This study was intended to investigate the effect of aptitude of child care teacher of child care trainees on the stress of child care practice and management of stress as quality and aptitude of child care teachers are being discussed and necessity of revaluation on teaching practice of child care trainees are being brought up recently. First, as a result of collecting data from 268 child care trainees, stress of child care and teaching practice and stress management showed difference between grades. Secondly, among lower factors of aptitude of child care teachers, it was identified that stress is higher in a relationship between child care center director and guidance teachers when sociability with infants is lower. Thirdly, it was identified that teachers can cope with stress of child care and teaching practice when they have higher creativity, self-development, activeness, and positiveness among lower factors of aptitude of child care teachers.
The purpose of this study was to investigate the basic materials for enhancing the professionalism of 51 infant/toddler teachers through in-depth interview about the actual condition of child care centers. The results were as follows: First, the infant/toddler teachers got less credits of young child care and education subjects than day care teachers did. The current criteria for qualification of infant/toddler teachers was not appropriate for providing the child care services. An efficient and substantial curriculum must be designed to facilitate the day care services for infant/toddler teachers. Second, the infant/toddler teachers recognized that their roles were similar to child care teachers. The curriculum and practice must encourage and nurture the characters, beliefs, and dispositions of infant/toddler teachers. Third, it is necessary to review the various problems to enhance the professionalism of infant/toddler teachers. Several suggestions for enhancing the professionalism are discussed.
The purpose of this study was to investigate the influence of teachers' knowledge of infant development and efficacy of child care on perception of professionalism. The participants of this study were 264 child care teachers who were in charge of infants in child care centers in Gyunggi Province. Instruments to measure teachers' knowledge of infant development, efficacy of child care and perception of professionalism as teachers were used in this study and the data were analyzed by descriptive statistics, the hierarchical regression, and the structural equation model analysis by AMOS. Based on the hierarchical regression, efficacy of child care influenced on perception of professionalism rather than knowledge of infant development. The moderation effect of efficacy of child care existed in the relationship between teachers' knowledge of infant development and perception of professionalism.

The collected data were analyzed by correlation analysis, hierarchical multiple regression analysis using the SPSS 23.0 program. The results of this study are as follows. Results: First, infants' adjustment to child care centers showed a statistically significant relationship with infants' nonverbal communication ability and teachers' sensitivity. Second, among the variables explaining infants' adjustment to child care centers, the effect of teachers' sensitivity was higher than the effect of infants' nonverbal communication ability. Participants were 191 child care teachers from 19 corporate-sponsored child care centers. Data was analyzed using Pearson's productive correlation and hierarchical multiple regression tests. Important findings were as follows: First, the overload of task was the dominant factor in causing job stress. Secondly, social support correlated negatively with child care teachers' job stress. Thirdly, child care teachers' problem-focused coping strategy was also found to be related to their job stress. Finally, the effect of social support on child care teachers' job stress was partially mediated by their problem-focused coping strategy.
Objective: The purpose of this study is to explore the ways in which childcare teachers understand and implicate the standards of national competency by searching for and analyzing the awareness of it. Methods: For this, the survey was conducted on 264 child care teachers working in daycare centers. The screening tool was constructed based on the content provided in the child care field of the NCS, and the questionnaire items were developed by referring to previous research. Results: Recognition of the child care teacher's awareness of the NCS was very low. The activity of child care teachers for the category of capability proposed by the NCS showed significant differences depending on work experience. The degree of awareness of child care teachers for the category of capability proposed by the NCS showed significant differences depending on work experience. The difference between the activity of child care teachers and the degree of awareness of child care teachers for the category of capability proposed by the NCS showed significant differences. Conclusion: In the future, it is necessary for the NCS to be constantly supplemented and ensure that the capability to perform practical functions is fulfilled in daycare centers.
Objective: The purpose of this study was to examine the relationships between child care teachers' mindfulness, burnout, and sensitivity. Also, the effects of child care teachers' mindfulness on teacher sensitivity, including the mediating effects of burnout, were investigated. Methods: A total of 263 child care teachers who work in Seoul, Gyeonggi and Incheon participated in this study. Data were analyzed by correlations and regressions using SPSS 21.0. Results: First, there were significant correlations between child care teachers' mindfulness, burnout and teacher sensitivity. Second, the relationship between mindfulness and teacher sensitivity was partially mediated by burnout. To be specific, mindfulness not only had a direct effect on teacher sensitivity, but also had an indirect effect on teacher sensitivity through burnout. Among the three dimensions of burnout, the decrease of personal accomplishments had the biggest significant mediation effect on the relationship between mindfulness and teacher sensitivity. Conclusion/Implications: In conclusion, this study highlights the importance of mindfulness in reducing burnout and enhancing teacher sensitivity toward children. Also, this research has implications for future research regarding the mindfulness of child care teachers and offers a foundation for the development of mindfulness training programs for child care teachers.

Objective: This study examined the relationships among social support in the workplace, social support outside the workplace, child care teachers' psychological burnout, and teacher-child interactions. Methods: The subjects of this study were 262 child care teachers and they responded to questionnaires on research variables. Data were analyzed using structural equation modeling. Results: First, social support outside the workplace had a direct effect on teacher-child interactions; that is, child care teachers, who perceived that they received a high level of social support outside the workplace, had high-quality interactions with children. Second, social support in the workplace had an indirect effect on teacher-child interactions through child care teachers' psychological burnout. In other words, child care teachers, who perceived that they received a high level of social support in the workplace, experienced less psychological burnout, which led to high-quality interactions with children. Conclusion/Implications: This study confirmed that the paths in which social support in the workplace and social support outside the workplace influence teacher-child interactions were different. Although the pathways were different, the results of this study emphasize that both types of social support are important factors that promote teacher-child interactions.
