  • The purpose of this study is to clarify the classification and the spatial form of the named coastal landforms which are collected from the specialized magazine for fishing as a collective representative. The costal landform, viewing from the fishing activity, is divided into 9 types which are Yo(sunken rock), Kaeppai(rock-ribbed coast), Jolbyeok(cliff), Koppuri(spite), Chagalmadang(shringle beach), Kanchulam(intermitent rock), Mulgol(valley sea), Kaeppul(tidal flat), Sajang(sandy coast). And the characterstics of the 9types of landform were analyzed. The results of this study will contribute to establish teory on conservation and rehabilitation of costal landscape.

  • Mogao Grottos are located at the eastern foot of the Mingsha Mountain, 25km southeast of Dunhuang City. The caves were excavated into the cliff on the west bank of the Daquan River. The wall paintings in the caves are subject to the severe deterioration generated by recrystallization of salt. It relates with the movement of water/moisture in rock formation. Through the satellite image analysis and geological survey it has been clarified that the movement of ground water is governed by the fault system. The geographical nature is specified by the aggressive tectonic movement from the south.

  • The purpose of the study is to develop a synthetic method for generating arbitrary number of not the same but similar texture images. The method includes processes to extract basic shape elements from texture images originating in actual objects, to select them to reappear the image features and to arrange them in a image plane. The authors have already proposed the shape-pass type filter bank assuming that the sensual impression mainly depends on minute shapes existing in the texture images. By use of nine basic shape elements, namely black/white-roof, black/white-line, black/white-snake, black/white-pepper, and cliff, natural texture images originating in actual objects have been characterized by feature vectors in a nine dimensional space. Flexural ductility and deformability of reinforced and prestressed concrete sections

  • In designing a flexural member for structural safety, both the flexural strength and ductility have to be considered. For this purpose, the flexural ductility of reinforced concrete sections has been studied quite extensively. As there have been relatively few studies on the flexural ductility of prestressed concrete sections, it is not well understood how various structural parameters affect the flexural ductility. In the present study, the full-range flexural responses of reinforced and prestressed concrete sections are analyzed taking into account the nonlinearity and stress-path dependence of constitutive materials. From the numerical results, the effects of steel content, yield strength and degree of prestressing on the yield curvature and ultimate curvature are evaluated. It is found that whilst the concept of flexural ductility in terms of the ductility factor works well for reinforced sections, it can be misleading when applied to prestressed concrete sections. For prestressed concrete sections, the concept of flexural deformability in terms of ultimate curvature times overall depth of section may be more appropriate.

  • The Ministry of National Defense announced 'Defense Reform 2.0' that aims to strengthen the country's security for decrease of regional uncertainties, growing requirements for advanced technologies, and a need for more efficiency in the Republic of Korea(RoK) Armed Forces this year. It said RoK Armed Forces have to change efficiently in preparation for rapid decline in military service resources as demographic cliff turning into reality, and the rapid evolution of the "battlefield environment" caused by developments in military science and technologies. RoK Navy combat Management System(CMS) made by domestic proprietary technology since 2000s and development centered on Agency for Defense Development require design changes for added requirements. So in this paper, I propose method of design a low cost and high efficiency navy CMS architecture based on high performance server and virtualization technology. And I create a test environment for analysis performance and compare the performance of proposed navy CMS and existing navy CMS.

강화도 동막해변의 지질명소로서 가치와 증진 방안에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Values Of Dongmag Beach as a Geosite and Increasing its Values)

  • Dongmag beach area contains diverse geological and geomorphological outcrops which can be used for geotourism purposes. They are as follows; headland with granodiorite with plenty of enclaves and sandy beach, which is fed from Manisan with well-developed sheeting joints composed of granite and granodiorite. Weathered material from the hillside feedsthe one and only sandy beach in Ganghwado Island. Weathered outcrop at the hillside behind beach exposes typical spherical weathering also. Bunori Dondae Fort which was built on top of sea cliff with granodiorite has plenty of history and cultural values commands an extraordinary view of tidal flats and coastal landforms. This geosite with high geodiversity can be used for interpreters who provide balanced views of nature conservation.

