation and self-development affect aesthetic and social factors. Well-being diet influences all factors of purchase criteria. Challenge -orientation has effect only on social factor. Women favored round-and V-neckline more than men did as well as preferred half and 3/4 long for sleeve. Customers who value practical purchase criteria preferred half-sleeve, zipper, and button-closure designs. In contrast, customers who have aesthetic purchase criteria like round/V-neckline and cap sleeve. Social factor affected high neckline and vivid-tone color preference significantly. As outdoor design for new senior it is critical to introduce differentiation of outdoor brand with various designs combining functionalities of outdoor activities and style looking young and dandy, which is highlighted as trendy and casual, over current outdoor apparels' unified design.

거주지 별 자기이미지와 의복 추구이미지가 의복구매 의사결정에 미치는 영향 (The Influence of Self-Image and Pursued-Image of Clothes on the Clothing Purchase Decision Making According to the Residence)

  • The purpose of this study was to examine the role of consumers' self-image and pursued-image of clothes on the clothing purchase decision making according to the location. Data were obtained from a questionnaire filled out by 575 women living in Seoul and Jechon. For data comparative analysis, paired t-test, t-test, factor analysis and multiple regression analysis were used. The results of this study are as follows: 1. There were significant differences in self-image and pursued-image in terms of clothing purchases between women who live in Seoul and Jechon residents. 2. Demographic variables influenced to the self-image and pursued-image of clothes factor. Among them, size of the city was the most important factor which influence to the clothing purchase behavior. 3. Self-image, pursued-image of clothes, problem recognition and evaluative criteria factors significantly differed between Seoul and Jechon residents. In two cities, problem recognition factor which was arisen by external stimulus and all of the evaluative criteria factors showed significant differences. 4. When the cities were partitioned by size(large and small city), the influence of self-image and pursued-image of clothes on the clothing purchase behavior showed different phases. Generally, self image and pursued-image of clothes were more important to various problem recognition and evaluative criteria factors in large city(i.e. Seoul) than in small city(i.e. Jechon). However economic rational factor was the exception.

백화점 소비자의 서비스시설 이용성향과 의복구매행동: 시장세분화를 위한 유형 별 분석 (Patronage Orientations of Service Facilities and Clothing Purchase Behaviors: A Typology of Department Store Customer Segments)

  • The purposes of this study were to segment department store customers based on patronage orientations of service facilities in a department store and to develop a profile of each segment using store visit behaviors, clothing purchase behaviors and demographics. A total of 453 responses collected from an on-site questionnaire survey to female department store customers was analyzed. Cluster analysis on patronage orientations of department store service facilities identified four groups including: Active patrons(27.3%); Comparison patrons(27.6%); Convenience seekers(27.3%); and Minimum patrons(17.8%). ANOVA and $\chi$$^2$ analyses revealed significant differences among the four groups on store visit behaviors(the extent of store visits and the extent of service facility visits), clothing purchase behaviors(6 store choice criteria and the extent of clothing purchase), and 5 demographic characteristics. The study developed a profile of each segment and provided marketing implications.

골프웨어 소비자의 구매선택기준이 의복추구혜택과 구매만족도에 미치는 영향 (Influence of Consumers' Purchasing Selection Criteria for Golf-wear upon Clothing Pursuit Benefit and Purchase Satisfaction)

