인공 신경망에서 은닉 유닛 명확화를 이용한 효율적인 규칙추출 방법 (A Efficient Rule Extraction Method Using Hidden Unit Clarification in Trained Neural Network)

  • 인공 신경망은 최근 다양한 분야에서 뛰어난 성능을 보여주고 있다. 하지만 인공 신경망이 학습한 지식이 정확히 어떤 내용인지를 사람이 파악하기 어렵다는 문제점이 존재하는데, 이를 해결하기 위한 방법 중 하나로 학습된 인공 신경망에서 규칙을 추출하는 방법들이 연구되고 있다. 본 연구에서는 학습된 인공 신경망으로부터 규칙을 추출하는 방법 중 하나인 ordered-attribute search(OAS) 알고리즘을 사용하여 인공 신경망으로부터 규칙을 추출해보고, 추출된 규칙을 개선하기 위해 규칙들을 분석하였다. 그 결과로 은닉 층의 출력값 분포가 OAS 알고리즘을 이용해 추출된 규칙의 정확도에 영향을 주는 것을 파악하였고, 은닉 유닛 명확화 기법을 통해 은닉 층 출력값을 이진화하여 효율적인 규칙을 추출할 수 있음을 제시하였다.

Downstream Process for the Production of Yeast Extract Using Brewer's Yeast Cells

  • A downstream process was developed for the production of yeast extract from brewer's yeast cells. Various downstream processing conditions including clarification, debittering, and the Maillard reaction were considered in the development of the process. This simple and economic clarification process used flocculating agents, specifically calcium chloride ($1\%$). After the clarification step, a Maillard reaction is initiated as a flavor-enhancing step. By investigating the effects of several operation parameters, including the type of sugar added, sugar dosage, glycine addition, and temperature, on the degree of browning (DB), giucose addition and reaction temperature were found to have significant effects on DB. A synthetic adsorption resin (HP20) was used for the debittering process, which induced a compositional change of the hydrophobic amino acids in the yeast hydrolysate, thereby reducing the bitter taste. The overall dry matter yield and protein yield for the entire process, including the downstream process proposed for the production of brewer's yeast extract were 50 and $50\%$, respectively.

  • Purpose: This article is a comprehensive review for concept clarification of critical thinking, clinical reasoning, and clinical judgment, which still lack a consensus and are of mixed use. Methods: Norris's method of concept clarification was used to review concepts that have no clear definition or conceptualization yet. Results: This review summarized literature from various disciplines, classified each concept based on similarities and differences, and provided hypothetic conceptual schema. Conclusion: Clinical reasoning and clinical judgment are clinical situation specific concepts, while critical thinking is a concept applied in general situations. Critical thinking is a broader concept and serves as a foundation for clinical reasoning and clinical judgment. Clinical reasoning precedes clinical judgment. Clinical judgement implies the end point or conclusion of clinical reasoning. Each of critical thinking, clinical reasoning, and clinical judgment is a cognitive and affective process not a psychomotor process. The concept of clinical competency involves action taken after the cognitive processes of clinical reasoning and clinical judgment.

Toward a Conceptual Clarification of Foreign Language Anxiety

  • Despite the noteworthy increase in the number of FL anxiety studies, inconsistencies associated with the effects of FL anxiety on language learner performance have been reported in literature. Such conflicting results seem to be attributable in part to unstable conceptualization of the FL anxiety construct and its measure. This paper purported to address the emerging call for a theoretical clarification of the construct at hand as a preface to a clear picture of language anxiety on a conceptual ground. This paper not only covers aspects of general anxiety from psychological perspectives, but examines how FL anxiety and its associated concepts have been conceptualized in the literature. Inconsistent results that pertain to FL learning were also delineated. Given the drawbacks found in the exiting theories of FL anxiety, several points were taken into account for a refinement of the conceptual framework. This attempt will hopefully shed new light on the construct per se and prove conducive to the development of the field of English education.

  • The purposes of this study is to investigate the factor structure of web-site characteristics and antecedents factors affected to trust, satisfaction and behavioral intention of web-site. Refined data were consisted of 4 internet shopping mall survey and estimated the perception to visiting web site. Statistical methods are adapted Frequency, Factor Analysis and CFA(Confirmatory Factor Analysis) of LISREL. 8 program. Research findings are as follows. The factors of web characteristics indicated to product information/buying procedure clarification, stability and function of system, usability of web site, security and protection of individual information, design, clarification of enterpriser information, various payment methods and customer service. In regression analysis, dependent variables were trust, satisfaction and behavioral intention. reputation of site were significantly effected variables. External variables consisted of the 4 characteristics of web-site and reputation and trust, satisfaction and behavioral intention were internal factor.

  • Speed log measurement has always been of utmost importance to the mariners. To date the most accurate maritime speed measurement comes from Doppler measurement, where speed may be measured relative to either water(speed through water) or seabed(speed over ground). Recently, a clarification has been issued by the International Maritime Organization (IMO) regarding the speed measuring devices, which could ultimately impact the final arrangement of these devices for ships being constructed after July 1, 2014. This paper will discuss the clarification in depth and necessary action which shall be taken by the owners and operators of the ships impacted.