  • The tombs at the royal level of the Western Han dynasties belong to the five kingdoms of Chu, Liang, Lu, Zhongshan and Changyi, representing the new forms and ideas of the tomb architecture. Taking Shanchuwang Tomb in BeidongShan, Xuzhou as an example, this paper analyzes the architectural structure and symbolic significance of the tomb, and tries to discuss the concept of burial reflected in it.The analysis of the structure of the main body of the tomb reveals the basic logic of the tomb imitating the palace on the ground, and the definition of the nature of the annex reflects its transcendence over the general form of the tomb.

  • There are unimaginable possibilities ahead of us. As a result, it is difficult to predict the future, but the prediction itself is not meaningless. This is because it can have the flexibility to cope with contingencies by predicting various possibilities. This study was conducted to explore extreme events (X-event) in the Korean population sector. To this end, in-depth interviews were conducted with experts from the Korea Army Research Center for Future & Innovation and the Army College, and based on this, significant research results were derived that population problems such as population decline and aging can affect various fields such as economy. With this study, we hope that discussions on extreme events (X-event) that can occur in our society will be further activated.

  • 학습 속도가 느린 강화학습을 범용적으로 활용할 수 있도록 연구가 활발하게 이루어지고 있다. 사전 지식을 제공해서 학습 속도를 높일 수 있지만, 잘못된 사전 지식을 제공했을 위험이 존재한다. 본 연구는 불확실하거나 잘못된 사전 지식이 학습에 어떤 영향을 미치는지 살펴본다. OpenAI Gym 라이브러리를 이용해서 만든 Gamble 환경, Cliff 환경, 그리고 Maze 환경에서 실험을 진행했다. 그 결과 사전 지식을 통해 에이전트의 행동에 경향성을 부여할 수 있다는 것을 확인했다. 또한, 경로탐색에 있어서 잘못된 사전 지식이 얼마나 학습을 방해하는지 알아보았다.

서 남극 킹조지 섬 마리안 소만의 홀로세 빙해양 퇴적작용 (Holocene Glaciomarine Sedimentation in Marian Cove, King George Island, West Antarctica)

  • 서남극 남쉐틀랜드 군도 킹조지 섬 마리안 소만에서 중력시추기로 얻은 길이 2.3 m의 시추퇴적물은 홀로세 동안 이 지역에서 일어났던 빙해양 퇴적작용의 특성을 보여준다. 층준 115 cm를 기준으로 상부층과 하부층으로 나뉘어진다. 하부층은 조립질 물질이 우세하며 상부는 리드마이트와 괴상(塊狀) 니질(泥質) 층이 우세하다. 상부층에서 우세한 조립물질은 보통 빙하로 운반된 물질과 이미 존재하던 빙퇴석으로 구성되는 바, 세립물질은 융빙수, 빙하,바람으로 공급된 육성기원 쇄설물이 대부분이며 생물기원물질도 상당량 혼재되었다. 세립물질 내에 포함된 조립물질은 유빙운반물질로 해석된다. 깊이 105cm의 아래부분은 질소 총량, 탄소 총량, 유기물 총량이 적은 반면 유황 총량과 탄산칼슘 총량은 많다. 유기물 총량과 질소총량 사이의 비(C/N ratio)는 대체로 큰 변화가 없다. 현재의 마리안소만 동쪽 빙벽은 리드마이트와 빙퇴석의 산출시기를 고려할 때 지금부터 8,300년 전에는 1.6km 서쪽에 위치했던 것으로 보인다. 마리안소만의 퇴적물은 7,970${\pm}$70년 전 빙벽이 시추심 위치에서 후퇴하면서 세립물질과 유빙운반물질이 우세해졌다.