  • 본 연구는 골프웨어 소비자의 구매선택기준이 의복추구혜택과 구매만족도에 관한 연구를 분석하기 위하여 강원도 지역에 소재한 각 시 군 골프경기 및 골프연습장 이용객 중 총206명을 대상으로 선정하여 편의추출법(convenience sampling)을 사용하여 조사하였으며, 수집된 자료는 SPSS 13.0 프로그램을 이용하여 빈도와 백분율, 신뢰도 분석, 상관관계 및 다중회귀분석을 실시하였다. 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 인구사회학적 특성분석에 대한 결과 성별로 남자가 51.0%, 여자가 49.0%로 비슷한 분포를 보였다. 연령별로 40대에서 50대의 연령대가 가장 많게 나타났으며, 결혼 유무는 기혼이 57.3%로 미혼 42.7%로 조금 높게 나타났다. 건강상태별로는 건강한 편이 79.4% 가장 많음을 알 수 있다. 둘째, 골프웨어 소비자의 구매선택기준이, 의복추구혜택, 만족도의 상관관계에서 모두 양의 상관관계를 보였다. 셋째, 골프웨어 구매선택기준이 의복추구혜택의 관계에 대한 분석결과 구매선택기준이 의복추구혜택인 이상적 추구, 유행과 브랜드, 편안함 추구, 젊음과 개성 추구에 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 넷째, 골프웨어 구매선택기준이 구매만족도의 관계에 대한 분석결과는 소비자들의 골프웨어 구매만족도에서 유의한 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다.

맞음새 관련 요인과 의복평가기준이 의복만족도에 미치는 영향 -체형, 치수중요성, 활동중요성을 중심으로- (Effects of Fit-Related Factors and Clothing Evaluation Criteria on Clothing Satisfaction)

  • This study was explored the relationship of fit-related factors and, clothing evaluation criteria to clothing satisfaction. A total of 247 completed responses were obtained from a convenient sample of female students in their twenties. The statistical analysis methods included factor analysis, an ANOVA, and a multiple regression analysis. First, clothing evaluation criteria included practicality, product trait, and symbolism. Second, a comparison of clothing evaluation criteria and clothing satisfaction in groups divided by fit-related factors showed significant differences. In particular, the fat body type group showed higher level of the product trait and the thin body type group showed lower level of clothing satisfaction. The high activity group showed higher levels of clothing evaluation criteria and lower level of clothing satisfaction. Third, body type perception (-) and activity importance (-), fit-related factors, and practicality (+), clothing evaluation criterion had significant effects on clothing satisfaction. Therefore, These results suggest that fashion firms should make efficient use of fit-related factors and clothing evaluation criteria to enhance consumers' clothing satisfaction and to stimulate their purchase intention toward fashion goods.

한국과 중국 조선족 여대생의 의복태도와 의복구매평가기준 비교 (Comparison of Clothing Attitudes and Clothing Purchase Criteria between Korean and Korean-Chinese College Female Students)

  • The purpose of this study was to compare clothing attitudes and the criteria for clothing selection between Korean and Korean-Chinese college female students in the Yanbian region of China. The subjects were selected as follows: 404 Korean female college students in the Choongchung area and 242 Korean-Chinese female college students in the Yanbian region of China. Questionnaires were used to collect the data and the data was analyzed by frequency, factor analysis, and t-test. The major results of this study were as follows: The clothing attitudes of the total respondents were classified into 5 factors: the fashion involving factor, the modesty involving factor, the economy conscious factor, the brand-name oriented factor, and the practical user factor. The modesty involving factor, the economy conscious factor, the brand-name oriented factor, and the practical user factor were significantly different between Korean and Korean-Chinese college female students. Korean consumers thought highly of the economy conscious factor and the practical user factor compared with Korean-Chinese college female students. However, Korean-Chinese college female students thought highly of the brand-name oriented factor and the modesty factor compared with Korean consumers.

패션잡지 마케팅 전략을 위한 라이프스타일 유형에 따른 소비자 행동연구 (A Study on Consumer Behaviors by Types of Lifestyle for Fashion Marketing Strategy)

  • The purpose of this study was to observe lifestyle of female consumers aged 15-25. Also it was to measure brand awareness, to determine purchase criteria in fashion magazine, and to determine promotion preferences according to lifestyle segmentation variables. We distributed 600 questionnaires and 475 reliable questionnaires were used for a statical analysis. Data analyses were conducted with SPSS program on the frequency mean value, Chi-square test, Cluster analysis, and Factor analysis. We classified four clusters such as individual style seekers, trend seekers, promotion/good appearance seekers, and low fashion interest group, based on lifestyle variables. There was a significant difference in brand awareness in Vogue Girl, Cosmo Girl, Elle, Figaro, Ecole magazine among four clusters. There was a significant difference in such purchase criteria as favorable cover models, good "burok" which is a magazine supplement, brand names, and price among four clusters. In addition, the results of ANOVA represent that there was a significant difference in preferred types of promotion such as discount price, clothing gifts, fashion accessary gifts and hair tool gifts. However, the first ranked preferred one was a cosmetic gift in all the magazines, which favored more by trend seeker group.

