This study report foot drop patients, who improved by taping therapy. We applied therapy and check ROM, walking ability, MMT. It is considered that this therapy is meaningful for Foot drop.

Objectives : The aim of this study was to try to embody the method of treating Tempromandibular Joint Disorder in Oriental Medicine. Methods : I had researched anatomic features and functions of TMJ, causes and symptoms of TMD and reviewed classic medicine books in Oriental Medicine on Sanjiao. Then, I tried to interpret the disorder in the point of Sanjiao's 'Cooperative Relationship'. Results and Conclusions : 1. Symptoms of TMD IS not limited at TMJ and spread in whole body by circulation of Sanjiaojing. 2. Sanjiao is a invisible organ to control the general physical functions as 'Cooperative Relationship'. 3. It is a due in improving the symptoms of TMD to regulate Sanjiao-Jing-qi and balance the Yin-Yang.

Objective : The purpose of this study is evaluated the effects of Oriental treatments to symptoms and quality of life in the patients with herniated cervical disc being suggested operation. Methods : 20 patients diagnosed with herniated cervical disc by MRI in hospital were treated by oriental medical treatments. Symptoms of the patients were assessed by analogue scale(VAS) and SF-36. Results : After 12 weeks treatments, the VAS of symptoms of herniated cervical disc and the score of SF-36 were significantly improved. Conclusions : It could be suggested that oriental medical treatments were effective for the patients with herniated cervical disc being suggested operation. Further study of the effect of oriental medical treatments on herniated cervical disc is needed.

Objectives : The propose of this study is to find out the clinical application of conservative treatment for SLAP lesion. Methods : We examined 2 patients with SLAP lesion who admitted Jaseng Hospital of Oriental Medicine. The patients were treated by conservative treatments including herbal mixture, acupuncture, pharmacupuncture. Results : In this study, in the end of continuous conservative treatment, patient's shoulder pain has improved. Visual Analog Score(VAS) were also decreased. Conclusions : A conservative treatment for SLAP lesion was effective in restore of functional activities, but usefulness of this treatment needs more study.

Objectives : The purpose of this study is to evaluate the korean medical treatment for carpal tunnel syndrome, especially taping therapy for carpal space expansion. Methods : Six patients were treated with acupuncture, moxibustion and kinesio taping therapy. To evaluate the pain and numbness of the palm and finger, visual analogue scale(VAS) and Phalen's test were used. Results : After about 10 to 20 times treatment, the pain and numbness of almost cases were remarkably removed. Also the VAS of post-treatment was reduced by 1.33(means). And the time being required to response to Phalen's test was signally prolonged, as 5 cases took over one minute. Conclusions : Korean medical treatment including expansion taping of carpal space as kinesio correction therapy is remarkably effective for carpal tunnel syndrome. But further studies are required to concretely prove the effectiveness of correction taping on other compressive neuropathy.

Objectives : To introduce the Jeongham Therapy which means a mandibul-rectifying treatment. And to show meaningful changes of thoracic kypkosis and lumbar lordosis by the Jeongham Therapy. Methods : We reviewed 8 patients having abnormal thoracic kyphosis and lumbar lordosis who were treated at the JeongHam Korean Medical Clinic. We measured thoracic kyphosis and lumbar lordosis by 3D Body Analyzer 'IBS 2000'. Results : Between before and after the Jeongham Therapy, statically significant differences were found in the thoracic kyphosis and lumbar lordosis. And in these values of measurements, the thoracic kyphosis and lumbar lordosis diminish after the Jeongham Therapy. Conclusion : These results suggest that the Jeongham Therapy is a meaningful therapy to diminish the thoracic kyphosis and lumbar lordosis.

목적: 이 증례 보고는 성인 특발성 측만증 환자에 있어서 등의 통증과 척추 만곡에 대한 침 치료의 효과를 보고하기 위한 것이다. 방법: 증례의 환자는 25세 여자 환자로 9년 동안 우측 흉추 측만증과 등과 허리의 통증이 있었다. 1주일에 3번, 3주간 침 치료를 시행했고, 치료 전후로 Whole spine x-ray를 촬영하였으며, 환자의 통증 정도를 Visual Analog Scale(VAS)로 평가하였다. 내원시 Cobb angle은 $22^{\circ}$였고, 관상면 균형은 -3.0cm, 쇄골각은 $-3.5^{\circ}$였다. VAS 8의 통증을 호소하였다. 결과: Cobb angle은 $5^{\circ}$ 감소하였고, 관상면 균형은 1.4cm, 쇄골각은 $1.7^{\circ}$ 회복되었다. 등과 허리의 통증은 VAS 8에서 VAS 3으로 감소하였다. 결론: 침 치료는 특발성 척추 측만증 환자에 있어서 등과 허리의 통증뿐만 아니라 척추 측만을 개선시키고 관상면 균형 회복에도 효과적이다.

Objectives : This report is about a case of a patient who improvement in general condition, Infection and bowel after and urinary dysfunction. Methods : We diagnosed that symptoms as Wejeung(?證), and employed oriental medical treatments, herb medication, acupuncture, electro-acupuncture, moxibustion and physical therapy. Results : In the first case, neurologic impairment was aggravated despite of 15 days of treatments. In the second case, motor and defecation was improved. Conclusions : There is no specific treatment for acute transverse myelitis in the Western medicine. Several case reports revealed clinical improvement of subacute or chronic transverse myelitis in the oriental medicine. We anticipated that the researches regarding treatment for acute transverse myelitis in the oriental medicine will be encouraged in the near future.

Objectives : This report is about a case of a patient who improvement in general condition, Infection and dysphagia after poststroke seizure. Methods : We observed a patiet who received treatment in hospital because of stroke sequelae. Her symptoms were left hemiplegia, right hemiparesis, dysphagia, dyspnea, sputum and general weakness, and acupunture and herb medicine were applied. Results : Stroke is the most common cause of seizures in the elderly. The impact of late onset GTC(generalized tonic-clonic) seizures is associated with worse outcomes. Conclusion : The patient of this case was attacked by intracerebal hemorrhage, cerebaral infarction and GTC seizures. Since then her neurologic disorder was progressed. As the treatments of the patient, herb medication and acupuncture therapy were applied and she got a wide improvement of dysphagia, dyspnea, URI sign and general condition.

This study was performed to report the effect of oriental medical treatment and general biomechanic manipulation on a patient with upper limb palsy caused by postural brachial plexus injury. The patient was treated with acupuncture, herb medicine and general biomechanic manipulation. The effectiveness of treatment was evaluated with range of motion, visual analogue scale and manual muscle test. After 11 times treatment, motion and muscular force were progressed, pain was decreased. This result suggests that oriental medical treatment and general coordinative manipulation are effective to care the postural brachial plexus injury.
