In this study, a self-administered questionnaire was distributed to young career women and female undergraduate students. Of 580 questionnaires, 496 were used in the following analysis. The data was analyzed with the SPSS package. The research method used factor and reliability analysis to segment consumers by their knitwear evaluation criteria. T-test, one-way ANOVA and χ²were used to characterize the impact of characteristics of the consumer on knitwear evaluation criteria and information source searching in buying knitwear. The results of this study were as follows. First, the information sources of consumers were significantly different depending on their demographic characteristics(age). According to the difference in relationship between the age of consumers and information sources, the younger the consumer, the more information in fashion magazine, the older, in fashion advertisement on catalog. Their knitwear evaluation criteria were significantly different depending on demographic characteristics(job, age, education, marital status) and the general buying characteristics of knitwear(annual knitwear/clothing buying expense and frequency). Career women and married women placed significant importance on practical aspects like quality and price characteristics, while undergraduate students and single women placed significant importance on practical aspects like quality and price characteristics, while undergraduate students and single women placed significant importance on aesthetic and self-expression characteristics. Also, a group with higher annual knitwear/clothing buying expense and frequency considered aesthetic and self-expression characteristics more important. The lower the annual knitwear/clothing buying expense and frequency, the higher a group considered quality and price characteristics more important.

  • The frequency of breast augmentation surgery continues to increase annually; however, the method of follow-up care varies from hospital to hospital. In particular, many different types of post-operative bras are available in the market. This study evaluated the wearing comfort of various commercial bras that were worn immediately after breast enlargement surgery prior to the manufacture of the bra. According to interviews of medical professionals and market research, five types of brassiere were selected and evaluated by wearing satisfaction, functional performance, and an external appearance test for 6 subjects with breast augmentation surgery. The evaluation questionnaires were based on a 5 point Likert scale with data analyzed using SPSS 20.0. The study results revealed that the bra with the highest degree of satisfaction was CNB (without bra cup) type. However, the use of CNB type showed dissatisfaction in functional evaluation questions regarding breast shaking and material & tactile sensation. In the future, it is necessary to develop a new post-operative brassiere based on a CNB type bra that showed the best evaluation. However, it is also necessary to identify the merits of the other four experimental bras and reflect these advantages.

  • In this study, a questionnaire was compiled by conducting interviews and preliminary surveys, and then handed out to a total of 270 welders working in shipyards to investigate their opinions on welding clothes. By which investigation, it was intended to understand their dissatisfactions and issues with conventional welding clothes and then propose of such welding clothes as may offer better fit and suitability. A total of twenty welding suits were collected to find the locations and degrees of wear and tear. Due to too large differences in the locations and degrees of wear and tear among the clothes, the evaluation was focused on ten suits out of the twenty suits collected. The researcher’s subjective judgment was used to select the nineteen most severely damaged parts, which were then photographed in a uniform distance and evaluated by a group of experts in terms of the degree of damage in order to locate most severely damaged parts and select adequate materials for those parts in designing an experimental suit. Based on two above evaluations, the experimental welding suit was produced in consideration of the design, materials and patterns. A lab evaluation and a site evaluation were conducted to compare the experimental suit and other conventional suits, a lab evaluation and a field evaluation were performed.