의복구매 의사결정과정의 가격관련반응에 따른 단계적 구분과 특성에 관한 질적 연구 (The Qualitative Study on Consumers' Price Related Response in Clothing Purchase Decision-Making Process)

  • Consumers' price related response in the clothing purchase decision-making process includes their expectation of price, price perception, attitude toward price and consequent behaviors. The purposes of this research are to systematically organize consumers' price related responses in the clothing purchase decision-making process, and to explain the effect of price on their purchasing. The qualitative research including shopping observation and in-depth interview was conducted. The result identified stages that showed different price related responses in clothing purchase decision-making process, and clarified each stage's characteristics. In the internal search stage, consumers recalled price information from memory and had a specific expectation about the price. This set a direction for the external search. In the external search stage, consumers selected brands or stores by a non-compensatory evaluating with an expectation of the price, and narrowed these down to several determinant alternatives by actively evaluating the products. In case a sufficient amount of price information was not recalled, the consumer established reference price through the external search. Finally, in the purchasing stage, consumers evaluated the determinant alternatives based on their compensatory evaluation. When perception of price was negative, consumers evaluate price combined with the higher criteria of clothing benefits, such as symbolic value and usability. The research is expected to contribute to predicting consumers' responses to price, and to establishing an effective pricing strategy.

20-30대 여성 소비자들의 소비가치 유형에 따른 해외 패션명품 브랜드 가방 구매행동 (Purchase Behaviors on Imported Fashion Luxury Brand's Bag according to the Types of Consumption Values of Female Consumers in 20's and 30's)

  • The purpose of this study was to classify the consumption values of 20's and 30's female consumers, identify the differences among the consumption value groups, and analyze purchase behaviors of imported fashion luxury brands according to the consumption value types. The subjects were 518 women who purchased luxury bags. The results of the study were as follows. First, as a result of cluster analysis to classify the consumption values of 20's and 30's female consumers, 4 groups were identified as "rare and emotional pursuit group", "functional pursuit group", "fashion pursuit group", and "social and conspicuous pursuit group". Second, 4 groups showed different luxury bag purchase behaviors, such as purchase motivation, purchase selection criteria, information source, purchase frequency, purchase cost of one time, purchase cost of year, the number of possession, purchase place, and store selection criteria. Third, rare and emotional pursuit group ranked the first in terms of product, price, and store satisfaction. Therefore, consumption values were identified as the important factor suggesting purchase behaviors of female consumers in 20's and 30's.

인터넷 쇼핑 성향에 따른 한국과 중국 소비자의 의류 제품 구매행동 (Apparel Purchase Behaviors of Korean and Chinese Consumers according to Internet Shopping Orientation)

  • This study aims to examine impacts of the Internet shopping orientation of Korean and Chinese consumers on their selection criteria of shopping malls and apparel products, frequencies and amounts of purchase, and information search in the Internet shopping mall. A survey was carried out with Korean and Chinese female consumers in their 20s and 30s who have the Internet shopping experiences. The results of this study were as follows: First, the Internet shopping orientation of Korean and Chinese respondents clearly showed factorial structures including the pleasure-conscious, fashion-conscious, price-conscious, and convenience-conscious orientation. From a result of the cluster analysis on four factors of the Internet shopping orientation, Korean and Chinese respondents were classified into three groups of the Internet shopping-unconscious, the Internet shopping-loyalty, and pleasure convenience-conscious. Second, there were significant differences in selection criteria of both the Internet shopping mall and apparel products among three groups of the Internet shopping orientation in Korea and China. Third, significant differences were identified in visiting frequencies, apparel purchase frequencies and amounts, payment methods, and information sources during the Internet shopping among three groups of the Internet shopping orientation in Korea and China.
