PDP 패널용 전도막 광학 필터 제조에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Manufacture of Optical Filters for PDP Panel in Conductive Types)

  • The functional dyes, which has various optical characteristics that can be applicable to field of electronic, photo electronic, such as sensor or electrode, were synthesized. Physical property and optical stability was studied with preparation of conductive type film as a kind of optical filter of plasma display panel, by adapting neon cut off dye, which can selectively absorbing between 580 and 610nm wavelength. The filter was prepared with PSA resin, which has functional group of - COOH and - OH, as binder. And the characters such as spectroscopy, heat-proof / wet-proof, thermal stability and commerciality, which must be held by functional dyes, were examined. Conductive type film is the kind of film includes only neon cut off dyes. For the neon cut off dyes, cyanine dyes can be applied. And it is observed that spectrum of before and after the durability test are not changed due to stability of dyes, as the result of coating on the mesh film with PSA binder.

  • The performance of grass filter strips (GFS) in abating $PO_4$-P concentrations from the forage cropland was tested in an experiment on the 10% slope in Grassland and Forages Division, National Institute of Animal Science, Rural Development Administration (RDA) from October 2007 to September 2009. Forage croplands with rye-corn double cropping system applied with chemical fertilizer and livestock manure (LM) were compared in a natural condition. The plots were hydrologically isolated Main plots consisted of the length of GFS, such as 0m, 5m, 10m and 15m. Sub plots consisted of the type of LM, such as chemical fertilizer (CF), composted cattle manure (CCM) and composted swine manure (CSM). Concentrations of PO4-P in surface runoff water were reduced as the length of GFS increased. Especially, GFS with 10m and 15m reduced $PO_4$-P concentrations significantly compared to that with 0m and 5m (p<0.05). The results from this study suggest that GFS improved the removal and trapping $PO_4$-P from forage croplands.

  • Several squarylium dyes, derived from benzothiazole and indoles, were synthesized as a potential NIR dyes with absorption in the 700-900 nm region. These chromophores were induced much more bathochromic shift in the absorption maximum of the compound relative to the neutral parent squarylium dyes which we were described before. The squaryliums offer a convenient way of linking the dye to functional substrates and may be an advantage to be potential chromophores for NIR-absorbing, NIR-Cut-off filter, PDT(Photo Dynamic Therapy) materials.

  • The physical and chemical characteristics of bacteriostatic water filter media are compared to granular activated carbon upon which a silver impregnated. Silver ion that has been chemically impregnated the activated carbon was the bactericidal agent in water filter media. Also, silver Ion that has teen chemically impregnated onto the activated acetate resin was the bactericidal agent in ultrasonic humidifier. Silver impregnated active carbon and silver cartridge will be able to the bactericidal agents for statical water.

  • In recent years, as Chemical Mechanical Planarization(CMP) has been routinely utilized in integrated circuit(IC) fabrication, the consumption of slurry, main consumable in a CMP process, is greatly increased. Thus the reprocess of CMP slurries has been actively considered in the industry to reduce cost-of-consumable (COC). The main purpose of this study was to recycle the used oxide slurry using filters as a new method. As a result, Ultra Fine(UF) Filter could distinguish silica from the used oxide slurry and Reverse Osmosis(RO) Filter could distinguish Deionized(DI) Water and chemistry from chemistry solution. The tetraethylorthosilicate removal rate was almost the same as the number of recycle polishing was increased, when it was modified by slightly adding new SS-12 slurry. The microscratch didnt found as the number of recycle polishing was increased.

  • ZnO thin films on glass substrate were depostied by RF magnetron reactive sputter with various argon/oxygen gas ratios and substrate temperatures. Crystallinities, surface morphologies, chemical compositions, and electrical properties of the films were investigated by XRD, SEM, XPS and electrometer(keithley 617). All films showed a strong preferred orientation along the c-axis on glass substrate, and the chemical stoichiometry was obtained at Ar/O$_2$.=50/50. The propagation velocity of ZnO SAW filter was about 2,590 m/sec and insertion loss was a minimum value of abut -21dB.

막여과지에 대한 이트륨-90의 흡착 반응속도에 관한 연구 (Adsorption Kinetics of Carrier-Free Yttrium-90 on Membrane Filters)

  • The adsorption kinetics on a membrane filter have been studied by an introduction of acid or alkali in yttrium-90 solution. The change of the adsorption in the filtration process was determined by the filtrate activities with using a microsyringe filter holder connected with a syringe. The over all reaction rate obeyed a reversible first order reaction, and the rate constants thus obtained, showed the values of $k_1$ = 0.12 $sec^{-1}$ and $k_1'$ = 0.039 $sec^{-1}$. As a result of the present studies, it would be reasonable that the rate determining step of the adsorption reaction was the hydrolysis reaction of the adsorbed yttrium ions.

Preparation of Colour Filter Photo Resists for Improving Colour Purity in Liquid Crystal Displays by Synthesis of Polymeric Binder and Treatment of Pigments

  • Liquid crystal display (LCD) devices contain a colour filter which can visualise colour images by transmitting or absorbing light. Colour properties of LCD mainly depend on colour materials such as pigments and polymeric binders. In this paper, colour properties were studied to improve colour quality of LCD. Generally, the colour properties can be classified into three categories which are colour purity, brightness and contrast ratio. For this study, photo resists were prepared by treatment of pigments and synthesis of polymeric binder. The treated pigments were dispersed and formulated with additives for preparing a photo resist that could be used for manufacturing colour filters. As a result of what we studied, type, mixture ratio and concentration of pigments were very important to improve colour purity of LCD device.
